Jinta29 and I decided to head out for a couple of days and cross off some more LGAs.

When I am out caching, i always check the area for archived caches.
This one popped up so I decided to check it out.

The container has seen better days but the log book is still intact. Big Grin

I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at
[WA GOES BIG 2017](https://coord.info/GC6TD11) in Rockingham, WA.
Perths big event is on again.
**See you there**.

ZED! - Kyzabra found your cache Anderson Rock . This is my find #12 today.Happy to say the cache is still here and I was able to add my name to the log. .!

Smile I have been quite actively seeking out archived caches lately as it is quite a thrill to find caches that are off the radar! This was one that was handy to the area I was in and I thought I would have a wee look to see if I could find it. Yep, still there and able to be signed. WOOHOO! Smile.

With the holiday season upon us and a leave pass from Mrs jinta I decided to call up ol' mate Kyzabra and see if he was keen for a two day caching road trip... he came back with a pretty quick 'yep, let's go' Big Grin. Woohoo! Cool

We made a plan to start caching in Brookton and head out towards Hyden and Lake King and then loop back to Perth through Narrogin [^]. The main focus was grabbing caches in all the counties on the way through (9 or 10 different ones hopefully).

There were several archived caches that we added to the hit list as well as a few multis and an earthcache for good measure. Smile

A massive thanks here to ZED! for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture out to this glorious part of the state. Cheers!

jinta29 found your cache Anderson Rock on 29/12/2016, 2:05 PM. This is my find #6138 and find #11 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again for placing this and bringing us to this location!

TFTC! Found during a 6-Day trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie, Esperance and back to Perth via many back roads and country towns. We found a huge number of caches, clocking up nearly 3000km for the entire trip.

The highlights of the trip have been picking up a bunch of old caches in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding towns, placed by some of Western Australia's first geocachers.

We ventured as far north as Leonora in search of our prizes even visiting a large number of ghost towns along the golden outback trail, some of the most amazing places I've seen in my life, see the pics if you want to know more.

During our trips out from Kal we think we visited nearly every gravesite or headstone in the region with the number of caches in and around cemeteries!

We completed a large amount of cache maintenance around the Kal area, with a large number of the older caches suffering with cracked lids, smashed containers, wet logs and alike. We planned to help about a dozen caches with new containers and ran out after the first couple of days. So if you're in the area please help out as best you can.

We also picked up a number of caches in Esperance placed by some of the newest cachers in the state, who seem to have so much passion and energy.

We ventured out to Cape Le Grande and picked up a few of the caches there, not quite being game enough to grab the views of hellfire cache but we grabbed all of the others Smile we paid for our walking that night!

We even had time to place a couple of caches in my Country Cache series so please look out for them on your travels. Thanks to the locals who have kindly agreed to maintain them.

Thanks to all of the Cache owners for placing the caches that we found, hopefully you can place a few more for our next trip Smile

Thanks

Container still in decent nick. 2 clips left. Another 14 months of no love here. Great spot and on to narembeen we head

Went on a trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie down to Esperance and then back to Perth. Spent 6 days finding, hiding and even maintaining caches along the way.
The majority of caches were found easily and in good condition even some archived ones.
Took a few travel bugs and placed along the way.

Third (and final) day of my loop through the Eastern wheatbelt. Can't do any more for a while 'cos the cricket starts on Saturday and that's me stuck in front of the telly for the next month. Found this one today at 12:45. Rock wasn't too high and hide was fairly obvious, so nice quick find. TNLNSL TFTC

Easy find once I found the right track to go down. There is a sign to it from Anderson Rock Rd. I didn't read all the logs before going there but I can confirm tat the container does need replacing as it no longer clicks shut. SL TN LN TFTC ZED.

Although I'm very late logging my finds, I will always remember THIS one. I camped here with my Mummy and Daddy (o'cholio) and it was so windy the tent nearly blew over! TFTC.

We've seen our fair share of these natural wonders, and this one was so quiet - and it was so late in the day - that we decided to set ourselves up here for the night and catch a sunrise over the rock. The sunrise was spoiled by clouds, but that didn't detract from the spot. A great place to visit - thanks for bringing us here.

The last one for the day on a huge round trip from Kalgarin to the Crash Site of the VV from WW11 to Narembeen and back to our caravan. 6pm at night and pitch black on a clear winter's night, walking up to the top of the rock and what did we see? Lots of farmers in the paddocks seeding, lots of tractor lights from this high up, interesting doing this at night time - you get a different view, and happy to find it. TFTC TNLN

4:45pm Another good climb over a large rock. We spotted some spider orchids and a lot of large tadpoles in a pond which may have been a Gnamma hole.
There are lots of birds making noise in the area perhaps preparing for night time.
Took nothing but left the Caribiner by team "ran off and teamdundat 2008".
Next stop Hyden for the night.
