Out on another day trip with Steve. I'm starting to like this Thursday off business. A great drive around the country side and picked up a few smiley faces TFTH TFTC
TFTC! Out for another Wheatbelt drive with Cravo10 to cleanup a bunch of caches published since or that we left since our last visit a couple of years back.
Had a great day out covering approx 900km and visiting a large number of country towns that have very low cache density. Highlights included finding more of zed' archived caches and visiting roe lookout which had fantastic views of the countryside.
Thanks

The fantastic artwork nearby has been added since we were last here, looks pretty good too. Thanks for the cache.
Without the cache we wouldn't have stopped to look at the smallest bank, or seen the cool art done by Steve.
Thanks for the hide. Took a bit of a detour through some wet and mushy roads to her here but we made it. Love these ones that take you to a interesting spot a bit out if the way.
We were camped nearby, and went into Shackleton for the Saturday paper, but he had sold out of the three(3) extra papers he normally gets in! Not a busy town, but the residents were very friendly and helpful.
Thanks for bringing us to the smallest bank.
Nice easy find

Spent the day caching in the Bruce Rock Shackelton area and this was one of our finds. TFTC
On the way back from Hyden to Perth a short stopp here. I have never seen a smal bank like this! Very nice! The opening hour is only on Friday for 2 hours!
Found at 12.25
Quick find. Was on the ground so signed & replaced.
Loved the bank. Shut today.

Heading out of Perth on another weekend jaunt to learn about our new caravan and train the cat how she has to travel and find caches as a GeoCat on our trip around Australia.
Camping at Kokerbin rock this weekend. With a late arrival Friday we didn't have time to search for caches till today.
We locked up the van with the cat inside and set off on a tour to include Bruce Rock, Narembeen and Corrigin before returning.
This was the first cache that we stopped at today. Enjoyed reading the history of the Bank and took some photo's. Think this is the first time we have visited Shackleton.
Looking forward to meeting other cachers at WA goes BIG in 2013 - GC45X55
TFTC and sharing the history here ZED!

Found it with Geo-rge, Miss Jane & EMDH on our WA road trip.
Wasn't open today, so unable to make a deposit

[:(!] Went for day of geocaching with my darling geowife as we drove through the following towns. York, Quairading, Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Beverley, York and then going on home, picking up some caches along the way and this was one of them, parking our new geoGrand Vitara (3 door) as close as possible to GZ and we walked the 10 odd meters to the cache, on arrival at GZ we had the cache in hand in a matter of minutes.

Dropped in to pick up a "little" cash (or is that cache?) from the smallest bank but found out it is only open on Fridays for an hr & a half! & looks like it has closed up anyway. Thanks for this cache ZED.
What a ripper spot and thankfully, our new hobby brought us here! Nice quick find and a meeting with Red Dog. TFTC
I have driven through Shackleton so many times and have never stopped to see the bank. Well today we stopped on our way home from an early morning caching run to Bruce Rock. This unique little building has an interesting story, we were also lucky enough to be greeted by Red Dog who may have moved on by now.
Ahhhhhhhh holidays!!!!!!! Our 41st find in a new adventure east

this building is so cute. Just as we pulled up a car full of tourists did as well so we had to wait for them to take umpteen photos and leave, before we sauntered over to gz and then returned to take our own photos.
Started out for a short drive and ended up a 600km round trip.
This was one of the caches I found.
Dosn't look like much goes on inside anymore. TFTC

Certainly a small bank. The cache was a quick find. After a quick toilet stop we continued west.

What a cute little building. Not many of these around any more, that's for sure. TFTC
WanderingAus wandered by en route to the 10th Anniversary Back To The Bush Veterans' Reunion at Bruce Rock, and made an extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find.
Last year I passed through on my way back from the reunion on 8 Nov 09, just 6 days too early to hunt this cache down, but I took a photo of the bank then to claim a find of GA1239 Small and Big by stringy.
My find No 3243, TNLNSL.

Found at night time with Team DJ Bilo and locals watching carefully behind their bonfire.
Marvellous, I wouldn't have stopped at Shackleton if there hadn't been a cache there and so wouldn't have seen the bank.
Bank robbers would have loved the place.
Not much else in town though, except for the bowls club. Every town has to have one of those.

This has the world's smallest pencil to go with Australia's smallest bank! TFTH
We drove past this location back in Oct 09 and thought it deserving of a cache so we were pleased to see that one had been put there. Nice hide ZED!
Its a shame the smalled bank is not still rich with money. Must have been hard working in such a small bank. TNLNSL
Our fifth cache of the day, stopped and had lunch under the gazebo, a friendly dog came to visit. Nice easy find. TNLN TFTH SL Regards from Grey Nomadz
yes a nice little bank. great hide and the second hide was good to . left dog charm
Damn - too early - a week ago I took a photo here to claim GA1531 Small and Big by stringy http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga1531 for "Australia's Smallest Bank". Now I'll have to go back to hunt the cache.
