Thanks for the cache! The view from this spot must be great, but onfortunately the weather was not so good. Also a lot of people seem to come here to dump their trash. Such a pity, because it really looks like a nice spot.
Today, I was out in the geomobile heading North, in order to visit the Tin Can Bay area. This region has been on my hit list for a while, as there are two caches here that I need in order to qualify and complete a challenge cache. I started the drizzly day off in the Kia Ora area, working through Toolara Forest and Wallu, before arriving in Tin Can Bay for morning tea and some tree fishing. I then went over to Cooloola Cove, passing some caches on the way and doing a bit of wading in town. I then went to Rainbow Beach, passing Great Sandy NP and Seary's creek as I drove North-East. I then arrived to be greeted by constant rain, gale force winds and the occasional flash of lightning. Not the best conditions but at least it made all my searches muggle-free. I then rounded the day off heading up to Inskip Point to grab the new multi up there, before returning home back the way I came, down the M1 via Gympie. A great day for an overcast one!For my next cache for the day, I parked up at one of the nearby entrances and made my way in on foot, as I would be in big trouble if the warthog got bogged in the mud along here! I enjoyed this area, some great views and I do love this heath environment. Whilst here I did manage to spy a lifer for my birdy checklist; a Spotted Pardalote high up in a meleuca tree! Though once at GZ, I quickly uncovered the container and signed in. I dropped off two TB's that I have had for quite some time now, and continued on my way. Thanks for the cache gerrynewgirl/TeamJLBL!
Thanks! What a beautiful spot! Our little dude enjoyed playing with the toys
The track had lots to pot holes full of water so l walked to the cache 206 metres but l didnt feel safe had a good look around but didnt find the cache l would had search longer in I had someone with me.
We had the opportunity to spend some time exploring the region and were lucky to have perfect winter weather for it. We visited some wonderful sites, enjoyed some spectacular views and discovered some interesting history along the way. We found an entry point and drove a short way in off the road before deciding to park and walk the remaining distance. Great views from here. Cache found after a short search. Thanks TeamJLBL
Found neatly tucked away all safe and sound. No TBs in residence at this time. TFTC
TeamJLBL I found your cache Cooloola Views TB Exchange on 29/6/2024, 11:50AM. This is my find 6771 and find # 3 today. Eventually found it about 20 meters from GZ. Luckily muggles didnt throw it in the fire. Replaced where I think it should be hidden. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
TFTC Thanks for bringing us here, great view, track in had very deep puddles luckily we had a Landcruiser
Also found this cache before heading to Maryborough. Chose to walk about 170 m along the track. Great views, considered dropping a trackable with an interest in mountains and views but it was a fraction large for the container. Thanks for keeping this cache going as well TeamJLBL.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Team JLBL [^]
We followed the tracks to GZ, where we were treated to terrific views of the vicinity and bay. We then went searching for this cache, and it wasn't long before we had it in hand; The cache container and logbook were in good shape. No TBs in residence at the hotel today. Thanks gerrynewgirl for the cache placement, and [TeamJLBL](https://coord.info/PRZVVGN) for its ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 12/2007 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest yet active geocaches.----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, it was our final day for our Maryborough trip, and [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) and I had final ambitions for a few remaining *Big Aussie Day Bash* series geocaches that we had yet to visit, and then circling back through town for one last time. We enjoyed seeing Queen's Park and had a late morning tea, and it was on to the Beaver Rock series. A few interestingly themed geocaches using our TOTTs, and then we returned home via the eastern ocean route before going through Gympie. There were a few interesting seaside towns visited, such as Maaroom, Boonooroo, Tin Can Bay, and Cooloola Cove.
Awesome views from here.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Popped in to look for this one while in the area. No 4-wheel-drive accessible caching for me unfortunately, but I was able to drive most of the way for this one before having to walk the rest of the way due to a very large puddle of water that I wasn't going to take the chance to drive through in my vehicle as I was alone.
After admiring the view, and wondering who was on the yacht in the distance, I set my sights on finding the cache. Container is in good condition and contents were dry.
I decided to take the TB as I am travelling quite a bit over the next few weeks. We will see some sights before I find the next home for it.
TFTC ... would never have known about this lovely spot otherwise ...

Wow, what a beautiful spot, I decided to park the geomobile a little further and walk to the cache. After a few photos of the scenery, a quick find was made. Tftc TeamJLBL ️
A quick detour off the main road into this hidden gem of a spot. Wonderful views and a cache as well. We took the tassie devil TB to continue its adventures. Last find for our family holidays. Well worth stopping for. FP for the great lookout location.
One final older cache to complete the day. This was truly a stunning location. A muggle and his old dog were enjoying the spot immensely having set up camp. With a quick ‘hello’ and explanation, a some pats for the dog, we wandered down the obvious track and made the find. The muggle had wondered where the track led as he had explored hoping that it led to a good photo spot and couldn’t work out why it ended where it did. .
Last cache collected today after a great Aussie day out with JACS and Gcoven. Even better to finish with a liberated oldie.
Approaching GZ there was a camp set up overlooking the Cooloola views and the cache. Fessed up to the camper who knew about caching then set his old lame dog onto us. The dog limped after us, desperately wanting to gum us up. A few well laid pats pacified the dog to enable the cache to be signed. Thanks to all for maintaining and keeping this oldie active.

Just a spoonful of sugar l helps the medicine go down! A Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day with JACS and ARF to finish off the brolly. Grabbed some challenges and other interesting ones on the way. Caught up with chamad and triple turmoil to join in his 15 loop milestone. The extra long pole belonging to ARF was certainly an asset along with his and JACS super sonic vision. Special day indeed. Friends make the world a better place. Let’s go fly a kite!! Had a chat with the free camper and his very old dog! She tried to walk down with us!
A beach adventure awaits!! With a fantastic convoy of TMZ59 - driver extraordinaire, Pirate Linda, Patrol14 and Peppa and Beardman75 and Captain Vimes and Davenells - inspo for the trip, we were off and running, well, driving actually.
Fantastic day for Geocaching.
What a view!!

Dropped a TB to continue his journey and enjoy the lovely Cooloola views while he waits. Been to Rainbow Beach lots of times and never pulled into this place. TFTC
After our adventure up Teewah Beach to Double Island Point, our convoy of geocachers are on the bitumen finding a few more caches in the area. Stopped for this cache and admired the view while signing the log. Returned as found.

The mega crew is all together for the day. With TMZ59 at the helm we feel confident to tackle all obstacles 4WDing can throw at us today.
Davinells directed us onto the track in and we were able to park close and make a quick find. Thanks for the fun TeamJLBL
Davinells had a plan… that plan involved getting some like minded peeps into a trio of 4WDs and driving north from Noosa North Shore to Double Island Point… Having finished in Great Sandy National Park, there’s time for a few more on the way out….
This is where the groups radio communications became invaluable… Roger, Roger…

It is caches like this one why I like geocaching so much. A beautiful spot hidden by trees just off the main road. Co-ord spot in, and cache in great condition. Thanks so much for bringing me here.
We have been able to adopt this older cache from gerrynewgirl. It has needed a new container for some time now, so today we visited the cache for the first time with a new container in hand. Container replaced with 2 TB now in residents and some pathtags for the next visitor.
On the drive back from staying at Inskip point we stopped to grab this one. It took me a little bit to narrow in on it. The lid on the cache is broken.

Don’t know about the TB being changed here, But there was a cane toad in residence of the cache. The lid is broken so it needs to be replaced. Thanks for the views here.
Awesome views up from this vantage point, Just a shame the container is broken and will need to be replaced. Its holding out okay for now due to its camo, but it wont last too much longer. A maintenance run needs to be completed here.

Caching has never really been about the numbers. I drive generally over a thousand km's a week (some for work, some to explore, some for the kids, and some just because I have to) so there's always a cache or two to break up the drive. Having said that, I also enjoy numbers, fulfilling challenges, and quirky statistics. It's for this reason, I'm going to aim to fill my dates found and dates hidden this year, and a few other challenges in the local area.
Camping up at Inskip for the week and there's not many caches that are dog friendly up here so we didn't grab many, but this was one that we did. These are some cracking views! Nice easy find with the kiddos, and left a trackable to continue it's journey.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **gerrynewgirl**

Found with misssusan and our friends called the mugglemoores. Nice quick find with a beautiful view. Tftc
Staying down the road in Rainbow Beach and was up early this morning so headed to this cache. Nice views from this area, the cache was found without too much trouble and covered back up once the log was signed. Tftc
A quick find today on the first day of my 3 week road trip.
Thanks gerrynewgirl for the cache.
Thanks gerrynewgirl for the cache.
Note to self… Always trust your GPS! I was a little concerned due to recent back burning but with cache in hand and the local QPWS looking at me strangely (I was mid grab and writing) I could log a nice little find. Team Ireland, BOOYAH!
