Found Bugs A and B a long time ago and managed to get to GZ today.
All good here after some upgrade work in the area.
A quick search soon had the final to hand and signed.
A long time since last visit. TFTC.

Out doing some Bayswater trads today with Ric when he remembered we hadn't done the final of the geo bugs multi !!!
Nice and safely tucked away thanks ..
Nice and safely tucked away thanks ..
Seems there is some path maintenance in the area. Disabled until all cleared.
Had hoped for 3rd time lucky today but although both bugs A & B were there this time, I didn't get any further. Co-ords put me of the coast of Takapuna, as there wasn't an attribute saying 'swimming required' I decided not to go there. (Didn't see previous logs till later when logging)
Bug B is at the moment, although safe to get to' past the 'path closed' fencing. I have tried to remove more evidence of the original Bug, so that others don't think it's gone. I knew that it had been replaced so kept looking untill new bug was found.
I suspect the cache may be in an area that is currently under reconstruction. So cache may need to be disabled until construction completed and Bug A corrected.
Even so I enjoyed the walk in fresh air and look forward to coming back.

I checked on Bug A the other day, and the co-ordinate (latitude) seems accurate; but unfortunately didn't visit Bug B. The cache location will be inaccessible until November.
It seems that Bug A has got the wrong coord. I need to fix that. I can't contact you Magnum P.I but am happy to give you a hint if you message me with your email address. For now I will put the cache up for maintenance and reactivate it when it's ready again.
It is possible that I messed the co-ordinates up, but I think that you have taken decimal minutes and treated them as minutes and seconds, which did give me a location near Warkworth.
There is a calculator here: http://www.directionsmag.com/site/latlong-converter/
So the format should be -36 MM. MMM, 174 MM.MMM
Hope that helps!

Hi.We have been looking for this one for ages. We are new to the game and have found A and B but can't make sense of the numbers. They are only.002 different and don't know are they minutes and seconds or something else? We don't have a mobile gps at present so we run home to the computer each time. When we typed them in as lat and long they sent us out the back of Warkworth by Kaipara Flats Rd! Can you throw us a bone without giving away the answer please?
Very cool multi with some interesting waypoints along a very nice walkway. Thanks for bringing us here, Master FriwiNZ enjoyed the playground even though the flying fox was not going TFTC
I've been trying to find this for years now.
Found WP1 a couple of years back but no luck at WP2.
Came back later for WP2 but the track was closed for maintenance.
Lost the data from WP1 so had to start all over again.
Found WP1 this time easily again but no information!
Went to WP2 and went to a likely spot on the track - no luck.
Came back the next day for another likely spot - no luck.
Was back today for another approach - there it was, finally.

Out and about with the Future Finder this aftenoon looking for a good walk to do. This cache looked just the ticket! Indeed, it was a very good walk in blusterly winds--luckily the rain held off. Initially we had no luck at WPA, despite finding the obvious hint items. WPB was no better, so we resigned ourselves to a lovely walk and explored an area that was new to us. As we wandered about my cache nose started tingling so I poked about in a couple of spots, and what do you know? I produced the cache! Better lucky than good! Having found the final I decided to have another crack at the WPs. Still no luck at WPB--I've no idea what the hint means. However, I dug down into the mud at WPA and found a Bug and a little more digging produced "A". WPA should be much easier to find now. Cheers for the multi-cache!
Thought it would be nice to do a multi today to fill the calendar. However they are hard to do when WP1 doesn't seem to be there anymore. Co-ords put us near a number of trees but no stone to unturn was found anywhere.
Though I might grab this one while walking the Cycle Trail. Quickly found A and B, then onward to GZ. TFTC, TNLN.
Yay our first multi cache, enjoyed finding the bug waypoints and the final cache. We have never been along this trail and like Glyn (the only one) we thoroughly recommend this multi cache. ps. All waypoint bugs ok.
Unfortunately bug A has flown, well the last 3 digits have. Went on to find bug B, then knowing what we were looking for, returned to Bug A, definately been torn away.
Every once in a while you come across an outstanding cache which brings a smile or two whilst doing it and this is indeed one of them!
Very creative waypoints of a type I havnt seen before, great little walkway to wander along and explore, made better by the fact that we hadnt been here before.
the waypoints certainly had a challenge to them, but easy to read when you get the drift and the final counted down to 0 when we hit GZ!
Very enjoyable and a pity we ran out of time to do Geobugs 2.
The only sad part was the cache it self, it has a little water in in, I suspect the the lid is cracked, however the log is fine. Pencil lead was broken, its fine now.
Thanks again!

This must be attempt 5 or so, but really pleased to finally find it. Approximately where we expected, but at ground level, and a little overgrown.
Also gave BUG A a little TLC so that you can read the co-ordinates.

4206 Great fun little multi. Miss Geckoh enjoyed the near by Flying Fox whilst leaving it to the adults to do all the locating of waypoints and cache. WP1 a little difficult to read, WP2 bug has suffered an injury, final safe and sound. Thanks for the enjoyable stroll, we will need to return and do the Geobugs 2 when we have more time. Definitely worth a favourite point! TFTC
Failing light, and getting confused by the co-ordinates for Geobugs 2 meant that we didn't find the final cache tonight, but will be back tomorrow, hopefully with greater luck
The new playground was fun!
The new playground was fun!
Success for the fifth time. Had 4 kids with me and my daughter actually was the one who found it. thanks Phillapillar.
For those wanting clues, the final coords is accurate to within 2m. You can get this cache rain or shine. High tide or low tide. It's very accessible for all ages - except below 1yr olds
There us a filthy dummy in there which I almost took out but didn't. I hope the next person gets rid of it.

Tried a fourth time today and still no luck. Will wait for Phillapillar to confirm cache is still there.
I tried with my 4 kids today and still didn't find that final cache. I have a feeling the cache isn't there anymore. It was low tide there there was a lot of room to go hunting. The sun was out sunny as well
Tried again today with 3 kids in their raincoats with umbrellas and in the rain and still didn't find it. The area is covered in water but we tried to look at both ends. Will try again on a drier day
We tried to find the cache today but didn't find it. We didn't look very long and there were 9 of us. 5 kids, 4 adults. We'll try another day
By the way, a more accurate latlong for bug A is -36.80395371223186, 174.78127487003803

Today this afternoon, we found the 2 bugs, and their locations are more accurate than Bugs C & D for her other cache. We didn't find the final cache as it was getting dark. The street lights are already on. We did try to look for it as we went back home lucky we didn't try hard because we were looking at the wrong place anyway. I only found this out when I used google maps to enter those coordinates.
I use a bluetooth gps in conjunction with my cellphone. When I entered those coords in google maps 3 on my cellphone, it points to the driveway of a house. Now that's strange I thought. Maybe it was Phillapillar's house and she wants to know who is looking for her cache
When I enter those same coords in google maps on my computer at home, it gives me the same house but also another point which is off road. It's 170m away in a straight line on a map. This got me thinking that google maps on cellphones only show coordinates for physical addresses since it wasn't designed for trekking. Next time I'll be checking for my current coords as well and not just rely on google maps.
And just this morning, I and the kids were playing at the exact coords of the final cache and not knowing there was something interesting in that area we were playing at.
When geocaching, I use mgmaps and google maps. google maps doesn't recognize blue tooth gps.
We will find the final cache another day. We got way laid playing at the playground nearby

Found the bugs easily tonight but not the final- it's getting dark and here's the rain. I'll be back soon! Bugs all in superb shape.
Path improvements are done, although there are still a few workmen around. Bugs fixed up and ready to go!!
Council is widening the footpath which has blocked access to the clues (bugs). I will re-able this cache once they're out of the way. Please don't try and attempt this with the workmen there. The first bug is missing the clue so you won't be able to get the cache anyway
PLEASE READ THE NOTE BELOW ABOUT THE FIRST W.P. I shall try and sort it when I can....
HI I have just been to the first point of geobugs1, the co-ordinates have come off the wing. I could not fit it back on with out the possibility of it blowing off again in the wind. I put it back under the bark on the broken branch. It is below the bug and a little bit of it is sticking out.
Nice cache in a good area. I liked the bugs used. Found it while out looking with Ramarama
I really enjoyed this one. I liked the bug finding along the way. First find of the day with The j0ker and sidekick.
This was bugging me all week, and I had to come back and try again. With a little help on WP1 from NZpixie and all was revealed. Nice fore-shore walk and easy retrieve of the cache. Thanks.
Spent some time on WP1. There are two different coordinates but read the clue. I only did after 10 min and got the right tree. WP2 quick and easy. TFTC. Great cache I enjoyed the bugs. I was on my bike which remined me of 35 years ago when I used to cycle to Devonport.
I enjoyed Bugs 2, so I was keen to have a go at this one. I couldnt find WP1 and I couldnt identify the tree via the hints. I tried both sets of cords given for WP1 and could not narrow the search down to a specific tree. Had a good look at a number of options, but some-one must have been out with the "Raid" as no bugs to be seen by me!
Great day for a spot of caching and this was another enjoyable multi to complete. T4TC.
Out this sunny afternoon with Seattle's Best and Bookwormmum. I so enjoyed the Geobug 2 just had to come and do this one. Awesome, a few muggles around today but non the wiser of what we were doing. Thanks for the adventure! What a cool bridge, didn't even know this was here and that's what I love about geocaching!! TFTC!. Left TB.
Lovely place for a stroll on a sunny afternoon with Kayaknkiwi and Seattle's Best. Turned out I was staring right at WP1 without really seeing it, luckily KnK is more observant! Must be the park for walks with pets - this time a young couple with a cat! Not sure how that was going with several dogs also out enjoying the sun. TFTC!
What a lovely stroll through the park with BookwormMum and Kayaknkiwi. I so enjoyed GeoBugs 2 that I just had to do GeoBugs 2 and wasn't disappointed! There were a few muggles out today. Many thanks for bringing us here! TFLN TFTC!
Had attempted this multi earlier this year, and found the 2nd waypoint but could not find the first. Today we quickly located both bugs (how did we miss it last time?!), and then on to the final. Enjoyed the walk. Watched a young girl walking her rabbit on a lead, and having to pick it up every time a dog came past. Thanks.

found cache on my second visit my first visit was cut short was a good place for a multi cache
Found the cache by accident when trying to find a hiding spot for a new cache, Quickly completed rest of waypoints, TFTC
This was fun, after being convinced the first bug had long flittered away, we moved onto the second one realised what we needed to look for and returned to the first one to find it immediately. (We're actually very sad Geocachers - but we do get there in the end.) T4TC
As promised, I did the walk and attacked this one from the Lowe St. entrance – it was where the autorouting gps led me. Nice walk. Loved the bugs – that first one was hard to spot! I must have circled around at least 3 times. Like the web page background too. Thanks for the cache. Departing from Lowe St took some time as the AA Rescue vehicle had to come from Albany to unlock my car doors.
Found this about a month ago, however only just found the scrap of paper that I wrote the names of all the caches I found on that day.

A good cache to start our day in the area. Quick finds for the first two WP. A groan when we realised where the final was, but an opportunity opened up that meant we did not need the boots after all!
Easy find at the final - what seem like muggle entries are actual cachers.
Left the Earth Day geocoin.

4.00pm. Started in from the other way today as we had an idea where the final was. Decided to check that spot first before doing the first WP`s. Lucky we did as the cache was found within a few seconds of looking.
We had looked the the exact same place the first time we were here, I think it was not in place before and had been taken by a muggles and returned again, as there are more logs from muggles in the book.
Not sure how long it will last as the locals muggles seem to know where it is, also a log the the council lawn mowers also found it.
A nice walk all the same and off to get geobugs2.

I have never been here and it was cool to see this bit of the coast. It took us all day to find the bugs and cache. When we found the cache I was busy trying to get my water gun from my brother.
the best find of the day.It didn't take very long to find this cache.I was running away from my brother when i found the cache.
Found in the company of the inimitable XenaCommander.
TechnoKitten has been very slack with logs and is finally catching up.

XC and TK out and about hunting a few on cycles.. Crossed on the ferry and did a few in Devonport.. Legs getting tired so made this one the last.
Enjoyed the bugs... found easily as we now know what to look for... Excellent idea.
TK uncovered the final. I dropped in Dorothy the Dragonfly TB as it is a perfect cache for a bug TB.
I also logged the rest of the trackables I had with me.

4.50pm. Always satisfying (but rarely the case) where we find a cache ahead of The Pud!!There were muggles exercising a dog near the first waypoint so we went onto the second first. Got more exercise this way! A bit squelchy in parts but a nice walk. Had more difficulty with A than with B or at GZ but all fell to conscientious searching. We think these geobug type caches are excellant. You should do more of them Phillapillar.

False alarm! Cache is still there, crawling with ants, but still in good condition!
I've had to temporarily disable this cache as I suspect it's been muggled. I shall try and replace it with a smaller magnetic cache....
10.30am. Well it started out good, found bug A with no trouble and off to what I thought was the right place for bug B......but I hadn't read the cache note properly and went to completely the wrong place [:i] had a re-read and thought well it can't be too bad, we can work with the info we need and find the final anyway.
So a quick look around and walking the straight line we checked two places out that looked like they could be a cache hide spot.......but no nothing there. Drat.
Well looks like we have to go back and find bug B and do it the right way.
On our way back to bug B one more spot lined up with the right co-ords and a VERY likely spot was found but nothing was there...Drat, Drat.
So back to bug B and found this one fast also.
Put all the info back in the GPSr and the final was the exact same place we looked before.
So in the end we did find all the bugs but just didn't find the final.
I wonder if it has been muggled as sp8sm8s's log noted it had been found by muggles before [?]
A nice walk and we managed to miss all the showers.
We'll be back sometime.
Cheers M+S [:O)]

After getting some practice on Geobugs 2, back to try this one again. Having the family along must have helped because they found Bug B very quickly.
Off along the path to have picnic lunch near the cache.
Exchanged some more bugs...
Thanks for the cache!

I wasn't sure what I was looking for at Waypoint A, but it all became obvious when I found it. Coordinates were out, but the clue helped.
Off to Waypoint B, but no joy. Knowing that the coordinates were out at Waypoint A, I widened the search area. The clue could be interpreted several ways, so that didn't help much.

Spotted wp1 instantly this time, can't believe I missed it last time. Enjoyable walk on to wp2 and the final.
Last few logs all from muggles, seem one pair took the cache home before reading up about caching and returning it.
Relieved the cache of its easter egg as food isn't a good idea in caches.

After a morning of rain, our 6 year old was bored with being stuck in the house, so we decided that taking our bikes for the Geobugs caches would burn off some of his energy!
We all loved finding the Wpts... very clever idea, but son was especially excited about the bugs! Found the final with problems at all.
Thanks for the fun and the excuse to get out of the house.

We spent quite a while looking about, gps put us in the middle of a three trees plus there were a few others that could have been 'possibles'. Clue didn't really help. After a while we had to get moving as we had a plane to catch.
This one was BUGGING me after a DNF on WP1, but this time my SPIDEY senses were working better and had an easy find.

Cool cache, nice concept – No problems with Bug A, Bug B clue fading, could just make out the numbers. Nice location for the final, although we fear for its longevity, not much cover around GZ. Swapped some bugs: in spider, out praying mantis.

Quite a popular walk. Didn't know what to look for until found at WP2. Nice sitting on a knoll looking at the harbour while waiting for muggles before I could return the cache.

The Devonport cycleway is a very scenic and pleasant ride, which I have done often at lunchtime. Great idea to put some multi's along here and Phillapillar's idea with the bugs is great. This would also be neat to do with kids. I had to sort out some little teething problems with PhP, but managed to finish it with her help. Great fun. I am sure after this weekend it will be even better. T4TC
Too fine outside to be in the office today so what better than a bit of Caching. Turned out very hot and TT missed the AirCon.
Missed that the cache was disabled and was able to read enough to get through it. School holidays delivered waves of muggles and Cache was a bit exposed. Pay to check TT's rehide.
Thanks Phillapillar for the obvious work and interesting concept.

Decided to do this on my early morning run, after our family success with GeoBugs 2 yesterday. Not too hard- yes, the co-ords are a bit out on WP1, but the clue was good. So still there at about 8 this morning. Other WPs just fine, but a few muggles about at that time of morning!
