No luck either - was annoyed I hadn't read the logs until I arrived. This one really needs to at least be disabled, if not archived.
I had the same unpleasant experience the last Cachers had, place is a toilet, very unpleasant. I have place a new cache nearby, about 5 mins walk as a consolation prize!!
I found the GZ to be a fairly unpleasant place to do much searching, it has been used as a loo more than once. Unusual, as there is a real one near-by. If the cache was very well hidden in September, it may well still be there, but I'm not looking too hard until nature has a clean up.
Searched again today ... but still no find. Some people were camping not too far away, although not directly in view of where GPSr was pointing. Didn't want to linger too long though.
Back for our second look with no succes so PAF time. 5mins later, and friend is at GZ - and sadly no cache. It looks like this one may have gone missing, and unfortunately we had no spare caches to replace. Maybe one for the locals?
This was my 3rd visit. Finally found it. Cannot believe how much the signal bounces around down there. Cache was VERY well hidden. Contents a bit wet. SL TFTC
[A note to searchers: the description _ISN'T_ telling you how to find the cache .. it is describing the surrounding area and inviting you to enjoy it.

Beautiful day to be out caching today, but no luck finding this one. But what an adventure we had. On our first attempt the GPS was all over the place and we couldn't get it closer than 11m no matter which direction we went. After a short morning tea break we had another go and just headed in the direction it was pointing for the approx distance. Hunted around for ages, getting caught up with some blackberry in the process. Decided to call it a day and headed out but ended up quite some distance from where we went in - only to find the gps had fallen out of the pocket. Tried to retrace our steps but things look different going the opposite direction. After quite some time decided to go back to the start and have another go from there. A short time later located the gps on the ground and decided to head home.
My GPS has been a bit slow on the right directional uptake over the last week so this time I tried to follow directions in the description instead - bad mistake but had a nice wander on the walk down to the river X 2 along the way. Easy find once I followed the GPS - why didn't I do that all along! TFTC #1193
Came looking for this one at the end of last summer and couldn't find it despite about 15 minutes searching. Came again today and found it within 30 seconds! Placed Travelcoin
Found it this time! TFTC.
- butterfly, 2x yoyos
+ spider, spinning top, whistle
How did I miss this?!? Prior DNF after 1/2 hour + searching, about 1 hour searching today before PaF to Yeetrees told me I was looking in the right place - looked again and there it was: HOW DID I MISS IT??? Glad to be able to tick this one off the list! Thanks Pipi and Kina ... and Yeetrees!
Cache was wet - dried out as much as I could ... and cleaned it up a bit, so hopefully it will seal better now.

Had a lot of trouble finding the cache, initailly looked in the right place, then all over the place. Eventually found it 'last attempt'.
Great little spot, TFTC

This one took a bit of finding. I had a lot of 'GZ wander' here today, first it was here then it was there, then it was over there, searched here then there, then went back to there, and found it the second time round, I'm sure I looked there the first time. Lol how many times does that happen. A well hidden cache. TNLN SL TFTC
The day was becoming one mixed with patches of sunshine and heavy rain. Behind us were bits of blue sky, and ahead, we could see long rays of the late afternoon sun shining like tall pillars of light from the heavens above. Nearby, a dark curtain of water stretched from rain-bearing clouds to the earth below. And the cache was in that general location several kms away! Thankfully, by the time we got closer, the rain had moved on and we drove over a wet road to the carpark. Got to GZ not long after, but despite searching the area, missed the cache the first time and only when we went back to search the area again, then did we find it well hidden it its spot. Nice area, one we’ve not been to before. As it was getting late, we decided to head home; this being our last cache of the day. Thanks Pipi and Kina for the cache.
Maybe my low sensitivity GPSr lead me astray, maybe I ran out of light before I could find it ... I'll go back and try again some time with a better GPSr.
After initially walking up the wrong track, we found the correct one, and eventually also found this well hidden cache. TFTC
Found this on our second visit - can't believe we missed it the first time. Took the right hand track down to the river this time too. We'll be back. Thanks for bringing us here.
Cache was wet so we dropped in some silica. Otherwise TNLN. TFTC.

A few cars park here today, seems to be a popular walk way.
Many Thanks Bitsprayer

After about the 4 or 5 time looking for this one i and finly found it. lol with in 2 meters of where my GPS was saying it was . .
Thanks Phil for telling us about this great area. Took some finding. Will come back & stay here. Thanks.
Parked rather close to cache, but still took abit of hunting as a few meters from GPS reading. Thanks for leading us to this neat area.
After searching for a wihle, we phoned for a hint and then found it right under our nose where we were looking before.. Yup its by the BIG tree and 7m out from given co-ords.. Thanks for the cache..
May as well enable this cache again so others may seek it out. Looks like it is there after all.....however we are no longer in the area to maintain it, so hope someone will keep an eye on it..........
Finally had a chance to go back and check the cache again, a new beginning and a new year and a new hope, guess what we found it. Exactly where the clue said it was but the GPS was out by 7metres, the cache was a bit wet but managed to dry it out and have hidden it back where we found it, TFTC TNLNSL (507)
Looks like this cache is no longer here, and we are also no longer in the area.........sorry folks, it seems that no one else wants to place caches around the Wairarapa, so they are dying a slow death....
Arrived at this spot and then noticed the logs showing the DNF’s , decided to have a look to see if I could find it , found the spot where I think it should have being, but I think that the cache has gone MIA, may need to be checked by owner.
Searched around GZ for an hour, and found several likely hides. But no cache though.
This one beat us. Found a likely area but no luck. Gave it away after half an hour.
A quick find, deviated to eat plums from nearby tree. Enjoyed the drive in - good stuff. TFTC
Took a bit of fossicking around, but we found it

We spend quite a bit of time rooting around, but once we had concentrated the search area, the cache was easily found.
No problem finding this road, I was up here exploring possible cache sites the very day it was placed! Saw the new listing that night Oh well, I guess we agree it is a good spot for a cache.
Had a wee bit of trouble homing in on this one, GPSr very unsure of itself for some reason but got me there eventually.
No swaps, TFTC.

Time was pressing so time to explore but a nice drive in.
We enjoyed all the caches we visited in a 15 day period and where pleased with the location and the size of the hides. Managed to find at least 1 cache a day and given we have a small baby that is pretty good.

Found Buck Rd easy enough, but finding the cache took a wee bit longer, GPS all over the place with a large EPE. Glad we eventually find it, noticed that some idiots pushed a car over the bank, with it stuck half way up the eroding cliff face.

A wee spot of bother finding the road. Drove right to the cache....yeah right!!! Nice valley. TNLN. TFTC. Another nice camping spot discovered.
Thanks again Pipi & Kina.
We finally got down to do this one, came down here swimming when the kids were younger. Lovely spot, dog loved the run around. We were almost lining up to get this one.

Finding Buck road is a little bit of a challenge - as it doesn't appear to start in Featherston. Thank god for google earth picture we took with us. Once there an easy find - and a very nice spot.
Yep - thought we might still be in for a FTF - drove in here, lovely drive... dared to climb the steep short slope (is that a 4WD rally sprint slope??)
Opened the log book.... Well done Wandering Dragons - two days ago.
Logging now, but 3rd to find. Left a butterfly.
Had fab views on the return trip.

Was part of Wandering Dragons when I found this one. Now branching off to my own account.
Found this one after some scrambling and one reasonably nasty fall. TNLNSL. TFTC!
