What a lovely drive today through the southern wheatbelt, well south of great eastern highway!

There was a fair amount of rain about today and with us having a later start than planned meant we had to skip the group of caches at kokerbin rock and just focus on everything else on the map.

Our focus today was to leave only caches north of great eastern highway to find for our next wheatbelt trip.

Absolutely love it out here, serenity, nice bush hides no micros!

Had a great day out with the highlight being collecting 5 more caches from the wheatbelt science trail, meaning we only have around half a dozen more to be the first teams to complete the series!

Collected a few archived caches that are still on play and had a great day out. Only a dozen finds but still a good day.

Jinta29 and I decided to head out for a couple of days and cross off some more LGAs.

When I am out caching, i always check the area for archived caches.
This one popped up so I decided to check it out.
A bit of huff and puff to get to the top but the view was worth it.

I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at
[WA GOES BIG 2017](https://coord.info/GC6TD11) in Rockingham, WA.
Perths big event is on again.
**See you there**.

ZED! - Kyzabra found your cache Roe Dam . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.!

With the holiday season upon us and a leave pass from Mrs jinta I decided to call up ol' mate Kyzabra and see if he was keen for a two day caching road trip... he came back with a pretty quick 'yep, let's go' Big Grin. Woohoo! Cool

We made a plan to start caching in Brookton and head out towards Hyden and Lake King and then loop back to Perth through Narrogin [^]. The main focus was grabbing caches in all the counties on the way through (9 or 10 different ones hopefully).

There were several archived caches that we added to the hit list as well as a few multis and an earthcache for good measure. Smile

A massive thanks here to ZED! for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture out to this glorious part of the state. Cheers!

jinta29 found your cache Roe Dam on 29/12/2016, 2:59 PM. This is my find #6140 and find #13 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again for placing this and bringing us to this location!

Tip: Park at base of dam wall, NOT picnic area. Third (and final) day of my loop through the Eastern wheatbelt. Can't do any more for a while 'cos the cricket starts on Saturday and that's me stuck in front of the telly for the next month. Found this one today at 12:10. Whew! this one was a bit puff-making on a hot day, but nice obvious hiding spot. TNLNSL TFTC

Tftc Smile beautiful up here but there's an icy cold wind blowing! The cache lid won't stay clipped shut. Small amount if water in cache but log dry. Dryed cache and lid held on with rocks. Needs replacing though.

With the rain steadily falling this morning we hoped the rock wouldn't be too slipperty. It proved not to be the case as the dampness on the rough surface still left plenty of grip for our shoes. We enjoyed the views the climb and the cache. TNLN. Thanks nobodyZ

Found @ 5:30 on a hot autumn evening we have both the flies and mosquitos to contend with at the same time! Only the 4th to find not a very popular cache and it has quite a nice camping area nearby too. Thanx for the cache.

That was a big hill.
We took our time walking up so we didnt burst a pipe.
We needed the exercise anyway as we have been stuffing ourselves on bakery goods at the country towns.
A local family parked right near us and we had a nice chat with them up the top of the hill while they pointed out the various farms and history of the area. They could have worked as tour guides.
Awesome views.
This would be a tough one on a hot day so we suggest taking the cooler part of the day when finding it...maybe early morning.
Added Hairclips
Took Pencil sharpener (turned out to be a noise maker instead...unsure of what it is...maybe a bee sound)
Thanks for the cache we enjoyed it hugely

Seventeenth of seventeen for a very long day[xx(].
Yay, another First to FindBig Grin. I found it just before complete darkness set in, so the flies weren't bad, but I had worn my head net just in case, and it protected me from the mosquitos on the way back to the van. Spent the night, not a bad camping area and the toilets are nice and clean. By 3 AM it was actually quite cool and comfortable enough to sleep.
