Had a good tiki tour of the town, eventually made out way to GZ but there was no luck here today.
I note the previous cacher said they thought it had been muggled but still logged it as a find.
It was a very quiet park here today.
Thanks

[Blue]# 12551[/Blue] Found on our 2015 Winter escape trip to Qld.
Another perfect winter day for a drive around Home Hill and Ayr.
A good tour around and a safe hide away from the crowd. Wink
Cheers from Wagga Wagga in the Riverina, NSW.
Thanks for the cache HDSpringer,

We'd driven from Charters, found 3 caches, had lunch, knocked over 3 more before 2pm then hit the wall. We couldn't see B, but eventually worked around it with some creative maths, found E walking past it the second time, then stopped at a toy shop. Worked out the final coordinates a few times while the Geo-kids amused themselves in the playground near the Anzac Park. Drove to the coordinates had to search for a while as grass clippings and dirt had been placed around the likely hiding places. We eventually found it, signed log, replaced as found (under a rock) and went off in search of ice cream. Thanks for another interesting cache SecretSquirrel-BJC & HDSpringer.

Day off from work, so decided to head down to the Ayr and Home Hill area to do a spot of caching.

Nice walk around the Ayr CBD collecting the necessary clues and then it was short drive to the GZ for a quick find.

Log signed. The cache container and contents were found to be in excellent condition.

Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1373.

Thanks for the Multi Cache hide HDSpringer Smile

On a road trip up to Townsville for a very important meeting for Mrs Bundy. She is heading to Japan for a month away, in a couple of months time, with Scouts to attend the 23rd World Scout Jamboree. She is going as a Troop Leader, in charge of 36 people. I feel its a great honour for her, for her 25 + years of dedicated work as a leader.

Last for today, on our way back home. Stayed in town for the night. Took a little bit of time to find all the info.

Nice easy one.

Cheers

Bundy

11:42:00 AM. Walked into town from the local caravan park and off we went. Was a good ealk around the town and the clues were easly to find. Walking to the final GZ we started to wonder if we had worked it out all wrong but in the end it was all good, Thanks HDSpringer.

After a short walk around Ayr, the final co-ords were worked out. Battling the rain and soggy conditions, it wasn't long before the cache was in hand.

[u][green]Dazzpete's Ayr Adventure[/green][/u]

Lot's a muggles at WP1 packing up, we assume from yesterday's Election Activities. They weren't interested in what we were doing and we soon had the required information. Then it was off for a nice stroll around Ayr to be introduced to some interesting tidbits we might not have otherwise visited or even noticed.

Spent another day looking around Ayr, and found a few near by caches.
A great multi which took us a while., had to ask a show owner where Anzac Park was.
Gathered all the clues and GZ was quickly found.
Thanks for the tour today, HDSpringer.

24-May-13
We decided to go for a stroll around to do the homework before dinner. Finding some of the sculptures and plaques in the dark was interesting. The sites were lovely and it was a relaxing break from the BJE. We have to come back on one of the no shadow days. After dinner we did the sums, and first thing this morning we went in search of the prize. The cache is in good condition and was easily found. Thank you very much for the excuse for the stroll and the chance for a smiley.

Found on a day of geocaching in Ayr & Home Hill. A steady walk up & down the main street of Ayr collected the clues & the maths were done over a couple of cold beers & burgers at the local hotel & then off to GZ. An easy find but would recommend gloves to find the geocache. TFTC

Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo.

A day of caching from Cairns to Ayr. A road trip with a chance to stretch the legs is a good thing.

Yessssssss....we did return and I found this in the FIRST place I looked. It was the last cache for the day and we knew we could take it easy. No rush to move on. A lesson for all young bucks. And I knew beer was not far away. Of course we would always find it now......RazzRazz

Thanks to SecretSquirrel-BJC and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Well!!! After not finding it last year I've returned to Ayr for another look.
In the last month I've had a few looks and today finally came up with the cache.
Great to be able to log a find as we leave tomorrow to head south again.
Enjoyed the frustrating search so TFTC.

# 274 Monkeys go scrub

Took the monkeys for a tour down to Ayr and Home Hill, and then west to Ravenswood.

After Silverlink, the whinging got to much to handle, so I took them back to Ayr to get Maccas to have a fed and have a little play. We planned to come back on the way out, but figured that we may as well clean up all the other caches here before leaving.

We found all of the clues easily, and it as good to see Ayr again. The Monkeys could resist running down the hill to play while Champs crunched the numbers. At GZ, we were getting strange signals and checked all three before coming back to the first one and finding the cache.

Visited each of the Waypoints and gathered the required information.
After working out a set of co-ordinates, visited the GZ with Brahms6 and the Flash in the evening to search via torchlight.
After a bit of scratching around, the cache was located.
Thanks SecretSquirrel for a well thought out multi-cache. It was heaps of fun.

Here in Ayr for five weeks working with the indigenous community, so took the opportunity on day 2 to get to know the layout of the town by doing this cache. Easy stroll on a Sunday with hardly a soul in sight. Was a bit worried about the length of time since it was last found and the recent DNF, but no problems scrounging around in the leaves till I saw the sneaky little container. Mozzies galore with all the rain here recently, so bring your spray to GZ! TFTC Cool

After enjoying my first look around Ayr gathering info I proceeded to do my maths.
Unfortunately the place where GZ appeared to be had plenty hiding spots but none had a cache that I could find.
Disappointed as I'm only hear short time.

Found ok after a nice stroll through town gathering info with my muggle daughters from Ayr. A public holiday meant hardly a soul in town Big Grin Thanks for tour SecretSquirrel-BJC

I tackled this one while in town on business. Collected the first lot of clues OK. Had a stumble on the second one - coz I was looking at the wrong questions for the WP. After getting harassed by some locals at the pub.. .and finally collecting the clues at the nice little park.. I made my way to the perceived GZ. Mr TomTom wasnt making me happy about where we were going - but I have learned to treat it with a grain of salt. Thankfully, this was one of these occasions. Soon had the cache in hand. An excellent little multi that took me through the town. TFTC SecretSquirrel-BJC & HDSpringer Smile

Liked this easy Multi, it shows you things in Ayr that you usually miss, because you don't stop to wander around. Thanks. Collected all the clues onthe way to my long weekend caching holiday and then found the cache on the way back home. Especially liked the sculpture at WP3 Smile.
Thanks for a fun evening. TNLN SL

Wow what a fantastic multi. I recommend everyone one to take the time and do this multi it really takes you to some interesting places in Ayr. Found cache eventually after almost giving up I think the difficulty level should be higher there is a lot of hiding places and for a small cache the possibilites are endless, decided to have another quick look and luckily came away with the prize. Thanks for organising this great cache I really enjoyed it. TNLN

This was a good little run around town. Got to GZ and Hubby sat as we thought this was going to be a quick find. Yeah right. After digging and scratching and considering to climb, we decided to have a squiz at the hints. Vuala...found it finally. Fantastic little hide and was the final cache for us for Ayr and Homehill.

From one SS-BJC cache to another...........

After finding The "P" Stop, it was a case of following the road into Ayr and starting this neat little multi. Arrived at WP1, which wasn't here the last time I was in town (I use to hang out across the road). Found the required info here, then drove to WP2, walked to WP3, before driving to WP4.

After working out GZ, it was a quick drive around to start the search..........and 20 minutes later, the cache revealed itself. A tough find, but my excuse is that is hasn't been found for 5 months, so was well covered.

Thanks SS, really pleased to find the two QLD hides..........

Twice attemps - Last Friday I took all questions then have homework - today return and found it - I almost give up but luck I spot it.... Interest about history - worth to visit. SL. Thanks SecretSquirrel-BJC & HDSpringer for organising the cache and hunt.

We did this history tour this morning, right after leaving the caravan park. All stages were easy to find. Only the final took a little bit longer as the park gott currently watered and the gardener was watching me. Finally he left and I got soaked Wink

Decided to stop quickly and nab this multi while there was still some sunlight hanging around. All the locations were known to Bumblebee, so working out the final co-ordinates for GZ were done rather quicklySmile. The search for the final container took a little bit longer. Ballbag soon made the find and Bumblebee retrieved the container. Signed the log and returned it to its hiding spot. TFTC.

Second find for the day. Found at 12:30pm. Being Scorpion's home town, it didn't take long to find the area's in question. Once all was said and done, the co-ordinates of the final resting place looked to be incorrect [?]. Luckly Butterfly decided that they all go search the nearby 'play area.' While Butterfly sat and changed male Geo-Brats nappy, Scorpion went for a nook and cranny search and came up with the goods. Logged find and moved on.

Ciao! [:p]

Checked the cache when I went into town today. It is still quite safely tucked away! Better luck next time kaweir.

10-Aug-08
we did this one and got to gz but there was 2 people sitting near by playing bongo drums and watching us so I walked around for a bit to draw attention away from hubby while he looked in the obvious spot. but with lots of poking around no luck so it looks like we will have to try again on our next trip to ayr in the future.

Gathered all the relevant info at the various points of interest. It was quiet in town on this Saturday arvo, sorted the co-ords but couldn't sort out the checksums. Off to GZ and after a bit of a prod around we came up with the cache. Thanks for taking us on this great tour. Found at 1535.

Found it ... or more to the point, what I believe to be its remains. Twisted

Did the tour and put all the clues together, nice work by the way, resolved a set of coords, which lead us to a likely location. Started to have a look around when I noticed what appears to be half of the cache container ... whilst a little disappointed, kept looking for the rest ... but couldn't find anything else [?] email sent to owners.

Was hoping to drop some bugs off too, as I had been hanging on to a couple a bit too long.

While I really hope I am wrong, I fear the worst for this stash, will seek confirmation from owners or Burdair_3.

There normally aren't to many new caches in our little neck of the woods so it was a bit of a thrill when this one popped up. We decided against heading off in our PJ's but curiosity killed the cat so the process of trying to nut out where GZ was going to be began. Eventually there was a conculsion but Mr burdair was a bit of doubting Thomas so we still checked out a number of waypoints to prove the theory which ended up being correct. Big Grin But working out where GZ was the easy part actually putting our hands on the cache was the hard part. We were surprised by the amount of muggle activity in the general area so we abandoned our first search attempt and much the same thing happened during our second attempt. During our third attempt we were very aware that there was a set of eyes watching us but this time they were those of the cache owner who had joined us to make sure the cache was actually still there. It was!! Red Face But the new cache guardian (a rather large spider) was in no hurry to surrender the container. After it was encouraged (rather large sticks can come in handy Wink ) to move on the container was retrieved. Talk about a case of third time lucky. Yet another memoriable FTF for us. TNLNSL but we did pick up the two TB's that were there and we left another. Thanks Secret Squirrel-BJC and HD Springer. Oh and thanks for adding that extra hint.
