Today we headed out from our base camp at Geeveston for some caching along the coast to Dover. We had a lovely afternoon. The weather wasnt brilliant but the heavy rain held off until we got back to our Moho.Only 2 dnf for the day, 5 AL and about 10 finds so happy with that. Imagine Dover and surrounds would be pretty hectic on a lovely summer weekend.TFTC nice quick find here in the first place I checked.
Very dense black berries this time of year, may be concealing location. I will come back in a few months to get it
Im having a couple of weeks off and Im spending the first few days down in the South of Tassie to find 8 different types, 25 of one type and also any LGAs that I come across to help fulfil a few of the challenges that Im working on.Also Im trying to keep my small streak going to beat my last streak of 67 days. After spending the night down south Im heading back towards Hobart to see where I end up for the night.Stopped in at Waterloo and I will admit that this one took way longer then it should have but thats a me problem.A nice view of the area from down here. Thanks red tag TFTC.
Looked high and looked low but too many blackberries and also raining, so slippery. Maybe next time. Thanks
Stopped for a visit to Waterloo. What an amazing day. Winter has hit, but who cares.thanks for the smiley
A beautiful spot. The container was very brittle and the lid was broken so we replaced it with a nice new one. TFTC!

First find for the day caching with The X-Trailers. Had a coffee stop and enjoyed some blackberries closeby. Yummy!!!
Found while visiting the area while we tagged along with muggle brother who had a few commitments in Tasmania and we managed to have a short holiday too, we had some time to explore, thanks for showing us these views, We look forward to returning soon to add more smiles as this was a short trip, log signed and replaced as found, TFTC and the fun
Almost see it from the car. Yes it is in the rocks! Gotta be nuts - blackberries close by. Ps. You will find it in this area
"What a great View... at Waterloo" I was being spoilt by such a nice view all the time i was here so why do i have my head down in the rocks ha ha
A bit of a hint was discerned in the photo gallery as to where it might actually be. It 'sort of' helped and the cache was eventually found after about 5 minutes.

Took me a few minutes but that was just because I am short. Thank you loving traviling around finding all these beautiful places.
What a beautiful view, it was a great place to stop for a drink and a snack.

This was another one where we encountered a muggle but lucky for us we had found the cache ages ago and were just having a beer before heading home when we had to chat to a local for 10 minutes about fruit picking and COVID-19 before we could head off.
thanks for the cache.
As normal we didn't have a plan till late Friday and that was just an idea of the area we wanted search in, so the short list was Geeveston and Dover, and Hartz Mt, we picked to many caches for our day but that ok it just means we will have to come back to Dover another time.
We had a number of things that ate up time, with the first being how bad the road has got since we were last heading out to the car park at Hartz Peak, last time it was a smooth drive but this time the road had gained a few big holes and it wasn't long before we were stuck behind cars only willing to go at half the speed I wanted to drive at, second problem was the walk to P KP PC LP which took longer than we were thinking due to poor track and us stopping every now and then to take some stunning pictures, later in the day we called at a fellow cachers new block as we were passing and we also ran into muggles at a number of cache locations so we had to talk to them or wait them out so we could grab the cache.
This is all coming over as negatives but it made for different day, yes less cache finds but more fun and some interesting memories.

Thanks for the cache red tag. This is definitely a lovely spot. Took us a few minutes to find this one, had to be looking at it from the right angle - the coordinates are spot on. As the river was so still we then stopped to take in the view and snap a few pics. Thanks for giving us a reason to visit.
out and about with 1 Lil Rafa caching on a rainy weekend thanks to the only brief rain we had lots of dry hours to collect caches on this beautiful part of Tasmania, an expanded search found GZ in the end after higher ground was found. TFTC TNLN log dry.
Today, on a bit of a whim, we decided to head south to Geeveston and try our luck at spotting some platypuses, picking up a few caches in the area while we were at it.
After visiting Geeveston we decided we'd make a quick detour south before heading home, this cache being one of two that we picked up before heading north. Arriving at the GZ, we immediately figured out we had our work cut out for us, and understood why there were quite a few recent DNFs - there's definitely a huge number of potential hiding places!
We spent a good 20 minutes or poking through all the spots we could find, but didn't have any luck. With no hint to guide us, we tried digging through the recent "found" logs for any kind of clues, but still had no luck.
Given the lack of clues, we'd been relying pretty heavily on our GPSr to guide the search. With that approach failing, we concluded our only option was to widen the search. Fortunately a few minutes more searching was all that was needed, and the cache was soon in hand.
Upon signing the log, we did notice that at least one recent finder appears to have forgotten to sign the log.
Despite the challenge the cache posed, we definitely loved the location! The views to the north a pretty special, as is the generally peace and serenity of the area. Definitely a great location for a cache!
TFTC!

Lovely views across the water from here despite the weather being so bad. Short search before I hand the cache in hand. TFTC red tag
Found it today. Great view!! Thank you fot the spot. The gps wasn't working well at that place so hard to find it but it wzs my first experience with geocaching and i really appreciated it!
Took a bit for the gps to settle here, but was pleased to find and sign. Brilliant view of the mountains that our kids in Huonville call sleeping beauty. Took some photos, TFTC
We were here last year as new cachers and had a dnf returned today and looked with geo eyes and spotted it straight away! Gorgeous views. TFTC
Yes, what lovely views. Thanks for bringing us to another lovely area. Cheers
OH NO! Not a rock wall. We were concerned when we arrived, but as the cache was a good size, it was quickly located. Thanks for the cache.
Good water views , not far off the main road , On a quick two day tour of southern Tas with Swampy. TFTC
Found it eventually however
I think it makes it extremely hard without any hints due to gps being very inconsistent.

Hi there red tag.
We found your cache **"Water View"** at 9:47:00 L today. (This makes our grand total 18736).
Today we traveled south from our camp site, and ended up caching around Southport and Dover. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.
Thanks for placing a regular sized here. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this "special" cache.
Our cache count was 13 caches today, with 1 DNF's. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Over in Tassie "again" just about live here I'm over so often. Quick find before heading back home. Thanks red tag
Found it with my geohusband Elmdor OVA, easy find once at GZ. Thankfully because it is WET today!
Were really liked this one was a little bit tricky but we found it all the same We are HAPPY You were right it was a great view. We were all cold so I would suggest wearing warm clothing
I drive past this spot every day but have never driven down this road to the water. So peaceful, thank you.
We are enjoying our holiday south of Hobart. Doing some geocaching and found this one. tftc.
Heading down south, we took a quick exit to find this cache. Tassie. Ever for interesting at each turn, you can get a different view. We thought we had the hide reall quickly but the change of the compass had us in another area. I quick step back & geocaching eyes. We were able to mark the logbook with our name.

Fortunately the GPS was in form as there could have been a lot of hiding places! TFTC.
This was day 60 of our trip out of Sydney to visit the southern states of Victoria and Tasmania and was day 18 of the Tasmanian part.
This was a nice quick and easy cache to find as we just observed carefully and used some geo sense. After the log had been signed the cache was replaced as found. It was a lovely spot to have lunch and enjoy the water view. Thank you for bringing us here to this area and thank you for placing this cache for us and others to find. We are really enjoying our tour of Tassie and the variety of caches to be found as well.

Hi red tag; thanks for the cache. Jnr geoson picked this one off the website to go find, whilst we were out and about today; and so he found it with GPS in hand. My pet hate is people who start a fresh page in a logbook before the last one is used up; sorry, I obviously haven't passed that on enough to him yet!!!
The day is warming up, but the views all around were fantastic. Nice hide too!

Second time lucky here. Our GPS was behaving better and had us looking in the right place this time. Tftc
Windy and grey and after reading logs I think we were looking on the wrong place. GPS must have been upset.
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Staying in Geeveston for a few days. After tackling most of the caches south of Geeveston yesterday but not completing the 'list' today we returned to continue on.
Quite overcast, and a few showers which we managed to dodge, but we did see snow up at Mt Hartz.
We managed to find your cache as we travelled through the area. Loved reading the info on the cache page! Great view today too.

Spur of the moment drive down a side road. So spur of the moment i almost missed it. Pulled up the app to see if there was anything about and it turned out i was just about standing on top of it.
Cache may need attention soon, the container is cracking.

A nice quick find, slower to put away however. Just after grabbing and signing a cache a group of 4 yappy pooches came along. They stood there just barking at me. Not long after a lady came wandering near to her car. The dogs were too happy investigating the area, and didn't respond to any of their names. Ended up helping her wrangle the dogs into the car. Felt if i had just waited for her to do so herself i would possibly still be there the next day. Lol

Most folks (including the locals probably) would not know the origins of the name of this locality. Cachers do though! A quick find which gave us more time to enjoy the view. [Blue]Find # 1935. Thanks for the cache red tag TNLN.[/Blue]
