Logs

28-Feb-11
Its been disabled for too long and is in a national park

21-Sep-10
disabled a month now

05-Aug-10
put on hold till maintenance can be done

02-Aug-10
Looked briefly but it was a bit difficult with all the muggles about and I have to say it was hard to be energetic about it given all the DNFs including some from experienced cachers. Needs an owner check, but they havent responded to my email or the DNFs & needs maintenance logs.

Its time for this one to be archived.

29-Jul-10
Unable to find and now seeing logs it should really be archived. TFTC Felix!

15-Jul-10
Ok then.... well unfortunately it's been several months since the call to have this one checked and a year since it was found. Being in a NP as well it may be time to have this one archieved unless the Scouts can say otherwise and would like to still maintain it. Only just learnt Queensland NP have a Geocaching Ban in place like we do down in NSW. Such a shame, but hopefully will change one day soon. I guess that makes it my last day caching in QLD National Parks... had a good hunt today and adding one last DNF to the mix.

25-Mar-10
Quick vain search and I must say halfhearted having read the previous logs. I love a good mirco hide... in the city where a regular would never live long. Out here not so much a fan. However some people like the challenge! Still, several DNFs and no success in 6 months warrents a cache check I think! Cheers

26-Feb-10
Looked for it 2 days without succes. Is it still there?!

09-Jan-10
Had been hoping that I could locate this one to show my sister family a different type of cache, but my memory of the clues (which I did not have a copy of) was hazy, and so I think we searched in the wrong spot. Have some ideas, after visiting the area, what it might be, but unless I find an excuse to get back up there... they will remain untested. TFT search.

Had a look this morning - armed with hint - but to no avail - will look again while on holidays.
My GPS would not lock on to the satellites and was unable to get a GZ reading -compiled all data available on the logs so far....
Really nice spot though!!

16-Dec-09
[I had two goes at searching for this one but not sure what cameoed means.] I assume it was somewhere along the post and rail carpark fence, or on one of the adjacent trees, [but looking and feeling for half an hour on each visit revealed nothing. Sadly, I am very unlikely to visit Noosa again in my lifetime. The site tells me this cache is 10237 miles from my home coordinates! I did call in at the information bureau and asked the lady whether she was familiar with geocaching in the hope she was aware of the cache but I then spent my time explaining the sport to her.]

What a great spot for a cache, but in a rainforest with little signal... a micro?

I was very disappointed.

13-Nov-09
[font=Comic Sans MS][orange]Ahyeah ...[/orange]

A great NP and then a micro at the toilets? Doesn't make sense. We skiped this one.

This one needs some TLC !!

26-Jul-09
0915hrs. Yes we found it with the Griffo's. Had to resort to a help line. Thanks Konie because we wouldn't have found it. The log is damp and falling apart. TFTCSL

26-Jul-09
2nd attempt at this one and successful. Certainly well hidden and I would say about 18m from the toilet block where the co-ords take you. From here head south the 18m and I'd say you would be pretty close. The log is very wet and the pages are hard to seperate and even harder to write on. A good one to finally complete. Tftc.

02-Jun-09
No joy. Thanks for the hunt cooroy scouts.

07-Dec-08
Fourth attempt at this one, this time armed with a hint gained at the barbeque event cache today from Cooroy Scouts. This one's a nasty hide, but a good one.

TNLN, TFTC.

Finally found with nathanr.au after obtaining a hint at the event today - loved the camo - we were on the right track with our first three attempts but just not close enough

02-Dec-08
Had to wait for a group of muggles checking out a goanna to buzz off, then found after a short hunt around, great camo

After a fruitless search we decided to take a walk around the Palm Grove circuit. On returning we had another search and then resorted to a phone call for a clue.

The information was correct but we were about to give up when the right item was spotted.

What a fantastic cameo! As i worked my way to the cache i new the gz would be well away from the toilet block as that would look soooooo...suss Eventually with super dad who goes for ........Manly......everything was secure and a Matuse was in order.(i think thats what he called it)
Well done scouts.....ha!!!
PS TNLN

30-Sep-08
It was hard looking right next to the toilet block and after looking for nearly 10 minutes we couldn't find it.

26-Sep-08
Usually I find a spot well away from GZ when nature calls, didn't have to at this cache! Very Happy I poked around a bit behind the toilets before heading off to the headland caches, and had another look when I got back. As is so often the case, I hadn't found it because I was looking in the wrong spot! Its not behind the toilets!

23-Sep-08
Had a bit of a poke around for this one but with heaps of muggles hanging around didn't have much chance.

Another DNF to add to the list...at least we don't feel so bad after reading all the previous logs! The stars were not aligning for this one... gps was jumping around, muggles everywhere and the toilet was a bit on nose! Maybe another day.

08-Jun-08
Not keen on this. Can look very suspicious near toilets

01-Jun-08
aaarrgh!
hmmmmmmm!!!,to good for ye' pirate without is sextant!

13-Apr-08
Not out day for this one today - must have been the gorgeous day affecting our caching vision...

15-Mar-08
To many muggles about today Surf looked nice and clean today

09-Mar-08
Did not really get a chance to hunt for this one. Tried twice but far too many muggles with surf boards attending the big carnival. Had a quick look but was obviously being watched so next time?

24-Feb-08
Looked and hunted among the muggles with Team Griffo. No luck.

24-Feb-08
Too tough for us. too many muggles about to have a really good look. People started to think we were really weird hanging around the toilets.

17-Feb-08
A bit too risky for me.

07-Feb-08
Went for an early morning surf and decided to hit this cache again (with afew clues).

Suprise ...suprise....there it was (nasty)!!
well done TFTH

31-Dec-07
After suffering cabin fever from being inside because of the low pressure system, the 4 of us headed out to Noosa National Park to check out the waves this afternoon. Got within 2 metres of where I think GZ is. I just cant say enough about my new GPS - I LOVE IT! I was sure I knew what to look for but came up empty handed. Oh well, another day.

27-Nov-07
Headed up to find this one positive that I knew what to look for. I arrived and after checking and rechecking and confirming that I had the right area started to search. I was getting plenty of strange looks from muggles as they went into the nearby restrooms but continued wondering if I had the right idea.[:o)]

Scratching my head after 15 minutes I was wondering what I had missed (apart from the cache). Took time out to recalibrate myself and back to the search. Oh! There it is and I'd looked there but just hadn't taken enough notice [B)] Found at 1150hrs. Big Grin

I am sure that the owners could hear everything that I called them Twisted

I limped away from there a bit wounded after that one. [B)]

TFTC

P.S. The area is getting a bit trampled.

18-Nov-07
Sad...oh look another unhappy face!Went with the storkers to take on this challenge, as they told me they had a DNF on this. That's right time for... "Dob in a mate"...ha!Didn't know what to look for as the cooroy scouts are notorious with the cameo scenarios and they did not dissappoint!Searched high, low,up, down and around the tiolets as well, so you could imagine what the muggles were singing out...(and its not true!).Had no phone, so i suppose you could class that as a DNF as well. After we were well out of the gz area and at home we discovered the evil doctor "Vicki" had placed orders to her henchman....Well done....Ha!Just remember....goodness always shines through,so we'll find it......
movie comes out next week (TFTH)

After returning home and reading Liz and Bruce's log I am frustrated that after spending 40 minutes at this location with with 'bacabro' we were unable to locate it. I will have to try harder when I get a chance to visit Noosa again. Thanks Cooroy Scouts for the challenge.

14-Nov-07
Allas, but we couldn't find this one. There were too many people around to spend much time looking... better luck next time (hopefully)!

13-Nov-07
This is such a special area we were more than happy to revisit. Though quite late in the day the parking was tight and there was much activity with the surfers trying to find spots so they could get into the water. We eventually found a park quite close to gz. We thought we had a good idea of what we were looking for but trying to find the right piece was never going to be straight forward. This cache is tricky, hard, sneaky and muggles and mozzies just add to the challenge of locating this amazing little cache (the coords are good). Took FTF pin and left flashing motorcycle pin. Thanks cooroy scouts

I was in Noosa for the triathlon and passed this spot a couple of times over the weekend but couldn't find this cache. I looked, scratched my chin with a puzzled look on my face and looked some more, but no luck.
I could only lurk in this area for so long before looking suspicious, so wandered away - maybe next year.

26-Oct-07
I was out on walking cache tour of Noosa and factored this one being an unfound cache. In fact I had three goes at this. Once first thing in the morning with the geowife, once on this walk and once the next day. Getting a good fix was difficult and the GPSr first settled on a spot that only half of us could visit - and a very unlikely spot for a cache. Later it settled down better but to no avail. When I came back the next day, I found something that I thought could have been the cache (based on another find) but was unable to extract anything due to the traffic passing by. It was a nice spot all the same and maybe I'll be back one day.
