Logs
Due to need to alter the environment to enable the placing of this cache this will be permanently ARCHIVED.
As there's been no cache to find or log to sign for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
What are the locals, or muggles, or pirating geocachers doing?
I'll be back !

Yet another DNF. While I got a lot of finds today, there were a lot of DNFs too. Oh well. Searched all over the retaining wall, pushed aside the copious grass etc, but turned up nothing.
watch out for a snake about 30 m from the cache on the way in. Stomp around a bit so that you don't surprise him!

Mission Status: SUCCESS #1441
Hunt Time: Approach 5mins – GZ 1mins
Muggle Factor: 1 (Very Low)
GAFF^^: 1 (Unassisted)
Swaps: Nil
TB Visited: Jumbuck Finger
Cache Status: Good Condition
Report: A lovely bio-project and a nice quick zig-zag walk to GZ for a simple pick-up. Good to see initiatives like this executed well to create a little oasis in the centre of town. Recent rain saw it all green and lush and the heat of the day not yet fully realised. Cache was very exposed so I added a bit of camo to hide it from casual observation of the passer-by muggle. Cheers!

If it wasn't for the cache you wouldn't come to this area. But isn't that often the case!! TFTC SL
Every now and then, some caches need to see the light of day as they haven't been seen for months or even years. Even if it was a DNF a few times you might just get lucky.
We had a very eventful day covering a wide area in and around the Taree district great day out ..locate this one, TFTC SL ...

Hmmm, which way to approach from with 3 possibilities. Decided the southern side provided the easiest access though felt a bit exposed walking along the neighbour's fence. Anyway, once at GZ the thing was found straight away, logs signed and back to the car. Just as I heard the neighbour's back door open as I went past. Ignored that and made my escape. Thanks Grahame Cookie.
I had a look for this cache yesterday afternoon and after finding the little plaque on the kerbside, wandered in through the gate and along the path
I got close to GZ, but not close enough
There is a working hand pump to play with on this side of the creek which kids of all ages will love
I did wander along the streets to see if there might be a path on the other side, but it was very overgrown and time was getting late.....
Mid morning today and I was back in towne and decided to throw caution to the wind and just charge in through the long grass.
But wait !!!!!
Just before I arrived, a neighbourly muggle had mown a neat strip about 2 foot wide all the way along the outside of his fence to within a few metres of GZ [:o]
You just can't pay for service like that [^]
Must be karma paying me back for drying out waterlogged caches
Anyhoo, I found the cache pretty quickly and enjoyed the surrounds of the reedy ponds as I filled in the logbook
TFTC.
PS: The kerbside plaque explained the highly unusual layout of the bottleshop drive thru across the road too

We turned this into an expedition that visited every park of the park. But we did get to the cache in the end great camoflage. TNLNSL Grahame Cookie. [387]
The summary.
Today we did a push from Newcastle to Taree and back, the tally for today - 20 caches (two needing maintenance), 37 degree temperatures, a scrub tick, a bruised knee and a cut finger. Sounds like a typical day caching ...... with fun had by all.

Nice walk to find the cache, the geokids liked the water pump and it actually worked!! Easy find. Took pink mirror and giraffe, left toy truck and finger puppet monster. TFTC
Found this one with ALCAN 4X4 tody nice spot we would have driven past this place not even knowing it was there if not for caching

Found 1640hrs. Find No: 9 for the day. Lovely stroll through the stormwater runoff area. Took a karabiner and left a koala keyring.
Another area showing the effects of the recent rains. Good camo on this one. Cache is still dry and safe.
TNLN Thanks
TNLN Thanks
Coords were pretty good for a quick find on this one, but then, the cache was there for all to see. It's obviouss that no-one apart from cachers venture in here, otherwise it wouldn't last the distance.
An interesting location & the local care group have done a fair job, but I wonder why the cache was placed almost in someones back yard, when there were plenty of other locations available.
Thanks for bringing us here.
Cheers.

Yet another cache that was within throwing distance of me on a jobsite in my muggle days.
Nice spot and an easy find for me.
I let Geoson search for a few minutes before he found it.
Took Doggy bags. Left Street Racer.
Thanks for another Grahame.

Found at 2.50pm GAFF1. A good cache that again showcases an interesting area. We missed the track turn-off as we were trying to follow the sound of a bird that we thought was an owl, but in the end looked nothing like one. Thanks Grahame Cookie.
Rainy day find. We accessed this one the back way. Feet got wet, so did the rest of us...though not because of the ponds. Cache container had about 50 mls of water in it so we let it "runoff". picked up TB to move him on.TFTC
Nice spot Graham, great place to walk the dog! TN L TB Penguin bob.

Found the location and conferred on best way to access GZ. We went over the fence and went pretty much in a straight line right to cache. And no .. we didn't get wet feet!
Yep, very wet and very overgrown, generally it was an easy find, almost gauranteed to be the only person that far down the drain. Left kellogg's mini game, took Simpsons figurine, bouncy ball & stamp.
Even after more overnight rain the contents are still dry. So am bringing through some TB's on way home from placing a cache in Tapin Tops NP
I actually put CURLY10! instead of CIRLY10!. any way first cache in my name.

Came here after picking my Uncle at the train. Came with my brother to get his own first find(CIRLY10!). The cache was sitting on the retaining wall so I put where I found it before.
left: geocoin, karabina (medium size)

2nd cache on our sunday arvo caching spree. A pretty easy find considering he asked me if he should put it on the retaining wall. It was hard though since of the long grass. Only one muggle which was an old man just passing through.
Took Nothing
Left Nothing
TFTC. Now for a cool nice soft drink from BI-LO.

1800 On way home and thought I'd give Barney a few more logged miles, rather than just riding shotgun in my cache bag.
Found it after 5 minutes, very well camouflaged. Loved the walk and never been in the park.
Our first geocion. Well placed cache in a lovely spot in the middle of town. Quite peaceful by the water. Left Ozzie TB to see where he goes.
