A quick find on a lovely walk. Wind is starting to make itself known. TFTC Greetings from Adelaide
Just arrived on RI for a week of relaxing. Just as we arrived a sea fog rolled in and was quite dense. I brought the dog out for a short walk and with no one around, I made a very quick find. Thanks for the hide.

Check on this cache this morning.
Couldn't find the current cache, but found what I think was a long lost cache nearby.
Removed older cache, and replace with a new container and log.
The new container like it's missing brother, still has no room for swaps.
Ready to find & rock on!

I found this one many years ago so came back to check. It is in poor condition and may have be moved a bit away from the location given. I placed back where coordinates show.
So took the wife on a short break over Christmas and New Year, along with that came the mandatory lets find some caches each day.
Started just before Christmas down in Metung in Gippsland and explored the area as well as visiting the koalas on Raymond Island and the beaches of lakes entrance.
After that we spent a few days in Kilcunda and walked the George Bass trail as well as a visit to Philip Island.
A pretty great trip to relax over Christmas and New Year.
Ended up finding 50 caches and 3 new travel bugs as well as placing one... unfortunately I also had 8 did not finds which I think is a record for me.
The caches took me to some wonderful places as I got to see Koala's, Seals, Dolphins and heaps of spiders and creepy crawlies..
sorry for the generic log.
Thanks for the cache and the hide

We've just had a wonderful week visiting Metung, Lakes Entrance and Paynesville with a special trip to Raymond Island where we hired bikes and spent the day exploring and koala spotting. We were absolutely stoked to see loads of them in there natural habitat, ie: eating and sleeping and looking lazy. We also got to see an echidna. Really great to have such a nature fix after being cooped up in Melbourne during lockdown. TFTC
With the recent easing of lockdown restrictions we have taken the opportunity to get away again for a few days. Last time it was Lakes Entrance, and this time we have come to Paynesville, arriving yesterday. With good weather, albeit windy we decided to head over to Raymond Island and give the bikes a work out on the tracks and roads there.
It’s free for passengers and bikes on the ferry so what a bonus!
We headed right after leaving the ferry and from there worked our way round the island zig zagging back and forth to pick up caches along the way. On the way we encountered a range of roads but particularly enjoyed the more track-like sections with its patches of soft sand.
We didn’t see a lot of wildlife, but the mossies were abundant every time we stopped unless there was wind blowing. This meant we needed to be in constant motion to keep them at bay,
Our first cache on the island after a short ride from the ferry. Left the bikes at a seat and made a short walk to the point.
Some good views from here back to Paynesville.

Found it, unfortunately cache is really waterlogged. Drained some water out anyway. Beautiful spot and saw these swans just around the corner.
What a great view with the find. Such a pretty spot. Also found a koala skull ️ nearby.
No pencil with us unfortunately but a pic to prove we were here (with XanderK616).

Giraffe_legs was off manning a rescue boat for Marley Point Overnight Yacht Race so I thought I would come over to the island to get a few of the caches he got a few years ago. Tftc
Lyn knows about these caches and was right on to it.
A great view back to town.
Thanks for maintaining the cache.

Not found, but on the way to GZ I had a nice encounter with a kangaroo... only 5 m distance!
So it was worth it.
Please check the cache, it's the third DNF now.

We heard that the best place to see koalas is Raymond Island. We took the ferry and started walking. After a few minutes we spotted this cute animals sleeping in the trees. We also could see echidnas for the first time. Thanks for hiding and greetings from Switzerland.
What a lovely place. We should have listened to our seven year old who was staring at the screen. The adults were focus on somewhere to sit. Lol
Wonderful location. After spotting 26 Koalas we thought we could have a picnic. Unfortunately that was not possible with like a million flys around us...

We were nearly finished on Raymond Island and had many photographs of Koalas in the bag. I insisted on visiting this cache, because it promised a great view. We were not disappointed. The view is spectacular.
Many thanks for luring us to this spot.

Second of my Raymond island caches, actually second today. The cache was about 5 meters from ground zero. About to have some sailing lessons tomorrow.

Found this one by sea; a gentle paddle over from Paynesville beach. Made landfall about 37m from GZ, then a bit of searching and voilà! Tftc.
Schöner Ort hier, und auch den cache hielt ich nach kurzer Suche in meinen Händen. TFTC
Mooring in Paynesville during a sailing trip with Palomas2015 and Sailpogo. Not very lucky with the weather today therefore we decided to do some geocaching on Raymond Island. Seen lots of wildlife here wauw!

Our apologies for the delay in posting our log. Things have got a little out of hand recently & the backlog has become rather more of a "log jam".
Our thanks to She Me & the Dog for placing this cache for us to find (or occasionally not) on 02/08/2018. Further details (for earthcaches & the like) will be supplied to the CO once the jam has cleared.

GPS stopped working so had to find it the old fashioned way; bush bashing, determination and a whole load of luck!
Made the trip over to Raymond Island, with the idea of getting a few of the caches there. The longer we were there the more the rain threatened, until it eventually broke into misty showers, making a dismal day.
Thanks to the CO of this series, we enjoyed our visit here and finding your cache/s.

Out for a very welcome impromptu visit to Raymond Island with BigrobV today. I was so excited as we have been wanting to get here for ages! Unfortunately this cache while in a lovely area of the island looks like it is in the same area as someone’s toilet, disgusting!! The friendly swans were lovely, coming close by to say hello. There was no log to sign so we added some paper, hopefully the area is a little bit cleaner when the next cachers arrive.
Out for a semi last minute trip to Raymond Island with NoonaB for a caching trip on bikes, we have been wanting to get down here for ages and finally today was the day, thanks for the hide. There was no log book in this cache, so we left a few sheets of paper from a small pad for future cachers... also watch your step.. given the used toilet paper in the area looks like this was some ones toilet stop...eiwwww...
