It's still there! We were concerned to learn that the cache had been archived, as we'd been the last finder and had left a TB there. We have returned for a couple of days with family, a meeting, and some caching, so had a look where we left it. It had taken us a while to find last time, as it was quite well hidden, and we replaced it the same way. It was just as we left it, so we retrieved the TB and again replaced the cache as it had been hidden before. Recommend the owner check its location in case it has moved from where it is supposed to be..
Sorry guys, this cache is no longer there, someone must have taken it. My apologies to those who went looking but could not find it, I appreciate that you would look for one of my caches. Thanks again and sorry. medicalmarcus
Sadly did not find it. It had one of my TBs visiting this cache too (:-((
I was introducing some scouts to GPS units and geocaching today and this was their first cache to visit. So it did not go well as far as creating some enthusiasm.
Between us we had 5 GPS units and 5 pairs of eyes searching for the cache but with no success. We also saw the butterfly in the tree and also the suspicious looking pile of sticks. We assumed that it had met with unsavoury visitors.

Went to GZ according to my e-trex and saw a loose collection of sticks, but no cache. Had a fairly good look around without luck. A plastic yellow butterfly sitting in a tree at GZ makes me suspicious of a muggling! I'll keep an eye out and see if anyone else has any luck with this one.
Found by Mary & David at 1540. We needed some cheering up after a couple of DNFs. This one did the trick. Mary always enjoys checking out new shopping areas. Dropped off 'Koala the Slow One' TB. Our thanks to medicalmarcus.
Nice diversion - found the first bit immediately. It then took me a few more minutes to figure out what I should actually have been looking for. TFTC.
First to Florey seemed like an appropriate first cache to find after flying in from Hobart. I hoped to have a few hours caching before it got dark but a four hour delay leaving Hobart meant I had to find this one with the torch.
Thanks for the cache medicalmarcus

Adding this one onto our walk around the lake was possibly a poor judgement as it meant I got home after 1am (well after my bed time!) or was it the one after this one????
Found the pile of sticks after a bit of a search and gave it away to Thelostmatt because I was so surprised I had finally found it! Oooops - my poker face is normally better than that... Also found a golf ball!
T: I released the spring bunny! Cool toy!
L: something - a dog? (the log has the details )

4 visits. 1st visit, had been muggled although it hadn't been confirmed . 2nd visit was just in case it hadn't been muggled and my eyes weren't working. 3rd visit was after it had been replaced and couldn't find it. 4th time lucky but only with the help of a fellow cacher. Thanks RPL.

Have to say I agree, not a huge heap of sticks but sticks nevertheless.
The GPS had us wandering all over the place but eventually found the cache.
Was number 5 for a morning of discovering caches within 3 kms of home.
We took Nemo and will endeavour to take him on a long journey in the not too distant future and left the "sprung" rabbit. Hope someone lets it out soon!
Thanks for the cache.

At GZ I couldn't find a pile of sticks anywhere.
Tied the geohounds up (separately ,so I didn't have another 'Let's eat Puddy's lead' incident) and expanded my search area.
Not really a pile of sticks, more like a flat layer covering of sticks (you have to realise, I was looking for an enormous tower of sticks with a neon sign saying 'Cache hidden here')
Left TB and took TB. TFTC, felt nice to sign a brand new log book

Spent awhile looking for this one with no luck. Have noticed the last few were also unable to locate. Could Medicalmarcus please confirm whether cache is still there. Tks NanPop
Had a good look for this a while ago and was wondering if the owner could check on the location and confirm its placement please....
In the words of Borat, "Oh that's sooooo funny...NOT!" Spent 15 minutes looking in the dark, while the locals looked on. After reading previous logs about the funky contents we moved on.
Found it.
As mentioned before the cache contents aren't pleasant. The log is starting to get a little damp.
Nice place for a game of cricket however. Thanks

Happy to log another find, but didn't feel the thrill of the hunt with this one.
Contents still damp.
Thanks for helping me notch up another find.

Found the cache while in Canberra for a few days on a caching trip. Nice easy find. We found both, does that mean we get to log two finds (only joking). Thanks medicalmarcus for the cache.
Went to Florey for take away dinner and walked across the oval while we were there. 3yo GeoKid was not very impressed with the wet contents. TNLNSL (there is a pen in the cache)
Mrs R was on a roll today, taking the find quick, this was our 14th find before lunch, since 9.30am. Top stuff, it not for the numbers really !!
As Hailtothethief says, the rubbish in the area really made for an uninspiring find. Still, it was a nice day for a ride. TFTC
Shame about the massive amount of rubbish, although it does provide good camo for the cache which is just another bit of plastic on the hill....
Found with Wilga and our 11 month old, who was enjoying an afternoon tea snack whilst I filled out the log.

This was number 4 on my caching raid through Canberra's suburbs. It's an interesting way to get around and see places, you never would have thought of going to.

Found at about midnight (with Hiphop89), so I didnt see the hiding place for about 10 minutes due to no light. Good hiding spot, and thanks to the last finders for hiding it so well for me.

Found at 11:05 with shell_seeker and matt_stomper - our second together for the day.
Almost a drive-by - we parked the Stealth GeoBeast, raced across he road, found the cache and signed the log, and were driving back off again within a few minutes. The locals would hardly have noticed us !
I'm not familiar with Florey, so it was a bit of an intro to the suburb.

Found with Matt_Stomper and SW2092. It was a little damp inside as some moisture had found its way in. May need a little drying out to avoid mould growing. TFTC

Found with help from GeoTeen and Geohound Cougar. Nice easy find, unexpected covering given the environment. Contents very damp but log okay. Signed it and declined to trade. TFTC

Dropping off The Two Towers Tag 2 TB. No sign of the other bug.
The light rain earlier uncovered it a little, it's (hopefully) a little more covered now.

Has this in the GPSr so grabbed it with the Geokid on the way home however the TB is not there.
Log has a little moisture in the bag so I dried it and (hopefully) resealed it up tight.

Nice quick find, lots of rubbish around (including rather large mattress). No sign of the little trackable crab that is supposed to be there.
swooped down on this one , just like the black and white bird that swooped me. This one needs to be covered abit more. A path is forming!

This cache was only 700 or so metres from the last one and was a short walk across the oval from where I parked.
Cache was a bit exposed so I covered it better.
Thanks

Found it after far too long of hunting for it. Turned out to be in plain sight and I just wasn't looking right at it as I passed it. Took a green rubber spider and signed my name. Covered it better as I left. My first ever! YAY!
The slope was quite slippery, too cold for snakes just yet, nice easy find for the kids on the way home from school. Thanks.
After a small hunt I manage to find both the container and a decoy - interesting. Lots of broken glass around here.

A very timid search (given the look of some of the rubbish nearby). Found in the end without too much difficulty. TNLN.
Ohhh, fake grass... We parked in front of a house that's yard was mainly fake grass! Always wondered how that would look. Not sure if I like it though. Anywho, the cache was a nice easy find and we were on our way again. TFTC
quick easy cache, found the house with the fake grass, interesting, reminded me of my grand's house. TFTC!
This was my first ever cache and I am so excited!!! This is like a secret society all over the world so I will make sure not to tell too many people about it. I am definitely going to keep playing this game.
The cache was partially visible when I found it so that is how I returned it. Is that how it works? I guess I wont find out until I find more of them.
Didn't take anything or leave anything but I may go back later and do it considering this was my first cache. Awesomely awesome.

Far out there is some c**p around this cache, pity. Great place for a clean up. Nice hide. Caches on slopes always screw me and the GPS. Final cache for the day and I think I cracked 400 caches. Thanks for the cache ZZ7
#188 - I was beginning to think I had a DNF when I the found the red herring. Searched a bit further and found that the hint did mean what I had originally assumed.

Our first cache. We only heard of geocaching the day before. Great that there was one within easy walking distance of home! Next time we'll try to swap an item in the cache. Sorry we didn't this time.
After having no luck on my first cache this morning .. it was good to find something... easily found. looks like another sports oval gone to seed.

We noticed a mistake on the cache page as soon as we read it .as we were up from Melbourne we had never heard of Florey let alone know where the shops were. Luckily our companion tom tom had heard of this area and showed us where it was
Thanks again medicalmarcus

Heading to Latham to watch the mighty Woden Wanderers 3rd grade side and thought I'd check the TomTom for undiscovered nearby caches....
Thanks for this one, it was a good hide, in an easily accessible spot for an incidental find.
I grabbed Fore's Aus2007 GC to move along and left nothing.

Every time you cache in Canberra you always get an education in something. So it comes as a surprise that a cache with the name Florey, only mentions the local shops. No logs even mention the Nobel Laureate (who the suburb is named after) and his contribution to world health. Sometimes I think people know more about overseas history than our own.
Went to grab this one at lunchtime on a weekday before chistmas and decided against it due to all of the school kids playing on the nearby oval.
Nice quick find today and hid it a little better than how I found it.

I'm guessing this area isnt visited too often as I was surprised to see the cache only hidden by a few sticks, yet unmuggled. Maybe that was just a night time percepttion. TNLN Thanks

24th find for the day at 1825. A nice easy find. I didn't park at the shops.
This cache is not far from my old high school but i don't have a lot of reason to visit Florey these days ... good to see it still has the gaudy fences on the overpasses
Mapn introduced me to geocaching with this cache the other day. Now I'm a member, I took my kids along to find this one themselves. We're having a great time.

The weather ruined my plans for a lunchtime run through Belconnen yesterday. The weather was better today but I was without transport which meant I could only nip out for this cache.
I'm surprised it hasn't been muggled - GZ appears to be well frequented.

Funnily enough this was the hardest find of the day out of the 5 others we found. Helped in part by being thrown off by the diversionary micro then a heavy rain came down and we sheltered under the trees - which we found provide quite good cover. Gps led us astray on this one - not sure if it was the clouds or being under the tree - but a good 20min was spent looking for the cache and hiding from the rain.
In the end when it was spotted it was quite obvious.

Second time lucky with this cache - I have no idea why I didn't spot it the first time - I expect I was put off by the wet leaves after it had rained. It also helps to actually read the cache description!
