Popped in today to check it out after reports of a wet log. Found ok, decided to archive though because the area isn't as nice as it used to be with lots of graffiti, and also because I can't get to the area as regularly as I'd like.

Popped in today to check this one out after reports of a wet log. Decided to archive instead of maintenance, because the area is no longer as nice as it used to be, with lots of graffiti in and around the cave, and getting overgrown. Also I can't get to the area as frequently as I'd like anymore (it's over 12 months since I last visited). If someone else wants to have this location feel free.

Have just gotten home from a week away caching to find this cache has been archived. Yes, I agree, not a pleasant area... pity. Thanks, grahamf72.

189 - Found at 10:55am. Interesting location, never would have suspected to find this here - thanks for bringing us to it. Found log book damp and water in cache. Dried water out as best we could - Shame Council has neglected this area, but it looks like it goes under water often and the steps are a little dangerous so it is clear why they have attempted to restrict access. Found during our Easter getaway.. Was a bit daunted by the log that has been lashed across the stair access point!

Onto the cache. Found quickly, and surmised that someone was there before me due to the flat grass in a couple of places. Wink

Sure enough, Brissy guy was there about 2 hours before me!

Cache was secure, but a bit damp. I didn't have a ziploc bag with me for the logbook which is danp but signable.

Nice spot, nice hide! Cache in ok condition, but it feels like the log is getting a little damp. Also, not sure re: safety of this cache after big storms... Visited today after reasonable rainfall the night before, and the cache was not far away from been washed away. Other than that, definately worth a visit

This is one of those little gems that just pops up from the unexpected. I love a cache which is entincingly close but still requires some planning of the approach to find.

A top little spot to pull over and check out Big Grin

5/10 for this afternoon
Found at 231621KJAN09
It was about 10:30 when Mummy (wife) and I decided to fill in one of the rare days off we have together and the “Let’s go caching†call went out. We decided to do a few “fringe dwellersâ€, ones not too far off the beaten track but far enough that we would not drive past under normal circumstances. All loaded and ready to go by 1:00PM.
A planned route that eventually doubled back on it self and a few “No way am I driving down there†detours saw us drive over 330km to get 10 out of 10 planned our first large hunt without a DNF.
What a fantastic spot to pull over on the way up or down, although it appears the powers to be are trying to discourage its use by blocking the path with a log, that would be a pity.

Speedmistress Triumphs. Found in company with ParisDac while we were out motorcycle riding. A really great little spot if only it had been maintained. Love the geographical feature.

An easy find after a pleasant drive from Ma Ma Creek. This would be an interesting place to explore, especially if there was more water in the creek. TFTC

Found at the end of a busy afternoon. Great spot if only the council would clean it up and restore to its former glory. Geokids had fun at the feature. TFTC

Had been here previously looking for another cache....no such luck though.

It is a shame to see this picnic area been decommissioned and abandoned by Council. Fun to climb in the cave though.

Quick find this morning - boy there was a bad smell coming from the water... and what a shame about all the rubbish... liked the geological structure... TFTC

We enjoyed the beautiful vistas on the drive in. This area is potentially lovely except for the rubbish and abuse it has received. Found the cache without any problem. TNLN. Thanks grahamf72

This was a bit sad - this used to be a nice spot for a picnic. The last time we stopped here, only about 18 months ago the area was fairly well looked after.
Now the top of the steps have been blocked off and the picnic area is badly overgrown.
The local council appears to have lost interest.....

What an interesting spot [:o] I think we took the long way round to get to this one but eventually made it by taking some dirt back roads Wink. My son and I took the time to have a look around as well as exploring the geological feature.

It may be worthwhile to put the cache contents in a plastic bag to help protect from moisture. Didn't have one with me to use but if the next cacher comes prepared that would be great. Cache still in good condition but there were signs of moisture inside.

Had a couple of hours spare so took a quick drive to grab this one. It continues a tradition of caches appearing within days of my traversing a road for the first time in years.I drove past here on the 23rd.
Anyhow, the gps led me straight to it. I unfortunately left my bag of swaps at home.
