The flax is no longer there ,it has all been removed and replaced with new small shrubs
With Lemmer in New Zealand at amazing caches. Thank you for showing all that beautiful places. flatrate
Looked where the hint directed but no success. The flax looks to have been trimmed back and tidied up a lot recently. A lovely beach to visit though.

Grabbed this before heading out on the walk along the peninsula. Took longer than I expected as I was searching from the wrong angle. Tftc

Staying nearby for a couple of days, this cache was too tempting, so decided to be not lazy but to get it
And there was a dog, so excited to meet us ...

After a lovely weekend fishing off the rocks nearby, stopped here on our way home. A few muggles around but the hint had us zeroed in on the cache in no time. Boys swapped some swag. TFTC!
Thus is our first geocache. Found it the other day but only just found out how to log it. Yay
Sat down on a convenient rock to check the GPS and what do you know, cache looking at me. Picked up TB.
Out with my kids today and my caching buddy GraciesGPSfun. Enjoying the round trip exploring this lovely area. My keen eyed buddy had this one in no time, TFTC
Dropped off this racing coin. Didn't have data on me so I didn't know the racing coins destination. Thought this was a lovely location. Hope you get back on the road again soon little racer
Saw this bay by boat with a relative and came here to walk the peninsula. Lovely! TFTC
Were here again at beautiful Mahinepua for our annual motorhome rally. Dont know why we have not picked these up before. Nice to see the tidyness of the bay. No old caravans and new toilets to use. The new pohutukawas will be great when they get bigger. Easy find in the flaxs.
Too many mugglers today. Left for a another day, and another reason to return.
A beautiful location, thanks for showing us Mahinepua Bay, cache was soon located with Yeetrees, TFTC.
Out for a day at Matauri Bay and couldn't resist a couple of nearby caches. Success this time after a DNF several months ago. Thanks for the cache!
1410 GAFF1 It would be a nice place to wind down and relax, but I was on a short mission of trying to get some caches up North, and back for an Event, and get back to Auckland all in the same day.
Soon found the cache, nice and dry. Took the geocoin to take to the MEGA (Dyer Mkrs Copper Triple Dragon, didn't see anything else there.
Think I left a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen there.
Brought through for mileage: 3 Bros, Aust Light Houses, BEAGLE BIXBY, B 2 B ingot, BROWN BEAR 15, Coin of Danmark, CRDAVIS-Scottish Thistle Geocoin, Fishing Bell TB, Iconic Bridges, land rover TB, Lil' Miss TB, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, PAP, Rienan TB, Spooky, steben6's DNF Duo - Super Cacher Geocoin, Trakabulldog geocoins, and trackable shirt.

#519 This is such a beautiful spot, a real hidden gem of Northland. Glad that this cache brought me out here again. No sign of the trackable in the cache though. TFTC!
Quick drive-by to check and replace with a new container. Still in same place, so "Good Luck".
Couldn't find it, and judging by previous notes, others haven't either so likely its been muggled. Lovely spot.
We couldn't find it although the spot should have been obvious. Others have said the same so likely its been muggled. Fabulous location! Worth the detour.
Uploaded this cache on my GPS ages ago and thought I'd drop by today while passing. Had a good look but could'nt find it. Got back and have just read Russell School's previous log. Make sense now.
Back walking the peninsula. Could not find. Area neat and tidy so should have been easy!
After getting back to motel I can't believe we didn't find this. hope it hasn't been muggled, but the flax and area was very tidy.
Beautiful bay thanks for bringing us here.

Made a dash for this cache as have been watching with interest. Beautiful spot and not a soul about today. Yes the beach all to myself. Nice quick find too. Great to see it up again.
Have been past and set a new container - approx 750ml plastic screw-top with camo paint. Weather was perfect today, so remind all to be careful of muggles in such a beaut spot.
Would appear that recent gardening may have 'lost' cache, so will attempt a replacement in a couple of weeks. Don't forget to try the others on this loop road.
GST day.......Great Scenic Tour. Never mind about the gst increase! Popped in on way to Kerikeri for groceries. Couldn't find it. Think somebody has been gardening and maybe thought it was rubbish. Grass has been sprayed in flax and flaxes trimmed. Will have another look when it stops raining.
hi nalawod - cache was nice and dry - campers had gone. nice hide
picked up TB "SIGN'n'SEND"

Intended to do some quick spring maintenance, but a couple had their tent (and big dog) set up right on GZ, so will have to drive by another day.
This bay brought back good memories of dive trips from the next little bay around.. probably 18 years ago. Not too much change but what exhibitionist has built the giant glass house on the beach front ?????

3.30pm. This beach is a favourite picnic spot for us but we don't get there often enough. A beautiful still day today when we came with The Pud to find the cache. Found quick enough and all in good order. Left a TB.

Visiting this beach brought back wonderful childhood memories of camping here in the holidays. Not much has changed over the two decades since I last visited this idyllic spot. Only a new holiday home in the paddock next to the road. Thank you for the nostalgic location. Dropped geocoin to encourage others to visit.
Caches hidden in flax bushes are not our favorites. Fortunately the hint is so precise that we got away with a minimum of scratches and still could enjoy this truly beautiful beach. TNLN. TFTC.
Spent Labour Weekend here at a motorhome rally with 101 vehicles in attendance. Did a spot of successful kayak fishing in between caching. One of my favourite Northland destinations. TFTC
Another nice beach here in NZ. Found the cache easily.
