Hitting up Collector on the way back from Tallong apple fest. First find
WesternSydWanderer spotted this one quickly after our coords were a little off and had us looking in another area.TFTC
Little stretch of the legs after a lovely coffee at the cafe. Thanks for the cache!
Just in Collector for a day with my girlfriends and some geocaching. This was a super cute find! Tftc!!
Having been at the Lake George CITO this morning, I started working on the nearby Adventure Labs. Next thing I know, Im in Collector! What a great little town!!! I cant believe that, with the hundreds of times that Ive driven between Canberra and Sydney, Ive never visited here before. I popped into yurt adjacent market selling local produce, and now Im having a Reuben sandwich at the cafe. And I picked up this cache! Thanks, Tankengine
Nice little town Ive never visit beforeIve drank a fair bit of Collector wine in my time but never visited this placeWe managed to almost pick all caches in 1 visit Pretty good playground for cachers like usThanks TE
What a beautiful little town! Stopping in with Baristayan on our way up to Sydney for the races tomorrow, and thought wed better check it out. Thats some pretty cool bush ranger history! Thanks Tabkengine
Out n about with m4yb grabbing some caches. The official Capital GeoBash is over, but the caching continues! Thanks for the hide & Tankengine
Megawat60 and I are still in Canberra after the Capital Geobash! The weather has turned a bit yuk but we are still caching! Quick find, nice cache, thank you!
On the way home from the Capital Geobash in Canberra, MavEtJu and I decided to pay a visit to Collector to enjoy the caches and AL here. Parked right near GZ and the very popular cafe. The place was pumping, where did all these people come from?
Out and about finding some caches on a beautiful sunny day with some new geocaching friends. Thanks for bringing us here.
Yay. Mega week has finally arrived. Didnt get much caching done at the hometown Adelaides Leap Year Mega. The minute it was announced I booked my single room. Then, muggle husband decided he wanted to come. Mmm. We all know that means .. less caching, so targets had to be sought. But at least theres a vehicle. This cache is a target. Mostly challenges and virtuals (to meet another challenge of course) found on a day trip to lake George while waiting for the fog to clear with sea eagleGotta love a smiley face on the map. Thankyou for placing and maintaining it.
Caching around the area, enjoying the great weather.A dnf here for us back in 2021. Glad to say it was found quickly this time.Signed and replaced as found. A favourite point given. Many thanks for placing this cache, Tankengine, for us and others to find.
Find No: 9270. Down from Newcastle NSW, in Canberra for the Geobash MEGA, thanks for the cache Tankengine!!
*In the area with woolwood9 heading to the MEGA Event.* ????We cached from Sydney to Canberra, then after the MEGA, up through Yass, Cowra and Bathurst to return to Sydney.*We had a great 3 weeks and enjoyed finding many good caches.* ????We soon had the container found!SL *tm/ww NZ**Thank you for putting this cache out for us to visit!*
Over in the area heading for Canberra to attend the Easter Mega with tmann421Tons of caches done while here and this was one of them.Enjoyed the touring around and all the containers foundLog signed tm/ww NZThanks for the placement and the effort put into maintaining these hides for us to find.??????
I came to collector with the aim of clearing out all of the caches here and I was successful today. Nice little sleepy town and I felt almost like I had the whole place to myself which was great for caching. A lot of cool spots and some neat caches were found while I also did the AL. This cache is in a spectacular container and I appreciate the etching of the cache name.

#3777 Parked up top on the main road and picked up an AL while giving the Geo-hound a quick break from the car. Wandered on down to the cache and had DeadThief keep an eye out while I retrieved, logged and replaced. Cheers Tankengine.
Quickly stopped by the cafe to grab Mr 12 a snack before starting the Marvel series. Quick stop and grab whilst we were in the area. TFTC

OCW Calypso62 for a weekend in the Snowy Mountains.
We are on our way home and collecting a few caches on the way home.
After reporting a DNF we came back to take another look.
Looking for a "The container is a small 200ml container, so only tiny swaps will fit." in a "wobbly post", We found Bison Tube attached to the fence railing. There is no Wobbly Post.
I signed the log and placed back as found.
Maybe the CO could update the cache information so that you are not put off my looking for something that is not there.

We have driven past Collector so many times but never stopped. Today we finished mountain biking in Canberra and headed north and thought why not! So we stopped off - what a nice little town it is. Anyway the cache was quick and easy and handy for the local cafe. TFTC

On the way down we stopped and did some caches and AL's.
No luck today.
Fence looks new.
Can the CO please take a look?

No sign of a cache here. But we found two containers at nearby cache “The Bushrangers” so we think it might have been moved there. Liked exploring this quiet town though.
We are travelling down from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Canberra for a 6 day (5 night) holiday, staying in a park cabin at Alivio Tourist Park in O'Connor, and planning to explore the areas around Lake Burley Griffin, old & new Parliament House’s, the Australian War Memorial, Questacon, the Carillion, Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, and areas around Canberra Airport and maybe out around the Kowen Forest if time permits. Have solved most of the CBR Wherigo Puzzle series and numerous other Mystery/Puzzle caches, so will hopefully get to some of those, and will do some of the Adventure Labs, Virtuals, and EarthCaches in the areas we visit. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.
Today we are on our way back to Sydney, but still managed to find some caches along the way. Started the day with some challenge caches and a Virtual cache at North Watson, then collected some of the CBR geo-art Wherigos out toward Majura and an EarthCache plus some Adventure Lab stages at Lake George. We then stopped off at Collector for an Adventure Lab (plus AL Bonus) and some Traditional caches. This was the 37th of 50 finds for the day (day 6), and 190th find of the holiday.
After completing 2 Adventure Lab stages we next came to this Traditional cache, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ, after avoiding the nearby beehives. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Tankengine.

So, I just had a steroid injection in my heel to sort out the constant pain and stiffness, I was warned 'do not walk on it'. Aquilus1 had just had her 4th covid shot the day before, could not move her arm at all and was in constant pain.
It was raining.
Therefore, we should embark on a caching trip, and thats what we did.
We meandered around the fedral highway to Mittagong before diverting to Kiama in search of a fast car charger that was actually working. Did lots of labs, multiple virtuals and the odd trad we were already driving past.
On the way back really found out how battery draining driving up the escarpment was.....but there was no stress really....still had 2% battery when I plugged in at Sutton Forest. All and all a great little loop.

Nice stop on the way back to Sydney from the snow. Cafe doing great food, quick service. Good produce available too.

A quick find after lunch at the nearby Cafe. The cache is not near the bee hives. Log is a little damp.
The cache was found after some searching in the wrong spot, there are some bee nests near GZ so be careful. TFTC
Found it! The cache is no longer a Tupperware container, and there isn’t a wobbly post, but it’s in the same location and it’s still a small cache. The log book says it’s the temp cache for this geocache. And the log book is a little damp after the recent rain (but still sign-able)
We did not find anything wobbly and at GZ there are two beehives we did not want to disturb.
Another DNF as the views hives were intimidating and we couldn't see a wobbly post.
With 2 bee hives in the area, the search was made a little harder.
Sadly a DNF here, for us today.
Thanks for the hunt anyway, Tankengine.

Out orienteering nearby and thought I’d pick up a few caches along the way. Great little town. TFTC.
We returned today to make amends from a DNF from 3 years ago. A new etrex certainly helped make this a quick find. TFTC Tankengine
Came here for lunch and got a cache and AL + BONUS. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to Tank engine.

Found out on a caching day in Collector. Not so wobbly but found without issues and signed the temporary log. Thanks for the cache Tankengine
While heading south with ilook4geo we stopped in Collector to pick up a few of the caches in the town, which was mostly very quiet. This was a nice easy find and the log was soon signed and we were on our way. Thanks go to Tankengine for placing this cache.
Out for some caching while on a trip with goingplaces2. It was a successful find to add another smiley to the tally. TFTC.
Out with Youban, Tankengine, Aquilus1 and Delta Response Team.
We had seen the new AL Bonus was still unfound, so we headed to over after the CITO in Hall to see if we could get it first.
While in town we thought that we might spend the day collecting all the caches in Collector.
It was a little disappointing to see this one gone. But luckily for us we had the CO there and luckily for him Aquilus1 and a spare cache in hand. So we were able to replace and find. Tftc Tankengine!!!

We had a few hours to fill for the day, and a need to be out and away from it all. So after a bit of thought we decided that a trip to Goulburn for lunch with a side trip to Collector for a few caches would work well. A lovely day weather wise and with the country side all lush and green made for a nice drive. I have never stopped in collector before and found it to be a nice little town, no one about any where but at the cafe, must be good as it was a busy place! After a quick lunch we had time for a few caches locally before heading back into Canberra.
All caches found easily and in good condition but the one DNF, focusing on basic member caches so we could both sign and log. Thanks for the cache Tankengine, made for a nice day out.

It was nice to deviate off the Hume Motorway to drive slowly through quaint, sleepy, historic Collector. Easy find with helpful hint. OCW MaxAdventurer and Baxter360. TFTC Tankengine
