Gone again. Sorry folks this one is history. Can only replace them so many times.
Searched high and low again today but couldn't find. However did find a tiny plastic container wrapped in red tape, inside the container was a brown stuff? Hope somebody hasn't interfeared with your cache. Container did not look big enough to be yours and to hold what you listed
Loved the location. Looked and looked but couldn't find it. A junior cacher and his family turned up but we still couldn't find it between us.
Never-the-less, thank you for yet another geocaching adventure.

Spending a couple of days in New Plymouth. A nice hide in a lovely area. The good hint made for a quick find. TFTC.
Second time looking for this one, brought a torch this still no luck. Gps signal is weak so might not be quite in the right area for the find. Will try again another day
Had a bit of a look for this one, but it was starting to get dark. Couldn't find it in the area the GPS indicated, tried a little further on in an area that fitted the clue better, but still no luck. Must have been getting to tired! Will try again another day.
Cool hide, never would have come to this area if it wasn't for the cache, thanks for bringing me here.

We over complicated it as the co ordinates were about 34 foot out but got there in the end. Beautiful spot!
Made things way harder for myself by not reading the description properly and parking at the top... But was a great bit of much-appreciated exercise though! Interesting spot, clue and co-ords excellent. TFTC!
Just not my day for this one. Where ever I stood I was 5m away from the cache - from one end of the race to the other. Maybe on another visit home to Taranaki.
Very cool little cache. I love these bits of history hidden away and being taken over by nature. Very cool. Cheers Gav [8244]
TFTC, managed to find even in fading light. Will return during the dsy at some stage for a better look around.
The cache has been changed to a micro, due to the original cache location deterioration.
The cache container has been retreived and a new micro relocated in a slightly different place.

Finally got the monkey off my back with this one. Have bee searching on and off for about a year, when in the area for work. Had searched the cache location previously with no luck. Got it this time with a bit of help from daywalk TFTC
Mr Daywalk has rellies living very close who have brought the kids to this park for soccer, but didn't know about the Waterworks relics! Lousy reception, but by thinking like a lazy geocacher Mr Daywalk went right to the spot. Stay on the straight and level, no mud or climbing up sides of hills required! Lots of rubbish around, and we removed what we could carry.
I knew the exact place of the Water works as M in Law lives just above it! so this was an easy find!
Caching in Taranaki with Indiana Jill, BookwormMum and Kayaknkiwi, the latter of whom gave new meaning to the term mud pack. Thanks to the extendable mirror Indiana Jill gave me for Christmas, this cache was found after several minutes of searching. The area can be slippery after a rain, so please be careful. After locating the cache, we headed down to the river to wash out some clothes and enjoy the peace and quiet. This is a lovely area . . . worth returning again! TFTC!
In NP for a spot of caching and other fun with Seattle’s Best, Kayaknkiwi and Indiana Jill. This was our first for the day - and a lovely spot to be in too. KnK had a little bother with mud, so once the cache was in hand, had the chance to chat with a dog owner and enjoy the place as she cleaned herself up. TFTC!
On a road trip and caching adventure with Indiana Jill, Seattle's Best and Bookwormmum. The first cache of many today. Off we set. hmmm oh where could it be. Look high, look long, look low. Well off high I go, and came down pretty fast, lets just say one side of me was mud. NO need to do that shall we say. After some looking and stand tall with my pride, cache was in hand. Thanks for the adventure. Members of my team went down to the river to wash my shorts...what team work ahe!! Thanks for the adventure and laughter!! TFTC!
Out with cache owners today. Found and replaced where it should be. Really lovely spot, being enjoyed by many families today. SL. TNLN. TFTC.
Just checking our caches to make sure all is in order. With the assistance of Darby&Joan ,spotted it hidden in a different location to where it should be , so it has been returned to it's original hiding place.A new logbook placed as the original book has gone.
found it as it had been tampered with needs new log book

Was here about 10 months ago but couldn’t find the cache, so back and better luck this time, found quickly and placed back exactly how I found it, cool structure, TFTC TNLNSL (1037)

Strange encounter here, called by yesterday an I was 'followed' to near the cache, it wasn't a good fealing with this guy stalking me so I bailed .... came back to day an it was all mine .... interesting place
Nice hide - Was not aware the town water was supplied from the river back in the day.
Easy find - Thanks very much.
Easy find - Thanks very much.
After going straight to where we thought it would be... and not finding it... we spent another 20 minutes going up hill and down dale. Finally found it in the original spot... after nearly giving up.
great spot, never knew about it before. took ceramic butterfly, left plastic recorder and placed geocoin
Mrs Ski found this one with Young Grampie and Birdie, on a hot Sunday afternoon (disturbed a couple of courting couples during the search - how embarassing)
Left - Cystic Fibrous Coin and Patch and Skiffy's TB

[Great cache had taken children swimming here before and didn't even know this hiding place existed.] Check the ends before going in.

That took a bit of finding! Was crawling all over the concrete remains before guessing the obvious hiding place.

A bit of history here. Great spot for a cache indeed.

I used to live in Taranaki and had never visited this area before. Great swimming holes. TNLN. TFTC.
Rain was a bummer, but this has been a great way to explore the Naki to day! GPS died 2m from cache, so an easy find to a large park very handy to town. Cheers Muzy Man! TNLN
Had a quick look and couldn’t find it but will attempt when I come though next time
This is a very cool piece of history which we thoroughly enjoyed visiting even though it was getting wet and cold. A torch helped in the fading light. TFTC
Decided to take our chances on a stinker of a day. Found the entry to the car park locked, so were left with a 200m walk. Got to the site and very quickly turned located the cache. Took coin. TFTC.
Really enjoyed the mad search for this cache. We got pretty muddy on the find and had to be brave to retrieve it. Lovely spot we had visited before and never knew about the old water works. Left a coin here that wants to be photographed with Cornish things.

Took us a wee while to track down this tricky hide. The co-ords were spot on, but that didn’t help us. We must have searched over every square inch of the structure, before finally finding the well hidden cache. Nice spot for a cache.

Little bit of trouble finding the entrance but fairly obvious really, I'd driven right past the BIG sign and not seen it!
Lovely little spot and quite a surprise. GPSr bang on but needed a bit of a think and a search before I found it, good hide!
No trades, TFTC.

Ooops, now I'm really embarrassed. Even with detailed email from The Rambling Duo (thankyou) we still cannot find this one. The combined efforts of 4 of us (76, 45, 13 and 7 years old - so we really covered all areas of expertise!)searching for a good 20 minutes (we even took rubber gloves and a torch) and we are baffled. Maybe we are in the wrong city?!!!
99% certain we were in the right place, all the clues fitted, poked around endlessly but could not find this one. Very dissapointed, will have to try again another time.
Fourth and last for the day.
Took the higher track at first and we had to double back. Quite a bit of poking around when we were in the right place before eventually spotting a glimpse of the plastic cache. Sneaky.
Would never have known this was here, thanks for showing us.
TNLN, thanks a lot!

Great spot to hide a cache, found without problems, wish i had time to stay longer. tftc
Another great spot in New Plymouth. Found without any problems, other than the glass on the ground near GZ. Hopefully we've cleared it all, but be careful just in case.TFTC, TNLNSL
Great walk and area - I lived nearby a long time ago, but never came out here - thanks TNLN
Great weather, loads of muggels and had to creep up on it

Took a bit of hunting to find this one as the bush cover upset the GPS TFTC TNLNSL
Easy find. Evidence that others found the area of use for alternate outdoor activities found in the area. I wonder why right there on the concrete - the moss and ferns close by looked much more comfy to me.... No swaps.
Right. Found it this time around. The drizzle had just finished and the grass down the track was lovely and wet. GPS was all over the place at the site, but with the help of Hint 1 and Hint 3, I managed to find it. Still don't quite understand Hint 2.

Now before anyone gets upset - I didn't have long to attempt this one. 5 minutes, but interesting location! In town for a week and I'll see if I can get another go later.
