Pity people don't raise concerns with the cache owner directly. Container right where it is supposed to be. 2m from a council seat in fact. How dangerous can an area like that be? Oh well, time for a new cache here. Container gone - just holding the spot.
THIS IS A HIGHLY DANGEROUS CACHE. As I approached the GZ, a piece of the cliff above fell down and landed a few metres away. I was about 5m behind the low rock wall and midway between the seat and the phoenix palm. I immediately abandoned any attempt to retrieve this cache – no way do I want to be remembered as one who died whilst hunting a Tupperware container. Rocks falling from the cliff are a frequent event judging from the evidence lying around. I find it hard to comprehend why someone would place a cache there. This cache should be immediately disabled until a replacement location is found.
DNF
No problems gathering the required numbers… finding the cache proved to be another matter… we will be back.

Hmmm after much scrambling round no luck ... Little Beanso's had had enough !! We'll be back !!! (haven't I heard that somewhere before ????)
Collected the info, drove to the final and had a decent search before turning up the container. TFTC.
Last time we walked the multi, and got a DNF. This time we drove straight to the final location, and quickly found it. Nice to have this off the list finally. Added one of those pathtag coins. TFTC
We walked - picking up Today's Vague Directions on the way. The final for this one was made much harder by a mis-coding of the clue, by the time I realised I had mistranslated a key word we were bitten and it was getting late, so will go back another time to finish up!
Well interestingly enough I walked this one. Cache-mobile decided it would take a day off which left me to spend the morning caching on foot!
Spotted a camo, err, mufti cop car working the nearby area as I walked and he was doing very well on his quota. Very surprising how well hidden something in plain sight can be.
Needed a bit of a look around at the final but found it OK eventually.
Many thanks for the cache.

Cache check due to recent logs re rock falls - GZ unaffected & cache still in place
Our neighbour worked very hard to get the funding for this memorial. I can't believe the dedication was 8-1/2 years ago - the years are flying by. Interesting history. The final cache is just down the path from our house, but a man in a camper looked as if he was going to spend the night (although it is prohibited) so we couldn't search for the final cache. We'll get back to this one.

Like last visitor got to GZ to find recent rock falls and tree felling in the area. Looked around for a while with no luck. Cache may be buried or missing?? Will watch for future logs.
Was staying in an apartment right across the road from Mr. T so got the clues sorted yesterday.
Tried to get to GZ today before rushing to the airport to catch a plane. Had a quick look, but due to a lot of new soft rock having tumbled down in the area, wasn't in the right clothes to search well. Next time maybe. TFTC

A fun visit to Nelson for a few sunny days with some very enjoyable caches both in location and hiding style. I don't think a compass would work in Nelson given all the magnets located about the place. Any way thanks to all the local cachers for all the local caches, please excuse the template log.
I hate to think what life about ship must have been like back then.

In the car today. Hunted a bit then rethought my strategy - then there it was nice and simple! TFTC (56)

We missed this one last time due to leaving lappy(it had all the PQ queries on it - aka da multis!) in da boot of da car at Auckland airport crash on the motorway, almost missed plane. Worked out final. Nice little spot, found after abit of a hunt, which was enjoyable, no parked up muggles.
Thanks for the time in making this cache for me to come along and enjoy
Cheers

We enjoyed the peacefulness of this final location - have noticed it before, but never stopped. Thanks
2nd find on a sunny ANZAC day. Drove from statue to site as geokids were a bit tired. Nice spot.
12:55 Gathered the information and drove to the final location. Our 100th cache on our trip downunder.TFTC
A great history lesson, and a great spot for the cache. I'd thought about putting one here at some point, but now I know there's one here already!

I'll admit we had guessed the location (due to my walking habits along that route) and so decided we'd use the hint and check it out, and if we were wrong - so be it. Bring a torch or something, makes it a bit more "enjoyable"
Nice easy find after being totally lazy and driving to the main cache site, but we had just driven 300km so we had an excuse. Loved the view

A work mate and i stopped at the final location this morning for smoko and i thought to my self this has to be a prime spot for a cache so i had a bit of a hunt a round and sure enough after a quick search i found one Only problem was the cache container didn't have a name on it so i had to jot down a few entries and dates and then match them up to this cache.TFTC done without a GPS TNLNSL.
Enjoyed this one! Always like to read about Abel Tasman. Took a wee bit of hunting - first Annie went up too far - but she saw a lizard, for the first time she can remember since childhood - so she thought the scrabble was worth it. PB quickly spotted it though - being much more sensible about the requirements for the hint! We drove, as we were needing to head that way anyway. TNLN
#1150 Last cache of the day before having a well earned shower and a beer. TNLN DS8300
Sobad had a great time walking to the cache - soaked by the stormy sea. Mrs Sobad and her sister managed to stay perfectly dry. A great excuse for a walk at the end of a rainy/windy day. TNLN.
Easy find. Did the first part yesterday when I went swimming but have to admit to driving there as my legs were still tired from a 75k bike ride in the morning. Had to abandon the search at the cache location due to some muggles parked nearby. Very quiet today though.

Good to see Old Abel helping us out again.
Couldnt work out why we had a D but none in the coords and we had no G. Finally we deduced the likely error. Surprised the coords havent been corrected yet.
A few muggles at the final but they came and went quickly.

A very quick find on the way to Float My Boat. Mr Explorer was annoyed that he didn't read the clue correctly at 6am on day one which cost him the FTF. He needs to learn to read things more carefully. Nice multi. TFTC.
A bit confused with the ABC's so went prepared with 2 options and was surprised to find cache at the first place we searched. - geocoin +? TFTC
1896. It was a quick find after answering the questions. This was a good time of the day to be doing this cache.
+ butterfly geocoin - sun geocoin
Thanks

Got there by bicycle. That wasn't where I was expecting to ride to! Not too many muggles today, disguised myself by admiring flowers while there. Took Canada Geocoin - ready for placing in TES7 tomorrow
Mrs Fuddley drove to GZ but too many muggles around looks like people are camping there, they had cloths and bedding all over the plants. So will have to return another day. By the way shouldn't E 173 15.EFG read E 173 15.DEF?
We drove as its not our most favourite place for a walk. Not quite as quick a find as we had expected. TNLN.

Nice One!!!!!!!Can't say to much on this one for fear of spoilers other than, why has no one, including ourselves, put a cache at this popular location? Some very unique Nelson history nearby. Trial and error was the key to the find. Thanks
So much for a FTF beaten yet again by the master I agree with USAK the spot has needed a cache great to see it and the final both covered now well done. Biked out to both and enjoyed watching the big sea ( High Tide) crashing on the rocks. Meet Mrs and the little Kiwi-Explores as I was getting ready to leave GZ always nice to meet fellow caches..

FTF for M&D at 8.45am and coincidently, 845th cache find. This was a bit of revision after having recently done a similar themed cache in Golden Bay. No swaps. Thanks and Cheers.
Mr Explorer tried for a quick FTF at 6.30am but had no luck after 5 minutes of searching so Mrs Explorer had a look later in the morning and still couldn't find the sucker. Oh well, we will be back.
