The original cache was muggled long ago and these replacements do not meet my standards any longer. Time to clean up and put out some real caches!!!!! Ammo boxes.
No luck today possibly as the latest DNF logs suggested it has been moved by rain. Though I've been out of action for awhile and may be a little rusty lol
I came past here on the way to mums to check out this cache. I spent 20min searching both sides of the creek with nothing to show, even using the hint. With all the recent rains and flooding in the last few months, and judging by the derbis and level of where the water was, there is a good chance, that the cache may be floating or sinking around Lake Gillawarna somewhere. Maybe...
Found this morning after initially searching on the wrong side of the creek. Cache in good condition. TFTC
Took geocoin pc434m, left porcupine.
Not too hard a find.
I will move the coin on in NSW in Feb or overseas early Feb.

This one was a bit tricky,,,primarily because, for some reason, the map on the geocaching app in the iPhone looked nothing like reality?! There was large areas of lake that wasn't even shown on the map, and this made getting to GZ a challenge!
I eventually found the cache after many wrong turns, and it was complete with its own 'guardian', in the shape of a lizard! Sadly, it ducked off towards the waterline before I could photograph it!
TNLNSL TFTC, Tronador!

I parked beside the main road and as I was walking away from the car a pair of ducks with a brood of ducklings were wandering in the grass only a few metres from the car.
Leaving them to their own business, I headed off along the path to mind my own, and was soon at a crossroad (well, a bridge anyway) with the dilemma of deciding which side of the creek I had to be at - I chose wrong and had to backtrack (not far though) to search on the other side from the one I had chosen.
On arrival at GZ I knew xactly where to find the cache.
Signed the log and headed back to note that the ducks and ducklings were heading back to the water.
On a side note - the grass was being mowed in the park - by a maniac on a speeding tractor-mower - any ducks in his way would not have stood a chance - a good thing this lot were no where near him.
Thanks for a reason to stop here.

In search of an afternoon walk with Isaac we decided to head south and check out this area. What a great location. The place was buzzing with BBQs (the kind with hot coals and smoke going everywhere), kids kicking footballs, men sitting in circles and women walking in large groups. It was quite a festive atmosphere.
We walked along the bike paths (Zac rode his bike), until we reached GZ. Zac scared us by nearly launching into the creek, before he spotted the treasure and brought it back to Nay who was waiting nearby. Swapped an Aldi keyring (handy for when you don't have a $2 coin) for a Geotalk pathtag and a bottle opener for the rubber ball. Dropped off a TB.
Great walk and location. Thanks tronador.

Even though there was a homeless person living within 4m of the cache, we used stealth and quickly had the cache in hand, signed and replaced. TFTH...SL....TNLN
Interesting today at the GZ, over in the distance a party was happening, but the muggle party goers had placed a small portable generator near here, also, as we approached the GZ, we stumbled across a no longer homeless muggles camp. Walked away and approached for another direction, the cache was soon to hand TFTH...SL....TNLN
What is it with the homeless muggles? That's the 2nd cache in a row where a homeless person is camped on or very near to a cache.
This guy was camping about 15m away but just out of sight because of the trees.
The cache is very slightly damp and would probably be at risk if the recent floods had been about a foot hight.
Thanks Tronador.

...couldn't find this one. Spent good 40min, found old cans, papers maccas cups etc, no cache.
Visiting friends in Georges Hall but quick trip around nearby caches came up with 4 finds over two days including this one. I witnessed the Ibis and Duck Weed problem. The Ibis numbers are a bit scary. Managed to not fall in or get stuck anywhere in this area bit it was touch and go for a while.
This was slightly harder than the last but I found it aster around 15 mins. TFTC - TNLN
Well at 2030 this was the last one of four in our first hunt for the year. Torches were the order of the evening (as was mozzie guard as BurgerGirl complained) and, once the right side of the creek was accessed, only took about 15 mins of hunting in the pine needle litter. FireboltCal spied this one after searching around the same couple of trees for a while, marvelous how plastic shines so well in torch-light.
Thanks for another fine hunt and Happy New Year to all!

Walked down from Landsdowne Park. I can't believe how green the grass is in this place. Looks like a golf course! TNLN. Thanks for the cache.
After about a 200m walk the cache was soon in hand.
What a nice area this was with plenty of paths that would be suited to those even in wheel chairs (with the exception of the last 10m or so to the cache). After a pit stop we were off again as the bbq's started to smell to nice and we were getting a little hungry.

Found it with some difficulty. We thought we were closing in our ground zero. Usual signs of previous activity in the area confirmed our suspicions (or so we thought). But after repeated searches we still came up empty handed except for a golf ball. We were about to abandon the hunt when the penny dropped and moved our search area to the right spot. Once in the right spot we had the cache in no time. Now we understand how everyone else found it so easily. Made us realise that our caching skills are still a bit rusty. Fortunately the little oky's mates are still keen to do another one so no doubt we will continue to hone our skills in the future,

YAAAAHOOOOOOOO Finally found my 200th cache. True to form I must have parked as far as possible from the GZ and then proceeded to walk right past the GZ. Then after thumping around the scrub getting covered in cobblers pegs I gave up and ddecided headed back to the car. Feeling very dejected I decided to give it one more go. This time following the GPSR EXACTLY and WAHLAHHH I found my 200th cache. Pity that it was in blues country. TFTC Dropped off a TB and picked up the jeep to put in gods marroon country.

Saw no Rocks, paper or scissors. I'm guessing the cache move made the name less relevant. Nonetheless a fairly quick find after a walk in the park. The sun was a touch furious, otherwise this would be a great park. Picked up coin.
OK so what's in a name?
Found this yesterday, looked at the spoiler pic today and remember saying to Jumbuck "not where I would put it, I would put it next to that tree over there" - 'There' is the tree in the pic! So it is about a metre or so from the large tree in the pic, didn't have/doesn't have a cross on top....so the next finder can please adjust. We only put it back exactly where/as we found it - well covered!

The recent rain means the river has risen an awful lot, and the waterline is dangerously close to the cache. It's okay for now, but if there is any more rain, a new GZ might need to be organised.
(Will leave a maintenance note for this)
Took nothing, but left a few goodies.

This cache is in danger of being washed away due to recent rain.
A new GZ might need to be organised for it, or it might just need to be moved to higher ground.

Found by Mary & David at 1000. A nice walk from the car park. A big flock of ibis were enjoying the grassy area. A few walkers about, too, but GZ was all clear. We know now that our DNF last time was because the cache was missing. Glad to see it replaced so we could try again. Collected 'Castle Man's AG Cache Rewards Geocoin'. Our thanks to tronador.

[The GPS couldn't make up it's mind as to which side of the little creek we should be, but we soon had the cache in our hands. Thanks for notifying me andreaandcarl and sorry you went out to look for this Marcus Vituvius. I actually went out to do a cache check today before I received these notifications.
Unfortunately, I can confirm the worst. It's gone. It seems that the council has spruced up the area quite a bit and removed a lot of the vegetation near GZ that added to it's own camoflage. The cache was not your ordinary container, so I won't be able to get one exactly the same.
I have disabled the listing and will try and get a replacement out as soon as I can.
Not sure about these strange men, people keep seeing cause every time I've been here I haven't seen a soul except families enjoying the sunshine.
I will have to put the replacement in a new location seeing this one is exposed now and compromised, so stay tuned!

I think, based on the recent amount of DNF's, that the owner of this cache carries out a check and confirm the worst.
From the look of the logs this one shouoldn't have presented a problem - but despite a fairly thorough search it failed to come to hand. There was a nice box shaped depression in the ground near the base of a tree though which makes me fear the worst. Managed to do the search unharassed anyway! Thanks tronador.
YIKES ! ! !
Slugga perhaps the same guy. Was there today and walked down from the carpark, past the toilets and was followed. Walked past the cache, eventually the guy went away. Wandered back to the GZ, had a good look around and gave up after a good look around.
I also noticed quite alot of scratching around all over the place.

No luck here today. Plenty of evidence that others have scoured the area. There was one spot that looked to be a prime contender, but the correct spot eluded us.
Geezzz... wish I'd read the logs before attempting this one!
Stopped by for a look at this one in my lunch break since I was in the area. The male toilets seemed to be a popular place with quite a few individuals wandering to and from thier cars. Seemed unusual but didn't think too much of it at the time.
Luckilly I didn't need to go so gave them a wide berth and followed the path to GZ. After arriving at the right area I noticed a strange man who decided he would follow me and make it quite obvious he was doing so.
Decided I would try another day when it's not so 'busy' but then noticed this strange man had gone back to the toilets after I had walked back to the car. (week bladder maybe?)
This is not my cup of tea so I don't think I'll be back to retry this one any time soon.
Logged as a note rather than DNF as saw a good hidy hole that matches the hint but didn't get a chance to look inside. Problem was too many other people there seemed interested in a different kind of hidy hole.
Thanks anyway.

I stopped by here the other day but experienced the same stalking that Ruffasgutts did. I had heard rumours before that the carpark and adjoining ablutions block are a meeting point for anonymous males so was a bit spooked.
This morning on my way to work, and with the threat of rain in the air, I had the area to myself and the clever cache was quickly found. Team Bloopy must have been here earlier this morning. They had dated their log 2/2/08 and I followed suit. Should have read 1/2/08. Oh well.
After doing the deed a light rain started to fall so I hightailed it back to the car. On my way out, despite the rain, I notice about 4 cars, each with just a single guy behind the steering wheel. Hmmmmmmmm.
TFTC, nice spot.
Left a geo-coin which wants to visit caches with "Rock" in their name.

Can't really say it was a DNF as the training soccer team would not let us look! Pretty sure we know where it was after the prelim scouting. Will be back.
Decided to take the carbon neutral approach to reach this cache and had to decide to paddle or ride. A quick check of the Georges River in our neck of the woods revealed I would have to fit wheels to the SK Firm & Willing so it was on to my bike.
I can easily reach Casula via bush track and back roads but had to join the M5 at Liverpool then nicked over to Lake Moore and followed the cycleway which went the wrong way and ended up on doing a tour of Chipping Norton Lakes. This led to the discovery of a new wetland development and a new cycleway (which submerges at high tide) and a series of single tracks which take you up to the bridge near the airport (Bankstown). Then I sneaked along the edge of a fence and joined up with another cycleway which took me straight to the cache. I passed some really amazing play equipment and would have loved to have a go but some kids where using it, what a waste.
Anyway zoomed up and grab the cache, once the formalities where completed it was time to turn for home. Along the way I found a power socket at one of the picnic areas and was able to set up the blender and produce a refreshing mango smoothie.

This was my first cache find for 2008 and one that is quite close to my place of work so getting out at lunch to find it was easy, finding this tricky little cache was not so easy, so many places it could have been and much muggle activity, also one fellow in particular who was quite interested in my whereabouts as everytime I turned around he was watching me.
I waited him out and continued my search but there he was again! Finally I confronted him thinking he was most likely looking for the same thing i was looking for but that was not the case, however after greeting him and explaining that I was playing a game he seemed to have his mind put at ease and left the area so the search continued, I was quite sure he had moved on when the cache was discovered I logged my find and moved on quick smart.
When I returned to my car I saw him again, This guy was just a little sus! oh well that was my experience other than this the park was a pleasant place to take a stroll and I have had many a family reunion in these grounds over the years Thanks for bringing me back here Tronador nice spot interesting cache!

Quite an amazing Park and one we had never visited before, lots of healthy people running around. Not sure about the colour of the water in the nearby lake but the birds seem happy enough.
