05-Oct-10
It was a bit disappointing when bones1 and I got here today and found that the cache was out of commission. I had slipped up and hadn't updated my GSAK database and I thought this one was available.
I guess if it has been unavailable for this long it will probably be archived soon?
I'll be sorry to see yet another cache go...

Couldn't find this last time I looked so I can only assume it has been moved. Will try to replace shortly.

Couldn't find this one - even after trying to inconspicuously search under all the playground equipment!! Sad
Need to check it is still there!

14-May-10

Nice quick find for a quick cache run in the area.
Joint find with Skip2992 and Bigea17
A couple of diversion techniques and we managed to grab the cache from under the noses of the muggles.

Thanks

Yay.... finally there were no muggles around... tried last weekend, and it was just not possible... rode back this week, had a drive past, and a lovely ride in the sunshine this morning, to find the park nice and empty on the way back... and the new GPS was right on the money Smile
SL, TFTC...

19th for the day. Arrived at this well kept park and let M play until the muggles left. Easy find once they were gone. TFTC. KeMs

19-Dec-09
Sun shining on a Saturday afternoon and not a muggle in sight. Strange!!!
Nice hide, TFTC.

12-Dec-09
A quick cache, a little play in the park (well that was just an excuse anyways) a bite to eat (but then again we had to do something while we waited for the muggles to leave).

Difficult without kids, my daughter having decided to stay home for this one! The cache was in the first place I looked but I missed it the first time and it was also about the 12th place. Thanks.

23-Oct-09
After two attemps at this and a discussion with Squalid we found it! Lots of muggles but had the geodaughter with us and used the old 'daddy I've lost my earring' trick and had it in hand immediately. Little harder putting it back but did it and headed on our way.

06-Sep-09
A fathers's day caching trip with geojunior today and this was the sixth of eight. Managed to park the geomobile near GZ and walked over to the park. TJ played on the equipment while I made the search and I eventually had the cache in hand. TNLNSL. TFTC.

11-Aug-09
This one had me down low which is not an easy task when wearing a skirt. Managed to track down the cache eventually. TFTC

01-Jul-09
This would be a difficult cache for a lone male cacher. Fortunately we had the GeoKid with us today, so no one took any notice of us.

We got lucky and found the cache in the first place we looked.

No swaps - thanks for the cache.

22-May-09
In the first place I guessed it would be *but* the last place I looked. Very foggy morning so I had the area to myself. TFTC. My GPS did not know most the streets in this area. Had to point in the right direction to get out. I see some nice water features not far away that could do with a cache at them.

14-Apr-09
After searching tirelessly we thought we had been caught, but instead it turned out to be the owner of the cache and her pooch. There is no way that this cache will be muggled as it is extremely well hidden so keep looking until you find it!!! TFTC

01-Feb-09
This must be harlips territory as this was one of his too. I found it quite easily as the hot weather deterred mini muggles and their watchers today.
Signed log and returned at 1220 hrs.

Thanks for the cache, nice hide.

16-Jan-09
Got it in the second place I looked; an obvious choice really, I should have started there! This was a great little park for the kids and the views of the estate were quite nice. No muggles on such a warm evening so I was able to make a quick visit.

Thanks,

R - B

11-Jan-09
Another one we'd tried on a previous trip but were thwarted by muggles. Geojen found it this time.
Thanks again Harlips

07-Jan-09
This is in a fairly obvious place, but rather well hidden - I think we had to search the spot 4 or 5 times between us before it was spotted.

Just waiting for a call from the cops on this one... "What were you doing climbing over all of the play equipment, and rolling around on the ground? You should know better at your age." Anyway, found what e came for (eventually), signed log and quickly left. Nice hide, thanks for the cache.

25-Dec-08
Grrr the place had no muggles in it and we still couldnt find it .. we well try again .. But we think it could be muggled.

Second time I have looked for this local cache. The last time, my TomTom would only bring me to the road. This time, used the Garmin, lead me to the wrong piece of equipment but some quick thinking soon had the cache in my hand. Then had to wait while my son and some other kids played until I could slip it back.

Logbook is almost full (one page left from memory)

Found at 4.25pm
Looked for this one last week and made a real mess of it. Didn't help that it was nice weather and a heap of muggles turned up to play. Today we had the playground to ourselves although there was one muggle doing laps of the park and kept looking at us funny - I guess we wern't playing on the equipment properly. Finally found it after a bit of heads down/bum up. TFTC.

Geez I hate 'em in playgrounds! I'd had the word that there were a few of this type in the vicinity, so I'd waited until I had a day off work before heading to the area. Even so, it was such a gorgeous day (and the 1st bit of "playground" weather for months) that I was a bit fearful that I'd encounter the dreaded "Band of Mothers" at some time or other today (and I did!) - but this one, at least, was unoccupied by the time I'd parked my motorbike and headed to GZ. After an initial quick search of the wrong object, I was able to turn up the cache on the next one I checked, so I was able to get out of there pretty quickly Smile.

Thanks again Harlips

Found @ 1700 and last on a Lyndhurst Cache Hunt afternoon. An easy find when you have a 3 yo daughter in tow to act as the ideal decoy.

I remember this area as a turf farm for years and years. Won't be long and there will be no paddocks out this way.

We pulled up here and were very happy to see the area empty and these sort
of hides can be very awkward without children. Apart from a couple
builders in the area the only muggle was a lady walking her dog who turned
out to be the cache owner. After calling out from a distance "warmer" and
"colder" we eventually located the well hidden cache and after filling
out the log we spotted the owner coming back through the park where we had
a chat and laugh about all things caching until we parted ways to continue
our caching advenure.
Thanks harlips for the cache and conversation.

Found @ 16:25. I hate this type of cache especially when they are in the actual playground, You can just imagine what onlookers think about a fat grey haired old dude hanging around a playground, I'm just glad there was nobody about. TNLNSL Thanks For The Cache

Another with Sheriden along, and her 2nd find. Good find.TFTC!

18-May-08
Thought I was going to have 3 of your caches today but this one eluded me. I'm sure I was in the right area and I think I may have found the right structure but I don't like crawling around on my hands and knees looking and feeling low under things, especially when I don't have a decoy kid with me! I feel like EVERYone is watching.

Found @ 2010.

Found with ggkof on our regular Tuesday night caching. Nice hide, ggkof came up with the goods as I was looking elsewhere.

13-May-08
Found @ 20:10 with davroy. 6th of 9 tonight. Took a few minutes to find in its nice little hide. Davroy had looked in the area but missed it but after checking other locations I had a closer look and came up the the cache.
Thanks. TNLNSL

Despite this area being a lil busy today i found it without being seen.A nice hide this one.Signed the log. Second micro for the day.

The geokids loved this one. We had no trouble keeping them occupied while we searched for the cache. It was thoroughly hidden, but co-ordinates were spot on and it was soon to hand.

I thought I knew where it was going to be, but I couldn't find it. I tried a couple of nearby objects before returning to the first place and checking a little better. Ah, there it was. I missed first time around. Thanks for the cache. Luckily there were no kids in the park.

Where to look in the dark for a micro magnetic cache. My second try for this one, had tried back in November when the cache was first placed, a little more experience taught me to keep looking it has to be there. GPS had GZ in the middle of all these play things, only one thing to do try them all, searching for the cache that is Surprised found at 1:15 AM on a night out caching after very extensive search.Smile

Found today & yes, the play equipment was just too tempting...
Boy, was I dizzy! Try finding a micro on 35*C day while not being able walk a straight line & in a kids playground... Considering it now, lucky we weren't lynched!

Found at 4.05pm GAFF2. Here is another reason why the Monash is going to get busier in 2008 and beyond. More housing with people and cars being fed along the groaning arterial. Wouldn't it be an idea if there were satellite towns around that employed significant no's of people!
Even though there was no-one around, we felt conspicuous checking out play equipment for no apparent reason to possible passers by. Thankfully after a few checks along the way to GZ the cache was found in a good hiding spot. Well done on your first cache harlips - but please no more playgrounds.

15-Dec-07
Found by Mary & David at 1720. Another quick find. Luckily the place was deserted. Impressed by the kangaroo paws growing so well. TNLN. Our thanks again to harlips.

05-Dec-07
Got there nice and early which meant no muggles. The gps had me in the middle of three possibilities and the cache was soon found although not without the accumulation of lots of woodchips! Thanks to Harlips for the hunt.

03-Dec-07
Found @10:15am with Robmc.

The rain helped keep the muggles at bay, especially so close to kid's play equipment. Nice quick find. TFTC

03-Dec-07
TomTom didn't want to know about this suburb Smile, we were on our own in the pouring rain. Fortunately, the rain drove all the muggles away so the hunt was short.
Thanks, Robmc.

With a cache located just across the road from us I thought it time to go check it out. Easily found once i got my map datum right (it's been a while since I went hunting). thanks, Tony, Consuela and John.

Find # 2043 and 18th of the day at 3:45pm. Accompanied by Feathertop on another trip to the Mornington Peninsula for a day out caching. Easy find, as there wwere no little muggles to stop us having a good look. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Harlips....Big Grin

28-Nov-07
Oenze and I found this cache the last of our day in an area thankfully devoid of muggles. We had a clipboard and tried to look official while Oenze did the dirty work. Thanks harlips.

16-Nov-07
We found our 1st Harlips cache at 4:15pm as the 2nd of 5 on our "yet another driving lesson afternoon". Luckily no micro-muggles at GZ and it was straight in and straight out for us before the authorities were called for the suspect looking characters lurking around this type of area. It was our 81st '5th to find' though for the trivia buffs. Thanks for the cache from D & H B-A.

12-Nov-07
We found your cache this evening at 8:15pm – just as the mozzies were starting to swarm. Tonight, the three of us played 'where'd the tennis ball go?' - our usual plan of attack for finding caches hidden in places like this! Reading the Swaggies log now explains why I didn't find this one at 10am the other morning! I let the others in our team search tonight because I already knew GZ intimately. Junior enjoyed helping out by throwing that tennis ball really badly! Thanks harlips for the cache - nice hide. I remember when these paddocks had the best lawn in town!

23rd of 23 finds for the day and the last one for today. We had dropped L'Red at home earlier and on our way home we decided that this was a good time to try for this cache again. Yes again because we had spent the best part of an hour here on Thursday night looking for this cache with out success, only to be told by Mr Coffee that it had not been placed as yet. Oh well you win some, you lose some. Anyway we logged as the 3TF tonight at 2130 hrs and then headed home for a late tea.
Thanks for your first cache Harlips.

WOOHOO, Harlips the 1st is Landsergruppe's the 50th!
Couldn't resist a cache that close to home and in the direction I was heading this morning. Took me a little to find but worth it in the end, have to be happy with second to find.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the cache was not found earlier. But one was not to know that a new cache in the South East district is found within 15 minutes on average once published.
Around 11.00pm I received new information that required a decision to venture or not to venture out. After weighing up the possibility that I would end up with 5 hours sleep I decided to venture out and see if I could find the cache.
With no traffic and a hire vehicle the trip was fast and in no time Tom Tom said "you have reached your destination".
Armed with a torch and a few other night time devices I made my way to the cache GZ and after a few minutes of searching the cache found was found at 11.30pm. It was nice to see a blank log book and I was happy to log a FTF.
After I returned the cache to its hiding location I realised it was very dark and no one was around so I could not resist the opportunity to have a quick spin on the whirly play equipment and a quick slide (adult male thing) before heading home for a quick coffee and a sleep.
Many thanks to Harlips for your first cache, the coordinates were spot on.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the "Yes Officer I am just a male who like to hang around playgrounds at night and look for hidden plastic lunch boxes and play on the equipment, Oh! lock me up now" Clan.
