13/06/2011 by Biggles Bear did a "Needs Maintenance" log on 13 Jun 11.
The cache seems to be in order and my guess is that it is in the correct spot, so the cache owner needs to remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute.

Ahh, but has the second, "replacement" cache been removed, or are there still 2 containers at GZ?

WanderingAus wandered by on day 27 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, after dropping the WanderingMrs (aka SWMBO) at Nightsbridge Sports Club for a couple of hours of line dancing, and made a very quick and easy GAFF 0 find of the cache. Very interesting hide, haven't seen one like this before, but I will be trying to buy some to place around Perth when I get home.
The hiding spot and the cache were smothered in little ants, very annoying to get them off to open the cache and sign the log, then had to get more off in replacing it.
My find No 3638, TNLNSL.

Found 17:20, the cache was found on the ground in plain sight. We signed the log and replaced it as best we could guess it should have been hidden.
TNLN, CSI=3, thanks gibbo003.

See comments in our found it log, perhaps the owner can check and confirm we returned the cache to it's correct location.
Marco is in Darwin for work, so I flew up for the long weekend so we could find some Darwin caches. We parked nearby and had a walk out on the jetty to look at the views before walking down towards the cache. The co-ords were spot on and we found the cache easily. TNLNSL TFTC
It seems, after having had a chat to the owner, that I have ideed found the original cache. It is now up and running again with a new log book inside.

Find number 6 for the day, and find number 231 on the twentyfirst day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1145hrs Qld time.
I dont know what the issue is here, found the cache in about 30 seconds, both of them. Yes, 2 caches exist at this location. A small blue container first, which I assume is the original- no log book in it just a heap of mush- attached to a rusty chrome split ring and tinny ring pull, and a nice new clear container with Geocaching log scroll in it. I signed both log books to prove my claims, but of course, had to clean out the blue container first, then make up a new log scroll.
Both were very easy finds.
Cheers

I couldnt find this today it was really hard must be a very good spot ill try looking tomorrow!! [xx(]
Hey gibbo - 2 of us spent ages looking. Any chance of a hint?? Thanks 0402 456 946
Second go at this one. A bit more Geo knowledge found it. hardest part of this one was figuring out how to open it! TFTC.
11.40am (with Anderka)
Daily tally #12/32
More geo-god smiles for us... the GZ was muggle free, so we took a seat, had a sip and started our search. Anderka came up trumps - these tricky little nano's seem to be her forte!

Difficulty = 4, agreed.
Too many long-staying muggles at GZ for us to even attempt this cache hunt today.
Enjoyed reading the nearby sign of the plane crash, as we visited the museum yesterday.
Thanks for taking us here.

I thought I might find this a little difficult as I could not find previous nano cache. But located in about ten seconds after arriving at GZ. Restored my confidence!! TFTC.
Spotted very quickly after fending off the ants. Replaced the wet log for a new one. Thx Gibbo003 for the hide.
Found this cache today while moving around Darwin.
Thanks for the cache and showing this place.

After reading other logs I was expecting a really dificult "find"... but it turned out that thelandlockedsailor-ess spotted it very quickl - which was just as well, as I was in the wrong GZ by metres!
In fact the hardest part of the find was opening the cache container...water had got in and the lid jammed up. Gibo003, the log is (a) full, and (b) quite damp.
There were lots of muggles but we managed to find a quiet interval between walkers and beach-goers.

A pretty hot afternoon and no muggles. Took about 15 minutes as gizmo wouldn't zero in, but finally found. My 2nd last cache for 2009. TFTC
nice easy find,
two teenage muggles going for it at GZ meant I had to wait a couple.
Duly found and signed

Today I was cacheing with a co-worker and he found it (maybe a future cacher). Nice walk and a quick hunt. TFTC gibbo003
Tried this one yesterday, but there were too many muggles. Returned today and found easily, had a little trouble getting it out, ants seem to be nesting. TFTC
This was my cache number 250 so far.
Delighted it was a nice straightforward one.
Well Geodaughter Errykat was sitting at GZ pondering the world and spotted it from there.
All I had to do was fetch it and log it so it was pretty easy for me.

Found it with geodad. Sat on GZ after hunting through various possibilities and saw it instantly! Amazing what you do when you sit and think about it

If anyone has lost a set of keys, I left them on the table at GZ. I spotted them whilst searching. To my suprise this one didn't take that long, very happy with my self.
Went back today and not a muggle in sight. Found likely hide spot and looked and looked and looked. Nothing! Feeling dejected by now I put my head down and wouldn't you know it, there it was! The cache was laying on the grass in the open, picked it up and logged my find. Made a quick call and confirmed hiding spot and replaced cache as it should have been.

Our hunt was rudely cut short by a muggle who had decided to plant himself right at the GZ . Oh well another time, it will have to be.
Heading back to town for the Mindil sunset markets we decided to stop and find this one. Mrs Shifter walked straight up a grabbed it. TFTC
One can't really call this a busy park, but it seems there's always someone there. Today was no exception, a dog walker, a young mom with stroller, joggers. Luckily the ground zero table wasn't occupied so I plonked down my backpack and sorta "staked my ground". Sat and read over the cache page, then did the touristy-photographer thing, slowly walking about, just peering over the top of my camera. Saw it, or rather saw something that merited investigation, put my sun glasses on, and watched and waited for my chance to grab it. As mentioned by others, the cache comes with a generous coating of ants. The cache is still in good condition, with just a little rust on the metal parts. I was the third to sign the new log sheet.
I went on to walk the path around Nightcliff. Beautiful area, thanks for bringing me down here.

Ohhhhh I looked and looked and poked and scratched, but nothing for me today. Never to worry I will be back with the gang in tow.
Thwarted by a darned muggle. She came and sat down on a rug a few trees away and settled down. Search abandoned. Would have been easier if we knew where to look
We're enjoying the good caching weather none the less.
Cheers

Nice hide. I like it a lot, very clever.
Ants like it too, sticky little blighters.

Good one gibbo! I run past this one every other day, would never know it was there. Had to leave it twice because there were people camped right next to it. Cache in good nick.
Nice hide! Did find it quicker than expected, but not how I expected. In fact the cache is in a poorly way. The log sheet is v.bad, and GZ has been overtaken by ants! I think they build their nest on the cache! Thanks gibbo003 for another fine cache.
On our holidays, partly travelling in a Britz campervan through the upper half of the Northern Territory, we tried to log as many of the caches on the way. With the use of a PDA with iGo and the caches loaded as POIs, driving to the cache locations has become quite easy. In total, we visited 61 cache sites and of all these sites, we found 41 caches. Certainly not a perfect score, but we usually enjoyed the location the owner of the cache has chosen. Geocaching brought us to the usual popular tourist locations, but also on some places that we would have otherwise never stopped or driven through.
This log-entry is the 48th cache on our tour.
Just driving around Darwin a bit and notice this cache nearby. It’s in a park and people are having a “Barby†(or maybe it’s written differently) close to the GZ. But they are packing up so after hanging around for a while, we get a chance to actually search for it. Didn’t help me much though. I can’t find it and can’t search too long or muggles will get too suspicious. More luck next time.

Was looking at the GPS while arriving at GZ. I literally looked up with the cache staring me in the face. TFTC - The quickest find ever at < 1 second.
I can't believe we arrived at GZ only minutes before a couple of car loads of muggles who could have delayed us for hours. What a great little hide and a beautifull park by the water for a hot Sunday afternoon. Thanks gibbo.
This was a great cache, not just the find but being present when NTSTROM found this 'conspiracy'. Amusing to say the least. Found the the presence of NTSTROM (without choice)

Well done Beagles on the FTF - was rather happy to see your log and not you know who. Turned out I was not far behind you. Logged on at lunch to log this mornings find and the rest is history (and still no lunch). Had to wait for about 30 mins for muggles to leave (was determined to get in before NTSTROM) - even made a reason why I was hanging around when I spoke to them and a fake phone call, but just couldn't get to the cache until they left... Excellent hide Gibbo and TFTC. Good team work Beagle.
Talk about conspiracies! This one tops the lot!
Well I suppose in the long run I had the last laugh because I did this one late tonight and had an easy find with no muggles to contend with, in and out, simple.
Well I suppose I am quite flattered to have this cache find named in my honour and after all it is my 100th find in the NT this year. So thanks to Gibbo for the great cache even though he knew that I would be at work when it was published, now thats a conspiracy!!!!
Found this one in the company of NoFishNT.
