This is too good a spot for a cache - polfil, can you check if it is still there? Quite a few DNFs gathering.

17-Dec-11
It is gone for good

26-Nov-11
On our way to Strahan, pulled in here, but couldn't find the cache - had plenty of uninterrupted time to look. May have gone.

Great spot to stop though - fabulous views and informative boards.

27-Sep-11
Searched around the rocks t GZ and then under platform with Old Boots. Vegetaion is getting damaged in this area. We think this cache is missing. There was an obvious hiding spot at GZ.

03-Sep-11
Came back for another look this morning after contacting Dazzatron for some clues to where he had found it, but still no luck. It may have gone.

31-Aug-11
Hoped to find this on our way to Strahan, but no luck today.

04-Apr-11
Looked at the clue and went looking then after I couldn't find it I used the GPS and took me to where it actually was. TFTC

16-Mar-11
Because I had my own ideas where it was, it took me ages to find it. It was not where I expected. Had to stop searching a few times, due to muggles arriving.

16-Mar-11
Not where I expected

10-Mar-11
The only find on a busy day on the West Coast. Not quite where we expected from the clue, but a reasonably easy find.

06-Mar-11
Another cache while traveling around this great Island
Great view of the coast.
Thanks for the cache

Not our lucky day. Couldn't have a good look for it as there was one car of muggles after another. After waiting about 20 mins we had to move on!

Thanks polfil for the cache. Smile

08-Feb-11
Great view. Had to wait till coast was clear.

A lovely view of the ocean from the lookout. Whilst waiting for Muggles to depart, we read the informative display boards. TFTC.

Tazzie number 4: On our way from Cradle Mountain to Strahan. Didn't have time to explore the dunes.

16-Jan-11
Found on our epic day out, the 5th Anniversary of CraigRat, Alouysius and Horus' last epic trip.

Great views over towards Henty from here!

Thanks for the Cache

11-Jan-11
Nice easy cache at a great place to stop. Thanks.

30-Dec-10
Somehow I missed this one yesterday so had to backtrack a few km from Henty to grab it. Was filling out the log when a van door a few metres from me opened and a hairy guy stared at me for a few long seconds. I Pretended to be studying a plant and he disappeared back inside and shut the door. Finished quickly and got out of there. I think I must have woken him up but it was about 10am and if I'm up the rest of the world usually has been for quite some time longer. Interesting place, thanx. TFTC

29-Dec-10
We are on an “Escaping Christmas” and “Geocaching” holiday in Tasmania. We were on our way to Stanley and dropped in to find this one. We pulled up at the lookout as a muggle family were just finishing up and getting back into their van, so we looked at the views while we waited. Unfortunately no sooner had they gone than another car pulled up so we had to wait for them to leave as well! Once the coast was clear we conducted our search. We did take a while to find it, but eventually came up trumps. TNLNSL TFTC

686 - This was a lovely place to visit this morning as it was quite still, sunny and warm, just a lovely day on the west coast of Tasmania today. Found the cache in between muggle visits at 10:35am. Thanks for showing us this good view polfil, we managed to see the Cape Sorrell lighthouse from GZ.

02-Dec-10
We stopped for a lookout and thought it would be a great place for a cache. Checked the GPS and there is one!

fantastic views all round - although very very windy!

06-Nov-10
We had to bide our time here today as it was the place to stop!! Many car loads of muggels stopped to admire the views from the viewing platform and understandably so as it was a beautiful day. While waiting we took photos of the views. As soon as we had the chance we made a very quick grab and log before replacing cache. TFTC

Pity this and another down the road seem to have been muggled. We passed this one today & didn't stop due to the number of DNF's (when we ran our Pocket Query the cache was still active). Such a shame as caches are few and far between down this neck of the woods.

16-Oct-10
It is gone

03-Oct-10
We do not like writing negative comments however we have become very disappointed with the number of DNF’s we have experienced during our holiday in Tasmania. It seems as if we have had more of them during our time here than in all our time caching. We understand that sometimes it is difficult for the owner to check caches immediately, however after a string of DNF’s surely the cache should be disabled to save people wasting time looking for something that is probably not there. Having said that, we have had a great time in TAS – you have a beautiful state, and thanks for all the caches you have put out.

03-Oct-10
Pretty sure its not there. Please check and disable if necessary.

06-Sep-10
no. had a really good look - but dnf

21-May-10
Nope we had a good look but nuffin' like a cache to be seen.
Great place to stop though and see for miles!

09-Apr-10
Had as good a look as we could, too many muggles! Very nice lookout and well worth stopping.

Find number 2 for the 20th day of our trip to Tasmania and the Mega Event. Found at 1815 hrs, find number 228 for the trip so far. Easy find, but I dont think it was where it was supposed to be. Just too easy, virtually out in the open. Rehid a bit better.

Cheers

easily found this one and had to sneak it quickly back into place as group of German cyclists rode up for a look. great views from here

15-Feb-10
Hehe, love it when muggles find a cache and not destroy it.
Road is VERY rough!

15-Feb-10
Found the cache without GPS. Had been found by a muggle and just left on the ground but everything was still there. I replaced where i think it was hidden TFTC

24-Jan-10
This was the second last find of our trip - before our car broke down and had to be towed all the way home . . . As we didn't know what lay ahead, we were still having a good time and admiring the views on a dunny day. Y ear plugs, L glow in dark frog. Thanks

24-Jan-10
Found cache on ground, replaced higher (but still under) to avoid bored mini muggles foraging around like hungry wombats.

Nice easy find on a days caching around the area

Moorlands are also teaming with muggles. Had to have an extended cuppa to even find the cache let alone put it back. Thus we had a long time to view the buttongrass. Good views of the surrounds too. TFTC

Found with jkcourtz on road trip down too and around Tasmania.

Great little vantage point. Cache was a very quick find......always like that when on time schedule. TFTC and the views.

17-Nov-09
Found this almost by accident when we had just intended to stop and admire the stunning view in glorious weather. A nice easy find but we had to make a quick and discrete return when muggles turned up to admire the same view. Took the travelling money for a round the world trip - at least it won't get spent that way!

While driving from Zeehan to Strahan, we came by this nice lookout.
We stopped to enjoy the view, although it was rather windy.

At the spot I checked if there were any caches nearby and saw that
one should be located appr. zero meters away ! We could not resist
searching .... and finding this one ! The logging took some time because
shortly after finding the cache, loads of muggles arrived so we could not
return it to its hiding place ! The cache contents were a little bit moist,
but the logbook was dry.

Polfil, thanks for this cache and the local view.

Lovely views. Cache was half full of water. We tipped it out, but still a bit damp. Thanks for the cache.

08:48 Found on our Touring Tassie and Beyond 2009 Trip!

Thankfully the muggle that was camping at GZ was just about to drive off as we pulled up, so all we had to do was wait a couple of minutes, and once the coast was clear it was a very easy find by A. Being a coolish morning we didn't stick around for too long, plus we wanted to get to Tasmazia in time Big Grin

Found this one when driving a work vehicle which isnt very muggle friendly (the red and blue lights usually attract attention) But after pulling up the 6 or so muggles all piled into their cars and drove off. Nice easy find.

Parked the motorhome on the main road as the dirt track looked a bit washed out then walked to the cache.
Managed to get it rehidden, before some muggles arrived
Terrific views from the lookout. SL

05-Feb-09
Really nice lookout on the way to Strahan. Extremely popular with muggles, too, it seems (a car showed up just as I was logging the book mid-sentence, which required some hasty hiding-waiting till they left-finishing sentence-rehiding). Took a TB and foreign coins, left cats and a blue knight. TFTC.

Isn't it nice to have convenient hidey holes provided in such locations. Nice easy find and a great chance for a close up on the vegetation. A chilly wind kept us from staying too long as we headed for Strahan. TFTC

After a few cache free days in Strahan, we stopped by for a view on the way to Zeehan. The camera didn't do justice to the scenery below. Neat hide.

17-Oct-08
We went and checked the condition of cache. Found the box lying under the platform in full view of all muggles. We positioned cache where it should be. Please be careful when re-hiding cache. Thanks

01-Oct-08
Found right on dusk on a windswept day. The sky was only coloured with greys and blues wand had none of the intensity of colour that may have been expected.
The cache container was full of water and needed a fair bit of maintenance. The log book was taken back to be the work camp to be dried and some of the swappies were past saving. Cache was restocked with waterproof gifts. The container has been placed on its end so condensation flows down along the seal rather than across it and into the container.
Many thanks polfil for the cache in an inspiring and informative place.

22-Sep-08
little tackers sniffed it out and raced back to pop's car to fill out . had to bail the water out to fill log book out ; contens still damp but not a lot we could do as we were rather damp as well , the view will come next time tnlnsl thanks polfil

What a beautiful moorland area; reminded me very much of Scotland. It was a cloudy damp day so we had limited views from lookout.
