Wow! Thank you! My son found this conservation park by accident and just followed the tracks, he brought me back for a look and after a peaceful camp near the beach we meandered to Lake Bonnie lookout. So long since Ive cached. I did it solo and was on all fours on some of the dunes (Im not a youngster anymore). I missed my SOs presence as he had a spider sense for finding caches. I Used my phone ap to find and it makes a difference when you use satellite view, fortunately the signal was strong enough to hold. TFTC it was great fun

There was a race to get over the dunes and find the cache. Found with Ms5ltr, Imogen_Lee, scramping, hevwalker, TT016, Rolly Girls and The Teddies on a wonderful day out together, caching and dune climbing. TFTC it was a fun day. Really enjoyed being on top of the big hill and then running down. So much fun.

Found after taking the long way over dunes following the grandsons who had the phone and showing us the way.....way out of sight sometimes...lol..... with many eyes and broading the search....by the way coordinates were pretty spot on considering I was using the phone and we were in the middle of a desert.......A great day of 4wding with hevwalker, TT016, TheTeddies, Ms5Ltr, Imogen_Lee, and Zander_25. A 4WD day was organised with a group of cachers to drive from Carpenter's Rocks to Canunda via the dunes track. It was a fantastic day.
One last cache along the track. We parked at the "carpark" with lovely views overlooking Lake Bonney with the wind turbines on the horizon. The kids had great fun in the sand.
The cache itself took a bit of a search but found, signed & replaced as found.

Indeed the views were spectacular.

H423L and I decided to walk from the beach side rather than take the track to the lake. It was a great walk early in the morning. The blood was well circulated by our return. Some very pretty spray painted (so it seemed) plants. Pic.

Thanks to BlindShambles and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

The great Southeast Saunter with Anymules down to the Millicent area to find caches associated with the postponed GV2020 mega. Surprised But with leave organized and accommodation booked the caching trip was not postponed! [^]

Day 3: Today we set off to get out names in all the SFE challenges (qualified or not) and then head to Carpenter Rocks. From there it was up through the Canunda National Park again to finish caches in the southern section. Smile This coincided nicely with finishing near the night cache just after sunset. Cool

What a great drive to get to this one. [^] We came from the south and then exited to the north. Who would have thought that there was a mini Sahara desert out here. [^] Amazing place. Really enjoyed the trip in and out. FP from me

***Thanks BlindShambles for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Lots of sand out here!

14-Jul-20
So glad to have dear friends FelixII with us so we could attempt this cache while a second vehicle was nearby if needed. However the sand was pretty easy going today after recent rain and a bright sunny winter’s day made this an excursion not to be forgotten.

A very appropriate name for the cache too

Many thanks for the hide BlindShambles....a favourite point on it’s way

We joined with our besties Sylken to tackle Bonnie View. We wanted to find a few other caches on the way and they graciously were happy to follow us along. Now tyres deflated and off we went into the dunes! Thankfully no other vehicles encountered on our way in. 3 cars arrived at lunch and then almost out of the 4x4 and we found ourselves head to head with a 'L' plater. all good and we passed by to reach terra firma and pump up those tyres.

wow this location did not disappoint! Fave from us. such a great adventure to get here and ! Awesomeness where we parked the Geo 4x4's

This was our main caching target on our week down south and we weren't disappointed in what we found Big Grin.
Came south along the inside track, being fortunate enough to have it all to ourselves in the early afternoon [^], the first vehicles we met being on the dunes here. They were busy towing their kids around in a canoe using one of the 4WD's Razz.
Parked about 50m from the cache and took in the view over the lake Big Grin.
TNLNSL.
Since this is the half way mark along the lake, we continued south through to Carpenter Rocks - unfortunately, that section of the track was like Rundle Street Surprised!
Thanks BlindShambles. This is why we geocache . . . Big GrinCool[^].

Found It!
An interesting drive into this one. I came in from the north and went back out the same way. The recent rains have made the sand quite easy to drive on. Just need to watch out for the huge puddles and bog-holes in the middle of the track. Some great views from GZ once you get there though!

I headed down to the south-east with gridge98 on a quick, two-day trip to find a few caches.

We had some rather mixed weather, with sunshine, rain, hail and wind at different stages, but most of the time it was good weather for caching.

We also had rather mixed results in terms of caches. There were some interesting hides in some terrific places; some along the beaches, some in the pine forests and others at various scenic or interesting locations. We managed a few lucky FTFs, but also a few disappointing DNFs. But all in all, it was a great trip.

We enjoyed the drive in to this one along the dune track from the north, then parked and had a pleasant wander over the dunes to the cache. The container and contents were found quickly and in good order.

We contemplated continuing south to Carpenter Rocks, but it was getting late, so we retraced our steps north.

Thanks BlindShambles for the cache. A favourite point from me.

A trip away with e.gregory1 to the south east.

This was a nice long drive along the beach and well worth the long 10km drive. A nice walk through the sand for about 500m to GZ was reached TFTC

Found it still in good condition. Travelled through the park today as part of the Friends Group, 30 years of volunteer work in the park.

Finally got to this cache, after a bit of a wait for the right time (work). Came here in a family convoy, today. Stopped at No. 2 beach for lunch before continuing on to GZ. Nice views on a warm, windy day. Track in, was fairly dry and fun. Lots of tourists as well. Tftc, tnln. Found with Sugarkain61 and PittsyJr. 1/01/2015 2:27 pm Find #759

There was a parks-approved ‘road’ that went within a few metres of this one, so we obviously took it [^].
Leaving the cache location, Parrot had some difficulty getting up the steep sandhill and I couldn’t resist snapping a quick pic Twisted.
I should add that I did exactly the same thing – but there was no one around to photograph me. Big Grin.

10:49:00 AM

Headed out with Nibs for the Australia Day long weekend to drive from Mt Gambier to Salt Creek along as many of the 4WD tracks along the coast as we could.
Three nights of camping along the coast in what turned out to be a very hot weekend.
Started out at Carpenters Rocks and worked out way down.
We camped the first night on the Admella Flats, the second night near 3 Mile Rocks on the other side of Beachport and on our third night between 32 and 42 mile crossing on the Coorong.
It really got busy in Little Dip park near Robe on Australia Day as there were several large 4WD clubs in the park.
As usual the Pathfinder went a treat and we had a ball.
There was only one sand hill climb that gave us any grief but the third time was a charm and I got over.
When you have been a student of the Beaker school of driving anything is possible.
If I had of got stuck it would have been OK as Nibs would have rescued me. We helped out a lot of people over the weekend and once he sets his mind to getting you out there is no stopping him.
We spent about 2 hours at one spot trying to pull a bloke out from just above the highwater mark before the Nissan Club rolled up and literally built a road out of maxtracks.
It was an great weekend and Mrs Parrot and I loved it.

Great location. Kids had lots of fun. GeoMum couldn't get back up!!! TFTC

What a great spot! Such wonderful views and a cache to boot. The extreme wind of the last three days has made the last dune before the cache verrry steep. We could see the cache from a long way off. We left a pencil. TFTC

27-Jan-12
Loved the drive across to this one Big Grin Great views in both directions. It felt so remote with just us two vehicles there. As GPS mentioned, that last dune is great fun to go down, but coming back up is another story Surprised I guess it's different everytime someone finds the cache. Upon returning to the vehicle, suddenly it wasn't so lonely - 10 more vehicles from the Northern 4WD club had arrived and were all parked in a line! Certainly a popular spot today. Thanks so much for the cache in a top location.

Yay... finally another FTF to BB.
Sand was very soft and the views spectacular over the lake and wind farm. The trip from Robe to Carpenters Rocks was lots of fun for all involved.
I agree with mogni... the chances of this one disapearing under sand is high i think.
