The replacement cache is good to go, I've revamped the whole multi as well so I'll create a new listing for it.

31-Dec-13
Stopped by to check on the cache whilst in the area, all is well Smile I have plans to revamp and replace this cache within the next few months so stay tuned.

20-Dec-13
Fun cache:)

28-Nov-13
This was an enjoyable multi and one that worked first time round. I was surprised by the size but now I have read the description and realise why. It's great when others help out and I am thankful that there was a container there.
A really pretty spot that I have visited before when out bush walking but had not made the connection to the name.

29-Sep-13
It was a lovely day for a picnic today so there was a few muggles around. We had to be careful. The water was flowing today. A very pretty area. Thanks Team Ninja.

01-Sep-13
Was on a bushwalk with a group of people, as they relaxed by the parking area I ducked off to find this one. Didn't need the GPS as I could remember where I had searched in vain earlier.

31-Aug-13
Very keen to get this one - it has never been the right time to do it. Only a couple of muggles about so it was a quick calculation and find. I didn't try the water - I know it will be disgusting. TFTC Team_Ninja

28-Aug-13
TFTC being from Tipperary in Ireland was a must see spot while in daylesford great cache thanks

30-Jul-13
Thanks to suss vulture for replacing the cache! I'll drop by when I can to upgrade the cache container to a larger size.

01-Jul-13
It's a long way to Tipperary ..., but while spending a long weekend in Daylesford, it was just a short trip for us today. It is a very nice area with an impressive "feature" tree in the parking area.

We have placed a small temporary replacement cache at GZ (micro) so other cachers can log their find until the CO finds the time for maintenance. We have sent more details to the CO.

Thanks Team Ninja for bringing us here. We left with a bottle of effervescent water. Quite drinkable.

01-May-13
With it clearly missing and not maint. it's time to archive.

01-Feb-13
Sounds like it's gone. I can't make it there to replace the cache until December unfortunately but I'll replace the cache and might revamp the multi part of it then.

31-Jan-13
I poked around for a while where the numbers led me, but I couldn't find a cache Sad

03-Jan-13
We'd arrived at the springs with plans for a bit of a splash with the kids, and I pulled out the GPSr with intentions of dropping off a moveable cache I had in my possession, and then noticed the multi... Was confused by the name at first (der. I'm a bit slow apparently), and then made the calculations and wandered off to GZ while the kids played. But I have to agree with Danozz that I couldn't seem to find the cache. Despite trying numerous spots nothing seemed to be there, especially not a good sized ammo box. With no finds in over 6 months it might be time for a check up....

The new bridge also means that a revisit of the description and terrain rating might be in order too Smile

Thanks for the trip however - Ended up spending quite a bit of time here with the kids swimming, clambering, examining yabbies and generally mucking around.

02-Oct-12
Hi Team Ninja, I had a go at this multi but didn't manage to succeed. I did the multi maths and walked up the short distance to the indicated spot. I checked all the tree bases but couldn't pick out a container on the ground. Did a lot of expanding circles checking the vicinity, in case my GPS was off, but I didn't spot the cache. Went back to check my calculations on the way out, and I came up with the same empty spot.

28-Apr-12
Surprisingly not what I expected when I read the title. Was hoping for an adventure crossing the creek but only a trickle flowing today, so a quick find. Thanks

12-Apr-12
Great spot and not what we expected from the title. Lovely day and creek easily negotiated without wet feet. Quick find. cache safe and dry. TFTCSL

12-Apr-12
Nice quick multi with bkj97. Good spot to picnic. T4TCSL

03-Jan-12
Dropped by to do some TLC while in the area recently. The cache is safe and dry, however I wasn't after wading across the creek! There's still no sign of the bridge being replaced, so the cache info has been updated to reflect this.

11-Apr-11
Tried to access this cache however the bridge has beeen swept some metres downstream. Would probably get wet making the attempt however may try again. Lots of damage to the car park and stream.

24-Jan-11
This is more of a challenge to access as the bridge is no more. We could have probably waded across but decided not to at this time. We found the bridge 20 or 30 metres down the creek. A large part of the car park is seriously damaged and the toilets are out of action due to recent flooding. I'll try to get some photos up soon.

01-Jan-11
3 of 4 today. Our first ever Multi-Cache. We have been coming here for years so it was great to have a little adventure after a nice picnic lunch. TFTC

08-Nov-10
Went off on a wild goose chase, so I too went back and checked my calculations. Cant count Wink Found it easily the second time around.
For people who don't know the spot, pack some lunch and have a great BBQ here. It is a popular spot on the weekends.
It is also considered one of the best mineral springs by the locals.

Why would somebody place a cache at a tip? But hey, I'm on a caching numbers run and any cache is a good cache? Right?

Got to the given coords to find something totally different to what I was expecting. Worked through the required information but the final numbers didn't seem right, back to the car to check the requirements, all was good.

I then trotted of up the hill and found the cache.

Thanks Team_Ninja, et al for brining me here. (I nearly bypassed this cache due to the name, but gave it a go because it was a multi.)

It's a long way to Tipperary,
It's a long way to go.
It's a long way to Tipperary
To the sweetest girl I know!
Goodbye Piccadilly,
Farewell Leicester Square!
It's a long long way to Tipperary,
But my heart's right there.

It was'nt really a long way but lucky there was a higher bridge as the water approach was well under water!!

A short walk and the cache was soon at hand.

16-Apr-10
After a very long search, we couldn't find it & gave up. Very dissapointing! We followed GPS coordinates precisely & checked every centimetre of the area using the hint provided but nothing. We even checked under the bridge! It is a very public area so it's possible that someone may have removed the cache.

05-Apr-10
Nice place. Wouldn't mind doing a few walks around the area in future. TFTC

29-Mar-10
Nice easy find. We first attacked this cache by heading down the rubbage tip road, then after a brief read on the notes, we figured we were on the wrong road. A quick adjustment lead us on the correct road and then a quickly working out the co-ords and a quick walk up the hill the cache was in hand.

14-Feb-10
A day out in the Daylesford area resulted in a number of finds and even more laughs, while in the company of sully1. A quick find and log in this gem of an area. Worth the extra time to stop for a picnic, however for us it was off to find more. TFTC TNLNSL

14-Feb-10
Quick, easy find with micaparamedic on a run to Daylesford and beyond. TNLNSL. Thanks for the Cache

Missed the Info Board but picked up the info along the way from "It's a long way" . GPSr was spot on for this one and cooling afternoon had got rid of all but 1 car of muggles below.

Did round trip on foot from "It's a long way" via "Trip to the tip" on W side track to Bryce's Flat, then E side Dry Diggings Track to "Blow your mind" and also back to start. Interesting walk as it weaves around above the stream through glades, rock outcrops, mining etc.

Cool Highly recommended threesome of caches by foot - say 2.5 - 3 hours walking plus cache time. Mtn bikes are forbidden on these tracks.

Found by Peter @ 1020 hrs, collected the information, with coords for GZ in the GPSr I set out to seek the cache. Only to find that again I was being led astray and was being pointed to as spot about 15 metres away from the hide. With GPSr in my pocket I did a grid search of all likely places. I located the cache on my 4th or 5th suspect area. Success was mine. Back to the Geo-patrol collected the bottles to fill with Mineral Water.

A nice little multi! Your co-ords for GZ were spot on. Very nicely cammo'd cache too - if people leave it like I found it there's very little chance of being muggled! Well done.

17-Oct-09
Well, my initial thoughts were, why would anyone want to place a cache at the local tip! Well, how wrong was I? The co-ords were spot on (unlike our previous find for the day) and the spot certainly was a lot more beautiful than any "tip" I've been to! TNLN, TFTC!

17-Oct-09
Speedy Stamps and Bushfire ventured up to Ballan and Daylesford for a day of caching. We had a great day discovering some wonderful locations and two disappointments. The first was “Its a long way†GCP3WE and when you read the logs just about every cacher who has found it has had problems with the coordinates as we were 35m out and only found the cache by reading the PDA for the hint.

Our only other problem was Daylesford Showgrounds where the previous three cachers recorded a DNF and we will be the fourth, not saying it’s not there!

We arrived here at 16.30 in another lovely spot and gathered the required answers and off we went for an easy find as this time the co-ords were spot on. Great to see running water every where we went today. NI-NO thanks for the cache.

08-Jul-09
I had a friend of my son's with me, and I did wonder if the "tip" was going to be a scenic experience, but I needn't have worried. We worked the clues and had the cache in hand a few minutes later in a very scenic area.

Team_Ninja, TeamGeoPlek and LastoftheTimeLords. Great place.

24-Jun-09
As I approached this cache I thought to myself "ahhh THAT tip!" I have walked in the area a bit over the years but don't recall having been to this particular place. The info was soon found as was the cache not too long afterwards. Thanks Team_ninja for putting a cache here.

07-Jun-09
Gotta love a short multi in a nice spot. It was yet another place I wouldn't have made it to if I wasn't searching for a container somewhere in the bush. Thanks for drawing me there.

21-Mar-09
We found our 19th Team Ninja cache at 4:00pm as the 17th of 27 on our Daylesford Springland Tour. I had only read the name of the cache before coming to this one and I have to admit that I thought, that this was going to be a rubbish cache. On arrival though, exactly the opposite was true. I beautiful spot and a nice and sensible multi lay out too. Thanks for the cache from D,H & A B-A.

21-Mar-09
Found at 11.10am GAFF5 on our "Fix the Coromal and keep going" weekend in the company of Phetlern and Squalid.
We were looking for the local tip just a few minutes earlier to offload the previous nights accumulation of rubbish and empty bottles - gee those guys can drink - but when we arrived here we found a lovely area with interesting tracks that needed to be explored. Thanks guys for showing us this spot.

21-Mar-09
Found by Squalid husband in the company of pprass and Phetlern. A quick find in a nice spot. TFTC.

21-Mar-09
11:15
We thought this cache might be a load of rubbish, but with pprass heading off from the last cache in the wrong direction we soon realised our destination was another very pleasant picnic area.
We were privileged to be part of a small group of geo-cachers using the crater of Mt. Franklin as a base for exploring some nearby caches. Mount Franklin is a fine example of a breached scoria cone. No doubt the activity over the weekend was vastly different to the activity at the site around 10000 years ago.

12-Jan-09
Finally getting around to logging these finds after a 2 week road trip (over 100 caches to log [XX(] )

Thought we would settle the geoteens down in the park while we tackled the cache. Ended up taking more time to do this than to find the cache as it was a very quick find.

04-Jan-09
Nice quick find in a nice location, have been to Daylesford countless times but never to this location. Thanks for bringing us here and next time we may do dome of the buhwalks listed on the info board. TNLNSL TFTC

21-Dec-08
8th find of the day and 1681st total find at 16:41.

Nice spot for a picnic lunch. Even though there were a few people enjoying the fine weather, we had no difficulty grabbing the cache.

Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Grabbed: TB Feep #4 Max
Thanks for the cache!

25-Oct-08
A quick easy cache. Information was gathered quickly, and cache retrieved with a minimum of huffing & puffing. Retrieved the geocoin to help fulfill its objectives, before heading back down the hill.

Enjoyed the taste of the water on GZ side of the creek, so stocked up before continuing on.

Thanks!

05-Oct-08
Being a glorious sunny Sunday, and the first day of extended daylight savings, we decided to head out and do some bushwalking, and as usual, we aimed for a track where we might be able to pick up a cache. We parked at the Lake Daylesford car park, and headed off on the Tipperary trail. The trail is 16km long, and the 5km section to Bryces Flat has track on both sides of the creek, and so makes for a good return loop.

There was lots of evidences of past mining activity on both sides, though there was not as much wildlife as we are use to seeing. Perhaps there were too many people on the track.

When we got to Tipperary Springs (where the cache is) for the second time, and on the right side of the creek, Jen's feet were a little worse for wear so she and the boy kept moving whilst the ferret and I completed the quick multi and found the cache.

Dropped in the "Gone Bushwalking" coin, and this cache seemed to fit well into the mission of Bushwalking caches.

We managed to get back to the car with plenty of daylight, but we had made use of the extended daylight hour. Not sure how any of us will go getting out of bed tomorrow though.

No swaps. Thanks for the cache.

So good to see the creek running so well. It really does look pretty at the moment. Also great to pick up a cache in one of my favourite walking areas near to home. Done this track heaps of times and enjoyed it each time. Took nothing but left TB. A nice easy find. Many thanks.

A nice day out in Daylesford. The creek looked good taday and the cache was found quickly and well hidden closer than we expected.

Found at 12:45pm with quite a number of friends experiencing their first geocache. Lucky we found it!
Passed by this spot on one of our bushwalks before this cache was here.

14-May-08
This "tip" was somewhat more pleasant than others we have visited when caching.
a nice simple multi- well done as it took us to this lovely spot and gave us a little exercise for our bodies and minds. We took the cards and left a queen and a frog as the cache was loooking a little bare and boring. TFTC

11-May-08
Last cach for the day a jogging muggle surprised us all good thanks gies. TNLN

Only a short walk but well hidden. Thanks.

Found by Mary & David at 1750. We certainly haven't been here before, and enjoyed a new place to explore. Mary tasted the water and pronounced it rusty, so must have had traces of iron. Not too bad really. TNLN. Our thanks to Team Ninja and TeamGeoPlesk.

06-Apr-08
Nice work on this multi. The location you have chosen is very good, the information required to collect is interesting and you've placed a nice big cache for people to find! When I arrived there was a couple just leaving so I had the place to myself. There was a little bit of water in the spring but I don't think I got to see it in all its glory.

Thanks again for the good work,

R - B

30-Mar-08
Found at 1530. After just completing one of the shortest distance multi's ever, this one wasn't that much further. Calculated the coords, then made the quick dash up to grab the cache. Another fantastic area which I would love to return to explore further.

21-Mar-08
Found with the family on the way to my parents for Easter.
After finding the reqd clues, I quickly decoded the formula and we then slowly made our way to GZ whilst taking in the surrounding splendor of nature!!
Found easily. Find # 382. TNLNSL. 11.30am.
Nicely hidden too!!
Thanks alot!

15-Mar-08
Found 8.45am
What better way to start a days caching than a quick multi at the tip. Been to this watering hole before but last time there was water!!!! The short brisk walk soon found us logging the cache and it was back into town for a latte.

Took Nothing
Left A "Keeper of Time" + 3D Stickers

14-Mar-08
3rd cache for the day.
I was worried that this was actually going to be a trip to a rubbish tip, but it couldn't have been more the opposite.
A lovely area, that would be really nice with a bit of greenery and more water.
I pumped some water at the spring into my hand but it smelled rusty, so there was no way I was drinking that.
Collected the co-ords from the sign, and cache found after the walk up the hill.
Picked up a Pet Rock Travel Bug (not actually a TB, it just gets moved around and the owner is contacted)
I'll be back here again.
Thanks Team_Ninja and TeamGeoPlesk

09-Mar-08
Found 12:15, another great location, unfortunatley there was no water in the spring Twisted

TNLN, CSi=3, thanks Team_Ninja and TeamGeoPlesk.

6th of 11 for the day with Mrs1SR. Found at 1230hrs. A nice easy find in a great park. we ate our desert here that we purchased at the bakery in town.
Grabbed TB and will move him along soon.

20-Jan-08
We used to visit this park many years ago and it's always a pleasure to return. We collected the information required and were very happy to find the cache located away from muggle eyes. The co-ords were spot on and we located the cache in the first place we looked.
We swapped tb's
Thanks for bringing us back here and for an excellent first cache

06-Jan-08
It is nice that a couple of new caches have been placed in Daylesford as this area was a favourite when I first started out. I have been to the other end of these springs before but not this end and it was a bit disappointing that I could not sample the waters after finding the cache. Lovely spot at 9.30am with Mrs F and I the only ones about. Thanks for the cache. TNLN

05-Jan-08
2.30pm
Found by Roma and Max.
We were pleased to see another 2 caches published relatively close to home and with nothing planned for this afternoon it was into the geo mobile and on our way. We always enjoy visiting this township, in particular the Pastry King Cafe, where we can recommend both the pastry and the coffee!
We gathered the necessary numbers at the posted co-ordinates and set off for GZ.
On our approach with about 40m to go we came upon some 50 odd people engaged in what appeared to be a meeting, somewhat like an AA assembly, with individual speakers addressing the group. However as we started our ascent they were lost to view!
We made our find, signed the log, left a Mondo Figurine for the cache and took a Necklet for a memento.
Thanks Team_Ninja and TeamGeoPlesk for placing this cache.
Romax.
