Today Pero and Team C.S.L intend to go some "easy hiking",but turn out is another energy-consuming adventure.Bright sunny day and afterwards super-tired.
This one is the sixth find,6/10,following the path next to the "tunnel",and by geo-buddy help,we can locate the cache easily.Nice view and TFTC

Hiking with Team C.S.L. and Norpero. Thanks for taking me to this beautiful view. Tftc.
Nice quick walk around mount davis area. Coords were quite accurate. Roamed around the structures a bit then found a path up next to a 'tunnel'. What a nice view of high west and lamma island! Cache is easily spotted and in good condition. Thanks for leading me here and tftc
[452] Found by Michael2010Y after a bit of searching. Nice view of lamma!!!

Clear hint actually... However I just skipped that hiding place and searched somewhere else. So it took longer than expected. Could have been an easy find. TFTC anyways! Nice view here!
Ya....we were geoblind....Took a while to search different eave. Finally we grabbed it in the eave whether we searched at the beginning. TFTC!
There were groups of 'soldiers' here today, apparently taking photos. They warned me that there were some playing wargames, and to be careful, but I didn't come across any battles or get caught in crossfire. The cache was easily found. TFTC
I was getting tired by the time I got up here (having started at the excellent Jubilee Battery Cache) so I probably missed it. I notice that AirQ has had to archive the other Caches, that I had on my GPS, which is a shame (Muggled too many times - got a few like that here in England!). However, the whole Site (Mount Davis) is well worth a visit, as there are extensive Battery fortifications, along the whole route up to the summit - the biggest British Site (area wise), I think I've seen outside the UK - TFTC AirQ!
I also recommend you should also visit the HK Coastal Defence Museum at Shau Kei Wan. Well worth a few hours, to have a good look around!

My mum found it on a solo hike today, she says thanks and mentioned that she's hearing squirrels laughing nearby.

#6 of the day and found it.
Never know this place before... Great view here!! To be honest, after the fews "muggled" and DNF, we finally found one. At least we could leave the Mount Davis with 1 true found! yeah!

Had a good walk to that area. Glad that at least we found this one as a reward.
We explored different paths and I found the correct GZ. Then the cache was easily found.
Thanks for bringing us to this interesting battery.
Took the TB to the CITO event this afternoon.

Started from the Kennedy town side as I was in a hurry. T3 terrain maybe. =P
Good to find such a large military structure in HK. Very nice place. Everything goes well when I found the GZ.

AirQ, you really have some great GZs and this one is no exception. This was my first time to Mt Davis battery and Lilo0717 and I had the whole place to ourselves. I shot my heart out in all the creepy derelict buildings (with a camera, not a BB gun!) and we were amazed by the size of the area, after having hiked up here the back way up from the Kennedy town side (an adventure in itself - highly recommended). I wonder what this place would have been like when it was actively used.
The views from some of the bunkers across to Pok Fu Lam are impressive, even on a hazy day, and when we eventually reached the GZ (after we were so excited about the place that we almost left without looking for the cache) we found coordinates that were spot on!
This is what geocaching should be about! Well done and favourite for sure. Add some photos later if I remember.

[#571] A large area with lots to explore. Always a scenic view from CO. Thanks for taking me here and definitely deserves a fav. TFTC!

Finally have a chance to visit Mount Davis, in between a double header day.
CO is always the expert of military structure, every time I just follow his cache, then I can know a bit more the history, and most importantly, the view there is always that scenic!
But as usual, many people took wedding photo there, so I got a bit "distracted", haha.

Was raining pretty hard when we arrived GZ. Since both of us didn't bring umbrella, jchoi decided to waf so that we could manage to get this smiley before we got all wet. Very interesting place and I love it! TFTC!
very interesting spot with four couples shooting their wedding pictures here. however as the rain gets heavier, I decided to use the waf option and grabbed the smiley before two of us turned into duck in soup.TFTC!
I surprised even myself that I was able to find this one.

[810] Since I sprained my ankle two weeks before, I want some low terrain caches to feed my geo-hungry.
I want to hunt this cache long long time ago, but havn't take any action.
It was overcast, cool day, a day good for geocaching. I went with samshlau and Papriku (Fantastic 4 without wanrex ). Quick grab!

Visit there with team Salomon after Cheung Chau trip, on the way to battery, we saw 3 wedding pair taking photo there, what a famous place!
Another classic CO battery cache, the building is still in good shape!
Actually, i had been to there many times, when i learn motorbike before, it is one of the suggested training route, so much memory, and i really miss my motorbike...
For the cache, we can locate the most typical CO hide, but not luck....
Anyway, the gz is so good, thanks for bringing me there.

After the zhangzhoudao walk, team salomon demanded more so we headed towards Julibee Battery. The abandoned building now as a bat cave is funny but the adventure is relatively short. Then we went uphill for this but sad with a dnf. As confirmed w previous finder then cO, probably we did search the proper gz w the container being muggled

I don't think the cache is there any more, I found the exact GPS location, I got up to higher ground as suggested, found the only place where it could be (full of ants and a great spot for a cache as suggested), stuck my very long arms inside and couldn't find anything. I then took a video with the light on inside, looking all around the hole but when I played it back I couldn't see anything in there.
There was one laminated card inside, which I'll post as a picture, and I'll also post a picture I took from the assumed cache location so others can see if I was in the correct spot or not. Please note I took the pic FROM the location, not OF the location.
Otherwise a wonderful site! Must be the biggest military remains left in HK. If anyone is interested in seeing an underground bunker try the 'WWII Ammo Dump' GC in Tai Tam. The cache is actually outside but if you go in (and don't mind bats) it's a fascinating place.
Thanks! Hope someone can help locate this cache or replace it.

Hiked up from Jubilee Battery. Pretty easy once I had found the right level. Location was spot on, and pretty easy to find in an obvious location. TFTC.
Don't try to go to the cache from the highest point in the "mountain", otherwise you really getthe hard way. The cache was well hidden under something. Many Ants around it.

Surprisely the battery is a hot spot for wedding photos and war games. Both were going on when we arrvied.
The way to GZ should be easy and direct. But the path was blocked by the bride during our search and we took the hard way from triangulation station. Log photos should be helpful in finding the easy way.
The cache is well hidden at the side. Gloves, mirror or stick are useful in grabbing the box. Prepared to get yourself dirty if you have none of the above.
Stunning view from the cache especially during sunset. Enjoy and happy caching!

the walk up was worth it even though it was raining, took us a while to find it thanks for the cache!
This was a pretty easy one. The hike was hard though. We couldn't find it until we used the GPS coordinates. It was hidden nearby. The view from the top of the mountain was awesome, maybe even worth it. The cache was cleverly hidden. I even found a trackable key tag in the box. First one I ever found and seen. Pretty nice experience. If any of you people want to start a search for this cache, better look out carefully. Happy Geocaching!
Had a lot of fun walking up the mountain. When we reached the apex, the view was spectacular; the hike was definitely worth it (:
Found wf varmencarmen
A Quick Find With Splendid View if no Clouds!
I could not say I am an adventured, however, I Love Adventure
Time should not wasted! So I decided to follow the "Red Route" shown in OSM map climbing up to Mt Davis
At the starting point, stairs are available for the slope mainteinance next to the little children playground there, so we Jumped across it & Go
Then, no stairs & stopped on a junction We are boosted with courage so we chose the Hardest & Fastest Way! Climbed up to Mt Davis Path though a Little FOREST! Lots of spiders during our climb! My geo-muggle, or "Slain", walked at the front & destroyed the spider web
Spending about 25 minutes, finally we followed the pipe and Found the Mt Davis Path[^]Afterwards, Easy Walk To Mt Davis Battey!
However, I am not satisfied with that Varmencarmen followed the Road to Mt Davis~ Though I chose to rush up through ???, next to a round-shaped military installation!
Mad still, I "marched" to GZ through a overgrown route (Trench?!) Finally, GZ Arrived & Grab It
Personally, I love military installation very much! Love The GIANT Mt Davis Battey[^] My Favourite! TFTC!
P.S. 1 cache to 100 caches FOUND

We have gone through a pretty tough hike up from Silent Playground.
Very humid with a lot of spider webs in the woods.
Well, the hike was memorable.
Reaching GZ was easy. It is obvious that the cache should be hidden at the highest point!

This must be the biggest military installation I've seen so far in Hong Kong. Well it seems Mt Davis is one big military installation for that sake... I've seen several barracks, gun placements and other old buildings on my way to this cache. It continues to impress me how much effort people put into (preparing for) destroying other people.
Arriving at the battery at the peak a group of young men in camouflage uniforms were chatting near the pavilion. They saw me walk, and asked me whether I came to visit the battery, which I was, so one of them walked with me to call his buddies to stop shooting for a while. That was nice.
And about half hour later after I had found the cache and walked around the site I saw them preparing for their next fight.
Cache is very nicely hidden. Beautiful views from up there, even though the trees are getting a bit in the way. Content in good condition. TB not present in the cache. TNLNSL, TFTC!

Nice hide. Have visited Mt Davis many times and decided to give it another visit because of the cache. I was lucky that all the war games fans were gone. Views are still good, despite being blocked a bit by the heavy vegetation. No pen to sign and so attach photo instead.

Quite a hike from 'HK first bookcrossing cache'. By the time we had found the cache it was too late to have a good look around, which was a pity as the battery area is enormous, and looks very interesting.

Two of the team members of Catahamster found this cache. Challenging walk to the top of the mountain, but the view of the top was worth it! The battery looked interesting, and we would have liked to explore it more! My brother almost fell into through the open roof, though! The site was really cool, and it was fun briefly exploring the passages of the battery and where they lead. TFTC!
A cache with awesome views, a bunch of history, some very cool exploring, that never would have come here thing, and with a bit of imagination... a feeling of what it might have been like....
Oh.... and a great hide...
Thanks VERY much.
A great place for a cache, I really enjoyed this walk. I wonder if any vehicles have made it up the final part of the road!!! TFTC, dropped off a TB
[Lovely day, great find sitting up there with the breeze after running all the way up with a friend!
Pen didn't work so 'signed' it a bizarre fashion...
Cool history to the place! Mountain seems to be covered in war relics. Really interesting.
Took a cool wooden elephant... Left a bandaid??
Hammerlips, I was using an iPhone 4 too, with the 'geocaching intro' app. The signal does go off at times, but it resumes quickly and it was pretty much spot on for me?
I have looked before with an iPhone 3 which was terrible. But this time, managed to find it.
If you need a hint (wouldnt recommend looking at this unless you really can't find it!)] nice view from up here... Look underneath on the side - covered with geopile. [Might help?]

This was our first find, so a very excited 3yr old, 9yr old and 42yr old! It is a long walk up from the start of Mount Davis Path, so if you're with kids I suggest taxi up to the Youth Hostel. The walk back down to Victoria Road is fine.

I was running out of time as I had a flight to catch. I was 500 meters from the cache & had just found the road up. Do I go or do it next time. I could do this quickly as I only had 500 meters to go uphill!! So off I went although huffing & puffing at the top I found it. Took the Victoria path down & caught any bus going to Central. TFTH.

A well preverved historial place. Spent lots of time to visit those platforms and shelters after locating the cache. Some War Games muggles were enjoying their "wars" here. When I was heading back to the main road, I found there's a small path starting from Victoria Road which can lead you to the GZ directly. I added it into my log for more convenience access of furture geocachers

Last find of the day for Abedunk. Walked from GCJ16B towards Victoria Road and eventually found Mt. Davis Path. Started off early today while it was still cool, thankfully. It was hot with very little wind. Did the trip with Chigahung, and found the place fascinating. Unfortunately there is now a new fence that has been erected around the ammunition bunker so you can't get in (though it looks as though someone has tried by lifting the fence).

Again, we had a group geocaching today.
We went here after visiting HK First BookCrossing Cache.
The way to Mount Davis was much harder to find and access than expected. We finally had to get a taxi to the starting point of the Mount Davis Path. The construction work going on there should have stopped us. But thanks to the construction workers, they allowed us to pass the otherwise unpassable path and saved us some more walking along the pedestrian-unfriendly road.
The ruins were interesting and we spent a good time signing the cache, trading items, enjoying the views and taking photos.
