Easy find tftc. No pen with me so scrawled name on log with a bit of charcoal found nearby.
Nice hide Groboz and an interesting bit of radio history - Thank you for sharing.
A road trip with my younger brother that I haven`` t seen for the last 6 years. Made me to do this trip. Between Yulara and Darwin we found lots of Geocache` s. It was an awesome trip that I will never forget. We have visited so many beautiful places and seen so much, love this place. Thanks for having me Australia, I certainly enjoy all the views and hidden treasures.

Today Pa was incredible - chauffeuring me along Cox Peninsula Road as we continue our wandering around northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs over Easter. I had planned on hunting for 20 caches and managed to find them all plus an extra that I really didn't think was a possibility. Some were quick DIDOs, others were absolutely mind blowing in that they took so much patience to find and others took us to the most amazing areas teaching us history that we were never taught in school.
Many thanks to all the COs who have placed any of these caches for us to find and enjoy. My name was added to the log as either Smittengranny, stamped or as SG in the small logs to save space.

Still travelling NT after the Red Centre Experience but now moving towards Birdsville in QLD for the Big Red Bash. Staying overnight at Tumbling waters so a day out exploring the Cox Peninsula today.

#7118 - 15:00; Day 21 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965, so signing logs as A.L.F.S. We had now reached Darwin, our most northerly port, after attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs. Today we planned to do some more caching in and around Darwin before heading out for a run to the Cox Peninsula to Wagait. A much better day today with 59 finds and only half as many DNFs, 5. All caches we located were in good order, including this one as we headed out along the Cox Peninsula Road. TFTC Groboz
Alice trip 2017. Day 19. Today Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I had a second day around Darwin, but we also went out to wagait beach along the Route 34 series, we even went though a fire.
Thanks.

13575. Next find of Day 11 of the Red Centre Experience Roadtrip. In Darwin.
I flew into Alice Springs to meet up with my caching mates Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n (signing mostly as ALFS) to attend the Red Centre Experience and then venture up north to Darwin and then east into Qld before heading south for home - a three week caching trek.
Next stop for the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and it was off to the next cache.

Day 2 of our (fitzy_1965, LuckyL10n, albida33 and myself) stay in Darwin. It was a mixed bag of a day with about 42 finds, but also about 30 DNF or DNA because of the DNF's, but or course you get that somedays.
The ones we found were a mixture of micro's and small and a lot were in interesting places. Caching in the NT is different to the southern states, so a day of 40 odd is a good return....especially with a bit of sightseeing thrown in as well.
Thanks for all the caches owners and the fun in grabbing them.

Quick drive by. Out for a caching road trip with Wpack01 for the day not too much rain for this time of year TFTC Groboz
After a short wander around getting gps to settle with 4% battery left on the phone, I gave up on the GPS and had a look around for potential hiding spots and soon had the cache in hand whilst Geo dog was chasing lizards.
Low and behold I didn't have my pen with me to fill in the logbook as it was in my other back pack, took a photo of log book as evidence and also dropped off a TB as there was none out this way.
Took nothing and restocked the cache with some small swag for the Geo kids so the lid was a bit tight to refit.

Found this one on our drive home back to Darwin, after completing most of the caches in the area. Interesting spot, which would have been nice to visit to see what was left of the station. Cache was well hidden and found after a short search. TFTC and a bit of ABC history.
Took me a few laps in the car (the GPS had the cache right on the road!), but once I was off the track it was a quick and easy find.
Today we had a big day of caching along the Cox Peninsula Road into Mandorah and beyond.
Coords were out by a few meters but we were still able to make a quick find.
An interesting location.

Today's mission is to cache the Cox Peninsular Road. Cache # 12. BF DeFCoN_6 & I left home @ 6:20am to make a day of it. It's not a competition (who am I kidding - YES it is!). Thx Groboz
Today we explored Cox Peninsula and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. Found in its hidy hole.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Damn! We trekked everywhere! Suspect the spot is hidden by some regrowth from recent fires.
After a spot of jetty fishing from a nearby jetty we looked to finding a cache on the way home. Coords were all over the place, so we needed to search. Recent fires also made it tricky. Anyway after about 25 mins it was located. Log signed and safely tucked away again.
Another find on our trek beach ward. Found thanks to the hint. Was concerned with some previous DNFs but all ok. Easy find in the end. Thanks.
GPS had us fair bang smack in the middle of the road for this one, so armed with the hint we went in search of the cache and had it in no time! TFTC
Spent the day in Mandorah and Waiget Beach, had several set to find. I think the Muggles of Mandorah were against us...because...
out of six searches, we had only found one, and this was not it. GZ had us right beside the road, but nothing jumped out at us with the magic words. even tried up around the gate, but to no avail. getting late in the day, and we still had not had lunch.
Wombat the Anthus laptop Geocoin wanted to visit, as did Runciple's Grasshopper, a Slovak Geocoin 2012, doc marten, and a man and his dog, a moose and a mammoth who wants to see sheep

My smartphone and tablet were giving conflicting messages about the co-ords. So some wasted time tramping the bush.
We weren't going to stop off for this one on our way back home, but after a DNF up the road, I just had to get my caching mojo back! Parked the car and then a few steps into the bush and I found a good cache guardian. Moved him aside and found me a cache. Signed the log and jumped back into the car for the trip home. TFTC
While waiting for our solar-powered car, I've been able to log this cache. TFTC and for the historic background.
Back on the road and heading to Mandorah for the day.
Another quick drive by cache out on the Cox Peninsula.

A very interesting bit of history behind those gates
I still felt nervous poking around down that dead end road though !!
I had already met some defence personnel back at Belyuen and didn't want to be ambushed poking around in here
But really, I need not have worried !!

We've been to Darwin before, but have never headed out this way. We spent a really enjoyable day on the Cox Peninsula today, and found a variety of caches.
We parked exactly on GZ (on the side of the road) and wondered if the cache was really underneath the car. After widening the search we had the cache in hand fairly quickly.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Fair (Around 9 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Car.
Thanks Groboz for the hunt today.

Out for a day with Windy 05 to find some caches. Was a bit worried about what else might be lurking in this dark stump, luckily we retrieved it without encountering anything nasty. T4TC
This cache took us a little longer but once we widened our search we found the hidy hole. Interesting location! TFTC Groboz.
I think we were looking in the wrong place for this one. The GPS had us in the middle of the road about 120 meters before the gate. After looking at the clue we decided the gate was were we needed to be so down we went. Didn't find a cache but came up with something better. Went back to the original spot with no luck. Have just checked the Satalite map and it looks like the original was the right spot, I guess we should have just looked harder.
A nice easy find while out touring around.Signed log and replaced,

There is a song, I don't like spiders and snakes . Well when you find both at the same time I worry. Thank god for the utensils found around the cache location to remove it.
Found on my WW2 geo weekend. Not really WW2 but it was along the way.

One of many found today. Took the longest time of them all - but perseverance paid off. Now if only my GPS didn't keep sending me round in circles. The Dutch solar car team was practising on the short part of the road leading to the old site.
Unfortunately the heat of the day, screaming kids and rumbling bellies drew us from this location without finding the cache. Looked really hard though, around and around and around... will go back another day.

Very well hidden. Walked past it once without noticing the spot as being a likely hiding place. In fact, this was my longest search of the day. Took geocoin to place at a new tourist destination. Thanks for the hunt.
Today was meant to be a CFD (caching free day) so the housework could get done. Well..... WanderingAus put a swift stop to that by publishing not one, but two, new caches within driving distance (sort of) . A lazy 250 Km round trip both caches were in hand and this was a cache along the way we had been meaning to get to. Not sure if the hint premonition as to what the barbed wire would do to the youngest geodaughters leg?
