Logs
Enjoying our day off and caching around the area with axell33. We got to this one and made a search for this one. When found we added our names to the log. Last one for today. Thanks for the hide here WanderingAus.
Out grabbing some afternoon caches and had time for one more. We made the short walk to gz and after a short search we had the cache in hand. We made our mark on your log and returned your cache back to its place of residence. TFTC WanderingAus.
Short walk down to GZ and monkeywand got hands on the cache after a brief hunt, clocked myself with a low hanging branch as I started walking out but on to the next one. I embarked on another Tuesday geocaching escapade this week joined by monkeywand and we set our sights on the Huntingdale and Thornlie region. The evening unfolded with the excitement of uncovering traditional caches, engaging in multis, and finally collecting a couple of long-standing mysteries that had remained in the solved pile for quite some time. Despite moments of uncertainty that hinted at leaving empty-handed, the trusty one last look proved successful, adding to the satisfaction of concluding the night with an impressive tally of 15 successful finds and a perfect record of 0 DNFs. Thanks WanderingAus for placing WanAus 16 - Empire Way Reserve for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 19:15 on 9/1/2024.This is find number 7946 for me.
Out with Cirrus_WA for our first Tuesday night caching escapades for the year. Nice quick find
On the bustling Boxing Day, while duty bound by the cricket match, I managed to sneak in a geocaching spree during the afternoon before work. Discovering hidden caches across familiar and new locations injected a thrilling edge to the day, adding an adventurous spirit to an otherwise scheduled cricket-focused day. Each find was a fleeting victory, infusing the routine with the excitement of exploration, proving that even within the confines of responsibilities, moments of geocaching joy could be seized.Despite the time constraints, the pre-work geocaching escapade on this Boxing Day showcased the delight found in these brief expeditions. Uncovering caches in those fleeting moments provided a glimpse of the adventure waiting just beyond the confines of routine responsibilities, promising many more such exhilarating experiences balancing work and the thrill of geocaching in the future. This was a quick find today, after parking up on the nearby side street. Managed to correctly uncover the cache on the first go. An appropriate difficulty and terrain. Thanks WanderingAus for placing and maintaining this hide for me to find today. This log was written with ChatGPT.
Find 13 of 35 with three DNFs on a 40km mountain bike ride from Beckenham, through Thornlie and Maddington and out to Huntingdale, then back again. Perfect temperatures and lots of sunshine, good paths along the river to get away from the traffic and an excellent refuelling lunch stop at one of our new favourite places, The Roastery.Getting a bit hangry now, needing food - happily a quick find here.TFTC WanderingAus!
Out and about today and I decided to check the map to see what was nearby.
I find myself with time to kill so I stopped by here for a find.
Many thanks to WanderingAus for placing and maintaining WanAus 16 - Empire Way Reserve. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

Quick and easy find, but just next to GZ, stuck under the log, is a very big either snake skin or lizard skin, so be careful when poking around! See photo. TFTC.
Thank you! Our little ones were super excited for their 1st find!

Nice container and items. Very worth a find especially for our younger cachers. Thanks WanderingAus
We were look around during night time in the rain and found it between the logs when we were close to giving up, first one we’ve ever found, really fun !!
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, and confirmed the cache was missing. I replaced it in the same spot it had gone missing from.
###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have an Owner Check, and so it has been disabled to allow the CO to rectify the problem and prevent further inconvenience for our geocaching community.
The cache owner, WanderingAus, needs to :
* Investigate the situation and either restore the cache, or address any other issues, such as correcting the D/T rating if necessary.
* Re-enabling the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log if a Needs Maintenance attribute needs to be cleared.
Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary, or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this, that is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.
Alternatively:
* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.
In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by WanderingAus.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to be sure that the maintenance has been done, or that further information has been provided. If there has been no action to repair the cache or explain the situation, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance will not be unarchived.*
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is there, and in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

Hi there WanderingAus, I searched high, low, far and wide
But couldn’t find this hide!
The cache itself, wouldn’t show
I’ll have to come back to have another go.
I missed it, doesn’t mean it’s not there.
Maybe it’s somewhere very near.
It wasn’t where I thought it would be, so I guess thats a DNF for me!

Found the hidden container with the grandkids. They loved th excitement of finding treasure. Filled in date and names, checked what was in container and then rehid in same spot. Pen works.
Great hiding spot! The pen has died though and we forgot to bring one ourselves, we will definitely be back to sign!
At I've made the effort to grab this, and apart from nearly knocking myself out on a tree branch (my own stupidity) it was worth the effort. Not only was log signing pleasantly cool,I had no idea what's lovely residential area this is. So pleased a non work day afforded the opportunity to not drive past but finally pick it up after so many years of driving past in the way to somewhere else. watch out for broken glass as there is clearly feral interest here as well as cachers.
very complicated at first, but at the end we realised it was in the most obvious place.
After not finding it last time we noticed its been replaced. Thanks Kieth for keep some well sized traditional caches for us to find.
We still like this style of cache much more than the now common Nanos.

WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, confirmed the cache was missing, and replaced the cache container and all contents.
The cache is now a drab camo'd 70mm diameter x 165 mm long round plastic screw top container, with log book, finders cards, pen, two pencils, pencil sharpener, and a selection of swaps.

Hard to find when it’s dark... log book was a bit wet tho and the inside was a bit aswell
Down in this neck of the woods to grab a puzzle FTF, this cache popped up on the GPS screen while i was waiting at the traffic lights nearby.
I quickly found a place to park the car, and after a short walk i was arriving at GZ. The cache itself was a little exposed, so it was easy find amongst the pine needles. There was a bit of moisture inside the container and the log was damp but signable. After drying out the cache as much as i could, i rehid it with a little more cover.
