Deffinetly been muggled. Found this one a year ago and just thoroughly checked gz where it was before and it is gone.
GATE LOCKED...yep think as previous posts maybe should be archived ..
Geohubby tried to reach all angles to no avail ....all gates locked ..Yhanks for original effort anyway
Geohubby tried to reach all angles to no avail ....all gates locked ..Yhanks for original effort anyway
Agree with previous logs perhaps the scouts locked the gate deliberately to avoid geocachers!
As the owner has not been on since 2009 and as it does not appear to be in place, should we have to reach over a fence onto "private" property? The gate to the property has a padlock on it so it is obvious that we should not be on the grounds. Perhaps this one needs to be archived.
Had a look while kids swimming at the springs, pretty sure in the right spot and obvious signs of reaching over fence but I couldn't find anything. Mr spiderwebb also couldn't reach, so maybe we need to grow longer arms or ... repeating last logger's concern, is it actually still there? (As it is nearly a year since it has actually been found)
Third time I have tried this one. Today I brought something with me to help with my height issue so I could reach over as mentioned in previous logs. Still no good. So I give up either it's out of my reach or it is gone and I dont fancy clmbing over the fence. Thanks anyway

I knew where this one was, I just couldnt reach..!
I am from Queensland, but I aint from Longreach..!
Due to it being early sunday morning and not many people around, I had to jump the fence to retrieve.!

The taller of the 2y'stassies was able to reach over the fence and retrieve this cache quite easily. A quick find. TFTC KerrNT
Found at 11.35am GAFF1. We were in 2 minds as to where this cache would be located and once again we were not sure that it would be in private property, but we were mistaken.
Gosh - the water level certainly rises around here during he wet season.
Thanks Kerr NT.

Found while visiting the nearby Springs. Lovely place. Thanks Kerr NT.........Silky Seekers Brisbane
Upon arriving at the destination, I was concerned that a group of locals were sitting at GZ but thankfully they weren't! Still required some stealth. Enjoyed checking out the hot springs and watching the kids swing of the rope into them - great fun!
Found at 2.35pm when heading to the Hot Springs with xambo4u while on our way for swim A quick easy find even with the scouts nearby. TFTC
2.35 Having spent a week in Darwin at the 52nd National Square dance convention we are moving down south now and Katherine is the go today. Decided to do the breakfast along the gorge, very nice. Now checking out some local tour attractions and going for a dip in the hot springs we stopped for this quick pick up nearby. Luckily they were there and the gate was open.
Thanks for the cache.

Took a little hunting at night, and had to avoid some muggles nearby locking their gate up. Cheers Gav [8843]
We were leaving today for Darwin so no time to try the springs - maybe on the way back. TFTC.
Find number 4 for the day, and find number 289 on the twentyfourth day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1100hrs Qld time.
Pretty easy. The issue for previous cachers was it was too far up. The gate was open, so I headed in, made the grab, and replaced it a bit lower, so it can be reached from outside the fence.
Cheers

No joy for me on this one either. There are limited places and no sign of the cache.
another one that I struggled with on what turned out to be a horrible day's caching. The hint and the previous logs made this seem like a very easy find but I came up short checking the outside of the fence pretty thoroughly and what I could reach (power pole) over the fence but no cache to be found.
Quick easy find, having just recently arrived in Katherine as new residents landing here smack in the middle of the wet season we really look forward to the dry season when we can get to see the nearby hot springs which are currently engulfed by the swollen Katherine river. TNLN, TFTC.

On my trip around the world I first visited the States and travelled from there to Australia.
Now I'm exploring the whole country driving from east to south to west to north to the Uluru and to the east again.
Geocaching can take you to spots you would never visit and so I used my trip to find some caches in every state and country.
Thank you for hiding this cache and greetings from Germany

My last for the day. A very enjoyable way to spend the day exploring katerine. This one turned out to be a quick grab just as the sun was setting. TFTC Kerr NT [740]
Thinking like a cache-hider meant that there could only be one spot for the cache - and there it was.

Made our find after it was replaced by Liz and Bruce. Good camo Bruce! Thanks everyone for making it possible. Hopefully it won't go missing again.
no luck and wasn't quiet sure what side of the fence I should be on, not that I had a choice .
Definitely nothing there, shame as we would like to have left something with a scouting themewith it. Took photo of scout hall to show our scouts back home.
no joy for me either....
but since I'd been caching all morning and covered in dust and some ash....
to took the opportunity to go for a dip in the springs.... perfect
came out all clean, pity I only had dirty clothes to put on !

This one is definately not there (on the power pole) - looks like it has been muggled.
Needs to be replaced or archived

Had another look here but to no avail. Even jumped the fence and poked around. Could the cache owner check this bad boy out?
Nothing like a little blind faith that nothing is going to have started living there TFTC
Nice cache we found without any problems together with Struppi & Strolch.

Found by oldest geodaughter without any hints from me. I had actually been to this cache prior to my caching days with another cacher, so left it to the rest of the crew to find for themselves. Unfortunately her slightly clumsy nature caused to drop the cache out of reach. "No problem" she said. After her pants were ripped in two places and her backside was semi exposed, the cache was in hand. Dropped off my BBBB TB and NT GC before grabbing them back again.

Good one! Trudder with me found it straight away. Log a little full so we put some more paper in.
9th of 11 today, a clean sweep of the following caches, i am listing them as they make a great group of caches to do in a few hours if you are short of time in Katherine, some challenging, some easy.
THE GHAN, Manbullo, Meat your Fate, A Quick Rest, Handy Riverview, Scouts Honour, I May Be Nasty, HI-LOW, R.I.P, Show Ground and Speedway.
One of the easier ones today, good to give the hot tired brain a rest..ha ha,
Thanks for the cache here.

Found it easily with the help of my geokids. Geograndad was in tow and he helped out a bit too.

This was nearly going to be a "Didn't Find It" log as i could not find it. DH had waited in the truck with the kids and we did a slow drive past on the way out and i mentioned where i thought it would be.... Hubby checked and sure enough! There it was. My arms were not long enough!
Got it.
The log has dried out ok and seems fine (if a little worn looking). There is a regular money coin in there but i did not look to see who left it.
Took nothing.
