Found at about 11:30 am on the morning after the big wet.
A well thought out cache, and well hidden.
Covered in clay and sand I was almost about to give up, and then I thought "the clue MUST be right".
The cache was soon in hand.
A rewarding find considering the night before the area had about 60 mm of rain.
Site now has some extra cammo courtesy of mother nature.
The geokids made a few swaps and we placed a few gold pirate coins.
SL. Thanks for a great cache!

Found on a chilly day with my non geochachers that I managed to persuade to take it up. SL TFTC
We couldn,t find this on our first visit, very frustrating but we came back the next day and eventually found the well hidden cache, lost my phone in the process tho :-/..
I think we made this multi harder than need be, after re reading the cache notes a few more times it all made complete sense and without to many more ups and downs of the steps we had the cache in hand..had to quickly SL as there were plenty of surfer using the steps to get out to the big swell .........really enjoyed doing this cache cheers
Sorry for the late log. Found on a trip out caching with Phetlern. We have found a lot of moltes around the area. TFTC.
14:00
We were looking forward to a spring days caching with Brian of Doheng and we were not disappointed. The wattles were magnificent and the scenery spectacular.
The first of a number of Multies in Torquay and on our to-do list for today. After working out the relevant steps etc fairly quickly, we then came unstuck. So after looking and looking it was only after we had decided to leave and P-P went to collect the umbrella, that the discovery was made. It’s one of those caches where if you are lucky, you go straight to it or like us, you end up mucking around. The outside of the cache was somewhat muddy when we found it. It was certainly not as difficult as we had made it.
For the bonus points - while we had been counting and cursing the afforementioned steps, a number of surfers were in limbo-observing the weather to keep abreast of the swell.

We had a hard time making it to first base but easily got to second. Then we hit a home run and found the cache. As it was getting dark, we could've really used our headlights.
Took nothing, left O'Hanlons Port Stout bottle cap.
TFTC... seeing the surfers trudge up and down as fun.

Took a few wrong turns - quite a walk to the real starting point.... felt like we'd walked into a booby trap. Swapped a Gold Coast keyring for a very cute little octopus.... TFTC ... glad I wasn't trying to cart a long-board down to the beach - and sorry but didn't manage to work the name into the logbook - was trying for a quick swap before the surfer coming in got to us!
This cache was the second on our Jan Juc evening tour and we really enjoyed the view. We did the numbers at VP1 and headed off to VP2. Just as we were going down for the count, Alsume suggested that we use some caching intuition and indeed there it was in front of us, found at 5:30pm. The stairs seemed to increase on the way back to the car. Thanks Mr Emu.

For a moment Mr Emu had me all confused, I was running back and forward trying to find a good vantage point but finally was on the right path and soon had the cache in hand

Just a quick note to activate our TB "Between the flags" at the closest cache to our home.
Tristan the Travel Turtle Tag (TTQWTC) has come for a flying visit back in time.
We initially had trouble starting off on this one.
We found the viewing platform with the seal carving, and then started to walk back up the hill...
Something didn't feel right, so back down we went.
After counting the steps, we arrived right on GZ! and cache was quickly in hand.
Thanks Mr Emu for this cache.

Didn't know which platforms you are meaning... Found only one on the track
Had only Mobile Phone View for this cache and it didn't show me the waypoints I needed.

We couldn't find it!!! looked 4 45mins to no avail. it may have eluded us this time, but we will be back!!
Juc_cacher jr and I hoped to make this our second cache, so we wandered up the hill from home to vist this one at lunchtime on a hot day, with crook surf, hoping these factors would keep the muggles away. They pretty much did, with a couple of sunbathers around the corner enough not to be able to see, being the only folks around at the time we arrived. We were able to get the numbers we needed without any problem and figure out how many steps to retrace, but muggles started tuurning up in droves, so after a quick wander around the rock pools we abandoned our quest and went home. One other group arrived who looked like they might be cachers too and they milled around at the bottom of the steps, not really venturing away, before eventually heading back to the carpark as the muggle-flood arrived. If that was you, Hi
Update: We went back at 9:20pm with our muggle-friends, when all the tourist-muggles were enjoying their post-dinner drinkies and it was eventually an easy find. TNLNSL.
Now when I walk past this spot on my semi-regular walks, I'll know something even more special than just knowing such a great spot is right on my front doorstep.
Thanks for the cache !

Found on a wet, windy and blustery afternoon with the Geonephews in tow. We waited in the car for a rain storm to pass then ran down the steps to complete this one in a hurry. After some quick maths, a find was made, the log entered and we ran back to the car before the next shower. No Muggles about on a day like this! TNLN, TFTC!
this one took us a little time to find but after checking our maths we found it nice cache
With some shopping being done at the outlets in Torquay, that was enough incentive for me to try and find this one. The 1st point was fine but the wild and woolly weather this arvo made the 2nd point a little scarier than it could have been . Nevertheless, there was a cache find at stake here so I did my duty and was soon on my way to GZ for a nice easy find at 14:20. What a great journey .
TNLNSL. Thanks Mr Emu.
TNLNSL. Thanks Mr Emu.
The Tide was low and calm, so not too much traffic today.
A slight misreading of the clues had us searching 10 steps in the wrong direction,
Once that was sorted out, it was a fairly easy find!
Then there was time to take in the view!
Beautiful place, Thanks for the mammories!

Went looking for this one on our trip to Torquay. We went down to the second viewpoint before the first one, so lots of step climbing. We spent a few minutes looking for it while the coast was clear and just could not find it. Later, the spot became too busy to look, so we had to leave this as unfound.
What a great location! Not sure if the steps would be used often, as they appear to go nowhere, other than a rocky bottom of a cliff! We did our counting, and searched for a few minutes before locating the well-hidden cache. Good stuff! TNLNSL. Many thanks for showing us this place, Mr Emu.
gah those steps!! don't try running up and down them 3 times lol

Mr Emu & Demon Boy made the most of the warm evening and some remaining light to pay this cache a visit. Glad to report that the cache is still in place, although the information board that names the other nearby surf-break (for bonus points) has been "souvenired" by some @#$! What a shame.
There was an extremely low tide tonight that permitted quite a long walk along the normally-inaccessible beach below the cliffs. Fantastic if you can time your visit for such rare conditions!

Sorry, could not find this at all, and I am pretty certain I got the clues right...as once you go through the problem, it is relatively simple.
Could be my inability to keep myself focused on the task at hand with the beautiful day!

Found with geo family. Nice easy cache, although the walk back to the car proved to be a bit more effort than one had hoped after a day on the feet. Took highlighter left temp tattoo.

RedPaw64 found this cache at 15.30. Lots of stairs and really lots of levels confused me a little as I had limited details about the cache, so had what to count at each level but not each levels coordinates(must get another printer).. so a quick call to VKC1SR told me I was on the right levels. A quick find after that.

An interesting set of steps and boarding but the eroded ground underneath is a major concern! No wonder they did the works. Found both sets of clues ok and then the cache after a short search at GZ.
Thanks Mr Emu for a well put-together multi in an interesting spot. The tide was well in today too which made wp2 even more interesting.

At first i as a bit worried and surprised as the coordinates led us to the middle of the car park, but then we walked down and had a look and promptly found the first viewpoint, a bit of counting was done and then we were wondering where the next viewpoint was, when i spotted the coordinates for them on the next page. after a bit of mum telling me how silly i was i entered them in and went down to the next viewpoint. we counted the stairs and got to the location. I was searching for a while and was still searching when a family came down to have a look at the view. Unfortunatley at that same time i had just found the cache so we had to stand there (me with the cache behind my back) until they had passed. We walked up a fair way so we could log and swap in peace. After all that done we had to wait a very long time with the cache in my pocket until the family had well and truly left (the father had smelt a rat). then we returned it to its position safe and sound. A very impressive cache, especially with all the waves at the bottom.

It was a warm day for a walk but the sea breeze made it pleasant enough as I set off from the car park. It was not long before I reached the first waypoint after making the wrong decision (those who have done it will understand). At the first location I relayed the answers via the 2 way radio to the top and at first I was unsure about the numbers so I took the notes literally and came up with the answer.
Off to waypoint No2 and the tide was coming in which made it a daring dash to get the answers, so in between waves I counted and ran.
With the answers done it was off to the final location and the cache was found in a spot that I nearly decided to check in the first place. With no one around I logged the find whilst enjoying the views and the fury of the ocean.
Many thanks to Mr Emu for a great cache in a location that I may have never visited nor walked if there was no cache here, Excellent!.

Found at 6.15pm GAFF1. After completing the nearby Koorie Walk cache with the possibility of seeing a few exposed melons, we came across and saw nothin’ except a magnificent view of the beach and cliffs. Never been here before, which surprised us as we love beaches and surf and have been past here on many occasions but never stopped.
We were a bit confused at first at the top of the car park, but soon realised that there were child WPT’s to follow. The cache was found after a bit of unnecessary investigations which hurt c-pprass’s chest somewhat. Thanks Mr Emu for finally bringing us here.

I was down in the area to pick up some diving suppliers and oxygen for the weekend, so I thought I would do a bit of walking on the steps. I got to the first waypoint and there was a empty pram, and no-one around, very weird. I did the count and continued down to the second waypoint where I met the family on the beach. While they were busy orginizing the kids, I did the second count and dashed back out of their sight for an easy find.
I passed a couple of surfers dragging their boards back up the steps and thought it must have been a lot harder before the steps were put into place.
Great views on a nice section of coast.
Thanks, Robmc.

I really enjoyed this cache. I was a bit worried about how steep things might get after all the walking lately, but it wasn't a problem. I loved the sign, I couldn't resist snapping a photo to send to some mates. Juvenile I know. The cache took some searching, simple but effective! The views were naturally fantastic also. This cache ticks a lot of boxes, nice work!

This was a wonderful spot to visit early this morning. Oenze was with me and as he had found it before it was interested in how long it would take me to find it. Not long as it turned out and then we admired the reef below which was deserted but for two dogs and their owner. Thanks Mr Emu.
Well this was a whole new experience for Bushfire as I have never been to this part of the Surf Coast before.Mr Emu did tell me that there were I think 240 steps to the 2nd viewing platform and now I believe him. Part way down I heard something just off the path, so Bushfire backed off very quickly only to see a spiney little critter that is on our 5 cent coin disappear into the scrub.OK back to the cache, counted the number of timbers on the lower deck some whole others joined very clever and then the treck to the lower deck ( Bushfire cannot go down steps very well )counted these and then did the maths, and then started the climb back up the steps to the required number. Here I saw a number of long hairy legs and some very dark eyes watching me trying to locate the well hidden cache, so on with the gloves to continue with the search. I am sure Mr Emu employees that huge spider to guard his cache.Well not to be outwitted by nature Bushfire continued and found the well hidden cache. I did not see any white pointers or brown pointers on this walk but the name of the break is unusual but I was hoping to see some in the flesh but alas nothing, but lots of steps to climb. NI-NO but left Civil War Geocoin to continue on its travels.Great cache well put together and worthy of a Mr Emu name. Keep up the good work.

Found on the way to Lorne after the Geelong event. Geojen and I worked it out, did the walk and had the cache found with little or no fuss. Geojen made the find and I wonder if she hadn't, if I may have had troble with this one. Had the pleasure of bumping into Maccamob and Geojo too, as we were leaving. Second time I've met Maccamob at a cache in a week.
Thanks indeed. Great cache.
Thanks indeed. Great cache.
Came with maccamob today after receiving confirmation that the cache is still in position. Much to their embarrassment it was discovered within seconds of arriving at GZ! Sometimes - even after 5000 finds - you can still have a bad day!! Great location for a cache - thanks for bringing us here.
Found by Mary & David with GeoJo at about 1645 after The Geelong End of Year Caching Event. After our DNF here last week, we were determined to correct the situation. Today, David found it immediately on arrival, and berated himself for overlooking it previously. In hindsight an obvious spot. TNLN. Our thanks to Mr Emu, and great to meet you at the Event.
Find # 1998 and 1st of the day at 12:10pm before the Geelong end of year caching event, upon aprouch to the posted coord. I saw this smoke like mist hovering over the coast I had never seen before, quite bizaar, I realy enjoyed this cache and a clever hide, TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Mr Emu....
We had some pretty severe weather here last weekend, and I suspect there is a chance that the cache has been the victim of a "natural phenomenon" . I will therefore disable the cache until I have had a chance to check on it.
No luck for us here today. We had the area to ourselves, so took our time gathering the data and admiring the views. We double-checked our calculated GZ, but couldn't find the cache there. We carefully searched all the places we could identify that were consistent with the 'no acrobatics' description. There were a few other potential spots, but they had either been scoured by the heavy runoff from the recent rain, or were covered in a thick layer of mud. We were going to check our numbers yet again when a group of people arrived to repair some damage near the upper platform. Looks like we may have to return another day and try again.
An inspection this morning revealed that the recent torrential rain did not cause any problems for this cache. Everything is dry, and the cache is sitting nicely in it's original location.
Found today at 1500.
After a nice stroll and lots of step counting.. we soon had the cache in hand.
The surf was quite noisy.. with no White Pointers to be seen.

Found on a day with no surf and a very low tide, so we followed this with a walk along the beach to Bells. We were actually just about to head here for a low tide walk when the cache came up, so it was perfect timing. This cache and it's neighbour, Rocky Danger, make a nice pair of multi's along this great section of coastline. Thanks, Mr. Emu for another local cache.
