as the area has been relandscaped and replanted

We only found one flax bush in the vicinity of the coordinates but were unable to locate the cache. Put us down for a DNF on this one.

One of those moments when one person searches and completely misses the cache! I had stopped to use the nearby facilities, and thought Mr Winglen would have the find all sewn up when I arrived, but he was still searching. He had gone for the hint by now, told me what it said and I came up with the cache in the obvious and fairly visible place. Giggle giggle! Thanks glyn.

Wow. What an amazing area. If I could only win the lotto I could live here too. Clever hide allowed a retrieval and return without too much difficulty. Now we know what a flax tree is is should make some of the other caches easier to spot.

We were on a day trip and walk to Broken hills afterwards we saw there was some caches to do in the area so we knocked 10 off in the afternoon all nice quick finds

Quick find as the previous finder may have left it in the open, as seems to have been the case a few times today with the same cacher.

Got on second visit - the weather got me the first time. Some seriously large houses in the vicinity. TFTC

Yet again another cache i located on a camp atleast 9 months ago. So unsure of the date.

Very sneaky grab as muggles about TFTC

some of the houses out here look so big I bet they wouldnt notice if we moved in down one end and kept the noise down. The cache was tucked away nicely, so it actually took some time to find, we placed it back in its nice hidey spot, then headed out onto the flats for a good game of hunt the crabs. TFTC.

The toilets are in keeping with then surrounding houses. But would you really want to live here?[

this house is scarily big... don't understand how people can spend so much on a house! thanks for the cache though - no worries with the find the logbook for this one and the waterfall one furhter up the road seem to have been switched at some point, possibly when being made? thanks again

An eayfind after we sorted out which road to use.
Not a lot of people about, must have been Dole day.

Finnaly found this one as the clue made no sence. decided later that evening that if i was to check my notes closer and use the corect clue. All made sence when I found the other alf living somewhere else. TFTC

we searched high an low round the only flax in the garden an we couldn't find this one. Our only DNF for the day.

While on school camp with my class we made 'caching' one of the Thursday afternoon activities. Kids found this one very easily, even in the rain. They loved the hunt. TFTC.

Nice to make a visit to this part of the world after a few years. Thought we would take a stroll to grab a few and get our bearings. This area is so out of keeping with the rest of the older Pauanui I have no idea why the Council approved it? (Well I guess I do know)TFTC

Found with Little Blue Hen.Noticed the reduced price on a section on the way in $545000 - not tempted at all. TFTC felt a bit boatless so departed.

Easy find with few muggles in sight during our early morning visit. One of the previous logs hit the nail on the head " poor buggars don't know the fun they could have caching". T4TC.

Our first cache of the holidays! Had to visit at a quiet time of day, and found it fairly easily.

We found the cache pretty quickly and were extremely jealous of the way the other half live. Even down to the youths water skiing - they were having a ball. Wished we were young enough and fit enough ( and silly enough!) to get up to their antics! Left a WWFM. TFTC.

Great cache to find. Can find this without a GPS, just look at the clue. Nice place for a picnic as well.
Took out a dice,little car, plastic toy.
Put in Bubbles,Badge,small pen.
Wrote in the log.

In the year I lived in Pauanui I use to drive up and down the waterways dreaming owning a house in there. Im still dreaming LOL. Easy find TFTC

We did the ARC 8, an 8-hour adventure race organised by Adventure Racing Coromandel the day before (see arcevents.co.nz). This was a good way of stretching the legs after all the effort earlier. Others, who did the 24 hour option were still racing, so we had some time to fill in before the prizegiving anyway. We are eating and spending our bickies. Thanks a lot, looking at it is free and it does the trick for us. The tent was perfect to sleep in after the race. Thanks again, Glyn.

All rather too manicured for our liking. We prefer the more rustic baches round the coast, so the 'uvver arf' can keep it! Sat to enjoy the views over the water whilst logging the find. SL. TFTC.

We couldn't agree more! This place definitely mixes boating, housing and a nice green lawn/park to perfection. A beautiful place that makes one want to sit and watch the boats come and go all day. TFTC.

Weather gods took some revenge on us. Made a quick find, but then the heavens opened up again. Managed to keep the logbook and cache contents dry. At least we can aspire to, Ow Da Uvver Arf Liv.

Nice spot down by the water to have some lunch and watch the goings-on. The rich (and famous?) seem to like massive jetskis, kayaks, or giant launches from what we could see in the 20 min or so we were there.

Umm we reckon we could probably afford a garage here. What a display of wealth - would we want a place here - no thanks. Thanks for the tour though, had to do a bit of too and fro driving to end up in the right spot. TFTC

Already spotted Cookie Monster up at the waterfall, not in residence here.

So this is where the other arf live, at least these one's get street lights....there's a dire shortage of them around the rest of the town. Early morning visit with a lone kayaker paddling down the waterway, not a ripple on the water. Lovely spot. Thanks for the cache and FTF, it's been a long time since we were here last and we've enjoyed our tour of the beach resort but are surprised that it hasn't really gone ahead as much as we expected, considering the amount of people that are jammed in here. We wouldn't swap it for our uncrowded wide open spaces.
