Sweet place to visit. I should of placed a replacement to keep this special place in the game.
Hard walk up but no cache to be found. There has been a cleanup and grass cut around the hiding spot and it has gone I am sure.
After a 'hard' walk up we couldn't find it... we think, it has gone... if it helps, we can send you a pic where we searched...
Lovely setting, but couldn't find. The heavy rain that set in didn't help matters, so we scurried back to the dry car.
Found it during my kiwi traveling TFTC

Good day for a walk up the hill, then back down to get the pen in the car, and still a good day for another walk up the hill. Kia ora for the cache Bitsprayer.
We have been here to visit the old graveyard and because this container had been big enough we put "Honig Bär aus Deutschland" (TB3M3JK) here.
Short Stopover on the way to the glaciers - very interesting place. TFTC and TB in.

Last half of holiday trip in New Zealand. Starting again from Queenstown going Westcoast up and Eastcoast down.. Nice things seem to be found here. First it looked like all day raining, but then we sometimes had good conditions. Thanks for the nice trip.
We picked this one up today,
Thanks for the cache Bitsprayer,

Day 17 of our NZ tour for the MEGA, currently travelling from Franz Josef to Hokitika giving the West Coast a 2nd chance after our earlier visit being rained out! What magnificent weather was turned on for us today. The best we have had in our 17 days and it got up to 17degrees which was positively WARM in the car.
Uggh. Mrs Felix wasn't keen on this hill after already walking quite a few to get to the Glacier. But there was a cache at the top so off she led.
Mr Felix was left to retrieve the cache though whilst Mrs Felix rested on the conveniently placed seat and took some photographs.

Stayed in Hoki last night, and heading south towards Dunedin. Pulled in here at Ross to grab a cache on the journey south. A pleasant walk up the steep path to the cemetery where I spotted the likely spot for a distance. Amazed that the oldest grave we found was aged 43, is there something in the water here that doesn't agree with the locals? Thanks Bitsprayer.
We had been to Ross before but not to the cemetery. Enjoyed the walk up and wander around. No problem with the cache which was just where the GPS said it would be. Misty view but still good from GZ. Rain started as we left, so a quicker walk back to the car. Thanks.
Our first cache. Yeah. And we've walked past it soooo many times without knowing it's there. Thank you!
1st find for the day. On honeymoon, found this before popping in and seeing some family. TFTC
A quick evening find while staying here before attempting to get to the Mt Greenland gold stamper. I also found that we gained cell phone reception up here. A great evening view.
What a peaceful spot with a lovely view. Well worth the short hike up the hill Tftc!
logged on my NZ tour in March ... cant remember the exact date thou - sorry but TFTC
2.10pm. Good view of Ross and always the distant roar of the sea. Cache was easy to locate.

Our previous visit to Ross was 25 years ago. It seems like not much has changed in the town since then. Great walk up to the cache & spectacular views out to the coast. TFTC
Good coordinates and hint made this one pretty easy. Nice little walk from the historical district and terrific views from GZ. TFTC!
A short walk up from the village and an interesting place to look around. The cache was a quick find.
Great late afternoon views over the township and a nice walk up to the cache - a short hunt provided us with the cache signed the log thanks for the cache now off to try and grab the earthcache info before it gets to dark or rains !!
A great little walk after completing a few caches in the area and grabbed this . Such great views from here but after a few pictures taken it was a quick dash to collect a few more smileys before rain and darkness caught up with us TFTC
Thanks for placing a cache here, we had no idea there was another cemetry in the area. Good view of town. Swaps made. TFTC
Found it easily, while completing the walkway. Was great weather and an interesting area. We also left Gollum here as he thought he might find his 'Precious' here.

Had to wait in the rain for muggles to depart. You're right it is a good view. The last time we passed through there was a big hole at this end of town. TFTC
Rain stopped long enough to get a view.

The climb up wasn't very restful, but the view was spectacular!
We left a travel bug whose intention is to travel around NZ, and took out a wooden knight (the chess variety!)
