We had a most enjoyable day walking around Shakespear Park but were disappointed to have to log 3 failures overall. The waterfall was gentle today and the sound of chainsaws in the vicinity rather shattered the tranquility.

Having had this on my watch list since it was placed I was happy to finally be at GZ with none other than Budokan to witness the find.

Waterfall was roaring today so this is a cache that should be done after rain. Fantastic spot.

Highly recommended cache, as all of Budokans are.

I didn't strictly find it but I ordered the soldiers of my Army Reserve unit to do so. We had been doing counter terrorist search training at Whangaparoa camp and this made a fun diversion for them after some more intense activities (ie no booby traps to contend with).

Out for an afternoon of caching with Indiana Jill, Kayaknkiwi, and Bookworm Mum. Nice and easy walk to the GZ. Glad we had the hint. Did this on the way back from Pretty in Pink final, so first idea was to walk back. But no, the details were in the car at the campground and the thing was somewhere close to the interest. So back to the car and parked by a sign pointing to Waterfall Gully. But, hang on a minute, the sign points in an opposite direction to the GPSr. So back in the car to the start of another track: No, this track is leading the wrong way. Closer still to the entrance of the park: this looks better. Parked on the side of the road - walked down the next track to find, that it leads really close to the actual Waterfall Gully park area. Anyway, the cache itself was nice and easy after that! Left 'Unite for Diabetes' travel bug. Thanks for taking us past all these wonderful trees to the waterfall, which needs a bit more volume..
