On a bit of a road trip (close to 2000km by the time we get home) grabbing some LGAs and adding to my smileys tho only finding a few in each major town other wise we will never get home as we only have 3.5 days
Our plan is just to drive and stopover at the nearest town to where we are when it starts getting dark. But we have on our list Katanning, Nyabing, Gnowangerup, Borden, Jerramungup, Ravensthorpe, Esperance, Grass Patch, Salmon Gums, Dundas area, Kambalda, Kalgoorlie, Coolgardie, Southern Cross, Westonia, Merredin, Kellerberin, Tammin, Cunderdin and finish off caching in Meckering
After staying the night in Kalgoorlie we are now on the next leg of our journey but a slow start to the day after a night visiting muggles sister before heading back to the motel
I was determined if I got at least one in SC it would be this one and thankfully it was an easy find. Saw the obvious hiding spot from the car just had to weave my way around holes to get to it (not so easy when normally not steady on legs anyway) but made it there and back in one piece
TFTC and bringing us out here even tho it was still extremely warm at 5pm. I do enjoy the outer town ones more then civilsation caches. Glad it's still here and in good condition
Replaced cache as found

We saw this one come up on a pocket query (but not on the current GC app) so thought we would give it a go. Lo and behold there it was, tucked neatly away.
What a shame this one is being archived. Why is that I wonder?

TFTC! Found during a 6-Day trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie, Esperance and back to Perth via many back roads and country towns. We found a huge number of caches, clocking up nearly 3000km for the entire trip.
The highlights of the trip have been picking up a bunch of old caches in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding towns, placed by some of Western Australia's first geocachers.
We ventured as far north as Leonora in search of our prizes even visiting a large number of ghost towns along the golden outback trail, some of the most amazing places I've seen in my life, see the pics if you want to know more.
During our trips out from Kal we think we visited nearly every gravesite or headstone in the region with the number of caches in and around cemeteries!
We completed a large amount of cache maintenance around the Kal area, with a large number of the older caches suffering with cracked lids, smashed containers, wet logs and alike. We planned to help about a dozen caches with new containers and ran out after the first couple of days. So if you're in the area please help out as best you can.
We also picked up a number of caches in Esperance placed by some of the newest cachers in the state, who seem to have so much passion and energy.
We ventured out to Cape Le Grande and picked up a few of the caches there, not quite being game enough to grab the views of hellfire cache but we grabbed all of the others we paid for our walking that night!
We even had time to place a couple of caches in my Country Cache series so please look out for them on your travels. Thanks to the locals who have kindly agreed to maintain them.
Thanks to all of the Cache owners for placing the caches that we found, hopefully you can place a few more for our next trip
Thanks
Love an archived zed cache. Always an interesting spot. In the words of Cravo "you can tell you're in the country, looking at the f***n flies! Cache still in good shape, tiny bit of moisture. Put a lighter rock back on top so as not to crack the container as it become brittle over the years to come. Thanks zed

Went on a trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie down to Esperance and then back to Perth. Spent 6 days finding, hiding and even maintaining caches along the way.
The majority of caches were found easily and in good condition even some archived ones.
Took a few travel bugs and placed along the way.

Third (and final) day of my loop through the Eastern wheatbelt. Can't do any more for a while 'cos the cricket starts on Saturday and that's me stuck in front of the telly for the next month. Found this one today at 17:00. Nice hide, but fairly obvious camo, so nice quick find. TNLNSL TFTC

Day 1 of our trip over to the Oz Mega event in Murray Bridge. Left Perth in the wee hours of the morning and drove just about non stop here to Southern Cross. This one wasn't on the "To Do List" but we detoured out here to grab it. Thanks for bringing us here ZED!
Great spot to take some photos. Somewhere I never would've visited without the cache. Thanks very much!
[:(!] Went for a long weekend (WA Day) caching run to Kalgoorlie and back spending two nights camped at Coolgardie, on our third day we are now heading back to Perth and picking up some caches along the way and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked the rest of the way, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Still travelling around the countryside with The Machman. We only decided last night whilst camped at Karalee Rocks to continue on into Coolgardie.
Leaving Coolgardie behind and after a detour to Marvel Loch it was time to head out towards Baladjie via these few other caches.
It was 5.15pm by the time we got here. What a great place, almost camped the night but decided to push on [xx(]
TFTC ZED!
We hope to meet lot's more cachers at the July Event 'WA goes BIG in 2013" - GC45X55

Interesting reading the history and to see that the soak is still in good order. Didn't take long to spot the hide although approach was rutted with rabbit holes.

Arrived late at night and went exploring in the morning. Mr M said he was in need of salt so Mrs M went for a walk and soon obliged. Interesting place and a quick find of the cache. Took gemstone and left a walrus who was missing the salty ocean. TFTC
Another of Hunt's wells. Don't remember learning about him in our history, but we should have.
Bit cold at 6:30 in the morning and the sunrise over the lake was not worth it.

Another very interesting piece of WA history included in this cache. Those times must have been so hard (in comparison to today). The cache was very wet, but we retreated (due to flies) to the Prado and dried/wiped out what we could. T: US $1 and mini light (to dry out), L: 2 clamps and a keyring, SL. and left the container dry inside. Also left the container angled to allow any water drainage. Thanks for the cache.
Southern Cross, our last overnight stop before home from our wildflower & caching run around the midwest and the goldfields for the past two weeks.
Had to rush this one to avoid the flies and rain about to come. A great spot would have been nice to linger. TFTC TNLN SL

Went for a walk up along the edge of the salt, throught the srub and then found the cache. Grat area to visit and a good hide. Thanks again ZED! for another great place to visit.
Had to make this a quick find because the flies were just a little too friendly. SL TNLN TFTC
This is a lovely area, especially in the still early morning with the intense reflections off a highly salty lake. A quick find. TFTC ZED!
Nifty hiding place, a nice break from driving. Found it with the Clarke Adveturers!

In this day and age it's really hard to imagine what these early explorers had to endure. The thought of sitting in camp waiting for rain so you could get a simple drink of water would be a test of any man's spirit. Today we drove up in an air conditioned car with a fridge full of ice cold ales and our biggest challenge was to find a little plastic box which by the way we did quite easily.
Many thanks for the cache and the history behind this location

WanderingAus wandered by on day four of a four day cache placing run into the wheatbelt. It was supposed to be a six day trip, but after the tyre disaster at GC17QKZ Colreavy by nobodyZ I chose to cut the trip short. After retrieving my jack I decided to make one last find on the way back to Southern Cross and then home. I parked about 35 metres from the cache and made a very quick GAFF 1 find.
My find No 2055, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped Ryan's Take a Kid Geocaching GC No 2 (ref = TB31WZF) and my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing them back again.
