Needs some attention, container is cracked and water is getting in. Also the area has been cleared a little and it was out in full view.
Found it! Another solo grab by Mark on his way back to Creswick after some time back in LaLa land (Melbourne). Easy grab as the cache was not hidden at all and some nearby works have cleared the area somewhat. As with the last finder, I found the cache 1/2 full of water and the log a bit soggy. Managed to sign it without wrecking it and gave it a bit of cover, but will also log at maint as it needs some love. TFTC
Found on way home from Melbourne. Just grabbing a couple of bottles of geo-wifes favourite wine. Quick find.
Kids tried this one by themselves. Were a bit bush wacked. Tftc

Found ok, but as suggested by other cachers contents are damp. Besides that a great hide, tftc.
This one was too close to pass up as we were at the TB Motel and came on over here. A very interesting spot coming the way we did, must call into the nearby business for a session one day.
*****A quick find, but the whole inside of the container is wet. We managed to sign log, but it will need to be dried out or replaced.
Thanks whitejaegar

On our way home from the Ballan Autumn festival and finally had the time to stop and look for this one after driving past many times. I pulled over to the side of the road and decided to take the longer path around the embankment rather that straight down it. My GPS had me in the middle of nothing but when I stopped to look I quickly spotted the partiality concealed cache. I quickly signed the log and covered the cache again before heading back to the car. I might have to come back another time to visit the winery here. Thanks for the cache.
Tried looking for this last year and my pathetic phone took me to the stone wall and I looked all around for it but to no avail. Since then I have learnt to master my GPSr and this time we found it!!! To think I was 58m off GZ previously.... TFTC
A nice easy pick up on the way home to Ballarat today with my geokids (aged 4 & 5). Log is a little damp. Many thanks for the cache and giving us an excuse to stretch our legs
Were driving right past after completing the Spartan race nearby.. And despite aching and bruised bodies we decided we couldn't not do this cache too. Parked in the nearby winery and a short, painful walk to gz...
A quick find when we got to GZ. Turning into a very warm day for visitors from Tassie, glad we had our snake stick in case. TFTC
Found. All wet.
Cache container has changed. Clear sandwich box.
Thankyou!

In the area to go kayaking at Pykes Creek but to closing thunderstorms made me rethink that plan so hunted nearby caches instead. Parked opposite this one and took on the long grass and bank to get to GZ where the cache was found quickly. This one is still damp and could really do with a good dry out - just not today! Thanks to whitejaegar for this one.
A quick find today after doing the Pykes Creek Res caches. Unfortunately the cache was half full of water and the log slightly damp. I emptied the water out, but it probably needs airing on the next cacher's visit.
Thanks for the cache whitejaegar.

After a day on the lake trying to do a bit of kayak-caching (which wasd no good due to the wind) together with Ostara74 and Pathfinder24 we were headed back to our gz, but got a bit sidetracked on the way since our garmins were calling out unfound caches to us. This one we managed to overlook when we were at the vineyard( too much winetesting maybe ) but after a stop on the other side of the road for a different cache we decided to drive back and get this one. Ostara had this from before so only two of us signed in.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Norway

Ostara74, Ellesaich LouiseAnn, LouiseAnn's partner and I headed for the Pykes Creek Reserve armed with kayaks planning to get some of the water only caches in the area. The plan was soon changed when we arrived, the wind was very, very strong and the water was very choppy. This made Ostara74 and Ellesaich a bit nervous. We decided to try for one cache, just across from where we put in. After a long but reasonable uneventfull paddle we were at the GZ in question but we were unable to get onto the shore to find the cache due to the on shore winds and the chop and wake from power boats. We returned to the cars and had awodnerful lunch instead. After Lunch we packed up said goodbye to LouiseAnn and her ever patient partner and we headed for home. However, we were quickly distracted by a winery close by, and after visiting them, we were inspired to take a more seanic route home and find some caches on the way. We headed back to grab this cache. A quick walk from the car and we soon had the cache in hand and the log book signed. This was cache find number 3 of 6 for the day. Thanks for the cache, whitejaegar.
Two of the hunting party. So many rabbit holes, lots of tromping in the heat so off to a local business for some refreshments
first for our short weekend camping trip into wombat. we collapsed the main tunnel of a rabbit warren and almost lost dad.
Found it. A lot of water was in the container but everything was dry still.
Thanks
Thanks
The GPSr had a bit of a hissy fit and directed us into the nearby business. I thought this can't be right, another reading and we were soon at GZ. TFTC whitejaegar.
Thanks for this little hide! Was thinking its nearly wine o'clock to be honest. TNLNSL
Found it with ljthrilla. Left geodog in the car here due to the traffic. TNLNSL TFTC
Lots of early morning dew meant we got wet feet getting the short distance through the long grass to this one. Cache had quite a bit of water in it [which we tipped out] but the contents were nice and dry in their zip lock bag. Thanks.
Thanks for the cache, cool cache. Found on the way home from Lake Dewar camp. Found pretty easily with Geodad.
A nice quick find after collecting Geokid from Lake Dewar Camp. Caching today with Tomstache. Thanks for the hide.
Found this one couple of months ago and forgot the log. My GPS had it recorded a smiley along with Western Highway TB Hotel which I do remember doing! Not exactly sure which day so will go back and check the log to get this date right. TNLN TFTC whitejaegar.

On our way up to Sovereign Hill for a family day out during the School Holidays, Trent decided that this would be a good place to stop and stretch ones legs. The fact that a cache was nearby was not only a planned stroke of genius but a bonus as well!!! We made our way down towards GZ, Campbell moved ahead and made the quick find.
Thanks for the cache whitejaegar!!!

Great cache! Was quite exposed when we found it. Have tried to cover as best as possible but bit a lot of camo around.
One of the first caches found on leaving Melbourne and big enough for a larger trackable. Left the Jeep from NZ. TFTC
I pulled up and started searching for this cache and a bloke came out of the winery to see if everything was ok . I told him what I was doing and he told me he sees people quite often searching for this cache and he doesn't have a problem with it . So if you come across him say hello and have a chat . Tn left a singing canary for the next cacher (pull the battery tag out) . Thanks .
Just picking up a few caches on our way home from dropping some lucky folk at Tullamarine airport, we found it at 4:45pm. Container was brittle and badly cracked on both sides, the log was absolutely sodden and un-useable after last weeks heavy rain. We dried everything with a towel, removed all the spoilt stuff, began a replacement log, put everything in a plastic bag but it seemed pointless to return it to such a damaged container, so we replaced it with our swaps holder, a 500ml plastic box. Not so sure it will be suitably waterproof but it's not brittle and should hold up for a while. SL TFTC whitejaegar it's the first time we've got off the freeway!
A nice quick find with good co-ordinates, but the container needs some TLC. TFTC TNLN
Nice easy find, and as the last cacher stated, log is wet! Picked up TB to continue its journey. TFTC
Cache container has a split running its length that allows water to enter, Log book is completely saturated and was difficult to sign, NEEDS URGENT ATTENTION!
The log book is soaking wet, think it needs to be made a bit more watertight
Found today on the way home from the 14+6 event at Ballan. Very difficult to sign log as noted in previous logs it is wet and is starting to go mouldy. The cache container is split. Took pen refills and left giraffe. Left friendship braid and TB. TFTC
I think the cache may need drying out It seems that in its attempt to become canonised it has been baptised and is so damp that pencil just tears at the paper ,so a little fortification is needed there TFTC whitjaegar
Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.

Sometime last night, while transferring bits and pieces from one vehicle to another for the school holiday car swap, something was missing...
Gah! My trekking poles!!
With her sister engaged in building sets for a school performance, it was just Short-stuff I needed to entertain for most of this first day of the holidays... so a quick blast along the freeway was as good a start as ever. At worst, we'd have a good picnic by the quarry.
After retrieving my trekking poles from a cache in Werribee Gorge, Short-stuff and I went in search of some fun hides in and around Myrniong.
With a small child in tow, I figured that the best place to park was near the winery driveway, so we could take the gentler approach. Short-stuff used her new compass while I followed the electronic arrow. Though cracked, the contents of the container are dry at the moment, but this could change rapidly if winter sets in again.

Found while driving home from Melbourne it's great to see a large cache for a change. The cache has a big crack in it and the contents are damp so needs replacing, we had no spare caches on us so were unable to replace it ourselves sorry.
TNLNSL thanks

Angus the great GeoWestie here. Thought we were through for the day but our muggle friend Trish drove down a service road and this one popped up. It gave me a great little walk as my Carer [Grey Nomad Lis Brown] could not scramble down the steep incline so we walked around the long way while Trish waited at the car. Really easy when we got there. Thanks for the cache.
En route to and around Ballarat to do a bit of exploring / caching. Thanks whitejaegar for hiding this cache for me to find today.
This was a nice quick stop on this cool morning. After signing the log it was a dash back to the warmth of the car. Thanks for the cache.
Quick drive-by, great co-ords.
Left lion TB at this great high location where he can look over the area.

First find of the day with hubby on a caching day out of Myrniong and surrounds. Nice easy one to start with and a beautiful flutter of butterflies came out of the grass as we walked through it. TFTC whitejaeger
Our Easter day trip to Daylesford continued along the freeway, but we couldn't resist a quick stop off to nab this cache as it wasn't raining any longer. Quick find at co-ords given, which is always a great thing. Funnily enough, all the talk about embankments - I didn't envisage the direction I'd be scrambling in correctly! Container in good nick, and contents fine. TN, but left Spongebob character figurine, and signed log. Returned to hide with its camo, and we were on our way. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here, whitejaegar. Happy Easter!
Our 5th find for the morning. Nice area around here. Thanks to whitejaegar for bringing us to this location.
Actually found this one several months ago and for some reason I didnt log it. I do remember having a good roll down the hill getting a few scrapes for my troubles. I did enjoy this cache. Thanks WhiteJaegar for bringing me here.
We were visiting the area to attend a Retrieving Dog training day at the nearby vineyard. After lunch while geohusband was working his dog, I decided to look for caches within walking distance. This was one of two found.

On the way back from Melbourne today we decided that we should pick up a few caches on the way home. A nice easy find to start the journey.
We used to go here quite often for a taste test. Of course the samples were huge and we always required a designated driver. A great little piece of paradise near such a busy roadway. TFTC.

Another legendary cache run by The Demolition Crew (myself, TrailRunning, Quasar3671 and Rebel Acts). We have dubbed it Ballarat Smackdown II. This was a huge run taking us all the way from near Cardinia, via the northern suburbs of Melbourne, to Bacchus Marsh and Melton and finally Ballarat. A massive loop, and over 100 caches for the run. The company was as always fantastic, a lot of laughs, good dinner, and great caches. Many thanks to all the CO's for the hides, without them we wouldn't have been able to find anything.
I was also the only one who needed this hide, so down I went for a quick find. TFTC.

No 9 of 11 for me today after deciding to do a blitz of the Myrniong area. Have often dropped into the establishment nearby and I can highly recommend their 15yo Tawny Port.
The cache was in the open, so I have covered it again but don't think too many muggles will be visiting this area anyway.
Thanks for the cache whitejaegar

nice one! a sneaky little driveby on the way back from Melbourne. Swapped a chilli for a st kilda player. TFTC
Left a fake chilli and picked up a green toy soldier and Geof Fox's card #30 to move on to another cache
Find 5 of 14 today while driving my brother from Melbourne Airport to Ballarat. "What, you need to get to Ballarat, nice day for a drive (and perhaps some sneaky geocaching...)". Would have been difficult without the hint as very overgrown area. Cautious of snakes - especially with 4 geokids and 1 geodog in tow. TFTC
Found on our way across to South Australia to tackle some of the power trails and series over there. We managed to pick up a few along the parts of the highway we don't usually get to travel.
This was our first for the day and we tackled the long grass to find a wet cache. TFTC
