Out with Pat for a day of caching. With a lot of help and encouragement from Pat I could finally sign the log on this one. Thank you to Pat from team Lyn, Pat and Nathan for the help and also WanderAus for the placement and maintenance of this cache.

Our and about in Roleystone to check out Honey's Bakery and thought we'd find somewhere to take GeoPup for a walk and found this spot. Great wee multi-cache - we will have to come.back in Winter to see how different this spot is. GeoKids and GeoPup had fun walking around trying to find each waypoint. The upgrades will bring alot more muggle traffic to such a great spot. Thanks for the cache!

After many years of tries and fails I finally found the cache. It should have been easy but it hasn't been. Sometimes the waypoints were missing, sonetimes illegible and finally when I did get it sorted the final cache was missing. A lot of waiting for repairs and replacements to the multi.I needed to search a bit to find it but it's a dry time of the year so cache was easy enough to locate at about 8m away as indicated by my GPS. I love multi caches but I do think they need to be simple or else they get left behind and forgotten. As always with the CO the cache container was great and it was well kitted out.I can see the frustration that is evident from pencils getting taken and general shrinkage of contents. Tagging the pencil with "Do not steal" is a good idea. Sadly they need to be reminded of the obvious. It can get disheartening for the CO. We feel your angst.Cudos for your persistence in keeping this active.

On the bustling Boxing Day, while duty bound by the cricket match, I managed to sneak in a geocaching spree during the afternoon before work. Discovering hidden caches across familiar and new locations injected a thrilling edge to the day, adding an adventurous spirit to an otherwise scheduled cricket-focused day. Each find was a fleeting victory, infusing the routine with the excitement of exploration, proving that even within the confines of responsibilities, moments of geocaching joy could be seized.Despite the time constraints, the pre-work geocaching escapade on this Boxing Day showcased the delight found in these brief expeditions. Uncovering caches in those fleeting moments provided a glimpse of the adventure waiting just beyond the confines of routine responsibilities, promising many more such exhilarating experiences balancing work and the thrill of geocaching in the future.Took the time to complete the multi. Took a little time to locate the final, but eventually had the blank logbook in hand. Thanks WanderingAus for placing and maintaining this hide for me to find today. This log was written with ChatGPT.

15-Dec-23
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, and confirmed the cache was missing. There was evidence of the recent rehabilitation work in the area, including a Masters Choc Milk bottle just 2 metres from GZ.I replaced the cache with a drab camouflaged 500 Ml round screw-top container, with log book, finders cards, a pen, two pencils, a pencil sharpener, and a few swaps. Please be sure to securely tighten the lid and re-hide it well with the available material.

14-Dec-23
There were cars everywhere and they were doing rehabilitation week in the area. By the time I got there they had already done this area so I could search it easily. If I have the coordinates correct then I'm m sure I would have found it but today no luck.

10-Nov-23
Found it! Thanks for the lovely cool walk on an almost summers day! Kids had a blast

10-Sep-23
I found the lid with no container attached. Cache need maintenance

05-Jan-23
Thanks for the lovely stroll. Took blue dinosaur, left star wars ornament

07-Nov-22
Stopped to walk around in glorious sunshine. Was disappointed that the path dead ended and I had to turn back. Got there in the end. Thanks.

23-Aug-22
Thanks Keith for the maintenance. I will have a go from the waypoint I got to to the next time I'm out that way. Cheers

16-Aug-22
WanderingAus Wandered by, visited all the Waypoints and replaced them with galvanized steel strips with the Decimal Minutes stamped on one side and written on the other, except for Waypoint 5 where the Dymo tag was still readable.

12-Aug-22
As this has been foynd buy other teams we thought we would give it another try.
We got to waypoint 3 but after being bitten on the back of the neck by something at the location and possibly writing the wrong numbers down while getting bitten we were unable to find location 4. At the location we searched there is a huge and nest full of very angry ants that will leave you in pain of you do get too close to them.
Like our previous attempts before when we could not read the numbers we have found the same problems. They need to be stamped on metal plates rather than a marker pen that fades or is unreadable.

03-Jul-22
We came down from Geraldton after visiting friends up there and with the school holidays on in so many states and with so many people around we decided to concentrate mainly on Lab caches, virtual's and earth caches as the muggle factor doesn't come into it and of course grabbing anything else that is possible.

As we needed a multi today for a personal challenge and this one started close by and was a nice oldie we decided to give it ago. It was a beautiful winter's morning for an enjoyable stroll and the scenery and birds made it that much better.
We went from wpt to wpt with not a lot of trouble and then all of a sudden we were at gz in what seemed like a quick time. A quick search here and the cache was soon uncovered and the log book now contains our name.

Many thanks WanderingAus for a lovely morning walk and cache.

27-May-22
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, found the cache in good condition. Added Finder's Cards, pen, pencil sharpener and a couple of swaps.

16-May-22
Found plaques a bit difficult to read and at WP 4 couldn’t find any signify plaque on a skinny tree or metal object. Time for morning tea.

25-Apr-21
Found wp1 easily. On to the next

25-Apr-21
Found all way points and then GZ/cache. Our first multi-cache and quite satisfying. Cache is well camouflaged at the base of a tree under some leaf litter.

07-Mar-21
Got a helping hand with WP1 numbers in order to find this one. Found whilst out on a caching morning with I C Nothing and Meme28. TFTC!

07-Mar-21
Got some help with wp1 at a local CITO then it was lovely walk around the lake. Gz found easily and cache in good condition

07-Mar-21
Found during today's CITO. Tftc Smile

07-Mar-21
Found while at todays event. Tftc

07-Mar-21
After receiving some help with WP1 we continued and after a short walk to GZ we were signing the log.

TFTC WanderingAus this is find #11337 for us.

07-Mar-21
Attending a nearby event I joined up with others to finally do this multi. Cache was found after a bit of searching TFTC

07-Mar-21
Had a look at this one on the way to the CITO and asked for some nudging from more experienced caches at the event to get pointed in the right direction.

Met TeamBarritts and BJA3 at GZ and container was picked up quickly.

Thanks WanderingAus for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2756 for me.

07-Mar-21
Out with BJA3 after attending the nearby CITO.

After receiving some help with WP1 we made our way to the final and met up with Cirrus_WA and SirFancy at the GZ. After some keen spying by Cirrus_WA we soon had the container in hand & log signed!

TFTC WanderingAus!

07-Mar-21
Thank you for the Cache

07-Mar-21
Like everyone else today, a kind PAF nudge helped find the cache after the CITO.

29-Jul-20
The numbers at the first waypoint are weathered away so I was not able to get them. I took a stab at the second location but nothing looked like the clue. The coordinates portable need to be embossed out engraved to remain usable over time.

30-Aug-19
Sunshine amongst some rainy days, so took Mum and Dad for an afternoon stroll. TFTC!

06-Aug-19
Awesome thanks. Eventually in the right track and a quick detour to Perth. Thanks

02-Aug-19
No luck today. Thanks anyway

27-Nov-18
Finally catching up on some logging from caches I found with B12 some time ago.

03-Nov-18
Bit disappointed to have to log a DNF here. Despite a nice walk around the lake and finding all the coordinates required, hubby and I spent a good half an hour looking for the cache, we even went and double checked the coords. Will try again next time we are in the area.

30-Sep-18
Sunday arvo picking up this cache after spending too long grabbing the waypoints.

Grabbed the cache and got out VERY quickly.

17-Jul-18
At last a win. Shifted car and ended up right at gz.. Epic but totally enjoyable cache. Glad it is winter with heaps of water in lake. Tftc. Terrific stuff.

19-May-18
We are on a mission to extend the sea of smilies on our map. So the Multis just have to be tackled. We enjoyed our walk around the 'lake'. Not a drop of water to be seen! The council are doing a good job regenerating the area, so we helped out with a little bit of CITO. TFTC Wanderingaus

15-Apr-18
Didn't know this lake was here and whilst there was no water in it today I bet it's amazing in winter! We found all the WP's without any problems and enjoyed the walk between them! It was a quick find at GZ!

Thanks for the cache WanderingAus!

15-Apr-18
Nice walk around the Park. Found well hidden cache. TFTH

28-Jan-18
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, removed all Dymo strips stapled to trees (the ones I found), moved the Start point and the next two Waypoints to take advantage of man-made objects, replaced all Waypoint tags, and added a few swaps to the cache.

28-Jan-18
Coordinates changed from:
S 32° 4.940 E 116° 0.047

Coordinates changed to:
S 32° 4.930 E 116° 0.053

Distance from original: 68.0 feet or 20.7 meters.

Start point moved to a nearby man-made object.

*Out and about letting my GPS be my guide*...

A bit of a stroll, a short search, found cache, stamped and returned. Cool

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment WanderingAus. Appreciate your efforts. Smile

Started this one but despite the attribute there are a heap of signs (Probably placed after the cache) saying no dogs allowed in the reserve. Collected the information for WP2 though- I think. Found the southings with out problems then found the southings again. Finally found a broken old eastings tag so hoping its the same cords will see, this one will have to wait for a day I am dogless.

14-Jul-16
An interesting and challenging multi. Found new dymo tags at WP1 but they only had the southings on them. Luckily upon further investigation, turned up an old dymo down low on the back of the tree with full coords.

Arriving at WP2 saw some odd things about the trees at this location. They were pretty much all dead, they all had multiple holes bored in them and most had their bark stripped off. The dymo tags here seemed to have gone the way of the bark, but fortunately I spotted the metal tag on a big strip of bark near the waters edge (see photo in case it goes missing).

From this point on though, the multi proceeded without drama.

TFTC WanderingAus.

09-Apr-16
We had a lovely walk around finding waypoints we had no trouble until the last one. The sign had been replaced and the coordinates went with the sign, a message to the CO and they were soon replaced. We went back and found the final. There was no water in the lake while we were caching but I have made a note to go back the middle of winter and have a look at the bird life. Great hide a favourite point from us.

04-Jan-16
Spent over an hour examining every tree within 20m of where my very reliable GPSr showed WP1 should be hidden and couldn't locate any tag. There is nothing wrong with my eyesight so if you feel the need to write a rude reply, please focus it solely on my inability to cache rather than my sight. And. there is no need to preface your online reply with, "On 4/1/16, .K.B. wrote..." since there's nothing wrong with anyone else's eyesight either so anyone who cares can see what I wrote in this log without you needing to repeat it. Ironically, even allowing for growth, I couldn't find any trees remotely similar to the photos you posted in reply to FelixII's DNF a few years back either.

04-Jan-16
The trees at the Start Point have expanded, and the tags have been removed, either by natural failure over time, or deliberate action by muggles.

I have placed a new tag on each of the two clean looking gum trees which can be seen in the log of 18 Mar 2012. My not very accurate Samsung Galaxy S3 phone running the Geocaching App told me I was a metre from the Waypoint when standing at the tree on the right, so I haven't changed the coordinates.

I left a bit of slack in each of the tags to allow for further expansion of the trees.

The light was pretty poor when I visited after watching A Current Affair, so I returned in better light and re-checked for the old tags. I couldn't even detect the holes made by the staples, but the THREE trees visible in the photo from March 2012 are still clearly recognisable.

09-Feb-15
I was out and about on an early morning caching run and this one was on the list.

A nicely put together multi here that was an enjoyable walk Big Grin. I got a few nice photos around the lake as well Smile

I'm looking forward to meeting other geocachers at WA GOES BIG IN 2015, in Busselton.

Registrations are now open - log your 'Will Attend' at GC5GR5X

WanderingAus - jinta29 found your cache WanAus 09 - Lady of The Lake Mk 2 on 9/02/2015 6:14 am. This is my find #2825 and find #2 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

08-Jan-15
We looked for WP1 a couple of days ago but had to abandon our search due to an inquisitive muggle. She drove into the car park and watched us with interest and asked what we were looking for. Seemingly satisfied when we told her that we were looking for the dog's ball she returned to her car but she did not leave so we had to. Today we arrived nice and early and had the car park to our selves and the multi was completed without further issue. The cache was found quickly, all in good order. Thanks WanAus, we only have one more of your Perth suburban caches to find.Big Grin

27-Nov-14
Finding a few caches in the area today, I had just found a cache not far from WP1 so I thought I should check this one out too whilst close by Smile WP 1 took sometime & then after an enjoyable walk, I found the remaining ones with little trouble... At the final WP there were some council muggles working in close proximity to GZ, so I chose to return on my way home!

Thankfully on my return the area was deserted & a quick find was made Big Grin TFTC and for showing me around this lake WanderingAus! The cache was in good condition [^]

15-Sep-14
Today i thought, screw it, lets go do a multi. I grabbed my geobike and headed on the train to Seaforth. After a short 10 minute ride i rocked up. After about 4 minutes searching i had some doubt but my fears were not completed are just finding the first waypoint. From there on i found all the others with ease. I loved this cache so much as it was such a cool type of lake the dymo tags added more coolness. The cache hadent been found for 3 months straight so great to find it. Very easy cache but yet again a very fun and excited caching experience. This cache was awesome as the experience was awesome, its not like the traditional cache were you just go out, this one had a awesome feel. For this the cache is getting a favourite point. Completed with ease but fun! TFTC Wandering Aus!!! SL TNLN

15-Jun-14
A fun afternoon. Took a bit of effort to find the first one: had to widen our search quite a bit but it was easy enough. The rest were quick finds. Some of the original Dymo tags will fall off soon so some maintenance may be required. We haven't done a multi for a while so thanks to wanaus. Tftc

03-Jun-14
I noticed there had been some recent maintenance on this cache so I decided to come back and give it a crack. I recalculated my recalculations to get to the original GZ and found the cache with ease. Thank you WanderingAus

SLTFTC

30-May-14
The bushes at the last location are very prickly and have grown so much since the cache was moved there that it is impossible to get to the cache, even if it is still there. I chose to relocate back to the original place. New container, log, finders cards etc, all good to go.

17-May-14
I estimate that I spent 3hrs DNFing your caches today. I know you have a theory about Specsavers; I have my own theory. Hopefully someone else other than you manages to locate the coordinates you seem to enjoy stapling to trees.

21-Apr-14
Thought I would tackle this one this morning to keep the streak going. Brought the geodog along for company thinking it would be a nice stroll around the lake.

Got to the first way-point and hunted around for about twenty minutes, couldn't find any co-ords anywhere. The dog was not impressed, she was no Robinson Crusoe either.

Decided to circle the lake (which by the way was not looking very much like a lake), and see if I could spot any geotrails leading to one of the other way-points. After a couple of fruitless efforts diverting into the bush I spotted from about thirty meters away what looked like a tag on a wooden object . On closer inspection I discovered it was the co-ords for GZ. Beauty!

Did the calculations which resulted in the 'unusual' result and headed for my prize. Once I approached GZ a neighbours dog started going off its brain which brought out the mutts owner who was watching me intently so I wasn't comfortable enough to complete a thorough search of the area.

After a couple of whispered obscenities, which only me and the geodog could hear, I left to come back another day.

The streak ends on 116 days. Smile

TFTH

23-Oct-13
Spent the day caching around the southern suburbs of Perth.
We visited a variety of parks, and cache hides.
Decided to tackle something different to finish off our day.
Very challenging and lots of fun.
Thanks for the cache, WanderingAus.

16-May-13
Couldn't find the tag at the first waypoint. My son got bitten by a bull ant so the search was abandoned for today. Only in Perth a few days, so may not get a second look.

11-May-13
Sad

09-Mar-13
All of the WP markers were intact, but I was disappointed when I noticed the area behind the toilet block (near the start) had been burnt out. This area must be a nightmare for local residents - having to put up with arsonists [:(!]
Found the cache at the GZ coords, but there was a barking dog right near, which brought out the owner. I just spotted him before he came to the fence to quiz me about what I was up to. I just fobbed him off with a story that I thought I saw my missing parakeet in the bushes. Twisted
Thanks for the cache WanderingAus. Nice day for a bike ride.

23-Oct-12
WanderingAus wandered by on a quick maintenance run after deploying a few munzees around the lake. I replaced the container with a 19cm x 12cm x 5cm drab camo'd cliplock container, dried the contents, and grabbed Diesel Speedster TB (TB4J56W) and Whints Wonderbug TB (TB4JJ6Y), which had been sitting in the water for far too long.

The logbook had survived intact, but the finders cards were soaked so I might replace them some time soon.

All good to go, enjoy.

13-Aug-12
Could the next geocacher, to visit, Please pick up my TB Diesel Speedster and move along to a new cache. Thanks.

17-Jul-12
Our 2nd find! Thanks for an enjoyable arvo.

Box badly affected by water though. Log book ok but everything else not doing so well.

21-Apr-12
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, dropped in a replacement cache container in an unburnt area, with a new log, finders cards, swaps, pencils and a sharpener.

Cache is good to go, but you will have to make corrections to the coordinates for GZ found at Waypoint 5. Add 016 to the decimal southing, and subtract 035 from the decimal easting. Your numerical results might have you thinking you've "made a booboo", but that unusual result is the correct result.

WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance trip, after seeing the log by bb1405.

The cache has definitely been fried, will get a new one ready and place it in the next week or so.

15-Apr-12
Had a great time going to all the points but the last point has been affected by the recent fire.

07-Mar-12
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance trip, after seeing the log by FelixII on 06 Mar 12 which read "... I couldn't find the tags at the first waypoint".

I only had the cache waypoints loaded into TomTom - the real gpsr has "corrected coords" for GZ, so I set out for the hunt from the carpark. When TomTom said 15 metres to go I spotted the black tape on the tree trunk 15 metres away, so I took a photo from there, then closed in a little and took a photo of the tape from closer.

I've included a composite photo of what I saw at 15 metres (just a narrow strip of my view, but it should be quite easy to recognize), and boxed and rotated the black dymo strip showing the coords, with the coords blocked out.

Hmmm - shoulda gone to specsavers.

07-Mar-12
After bypassing another cache nearby as I have already looked for it twice I headed to this one with confidence.

Wrong, aside from the muggles in the carpark I couldn't find the tags at the first waypoint.

I hope this isn't the pattern for the day. Have a full list of WanAus caches today.

Till next time.

02-Oct-11
Hhhmmmm, no luck finding this one, looked for at least 20mins. Will try again though!

14-Aug-11
nice walk around the reserve.
took nothing left travel bugs.
wiggynome and husband.

17-Jun-11
We parked in the slot and started searching and walking. Slowly worked our way to GZ and a find. Didn't see any swords coming out of the ooze!
Thanks, Robmc.

17-Jun-11
Rob and I enjoyed completing this multi at the lake this afternoon.
Parking at WP1 was the go and the waypoints and the hide were well thought
out.
Thaks for this one Wandering Aus

16-Jun-11
Tracking down WanderingAus multi in my local area. WanAus 09 - Lady of The Lake Mk 2, had a go the other day and didn’t even get started. After completing WanAus 19 I had more idea of what to look for.

Thanks WanderingAus.

12-Jun-11
I had an hour free so decided a work in the park was in order. How wrong I was, didn’t even get started, could not find WP1. Searched the trees but no dymo tags found (in whatever form they maybe). After wasting all my time at WP1 and now with darkness setting in I rather despondently drove home.

24-May-11
WanderingAus wandered by in response to the request by team-viking and grabbed their TB Phonebox. Cache is still in good condition.

23-May-11
Please, could the next geocacher, who visits the cache, take our TB Phonebox and bring it to a new place.

(Chwiliwr team catch up log)

We had looked for the first waypoint some time ago but didn't find it as it may not have been there at that time. Still had trouble finding it today but had no problems with the rest of them. Found the cache without trouble. Even walked across the lake looking at what was out there whilst it was dry.

Thanks for the cache.

Judging by the tracks on the lake bed it seems that a few of the locals have had fun in their vehicles also.

Thanks for the cache.

Found it on my 4th attempt thanks to my new Garmin GPS!

07-Feb-11
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, and dropped in a supply of finders cards. Dropped Phonebox TB (ref = TB27P3G), also dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC and my WanderingAus GeoMobile TB in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, replaced the tags at Waypoint 1 in a slightly moved location, added tags to all other waypoints, and found the cache itself to be in good condition, nice and dry.

Should now be ready to roll, sorry for any inconvenience.

05-Dec-10
Could not find the first waypoint so went for a wander to find the next waypoint. Came across a waypoint on a tree not knowing which one it was went to the next coordinates and again nothing there so I worked out it must have been WP4. I added the numbers required for WP5 and continued on to find the next waypoint and then the cache. About half an hour was spent trying to find WP1 having no luck , just have looked funny with Garde Le Roy, Jazl and two grandchildren wandering around the trees. I wonder where WP2 was ?

05-Dec-10
Thanks for the cache its a lovely walk around the park, shame its so dried out. Hope next year it fills up with water.

Thank you to Amstrad Kid for inviting me to come help find this cache. I am amazed we stumbled upon WP3, very lucky. WP1 no idea we spent ages looking. I must admit on the final leg looking for the cache I was so worried a snake would jump out.

06-Oct-10
tftc. the cassidy family helped once again and we were informed that we were in the location of way point 5 and not the cache we found it nice quick and easy. took coin

05-Oct-10
Went back today after thinking we had got it wrong! and we had - we were searching for the cache at WP5!! (silly us!)
Found the final coords and headed off to find the cache!! Easy Peasy!!

Took Keyring Left $2 coin (didn't have my trade items with me!!)

Our First time out geo caching and needed a bit of help fron The Cassidy Family, unfortunately we didnt find it as it got a bit too dark

02-Oct-10
Got a call for "Help" from The Geo Fairies for their first venture in to Geocaching.

Found waypoints but lost light while walking to GZ. Had a good look around with torches but couldn't find anything.
Will Regroup in daylight to see if we can find the cache!

03-Jun-10
Found what I beleive is the location of the cache but could not actually find it Sad Will try again another day.

04-Jan-10
It was a hot day to be doing this multi but we had planned our caches for our return to Bunbury so pushed on. Didn't like the final location, grass was thigh high and I was wearing shorts but was determined to get our first find of the day.
Didn't come across anything nasty - but even the geo-pooch wouldn't back me up!!
Took: TB
Left: Geocoin

30-Aug-09
We returned during the day, making the find much easier. The cache is hidden somewhere very "Mists of Avalon".

We took a small water pistol and left two tupperware toy key rings, and left Locked Up travel bug. We also took Urch's GeoTalk GeoCoin.

01-Aug-09
We were again defeated by a lack of daylight. We made it to the cache location but due to the fading light couldn't locate it. We kept going in the same direction after the last waypoint (on the streets around the protected area of the lake) and ended up doing a full circle of the lake. It is also a surprisingly quiet location, even on the Saturday afternoon we visited.

This is an amazing area considering the location. The lake is teeming with birds; Eurasian Coots (the black birds with while foreheads and beaks), Australian Shelducks, Pacific Black Ducks and Black Swans were on the lake, and Red Wattlebirds were feeding on the Flame Trees.

Found WP1 and WP2 ok, but it looks like WP3 has gone missing. Was at the coords for WP3 at the fence by a tree and it looked like remnants of some Dymo tape were on the tree. Couldn't see anything else but this and figured it had been ripped off by someone.
