Another of Uncle Johns cache interfered with. Placed Nov 2007 with no problems all those years. Opening the area up to see who wants the position so badly if tourists can't find the steel plate hiding the cache all these years behind the big rock.
Found what I considered a large rock, had an explore around and came up empty handed
TFTC. Another Muggle likes the idea. Don’t know if they’ll transition to the light side
We're currently travelling New Zealand in search of adventures. We're exploring Invercargill and Bluff

After our visit at Stirling Point, Bluff, we went for a walk along the coast and passed this cache which we found quickly. Pen belonging to the cache was not working and we forgot our pen in the car. We contacted the owner and ask for acceptance of a photo log. Owner was so kind to agree.
Thanks for the cache.
Best regards from Stuhr/Germany

Seine Antwort: go for it, mate. You made an old men happy. Danke für den Cache.

Cache 854 with Covid lockdown now lifted and a small break in the weather it was time to start climbing up this month’s mountain challenge so decided to hit a few caches in bluff for this one being as it’s uncertain if we will end up in lockdown again hopefully I can climb the bulk of it today
Couldn’t find this cache on my way past the first time so I thought id try again on my way back and boom it suddenly became easy, think I was just cache blind earlier… DOH cache is in good shape T4TC

Kia ora for the cache. Had quite a few conversations with the manu, unfortunately we don't speak Tūī.
#1164. I've been walking the Te Araroa trail and this is day 168 - the very last day of my 3,000km walk from Cape Reinga to Bluff. This cache is the 86th and final cache I found along the way.
Stirling Point (the finish line of the trail) was almost in sight by now, and I didn't want to finish the trail, so I distracted myself by looking for this geocache. Unfortunately I didn't get distracted for too long, it's an easy cache to find! I like the camouflage that's gone into this one!
Thanks for the cache! [Here's a link to my Te Araroa blog entry for today](http://teararoa.g2.co.nz/2021/03/16/day-168-invercargill-to-bluff/) for anyone interested!

We decided to just go a short way along this beautiful coastal walkway. This was the turn around point. This cache is not going anywhere in hurry! Nicely placed for the long haul. Thanks for the cache pipedream
A nice Walk along thus rugged coast line on a fresh morning ..the cache was found all good under good cover thanks pipedream for the history and placement
Spent a lovely afternoon in Bluff with my son and his family walking and geocaching. Found with Span85 and Iroquoispilot. TFTC.
Had a bit of time to spare before heading for a meal at the nearby restaurant so I went for a fast walk along this track. This was the second of three caches found, very nicely hidden! Great weather today and perfect views out across Foveaux Strait. Signed log, TFTC!
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I are on a bit of a Christmas Roadtrip to Ingill & back ... we'll be doing a few geocaches on our travels ... this being the 43rd of hopefully many ... we were in Bluff as we were wanting to walk part of the Foveaux Track around the base of Bluff Hill ... a brisk walk to grab this cache ... a quick find, sign the log & replace ... in between 'muggles' coming & going ... so had no real issues ... TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #1,777 for us.
Enjoying my walk along here. Lots of muggles here on the way out to the Lighthouse. Walked back with a local man and snagged this one the way. Cheers
Wednesday 4 November. Bluff is on my radar today. So Toby lets get going!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

(# 6129). Day 9 of my South Island odyssey. Today is getting some caches around Invercargill and Bluff as well as having a good look around. A nice walk to the GZ and a quick find in a nicely crafted hide. Everything in order. Not many caches today due to the weather. TFTC
Found with Nanook on a rainy blustery day. Beautiful country, great trail. Only negative is the COVID19 virus and wondering if/when we’ll make it home to Alaska. Thanks for the hint. TFTC.
A week of work in Invercargill so at the end of the day today headed to Bluff to grab some caches. Nice walk this evening. Thanks for the cache.
Crowling under bushes to come behind the rock. Nice day, nice walk and a nice cache.
Greets from Germany.

After a quick search by Ruru NZ who had cache blindness for this one I stepped in and located. We took the TB from cache to help on its journey. Will decide who takes it when we get back to car.
On a 3 day caching venture with Nosynel. We have a few goals in mind, especially the TMGT caches and Bluff Hill. Our friends from Christchurch were the last finders. Dropped off a TB. Thanks for the hide.

It was a nice walk. Jude-E and I are on a geocaching trip to the deep south. Instead of driving down from Christchurch we decided to get a cheap flight down. Thanks pipedream for placing this geocache 7966 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

It would be ride not to continue on from the TMGT cache on such a lovely day. A nice quick find too. Cheers.
Time to have a holiday road trip, and today we cruised around Invercargill and environs, to collect a few TMGT and other caches.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Yus. Now to wait for muggles to pass so I can return it! Qiute clear where to put it. A quick walk after morning tea at Oyster Cove. No plastic wrapped butter there, hurrah for greaseproof paper! Tftc
Cool cache. Every thing was in good condition. Swapped a ninja for a lion and rugby card. Deserves a fav point. Got it at the start of a long trip on the te araroa.

We had bumped into an old acquaintance at the car park- their ferry booking had to be changed to 5pm so to fill in time her hubby and friends had gone to the Invercargill transport museum, but she joined us for a walk. So explained geocaching before diving into the bushes for that typical pipe dream hide.
First time in this area! Came to Bluff for my honeymoon in1984, but didn’t do much walking!! Tftc
Enjoyed the lovely weather here in Bluff and took advantage of it to do some gentle walking. Next day all hell broke loose on the crossing to Stewart Island but that is another story.... TFTC
Went ahead of our walking group so Janette and I could get this cache....loved the hide method....

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 9 Middlemarch to Invercargill 13 caches found but none of the target caches. A nice easy find. As I was returning I thought I noticed Supernanny heading to cache. I wasn't sure but when I got to the next cache she had signed it. Thank you for the placement.

After a busy day at the Civic Theater, time to get some fresh air. So a trip to Bluff was the decision.
A nice cloudy walk to the gz. Watching the boats come in... hopefully with more Oysters on board or at least a blue cod or two.
