D'oh. Had noted this one months ago, then didn't read the updated logs before heading there. Homer will be disappointed!
Macrocarpa trees have been cut down and area has been leveled. Found remnants of cache out in open but contents were gone. What a shame because kids were looking forward to it, we were here for the unveiling of the doughnut.
Found on the way back to Christchurch in the near dark. Blundered around then found the very cunning hide. TFTC
Looking foward to visting this wee town, not to many people about today not sure why but left me to find the cache TFTC

After intensive searching on the wrong locations and being spotted by some muggles, I decided to go for the other cache in Springfield first. At my second attempt (and a "mind reset"), I found it quickly.

Found this cache on the way to Arthurs Pass today it was a little exposed but covered it up a little, and dropped off coin #CR5MXK to continue its journey, cheers
Well, we didn't find it!! Bright colours or not. Our excuse is it was starting to rain and we were being eated alive by sandflies, plus our GPS put us about 12 metres over on the other side of the trees from the highway, in the grassed area. Ah well, we drive past often enough, so I expect we will have another look sometime.

I found this cache on the ground in plain site. I put it back where seemed obvious - looked like the right spot. TNLN Thanks
Found it on our trip to Greymouth. Very bright coloured container. No swops.
First find on our trip to Greymouth caching event. Last visit on the way home to retrieve item accidently left behind. On both occassions cache very visible so tried to disguise it a little better on the return visit. TNLN
Arrived, followed GPS and soon found the cache. Didn't see the doughnut, though. The cachebox was exceedingly visible - it would be better painted a brown camo I reckon.
No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1066)

Yay - joint FTF with rchdlyn. I get to log first yay me.
We pretended I lost my precious bouncy ball to deter muggle interest. Collected cache discretely 'once located' and removed to a picnic table away from prying eyes. Took Wizz Kid geocoin (because I am a wizz kid afterall) and put in my precious bouncy ball. Muggles had gone when it was time to return cache to it's secret location.
