This series is causing me more grief than many of my other caches, I no longer have time to maintain suburban micros. Thanks for all the logs

As with most of these adventures, this one started out as a query from LouiseAnn on the local Facebook Geocaching page about the conditions on the Bellarine Rail Trail, with its slew of new caches; she happened to be heading to Geelong and would have most of a day to kill. Her intention of just rolling along the trail until she ran out of time and energy appealed to a few others, so gmj3091, SirJ-Oz and yours truly invited ourselves along for a laugh. Or two. Or a number beyond that.

Well, 55 caches is a pretty good haul for a day on the bike with friends, but I still had a bit of time up my sleeve before I was expected at home, so I figured I'd chip away at the remaining caches for this series. This was closest to the trailhead, so I drove almost all the way up to the cache, ducked in to GZ and made an easy find. No tram picture, though, so I might need to drop you a line about it if I ever expect to get that final hide, vp4. Cheers and thanks for the smiley.

Found @ 8:46am, find # 2737.
Biggles1024 and myself headed down to Geelong for the day to attend the Christmas Smorgasbord of events, while picking up our unfound caches on the way and in between events. We were on our way to A Ripper Cam before the first event and stopped off at this one and made a quick find.
Thanks to vp4 for placing this this cache

Find #755

Stemicmitsar and I again teamed up for a trip to Geelong. Attending as many of the five Xmas events being held there was the purpose of our trip but naturally we wanted to find as many caches as we could along the way. Dodging the suspicious gaze of a muggle taxi driver we searched carefully and Steve found the hide quite quickly. SL TFTC

Found[Time to Find: 8 min] 07 December 2013 15:30:14 After first looking on the wrong building I followed the GPS to a better location and looking at the warm day and all those possible locations a nice long stich was used to help find retrieve and replace the cache in its hidey hole.

Found this cache as part of my caching trip with JAB's to Victoria's Mornington Pennisula and Geelong area. The 29 hours claimed 158 GC caches and 2 GCA trig points. Some great caches were found and the southern beaches were a highlight.

Decided to head on a Geelong adventure today, and nabbed 13 caches on the way. Lucky lucky!

Went for one look, didn't find it. Saw a few muggles over the fence with heavy machinery and decided to wait it out. Fortunately, they disappeared within two minutes and I was able to get down for a better look. Bingo! Extracted with no issues, signed, sealed, replaced. Cheers VP4 - I hope to return to finish the series one day!

What a good place to put a cache, being watched by all the "Spirits" while you do whats required.

8 months after doing the first one in this series, I eventually got to the 10th.
And in a twist of fate, it was the only one that required a return trip!
Last night I could see nothing, even though the clue and logs indicated where it should be. I returned today in daylight, and still needed a torch to look in the obvious spot. It's a grat hide, actually, but it seems that a previous cacher or a muggle kindly pushed the cache as far in as possible with a stick, trying to make this a difficulty 5. I needed a special tool to retrieve it - it was not even reachable at full arm's length.
The lid was also not replaced properly - the koala keyring left there seemed a bit too big for the 200ml container. It's closed properly now - just. And hidden again but not 1 metre in.
TFTC, vp4 -now to get that final!
** Find #475 on day 95 of continuous cacheing. Almost at the 101 target. **

This Labor Day long weekend marked a camping trip to Geelong for a gallivant around the countryside picking up a number of caches (69 to be exact). Unfortunately we couldn’t foresee the weather and with temperatures soaring into the high thirties, caching took a back seat between 11am and 8pm. This did provide us with an opportunity to rest up and do some night caching around the areas.

After setting up the tent and camp site after a gruelling 3 hour trip from Endeavour Hills to Geelong on Friday, we grabbed a bite to eat, then hit the road for a couple of hours grabbing a few caches around the Belmont area, even seeing a guy night flying an electric aeroplane, all lit up with LED’s looking like a UFO.

Saturday saw us caching out onto the Bellarine Peninsular towards Leopold in the morning before seeking refuge back at the caravan park pool, before once again venturing further out to Drysdale into the wee hours of the morn.

After a sleep in on Sunday, we made our way to the Steampacket Gardens to have a look around, also grabbing a couple of caches before heading to Melbourne to see the Storm play their first game. After a great dinner in Victoria St, we took the opportunity to have a great caching run winding from Laverton to Eynesbury across to Balliang then back down to Geelong once again finishing up around 2am.

Monday we packed up the camp site before venturing to do the fabled Mystery of the Fyansford Treasure Horde cache, which was also our 700th find!!

Pulling up near GZ, Katy went one way Trent the other, Katy coming up with the goods. The caching foo runs strong in this one remarked Trent.

We want to thank the CO’s for placing the caches, we had a blast finding such a variety of different hides.

Finding this cache required a certain amount of stealth due to muggle working on the spouting? of the building nearby. Managed to retrieve the cache, sign log and drop off TB and replace without being seen by the muggle worker - some trash was picked up on way back to car. I had met up with good mates (Justin and Joe) C@H and kellyhaunts earlier in the day for lunch and to re-live the second half of Woodlands 100 power trail (this time by bike).. Once the riding was over, we wanted to keep caching. Covert was has some great new software which compiles a list of unfound caches once cacher names are entered. The software works very well and we soon had a list of likely suspects, Down in the Geelong area.

This was one of them and we found just under 30 down this way for the night. The evening was mild and we had a great time. We stopped at a pub for a counter meal and a cider before dropping a munzee and continuing on.. Thanks for the cache and one of about 45 for the day (for me) and one of 129 for C@H and Kellyhaunts after they found 99 in the morning on pushbike, (and 1 did not find) thanks for the cache.
