Nufrat and I took advantage of the excellent weather to collect lots of caches around Oamaru. TFTC.

When hubby and I first bought our house in Weston, 38 years ago, this train platform was prominent, standing tall with ramps either end for the passengers to climb up. Now I can only see a fraction of the platform. The rest is submerged in weed, grass, and dirt that has accumulated over time. Thank you for placing the caches here that have brought back for me many wonderful memories as I've strolled around Weston.

On holiday for 2 weeks in caravan, stopped at oamaru for couple nights and thought we would go find some cach hunting . TFTC

(# 6080). Day 6 of my South Island odyssey. Today is getting some caches between Timaru and Dunedin as well as having a good look around. A quick find. Everything in order. No trains in sight. A few cyclists though. TFTC

Such a nice evening so thought I’d go for a walk... I wasnt intending to go caching but took a pen with me just incase I changed my mind. Which for a minute I did...No one was around so had a quick look for this one... found it... went to grab my pen and it flicked into the long grass.... looked all around was about to give up thinking I’d have to come back... but then found it and logged it! On with my walk. TFTC

Finally finding some time to log these caches. Took a couple of days off work and decided that today was the day to knock off the next section on the A2O. A wee bit cool and quite windy but enjoyable none the less. A fee quicks finds and a few tough ones. A shout out to Drawp who I run into on the way and helped me with a couple. TFTC.

Day 7 - of our (The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara, & myself) epic adventure around amazing Oamaru. With Geofest17 and Danseys Pass and A2O bagged, we are off exploring Oamaru again.
We ran out of time doing A2O, so back today to bag a few more before it rains.

Tyabeedragon and I cycled most of the A2O from the elephants a few days ago. Now we are back, mopping up sections that we missed.

Visiting from Brisbane with Slow Puncture for the Oamaru Geofest, and we're seeing all the wonderful sights the South Island has to offer as we travel along. Day 2: After 1 night in Christchurch we rolled down the coast to Oamaru for the event, finding plenty of caches (and cachers ) along the way.

3rd of our 6 Day Adventure to and around Oamaru for [Oamaru Geofest 2017](https://coord.info/GC6M2V0).
After dropping off our results for 'the Race' and rubbish for the CITO we had a few hours to kill before the Quiz tonight so decided to venture out a little further to help boost our numbers for the day. Heading back now to grab some dinner before the Quiz. D1/T1 nah! - Lots of empty places to look first and harder when your in a hurry or didnt even bother to bring the GPS out of the car due to preconceived notions of where you think its gonna be. I got there in the end though. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies

Saturday. Slow Puncture has teamed up with Orange Crew to make a Moreton Bay assault on the Oamaru Geofest. Day Two saw us travel from Christchurch to Oamaru. Sad nothing remains but the name, this looks as if it would have been a beautiful line to travel on in days gone by.

This was the 26th of 49 caches found on today's trip.

We left Friendly Fielding on Thursday night flew into Christchurch stayed the night there then cached all the next day there eventually we headed towards Omaru for the first event of the weekend, next day headed to the Geofest event then it was time to start caching for the day until the next event which was a CITO event, we have met alot of new people so far and some we already knew which is always great to catch up once again always so much to talk about. This area is amazing so much to see and do and the Steampunk around is incredible a wonderful place to visit. Thank you for placing a cache here and bringing us to this area, signed the log and placed the cache back where we found it. TFTC
