Suscoe was staring at a signless frame today and a cleared space where the trees used to be.
Not sure what has happened to this cache but it seems that suscoe couldn't locate it today.
GZ was a long way from the nearest anything.
Maybe it has gone through the chipper with the trees!

Suscoe visited here today, major clearing of the area has taken place as mentioned recently by others.
The CO needs to check this locations as so much has changed here.

Been here many times as a kid with the local footy. Nice memories today, and a pretty easy find. All good with cache, except it's getting hard to find somewhere to sign the log. TFTC.
This cache will need checking they are pulling down and burning all the cyprus trees at the footy ground.
Found this cache while on a solo six-day bicycle geo-tour around West and South Gippsland. I started by taking the train out to Crib Point, and then catching the ferry across to Cowes on Phillip Island. From there I stealth camped near BBQ shelters and dropped in on friends as I rode to San Remo, Wonthaggi, Inverloch, Fish Creek, Leongatha, Mirboo North, Mt Worth and Yarragon. This route took me along most of the Bass Coast Rail Trail and the Great Southern Rail Trail. I caught the train back to the city.
Starting at 'round and around' I was working my way northeast. One cache at a time.
After getting to the top of the Rail Trail, I started looking for a camp spot and get some dinner of sorts at Maccas. Found this cache easily along the way.
T4TC herca!

I swear I have logged this already but it's telling me I haven't so I'll go again tftc
A quick stop had us searching many places but this time I beat M to the punch. TNLNSL. TFTC. KeMS
Nice little step up from nature helped me with this one. I thought I had the place to myself until I turned around after signing the log. Hopefully the muggle pilot was too far away to see what I was up to. TFTC
We arrived at this location in the early afternoon. We were glad that it was a weekday as we anticipated that the area would have been a hive of activity on during the weekend. This cache tok a little tracking down. When we finally located it, our GPS indicated that GZ was still 8m away. The cache and its contents were in good condition. TFTC herca.
Out on a sunny day, quick find but a nice hide. Took shield left assortment of small toys. TFTC
Took longer than we thought to find. Gps wanted me to stand in the middle of the road. Tftc
Last of 13 caches found for the day on our way to Phillip Island from Melbourne. TFTC herca
The area was quiet today which allowed us to look in a few places as the GPS was doing a bit of a B-dance under the trees. Thanks for the cache. The log book needs replacing as it is full.
On a long weekend trip with Sully1 to Phillip Island, we did a few caches along the way.
Nice quick find, thanks for this one and the history behind it herca

Found with bogonghazy whilst on a weekends caching around the area. Thanks to herca for placing this cache.
Found with BorisB&Natasha while caching in the area. Gps didn't want to settle on this one so we just looked for a likely hiding spot and there it was. Thanks herca for the cache.
Out for a fun day of caching with Pea bear. Heading down to do some more of the Rail Trail series so stopped by here on our way. This one was found surprisingly quick given the place it was found. Thanks herca for the cache.
easy find. log is about full. beware of the feral cat who seems to dine in the skip bin. tftc
It was a few minutes before we found this one, it was in the last place we looked. Good hide. SL.

We were a bit worried when we saw the men in their creams out on the oval, but the cache was far enuf away to present no problems with cricketing muggles.

Find #4 for the day with muggle bf. Found reasonably quickly - nice spot to stop. Always forget about Bass. Notepad is starting to get quite full, but there's a pen in there now. Thank you
Found this one today on my way to the event dinner. As I was looking in slightly the wrong place a car beeped at me and waved (they obviously knew what I was doing but I didn't recognise the car and didn't see the driver to see if I knew them). Found this one after that adventure easily. I rehid the cache a little more than it was and signed log but didn't swap anything.
Thanks for the cache and the history lesson herca. I didn't even know that Bass was a real town - I wasn't sure where I thought the Bass Highway came from (maybe the fish!) so thanks for introducing me to the town and the history.

The (adult) kids looked around a bit for this one, but if was not that hard to find once the hint was consulted. Felt like we were mosquito food with so many buzzing around on a nice sunny summer evening.
Our second try on this one. This time the place was very
quiet and we could undisturbed search for the cache.
TFTH. Signed log.

Stopped in to make this find on my way to Wonthaggi for a couple of days. Parked on the roadside rather than entering the recreation reserve and walked a few metres to GZ. A quick find was made and the log was marked with my scrawl. Thanks herca for the cache.
Driving through Bass and stopped for this one next. The oval was deserted today so no hassles with the hunt. Was thinking which side do I attack this from, one looked ugly and the other looked worse, there is a lot of leaf and branch litter around here but in the end, this turned out to be useful to grab this one in the first place I seriously looked after eyeballing for possible hides. Thanks to herca for this one.
Found by mc_retro and the geoscouts en route to home after our annual weekend at Woolamai. Tried unsuccessfully to find this one before, so glad to have it in hand now. Took nothing. Left origami crane.
Log book is full.

Another find of a very successful day of caching with Nufrat, great caches and heaps good weather for our day to Philip Island. Dodged a couple of muggles on the other side of the road, not in the first spot we looked. TFTC
out with Bexta for a day of caching in perfect weather, muggles should stay away when we want a cache, look look then find, tftc

Today was the day for my regular weekend caching run with my caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave. Today was a day we had planned a while back to hit the rail trail on the bike as well as grabbing some of the caches we passed on the way there. The weather forecast was for the low 20's, so perfect for a leisurely ride along the trail between Anderson and Wonthaggi.
Dave had already found this one, so he stayed in the car and left me to go find the cache solo. The GPSr let me straight to the correct spot, It was just a matter of finding it. Looked up and down and eventually focused in on the spot and the cache was soon found.
Thanks to herca for the cache. TNLN.

Took a little while to locate this one, we seemed to attract some locals attention and he was happy to yell abuse at us. Mustn't be a fan of geocahcers. SL TFTC
The Bass locals endeared themselves to us here, yelling at us through their car window. Oh well, it takes all types. Thanks for the cache and the history.
15/07/12 8:47 AM Find #1104 Several weeks ago we'd visited here but it was very busy and didn't give us much of an opportunity to start searching for the cache but today it was completely vacant apart from a few cars but with no sign of the owners we thought we'd give it a go. Square Pegs was in active search mode when I made the find almost immediately. I was nearly signing the log when I got his attention! Thanks for history lesson Herca and for the cache.
While caching with abl973, he found it before I had a chance to even start looking! It was early on Sunday morning and there were a few empty cars littered around the place. It looks they had been left there overnight after some celebrations post match perhaps? Some interesting history, and I wouldn't have known that it was the third permanent settlement in Victoria. Thanks herca for the cache.
Found @ 19:40 in the company of the geowife and emeraldflame. It took a while but finally emeraldflame managed to put her hands on it.

One of 39 (ish) on a Wonthaggi Event run.. A big day, and unfortunately with these big days alot of finds blur into each other, and with soo many to log I must appologise for the copy and paste logging which I do a little too often at times like these.. Another day another cache, however the history here was important and helped this one to stick out in my mind.. Thanks herca for the cache.. Find #2664
Another legendary night caching run by TDC (The Demolition Crew) + 1. A sensational 78 find run to Phillip Island and back with the usual TDC members - myself, TrailRunning and Quasar3671 and one other, the legendary "Roostaman" from Wagga. The trip started in the Dandenong area, and progressed around Westernport and all the way to the other end of Phillip Island. There were several foci for the night, those being the powertrails up the middle of the island, as well as the Drowning, Not Caching puzzle series. We didn't get all the puzzle series done, but we did smash the powertrail. A sensational night, great company, chicken rolls, and an impromptu stop at an abandoned lounge suite on the side of the road, which made for a great "chicken roll" break.
Lots of muggle footy player traffic, but after the coords and units settled down, a quick search and the cache was located. TFTC.

Well it was another Monday night, and it was time for the Demolition Crew to get out and grab some caches. This time the Roostaman joined us for a night fun in the area of Phillip Island. As Quasar3671 had already done many on the Island, he joined Blacklegend and I in the wee hours of the morning to collect those caches he had not yet done. All in all it was a fun night with cheerful banter, chicken rolls and the odd refreshment. While we were not able to clear out the whole island, we grabbed as many as we could, with only 2 DNF in 80 caches. The run started in Dandenong, with a few caches for Blacklegend, but we soon found an area where all of us were happy to collect the smilies. This one was found at about 15 metres from GZ but found quickly enough. The hardest part of searching was the continual stream of footy player traffic coming to the oval for footy training.
Found on a fantastic night caching run to Phillip Island with Blacklegend and TrailRunning, joined later by Quasar3671. Another quick find before we were on the road again. TFTC,

We had decided not to ride the rail trail again so farewelled EuDes at the Anderson roundabout and drove up the highway. Could not resist a few off road caches. With a short back track this was a quick find at 11:40. TFTC

Driving from Phillips Island to Melbourne we stopped off for a few caches along the way.
GPS put us on the road and cache was 13m from our GZ. We decided cache had to be in a tree but which one.
Had to climb a small amount to terrain could be a little higher.
Thanks Jacqueline and Peter #7040
