Due to cache constantly disappearing, the area being strewn with rubbish, used syringes, and empty alcohol containers, I am now going to permanently put this cache out of order.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Will either archive this or find a better hiding place where they don't chop down the trees!
Tree where cache was hidden has been chopped down so box was in the open. We badly hid one meter away under a rock but contents soaked and possibly needs relocation and maintaining.

Out night caching in the Sunbury and Riddells Creek region with my mate Blacklegend (Marshy). A nice quick find on a nice mild night. Thanks for the hide.
One of 31 on a night run with my good caching mate Marty (Quasar3671) this time in the Sunbury and Riddels Creek areas. Nice quick one. I actually had no idea that "The Ashes" were born here. Great to learn something new. TFTC.
Found on a caching day out with my mate Slink 1 that took in an event cache in Bendigo. SL TFTC
Found it after many circles of the area lol, was right in front of our noses. A bit soggy might need a little maintenance. Tnln thanks!
First find for the day on another caching day out with our friends vicbrady bunch and corza1993. Inside the cache was wet because the lid had popped off due to the cache being overloaded. Managed to rearange the contents so that the lid went back on more securely. TNLN, TFTC.
Following report of "old" cache found, I went and investigated.
Previous edition found and removed from location I never used.
New cache also returned to NORTH side of object, as per clue, to where I always intended to have it.
PLEASE RETURN THE CACHE TO ORIGINAL LOCATION ON NORTH SIDE AND HIDE IT WELL.

Found today while trying to escape the heat in the area with a bit of a drive around. Also gave us the chance to show some friends and their children this 'geocache' business! Took dice, left bottle opener keyring. TFTC.
We drive almost as close as we could to this cache.
Thanks again Blatherskite.

Due to recent listing of NOT FOUND, I will investigate this cache 10/10/2010 and replace if necessary. Please be patient.
No-one around, so was able to spend quite a bit of time searching for this one. Managed to find an empty ziploc, and a pregancy test amongst the accumulated crap, but no cache
We searched for a good 15 minutes everywhere the clue suggested but with no luck. Hope it's still there.
Spent quite a while poking around. A lot of rubbish here to sift through which was sad . Didn't find it in the end. Thanks
A quick and easy log whilst about to do a 6hr cyclogaine in Sunbury.

No-one here either. It must be our lucky day. I guess being a Wednesday does have some bearing on the lack of muggles in the area. SL. TNLN. TFTC
A nice hide for the kids to find, we thought it was rubbish at first but were rewarded by the cache!

easy find, Jester found the container a little hard to open, causing an explosion of swaps all over ground and Queen found this hilarious!

24th of September, 2009
New to the official world of caching but have been involved since 17th of April 2009 (my first cache find). But have only just gotten a log name. Time to log all the wonderful caches that I have been finding since I have been caching with The Empire. My name in the log book is H.
This was my third big caching day with The Empire. By this point, I had sort of developed an eye for spotting caching.
Found by me! Very happy face

Interesting to learn about the ashes history and its link to Sunbury - we're from north so always enjoy history lessons of this nature. Fortunately there were no muggles amongst the bushes today, Dad knelt on GZ but the Queen made the find. TNLNSL. TFTC
Found quickly by D who had gone into competitive mode. We wondered what all the racket was nearby, and saw hundreds of cockatoos take to the skies in their noisy way. It was quite a sight. TFTC.
Yay! Our 800th find. We didn’t know which cache this was going to be, as we were being selecting caches at random from our GPS. As it so happened, “A ‘Googly’ search†turned out to be our milestone cache! After the find, we posed with the cache, taking a group photo to mark this special occasion. Thank you Blatherskite for setting up this cache and for helping us make this milestone find.
Found at 2.25pm GAFF1 on our "Catch up with Sunbury and Melton" weekend in the company of Ian&Penny.
A quick find as we were passing by. There was no way that we were going to play any form of cricket today with the wind and drizzling rain - we thought we were tougher than those cricketers that pull up stumps at the first sign of rain and here we were battling through all of today's elements to find plastic boxes!
Thanks Team Blatherskite.

Located at 15:40hrs by 5 yr old geodaughter who is getting hard to beat when it comes to finding the treasure!! TNLNSL. Thanks for the find.
This one took quite a bit of time to locate. It was around sunset, and while there was still light in the sky, it was starting to get dim. After a bit of prodding it was finally found. No exchange was made. Thanks for the cache.
3.38pm Finished a very successful caching day with Lumeah with 13 out of 13 finds!!! A nice easy drive by to finish with ( log book was a bit wet) Thanks TNLN

It's always nice to have a quick driveby when you're doing you first caching visit to an area and have lots on the itinerary. Today, I was able to leave the engine running while I quickly found and logged this one - kind of made up for another Blatherskite cache which I couldn't get to because of muggles.
TNLN
Thanks Blatherskite - too bad you didn't identify yourself when you spotted me later in the day - it's always great fun to run into another cacher!

We found our 3rd Blathershite cache at 3:40pm as the 24th of 40 on our Sunbury and Beyond Tour IV. Luckily for me, the cache was slightly exposed as these types of hides can be tricky. Not too many times we can pull 4 cache finds in 20 minutes. You would have to keep that rate up for 24 hours straight to nab 288 in a day. Thanks for the cache from D,H,H & A B-A.
Your googly certainly had us thinking down the wrong line, but the gps ensured no slips and we bounced straight to GZ. Hooked the cache at 5:35pm a spun off to look for some more.

We missed this one once before when we attempted it in the dark, but no problem this time. Monch Jr The Elder is very impressed that he's been to the town that gave birth to The Ashes, and I think he was imagining himself thundering in off the long run to bounce a few around Pommy ears while we searched. I keep telling him we need spinners right now, but I don't think the message is getting through...
