Last time we were here we did not know about are archived caches. Now we do & this one is in good condition with its original logbook in situ.
We had this one loaded on the GPS’r before we left home and made a quick find after the Wheatbelt Science one nearby. Damn .. that tree is evil. Got a nasty scratch on me trying to retrieve the cache, but it’s all part of the game

Well, another weekend and it is time once again to head away to gather some more counties for a challenge that I am close to competing . I targeted caches in 7 different LGA counties which should get my total to over 90 . I was able to grab a bunch of archived caches as well which is always a bit of a buzz for me! Completing this challenge has also given me a great opportunity to see more of this wonderfully diverse state [^]. I had a fantastic time caching around here and a massive thanks to the CO's for the effort in placing the caches!
ZED! - jinta29 found your cache Bruce's Rock. This is my find #6105 and find #3 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for the time and effort taken to place this cache!

Out on another day trip with Steve. I'm starting to like this Thursday off business. A great drive around the country side and picked up a few smiley faces TFTH TFTC
TFTC! Out for another Wheatbelt drive with Cravo10 to cleanup a bunch of caches published since or that we left since our last visit a couple of years back.
Had a great day out covering approx 900km and visiting a large number of country towns that have very low cache density. Highlights included finding more of zed' archived caches and visiting roe lookout which had fantastic views of the countryside.
Thanks

Have a bit of pity on us poor old buggers who find it hard to get down and crawl. Sneaky hide. TNLNSL TFTC
This was a must for us as one half is a Bruce. Sorry it's such a small rock, the other half likes big rocks. Thanks ZED!

Quick find by geojunior another big rock we have seen today on our days travels cache lid not staying clipped shut very well but remains dry inside. Tftc
Found while out and about when camped over at Kokerbin Rock. Great spot and thanks for bringing us here.
Heading out of Perth on another weekend jaunt to learn about our new caravan and train the cat how she has to travel and find caches as a GeoCat on our trip around Australia.
Camping at Kokerbin rock this weekend. With a late arrival Friday we didn't have time to search for caches till today.
We locked up the van with the cat inside and set off on a tour to include Bruce Rock, Narembeen and Corrigin before returning.
Didn't take the GeoCruiser long for us to get us to this one. Nice spot to visit.
Looking forward to meeting other cachers at WA goes BIG in 2013 - GC45X55

Visit to Bruces Rock on our way to Wave Rock. Short search and cache in hand.
Quick find, lid suffering a bit but managed to eventually get it to lock shut..
[:(!] Went for day of geocaching with my darling geowife as we drove through the following towns. York, Quairading, Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Beverley, York and then going on home, picking up some caches along the way and this was one of them, parking our new geoGrand Vitara (3 door) as close as possible to GZ and we walked the 40 odd meters to the cache, on arrival at GZ we had the cache in hand in a matter of minutes.

Started out for a short drive and ended up a 600km round trip.
This was one of the caches I found.
Lid's not fitting very well, a bit wet inside.
No black spiders here today. TNLNSL TFTC

Nice and easy spot. Not so sure I would root around in the undergrowth when the sun was out but today it was raining! TFTC
This one took a little bit of searching but once found we went off to explore the rock.

Bruce sure did have a big rock! lovely spot I would not have ever seen if it were not for this cache. AWESOME. Took nothing, left nothing.
A very interesting place we did not know existed and will use again for our breaks whilst travelling to Kalgoorlie. TFTH
An easy find on our way into Bruce Rock for the night on our way home after doing the Holland Track.
Found this in Company of Devildog3 on our 2800KM trip 4 day bender geocaching TNLN TFTC
A nice easy find for the last cache of the day, left finger puppet Big Ben,TN SL TFTH. Regards from Grey Nomadz
WanderingAus wandered by on day two of a four day cache placing run into the wheatbelt on the way from placing WanAus 143 - Tammin Trails and heading towards Bruce Rock to place WanAus 156 - LKA Bruce Rock. Parked the geoChallenger, walked a short distance, and made a very quick GAFF 1 find. I was all set to camp there for the night, but when I pulled out the tent I realized I'd left the tent pegs behind at my camp spot near GC17CAR Namelcatchem by nobodyZ.[:o)] I went into town and paid $10 for a hut at the caravan park for the night - very good value, a powered site is $15.
My find No 2040, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped Ryan's Take a Kid Geocaching GC No 2 (ref = TB31WZF) and my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

After reading one of the previous logs we decided to base ourselves at the caravan park at Bruce Rock and then head off and do some other caches. A good decision with the caravan park costing $15 for a powered site per night and a washing machine available at no cost for use by the caravan patrons. We enjoyed the natural bushland near gz and found the cache without any problem. TNLN. Thanks nobodyZ
nice easy one to finish the day took crock key ring left skeleton key ring and frog key ring
We didn't go to the plaque on the rock because it appeared to be on private land. Thanx for the cache.
Still following in the footsteps of LPN..LOL
Nice area which we have been to before, but before Geocaching.
Neat hidey hole, but a nice easy find.
TNLNSL....Thanks for the cache here. Quick stop in Bruce Rock, before returning to our camp at Kokerbin rock via the cache Stirling view.

We had a grea time at Bruce Rock. We had been traveling all day finding caches and had camped out in the bush the night before. We needed a nice place to stop the night but didnt want to hurt the bank balance.
(As of Oct 2008)We inquired at the pub and could get a motel room for $85 a pub room for $50. Not too bad but we wanted to go cheaper so we checked out the caravan park.
The park is very well run and spotlessly clean.
Unpowered camp site is $5 per person and huts are only $10 per person (supply your own linen). Powered site was $15
The Camp kitchen is huge and new with a TV and few cooking implements and two stoves. There are free BBQ's
For those that dont want to cook, the pub is walking distance.
The showers were hot and toilets clean.
They are trying to tap into the backpacker market and encourage them to come and stay.
The pool is next door to the Camp ground if you plan to come here in summer it even has a waterslide.
What we liked most about it was that there was no crowds. It is also an alternative way to get to Perth from Kalgoorlie if you live in the Southern suburbs.
Now back to the cache. We found it and logged it. Well hidden.
In: Screwdriver
Out: Hairclips
We will be back to Bruce Rock sometime and will use it as a hub for other places in the future.
We would stay here before we stayed in Hyden ($20/night unpowered campsite and crowded)and travel out on adventures each day.
Thanks for taking us to a town we had previously overlooked.
