This is a lovely little area. It would be great if the owner could check up on this cache as the list of dnfs is growing. Thanks anyway
Here with a new cacher....
Respectfully sugest CO check it...nearly a year since a find ..

Finally remembered to bring the Hours of Fun GC, find a cache that wasn't a micro and that we could find. TFTC.
Merry Christmas! Wandered to this place with my parents today, happened to be Christmas day too! Many muggles about!
There was a lot of undergrowth, so I didn't hold out too much hope in finding this one. Fortunately, I looked in at the right angle and, Merry Christmas, there it was. TFTC.
This weekend it was a chance to start working my way though parts of west Auckland in the company of Mr McC (McCuthan Cache Clan) so the plan was hatched (infact it was a plan from a few weeks before that had been canned due to unforseen circumstances) So now it was a chance to make the most of it.
Caches were signed in generally with MCD (or some variation there off). So off we set nice and early so as to hopefully keep ahead of the bad weather along with the Auckland traffic (which at that time of the morning when we passed through on our way north was most reasonable.
All in all we manged approx 70+ caches and still made it back to Hamilton by 4.30pm which I suspect was a surprise to our respective families.
Having finished the northern part of the journey it was time to head for an old stomping ground of mine, although I almost didn't recognise much of it with all the development
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

Out with Cats&Dragons on a late night - early morning cache run. Logs were signed MCCD but may have varied a bit as tiredness settled in. Thanks for placing this cache and giving us a reason to visit
Nice and peaceful spot today, found while out with supernannny and mrcleverclogs. Mrcleverclogs made a quick find before disappearing to the playground.
I made a quick find with granny today, then while she signed the log I ran off to play on the very cool playground.
Exactly where the hint says, although the plantings are different now? Signed both the damp and new logs Inside of cache wet. TFTC!
Good little ride around the island to get these caches; liked the park and view here. TFTC.
No one in the park today, and I can see another storm front approaching. Cache quickly found and logged before back to the car as its just starting to cloud over for another downpour. Thanks for the fun cache
Quick find thx to great hint. What a lovely spot - think I'd like to move out here!! TFTC
On the hunt with Bertie Blowfish and our geodogs. A quick find only to turn around to see my dog galavanting through the mud flats after birds, conveniently distracting potential muggles..TFTC (and one muddy little dog!)
Stopped by here with CadaverHands & geodogs, on a lovely autumn afternoon - and while we cached, the littlest geodog had an an absolute ball chasing seagulls along the muddy shore.
The hint made for a quick find, thanks. Cache was a little damp - but we dried it out as best we could. Tftc:-)

Was looking for another cache and took a few wrong turns. No matter. Perfect place to chill out and enjoy. Nice and quiet. Tftc
Nice easy find. Had to sneak back when the playground was empty to nab this one. Thanks for the hide
Found with darkangel10151 and Brandon97. Nice and quick park and find at 10:30pm doing a night run. Hint and co-ords were perfectly on point and led us final GZ.
#8 Attempted to pick up all the Herald Island caches today however muggles thwarted my 1st effort. This one here was a lot easier, great little family spot! Cache appears to have a bit of condensation meaning there is a little bit of moisture inside however log still intact. TFTC
Was hoping to find more near Mr Herald, but the clock was ticking, to had to leave, with this special smiley
Beautiful spot, a few kiddies in the playground, just lovely out on the water today. Thanks for the hide, and bringing me here!

#233. A nice quick find as I explore the very scenic Herald Island. Thanks for bringing me here! TFTC.
Cache was full of water and log disintegrated. Dried out as best I could and placed a new piece of paper in it. Thanks for hiding it.Signed and stamped. CBE from Norfolk, England
Great spot at the beach next to a nice playground. The container was quite wet inside and would require maintenance. Thanks for the cache!
First and probably last time on Herald Is. Found Christmas Beach and wondered if there was cache nearby......of course there was. Thanks.
Nice little find at one of our favourite places to visit on a nice quiet beach today. TFTC!
There was no one around today, and I found the cache straight away as it was lying in the open. The log was sopping wet so I put in a new log in a new plastic bag and covered the cache with some natural camo that was lying nearby so hopefully that will help keep it a little drier.
After abit of searching with a torch there it was, very very wet though, good container but water has still managed to get in and flooded the container and made the log very damp. Needs maintenance, thanks for bringing me here anyway (:

Not so sure how comfortable we were finding this one here tonight. But managed to find it and cache is all good here. Beautiful spot to spend some time, but too cold.. tftc.

A bit weird to search for the cache at night-time because there is a great chance, that the inhabitants of this house would find that something very suspicious is going on, if they saw our movements right along their fence, shining the flashlight around and crouching behind the fence.
Hopefully, we managed to be unnoticed.
Wanted to hang around a bit more but the evenings are getting cold, so bailed back to the car!
Thanks for the cache!

A trip to Herald Island was on the cards for today's cache.
A nice quick find at a very nice park.
After finding I continued up the road for a brief look around to find a cat casually lounging on the road and it just watched as both times I drive past.

Second attempt to collect here. First time was a lovely sunny afternoon and there were people everywhere. This evening after dinner it was all quiet and the cache was found nice and quickly.
Thanks for the cache and showing me this park.

After yesterday's washout (weather wise) and today's better forecast, StreetWalker and I were keen to do some exploring of the Te Atatu peninsula, new territory to both of us. Of course, detours to solved puzzles were part of the plan. Then there were the detours to trads on the detours to the puzzles . It took us a few hours to finally make it to our destination.
On the way home, we decided to detour via Herald Island as we had never been here before (and there were 4 caches to find!) Luckily there were few people around and cache was a quick find. We took it into the shade of a tree to do the paperwork (as the day had got steadily warmer and warmer). Love the name of the beach! TFTC.

Staying with a friend who lives on the island. Went for a walk around the island stopping every so often to look for a cache. Found this one thanks.
Found some distance from where hint suggests, water logged , all contents soaked and mouldy. Have replaced with temporary log but will benefit from some general maintenance.
Scottie venturing out alone to see if cache was about. Hunted all around suggested GZ with nothing doing. Decided to widen the search zone considerably and was lucky enough to come up triumphs. Can't describe this as cache creep, more like cache leap. Lid not shut , all contents soaked and mouldy, now binned. Temporary log( piece of paper ) and replacement bag in situ. Needs some CO attention. Cache has been replaced as hint suggests, under natural camo.
Nice little park with a great outlook. No luck here today. Will add to watch list.
Great way to end a lovely evening. Dinner at the beach and a quick find with bizepeople. Bit of damp in the cache though and need to take your own pen for this one

Muggles sitting too close today, not sure if we will get another chance to seek it out while we are in Auckland on holiday. The "beach" was a bit of an experience for the kids LOL!
Out enjoying a bike ride on a nice quiet day. Got muggled by a local resident who said that other people looked further away from the corner.
Today find the cache in a very nice area, our 2nd day in new Zealand and visiting our family. tftc
Found it in record time, almost makes up for the long time I take on ones that have oodles of 'nice easy find' comments.
It was blowing up a storm, so I took the cache to the car to sign. The log sheets have pretty much turned to mulch. I put a spare sheet and a small plastic bag in to keep it going till the owner can do some maintenance on it.
Thanks for the cache [^]

Searched for a little too long than I'd like to admit, but found it in the end!
Think I found it...... May have been Muggled, and was left out in the open!
If it was the cache, I put a new log in it and placed it back in GZ (I hope).

Lots of muggles in the park on the playground and the nearby neighbour was out drinking on his deck with a mate. But we were stealthy and depsite taking some time, we found it. The log was soggy and we could not sign it easily.
A bit longer hunt in the dark then it should have been - but eventually located - the log was very damp and could not be written on so signed the outside of the plastic bag !!!! thanks for the cache
Another night cache working our way in a roundabout way to the shore .
Had been out on this island onece before and bought my first boat Was an interesting trip home and once again it was in the dark !!!!! One day im going to come out here in daylight!!!
Cache found quickly when GPS settled down and we were on our way TFTC

This one took a lot longer to find than it should have. We were searching high and low, then eventually coming across something that should have been plain obvious right from the start! TFTC
It's seen better days completely soaked but the first one we have found so happy!
Added some dry paper to sign, the other paper too wet, TFTC and the nice hide too
Super quick find from one of the CODEhill kids. Log book is absolutely soaking and unable to sign so added a new piece of paper. TFTC
