Logs
This series is causing me more grief than many of my other caches, I no longer have time to maintain suburban micros. Thanks for all the logs
Well, it has been a very long time (2008) since I was at this cache,
After recently noticing that our TB had arrived in this cache I needed to head out and pick it up.
I left the TB in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in August last year and it has taken a bit of a journey around the world via France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Finland, and Estonia.
Finally it has made it to Geelong! 33,000km's later!
Woohoo!

This was really fun to find with me and my friend. The clue was helpful and it was exciting when we found it. Great but really short.
We went to Queenscliff to attend the Buried Treasure III - Scattered Gold event. on the way home we dropped by this cache and delivered a TB closer to its intended destination. Great spot and hide. Not many muggles around but with a couple of us there we shielded the spot as geo-daughter retrieved the cache. TFTC yp4. thanks for the information about the trams.
After several aborted attempts where we were foiled by the sheer volume of passing traffic, and particularly the cars full of watching muggles stopped at red lights, J was finally able to grab this one on a quiet post-Christmas Sunday afternoon.
Now to go and find that "safe place" I've put all the tram numbers for the final in this series
Thanks vp4

Found this cache awhile ago, sorry about the late log. This is muggle central during the daytime. I found this cache early on a Sunday morn when hardly anyone around. I visited pako street today & it reminded me of how busy this intersection can be.

Found[Time to Find: 1 min] 07 December 2013 23:12:25 Didn't realise that this was such a largish road system here until I just looked at the sat view. Funny how when it is late and dark and been a long day or two how things appear. Still a quick grab before moving on.
JABs.
JABs.
Found this cache as part of my caching trip with JAB's to Victoria's Mornington Pennisula and Geelong area. The 29 hours claimed 158 GC caches and 2 GCA trig points. Some great caches were found and the southern beaches were a highlight.
Not sure what was more fun, trying to hold onto my dogs chain while reaching the cache, or trying to not look suspicious looking for the cache. Turned super windy today just to add to the fun. thanks

Took a while to find with the constant stream of driving and walking muggles. Found where I thought it would be after checking where the GPS told be it was everywhere in between. Guess I should have used the force this time.
Thanks

Found its resting place as advised by a friend, however unfortunately seems it has been muggled.

I know I have an event to get to, but who can resist a couple of grabs beforehand?
The second grab of my visit to Geelong, and a little trickier than #1. Mainly because there's a constant flow of traffic nearby, but also due to the larger area that the cache could be hidden in and the vagaries of GPS coverage. The container was fairly quickly in hand and carted around the corner so I could sign the log.

A quick find today, after abandoning #10 due to muggles and parking frustrations. We parked, walked across the road, grabbed the cache, walked again, signed the log and then did it all in reverse. Thanks for the cache.
Took us a while to find this one but when we did we were gobsmacked by the ingenuity of the hide. Took nothing but left a button for a chef jacket. Cheers. Ramana+Willy
Day 2 of 31 day. Nice easy find, well lit area at night, lots of traffic. Found by geokid. TFTC.

2.15 pm Out and about with 80 degrees checking out a local hall for our state square dance convention to be held in August. Geelong is such a lovely area its a shame more people don't take the time to stop a check it out. The boys parked around the corner and Mrs 80 and I did the short walk. Gps had trouble settling but we soon had it in hand.
Thanks for the cache vp4

Found at 2.15 pm as we headed home from our day in Geelong to check out stuff for the upcoming Square dance convention. Had trouble getting GPS to settle but found regardless. TFTC
Very slow light changes here. Had cache in hand in the second place we looked. TFTCSLTNLN
at Geelong for ansa meeting today a cache run on the way home nice easy find first for the day thanks
Nice hide.
High muggle area had to wait for new set of traffic each time we wanted to make a move so as we give too much away

Found on the tail end of a caching trip with Lionjrb and fergzster. Took a little while to locate as it has experienced some drift so we pushed it closer to GZ. It will be just as easy to find and is hidden in exactly the same way.
Found on a night cache run to Geelong with Storchburp and Fergzter. Took a bit to find this one but as the search expanded it was soon found. TFTC.
Found on a night caching trip with LionJRB and Storchburp in Geelong. Another quick find. However we just noticed there are numbers on these logs for another cache. Doh! Why didnt we notice these on all the other in the series we had done tonight. Oh well. Moving along. TFTC vp4.
I think I have only one more of these to find. Found with Drooling 4 Cache after a great dinner at the Telegraph Hotel.
Visited today, the cache is still in its temporary status but is still there. The magnets should arrive this week so it will be back to its original configuration soon.
found it last week but was lacking a pen to sign in. Returned today to finalize it but was unable to get to it as the container and logbook are visible but out of reach...
We didn't read enough previous logs, and mistakenly headed to where our GPS was sending us. We found it very heard to be discreet in this spot as there are very few places to look and we were out in the open. We soon realised it mustn't be there, so we headed back to where we were a bit more sheltered.
After a bit of hunting around and crouching, we noticed something odd and there it was. We signed the log and got out of there , we had already been lingering too long. Thanks vp4.

Second time lucky here. What a place for muggles! Nearly impossible to use stealth here. Thought a Sunday morning would be quiet. Anyway, the co-ords put me a fair way away from the actual cache but the hide was obvious in the end. Unusual 'magnets'. TFTC
Found this one earlier but too many muggles so left the retrieval til dark time, I was coming back to Pako anyway to do a solid 3 hour lonely clean. So was nice to cool off with the slight breeze and a cache to finish my shift off! Cheers.
Another good hide in the series, took a little while to remove the cache container and sign the log because of the busy location, apart from that all good, TFTC vp4. TNLN
I forgot to make a note of the tram number when I siged the log, but as I don't expect to be back for another year or 2 I don't suppose it matters.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found quickly, and signed log. Swapped whistle for glitter. Enjoying the series. TFTC
T4TC! I need to learn to be a little more stealthy in such built up places, tried best to replace cache without getting busted =P
An interesting historical lesson. Good waypoint, interesting use of zip-ties to replace magnets!

Found this one late on a Friday night. Pub was busy but we got an opportunity and grabbed it. Great series, tftc!
What a busy spot indeed - took a few minutes and then cache was in hand - log soon signed and cache replaced when there was a lull in the traffic! TFTCVP4 and the challenge of finding and replacing it!
This one took a couple attempts as it seems like this intersection is quite popular! Managed a closer look late this evening and spotting what was out of the ordinary. Relied more on looking around the area than heading out onto the road where the GPS was pointing. Another in the series down, looking forward to getting the final. TFTC
deciced it was about time to get the Mesco series done so set of with ogrebeast and started with this one
Cache in a very obvious poition

as we had decided to do mesco series we headed out with teamranger and soon had this one in hand TFTC
In Geelong today with Geokid in the school holidays. The GPS was jumping around a bit. Geokid had it in hand. We moved away to log. Left an action man, took an action man (different one!). Replaced the cache hopefully discretely as there was a lot of cars around. Thanks for the info too.
Up and running using some existing equipment to hold the cache in place. I am waiting on some stronger magnets so the hiding place will be a little more obvious until it arrives. Your chance to find it easier than normal. Happy caching.
Found @ 2215 Hrs after course at the 'Gordon'....
No muggles around at this time of night making this a quick, easy find on a warmish evening in Geelong...
Took: Nothing
Left: Pathtag

#269 for us and the only one I found on my 50th Birthday...Happy Birthday to me....
In Town for a function at the kids' school and with some time to spare, I grabbed some stuff to eat from the IGA in Pako St and decided to do a quick scan for nearby caches. This one popped up and since I had to pass right by it to get to the school, it was a natural.
A short walk had me at GZ, where I spotted the hide within a minute or so. While loitering to try and figure out how to make the grab, my phone rang, which gave me inspiration and while I took the call, I managed to extricate the container and make it look like I was writing down some important message ! Cache replaced, phone hung up and on my way to school.
Thanks for the cache VP4 !

Same story as Mesco #1. Had no trouble with it this time so quickly signed the log and moved on to visit the old aunt.

Found these ones during a caching run, I'd spent the night with mates at queenscliff and grabbed a few in and around Geelong before heading home.. Thanks VP4 for the cache, find # 2188
Yay!! Third time lucky, go you this time you pesky cache. We decided to have a quick trip to Geelong this morning, for the other half to visit the vintage machinery rally on in town. This is perhaps not so co-incidentally, exactly one year since I found the first caches in this series. We parked nearby and I walked up to make the pickup, the cache was in the first place I look and was in perfect condition as should be expected given it was only replaced three days ago. I was very jealous of the large magnet you have holding it in place. Where did you get it? I think I might need some. Thanks so much for the cache vp4, and I am particularly glad to have this one off the list.
After having kept a careful watch on this cache since January, and my last DNF at it, I returned today to hunt, thinking it would be easy and I'd be on my way so finishing this series (only 3 to go) and I couldn't believe we couldn't find it! Again for me I think this cache is fast be coming my nemesis.
I have to walk across the road few time due my gps was playing up..
Wait for it to settle..
ah quick find with stealth as required

Snug little possie. Tricky to extricate without being noticed but we succeeded with a little patience. Tftc
Around midnight there's not too many muggles so it wass pretty easy to get the grab. Looked in the wrong spot for a little bit but still go it fairly quickly. Took beaver and left a frog. xxox
Whilst the find was quick on this one, the recovery and replacement took some stealth at 6:00pm with quite a bit of traffic and pedestrians to deal with. Managed it successfully though, thanks to vp4 for another good one in this series
