Had a look at this one. It appears that they have stripped out some of the track switching components and the cache has gone with it. Too bad, this was one of my best caches.
Thanks to all the looked for this one.

We thought we had found where it might be on our second visit .... We don't think it is here ..... On the sign ???
We have been here twice and not found it ... Even though we thought we had solved the clever riddle
12:50 PM
After over an hour of searching in the hot sun, reading logs, resetting gps etc, unfortunately we concede defeat on this one.

Seriously? One DNF since December 2014 and you want it archived? I don't get it.
Check the 4 star rating, it is hard to find, on purpose!!
I live 70km away and I will not be running out there every time there is a DNF. Sorry.
Happy caching

That is exactly how I feel about these kind of stations. Despite it being abandoned I can't help myself looking in the distance for a "better be careful".

Our only free day for quite some time so we decided to head out on a geomission around the area. We have had a couple of mini tours lately, but today we went all out to Cowra and Grenfell to see how many we could find. Rapidlywild came along for the drive to fill her gaps where she has previously posted DNF's. The weather was lovely and the drive was picturesque, thank you to all the cache owners for bringing us to this lovely part of Australia.
This one was tricky, very clever hide, We enjoyed this one,

Love the old train caches. Took me a few minutes to see it but i was right with what I was looking for so that helped.
Sorry for the late log I have fallen a bit behind in logging.

Plans were made with Tanso for a day trip round Cowra and Grenfell. We started the day off with the WWFM event and then it was on the road for us
Very enjoyable day out in the smaller towns. Undortunately we did have a number of DNF's however these things happen and it just gives us more reasons to return We arrived in Cowra about 2pm and I got back to Canberra just on 2am. Was a range of finds and some very good ones too ! We finished the trip driving through Young when we spotted a "bomfire" which turned out to be a vehicle on fire. We pulled up and called 000 immediately to get the firies out. Always fun and games on road trips [:p]
The Difficulty on this one had both Tanso and myself prepared for an extensive search. Luckily for us, Tanso came up with the goods very quickly here !!! Well done woman !!!!! Very clever hide thats for sure.
Thanks suzukifreak_1 for placing these caches, lovely area especially on a day like today.

Enjoying some night-caching around Cowra. Despite being the middle of June, it was actually really pleasant being out tonight. Made for searches like this to be less troubled by muggles though. Chunk found this very very clever hide. The log is very full by the way. A favourite point from us for this. TFTC suzukifreak1
First we read the helpful description, then carefully looked until we spotted something that didn't seem quite right. Soon it was CIH and the log was signed in a very tight space near another finder from a few years ago. We enjoy finding a cache that is more challenging and interesting than the usual. This deserves a fav point from us.. TFTC.
Yay we found it. This one has eluded us previously. After Tellytees sent a pic of their find in Blayney yesterday we were right onto this one today. And guess who turned up right after we found it!!
Log is really full. TFTC.

Pulled up to search for this one but it already had some cachers there so went to leave but suddenly realised that the caching family belonged to an ex-work colleague & caching buddy so found more than we were looking for. Good to see Heatherglen once again
Lovely old station and a very clever hide here, didn't take too long to find luckily.

Found it on a sunny Easter Sunday while staying in Cowra. Glad there were no trains running and the car club weren't having a meeting as this one took quite awhile to find but was well worth it. The log is full so I signed where I could. A favourite point for this one. TFTC
Having contemplated this one for the last month (after looking for hours with no luck) I had it sorted and was able to go straight to it - very good hide. I looked at this the last time but did not take the next step.
Lovely old station - great to see the car club looking after it.
Thanks for the cache suzukifreak_1
Definitely needs a new log.

Found it!! Very very well hidden. Look for something out of place... TFTC!! Needa new log. Completely full.
Enjoyed wander around this town/country. Loved your create one. Signed the log. Thanks suzukifreak_1. Fav from me.
Today we travelled from Gooloogong to Cowra using geocaching as a guide.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

My three month Brisbane adventure has started. Day 1, Canberra to Cowra.
My new 4WD is loaded with my mountain bike, my GeoSchnauzers, my geocaching kit, and a few other things the dogs and I might need while we're away. We got away bright and early today, at midday, after breakfast at the local coffee shop, and after waiting for the house to empty so I could lock up properly.
No 15 of 16 today. Thanks, suzukifreak_1. Top cache, you get a favorite point for this one!! We've arrived in Cowra, checked into the motel, eaten, and I'm doing a night caching trip to get the GeoSchnauzers walked. I found this one fairly quickly, but only because I was skipping myriad hiding places in the dark, as my torch batteries were a bit feeble.

OMG. My first truly concealed cache.
Thank you very much for the effort you put into hiding this one hated looking LOVED finding!
Took about 40mins.
Trust your GPS folks.

We came down earlier and had to leave due to muggles. But when coming back we had a closer look at something and bingo there it was. This is very well done. Will give a fav point.
I had tried this back in 2011. Have I learnt anything in the last few years? Probably not but I did find this little sucker in between the drizzle. Tis a lovely old station
Well at last I have it. Thanks for the challenge. We only come one a year and that's how long I have been waiting to do this. TFTC TNLN SL. A great cache and well worthy of my favourite.
It wasn't a lack of not wanting to find it. The local car club were having a open day for the public so there were too many muggles around to conduct our search.
Well this was the end of a line in a sense for us, at least for the line that started in December 2005 and now leads to our 1000th find here in Cowra. We had looked for this cache before and came away stumped. Having been defeated once, and with a milestone find on offer we were determined not to be defeated this time. Being keen on railways history also help the persistence. So this time it took 2 walks.. Being in the right sport, walking away.. Touching the cache.. Walking away.. Then sitting in the car reading all the logs it became clear where the search should be focused.. And indeed.. There was the cache. So we are very pleased to reach 1000! Whoo hoo!! Thanks suzukifreak 1.. oh and the log was a bit damp, and very full. We only got the initials of our team name on.
This took a lot of searching before we eventually came up with the goods. We had found the one near Blayney some time ago and thought this would be similar, but it was so long ago that we'd forgotten the details. A great hide. TFTC suzukifreak
This was the cache of the day for us out with mnjontour today! Great hide. Loved the camo - all four of us had checked the hide without success, but Mr Stormcatcher looked closer and came up with the goods. A passing muggle (or Geocacher maybe) cried out have you found it, I think it's more that way lol . I think he might have been having a bit of fun with us [:p] . Definite favourite for us..well done! TFTC
Found on a day's caching with the Stormcatchers. Definitely the cache-of-the- day. While we were searching a muggle dog- walker came over and said "it's over that way further". It wasn't. Trusted our GPS and Mr Stormcatcher soon had the little devil in hand. Great hide and a favourite from us.
Great cache, great container! It's always a pleasure doing the harder caches because the hides are fantastic! Thanks! Thoroughly enjoyed the hunt.
We have come across several caches recently with dodgy coordinates so we spent quite a bit of time looking where we thought the cache should be. Finally we decided to trust the GPS and look further afield. An anomaly was soon spotted and a very clever hide revealed - worth one of our votes. TFTC.
Great cache hide. Very challenging and thought provoking. Found during a 4 day stay in Cowra for an AGM. Had some help from fellow cacher Au.Fait. Thank you.
On the way home from OzMega, I decided if I stopped for every cache along the way it would take me a year to get back to Sydney. Compromise was to find one every hour, this is my 14th cache for the trip. SL #1400 TFTC fav awarded
Tricky find. Needed some effort due to recent rains. WD40??? Clever and well executed. TFTC
We knew what we were looking for, but it still took us a good 10 minutes of searching. Good location and clever camo. I wonder if they'll ever use these lines again? TFTC.
I'd stayed in Cowra a couple of weeks ago and found a few caches around town. I did come down here but didn't stay long - I thought I'd logged a DNF but it's not there. Anyway having visited the Blayney equivalent on the way I had a much better idea of this one although it still took me a while. At least I knew what I was looking for this time. Signed and replaced before the flies ate me.
Thanks!
Thanks!
1612. After reading the past logs I knew tat this was not going to be easy, after a 10 minute search I came up with a cache log to sign, Sneaky hide !! Squeezed my initials and date onto the log and replaced.

Wow this one has been annoying me for months, went there back in August(twice)with not a clue and not an idea what to look for, this time around I had an inkling what to look for but still took a half hour to find and then that magical moment, the dancing, the jumping around, the excitement when it appeared to me yes yes yes what a moment.i can understand y people have been coming back time after time what a great hide.log is chockers needs a new one..SL TFTC:)
This one has had me stumped for months. Today, I can proudly say that "I found it". What a great hide! I didn't want to put a DNF down for this one previously as I was determined that I would get it eventually. Log's full but managed to squeeze my name on. TFTC
#2,043
After finding the twin cache at the other end of the line we had an idea of what we would be looking for. And so this was a quick find for us.
This one needs maintenance - the log is full, we used the last available space to squeeze our names on.
Thanks for bringing us to such a lovely old station

We'd found the sister cache to this one earlier in the day, so this one was easy for us to spot. We found it instantly. But when we opened it, we wondered whether we had lost a small part of the previous cache. I contacted the owner to explain. Anyway, a clever use of the environment to make the hide. Thanks
Stopped here for lunch and after a short while was able to find this one. Nicely maintained station, but alas no trains.
We got the 'end of the line' but didn't get the find. Had to move on as some Muggles wandered by. Will be back.
Like others have said, finding the Blayney version made this one easier. Still very emjoyable though!
The final day of the world-wide tour of Dubbo with Doppelfrog. For a trip to Dubbo we have taken a route through Boorowa, Blaney, Orange, Coonabrarbran, Naromine, Parkes, Forbes, Grenfell, Cowra and Wyangalla. We even spent a day in Dubbo! This morning dawned cold but at least nice and sunny so a walk around few local Cowra caches was undertaken before we started the drive homeward. I noticed the name of this obne and realiswed it must be the other end of the "other end" so-to-speak that we completed at the beginning of our trip. I joked to Doppelfrog if I could also find this one in under 3 minutes flat (it does help having completed both) and sure enough in approximately 1 minute flat the cache was in hand. Both were exceptionally good hides I might add and get a fav from me - I was just lucky the first time I think.
Love this series! We also found 'The other end of the line' earlier in the week. Very well done, and an interesting location.
6659 + 823 = 7482. Found during a great weekend caching in the Bathurst region with Sol de Lune.
Second stop and while I have tried this one before but missed it I was determined to find my (currently) last unfound cache in Cowra. After last time failing I tried a different tactic this time and after about 5 minutes found something that looked promising - and then the cache was revealed - Very Nice Indeed ! A Favourite Point from me.
Thanks suzukifreak_1 !

My lucky day so far. Still early so no cars, no trains, and no helpful muggles inside the building, I had the place to myself. Took a few moments of seeking the cache in all the wrong places before I actually believed my GPS, so then made the very clever sneaky hide remarkably quickly. A fav from me TFTC suzukifreak 1
En route from Sydney to Canberra (the long way!) chasing windmills. Stopped for a picnic lunch at nearby Europa Park and then thought we'd give this a go. Very tricky! As it turned out, coordinates were surprisingly spot on. Very crafty container. Favourite from us. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
After 2 previous DNF's it was a great feeling to finally find this one. A couple of folk came out from inside the station asking if I had found it, so they know where it is as well.
Thanks for the fun and I'm happy to cross this one off.......

I spent a good while looking for this one. I thought there was only one of the Museum staff/volunteers about but she soon disappeared inside, so I continued searching, but by the time I actually found it there were four of them and they were all discussing the sport of geocaching. One chap called out that he knew what I was doing and helped with a hint of what to look for and one of the ladies even rang her daughter to see if she could help! Fortunately I did eventually find it much to everyone's relief and they wished me well. Such a friendly crowd, so a favourite point awarded for their encouragement. A very subtle hide.
Read the info and found the 'clue' and yep spot on...have come across this in the west and it took us about 3 attempts to find that one so was clued in for this one. TFTC
Unable to find today plus a muggle was hanging around so we moved on. Bit bummed out we didn't find it.
Prepared for the worst we approached this cache with some trepidation. A relatively quick search however uncovered the culprit and success was ours. A cunning cache. TFTC.
Enjoying some caching in & around Cowra during our house sitting assignment. A sneaky little hide ! I have found similar one in the Hunter Valley (RVR). Luckily the place was deserted. SL TFTC Fav point
I searched unsuccessfully, and then I had to be on the road again. If I'm ever this way again I might take another look.
Had to be in Sydney for some family duties so we decided to grab a few caches on the way back home.
After a short search we made a quick find here today with Just a cacher. We could see that this one could cause some trouble.
Thanks for the cache suzukifreak 1.

This was my fav of a cache run up from Canberra.
The Station was clear, with some cars and locals at the local Ballet studio next door, we had the place to ourselves.
When we arrived, it was drizzling, but as the search went on. It got heavy, but it didn't phase us as it was quite pleasant
Arrived a GZ and looked around, no luck. Looked further afield and no luck. Came back to GZ and no luck.
Was thinking, damn we have to leave and then it revealed itself
Always the way.
Signed log and placed it back. TFTC!!
