Has needed maintenance for a while, and as I am not able to myself, have decided to archive this cache.
Family is out of town, so a day free to go caching. Nice park but stealth needed- the neighbor was wondering what I was doing in the garden outside their window. TFTC!
The little dog near by didn't give
me away. Thankfully nobody saw me grovelling on the ground on my hands and knees. It needs maintenance. BYOP.

13th find for the 31 days of Geocaching. Log a little wet but not too bad. TFTC.
Would help if I was looking in the right bush. Dog started yapping so thought I'd go home, but then thought, hmmm that looks like a good bush to hide under and there it was! Now just to get to it. TFTC
Thanks for the note about the damp log. Just working out how we can get things sorted with minimal fuss. Cheers.
Think that this was my last cache of the morning as nearby houses were starting to come alive in the last of the darktime. soon had the cache in hand and time to head back to the motel

Great little hide. Close to friends house. Who would have thought.
Only one "swap" inside cache but fun to find.
We didn't sign the log as we didn't have a pen/pencil. Cache large enough to house one though.

Whilst I was searching I got muggled by three local kids who asked what I was doing. They knew about the geocache but when I asked for their help they couldn't remember where it was. They disappeared and shortly after reappeared with a parent who was somewhat scepticale of my geocaching explanation. Oh well, so I departed the scene before he called the constabulary.. Interesting that the yappie little dog was absent.
Quick easy find although was a bit concerned the four legged yapper was going to foil my day. Nice little park for the kids. Thanks for the hide.
Perfect, a cache in a playground. My wee cachelet went to play as I ducked into a bush. This 'box in a bush' was great. The canopy of the bush was nice and underneath was dry. The cache was in good nick, thanks to the make shift maintenance by a previous cacher. Thanks for the cache third of seven for an afternoon's cache. Now to get some ice creams...

TFTC - cache was quite damp. I replaced the (damp) bag, and removed moisture from container. Log paper could probably do with replacing...

Epic failure by Miss Geckoh who couldn't get a clear GPS reading, Mr Geckoh had to step up or crawl down as the case may be. Managed to avoid being caught by the dog through the fence. Sneaky hide, wonder if the neighbours know about it. TFTC

Mum and I spent the day with furpurse caching on the way out to Lincoln to attend the 12-12-12 Event.
The cache was a bit wet inside and the pieces of paper weren’t in a bag so were damp. We added an old bag from the car so hopefully the paper will survive a bit longer. Nothing out but furpurse was happy to find a cache big enough for some swaps he had brought. Thanks for the cache

Was looking for this cache when suddenly swarmed by about 8 kids - the oldest being still primary school age. You're Geocaching.... we found it and re-hid it so we know where it is - it is in that bush over there. There is another cache by our cousin's place it's in a hollow tree and Dad has to lift me up to get it. There is one by our house that we have shifted so only us know about it too. We took our best toy to a cache to swap but there were only moldy old toys in it. Some caches are really small and only have a piece of paper in them. Why do you want to go Geocaching?
The cache still seemed to fit within 3m of GZ co-ordinates and description.... but it still may pay to check on the cache and see if it is anywhere near where it should be because the locals sure know about it! It was a bit damp and the log was just a sheet of paper and not bagged.

A nice warm and sunny day which invited me to get some caches. Thanks for showing this area!

After a great week was had touring around the South Island with Roostaman...including attending the mega event in Dunedin...we spent today finding some caches in and around this beautiful city of Christchurch. Once at GZ...the cache didn't take too long to find...even though we found it 25m from where our GPS was pointing us to be. As the log was no where to be seen...we added a scrap of paper so we could sign our name.

What? I headed out to cache on a road that post-quake I used to get to the new location of my work (avoiding traffic snarls along with over and under bridges but taking the longer but quicker country route). What a change along here in the months since coming through town was viable again! There is a new roundabout where you turn of the main arterial road and indications of a new subdivision on the southern side of that road.
All was quiet the Grandad's Park, though quite waterlogged in places. Quite a neat little area, explored a bit and on the other side of the line of greenery from the kids playground is an seat under a substanial gazebo. Soon located the cache and took it to the nearby seat (playground side) for signing. As I did that dog over the fence started up.
Had hopes that despite all the rain the cache would be dry as I found it up off the ground a bit. But sadly the stash was/were dabbling their toes in quite a puddle at the bottom of the container. The bag for the book is no longer effective, but luckily it was sitting on top of the stash so did an OK job at deflecting the water. The log book itself is quite damp, bit not wet, and signable with a pen. Spiral of book is quite rusty so the water has been an issue for a while.
Managed to replace the cache without attracting the attention of the dog again.
Headed out West along the arterial road - and encountered another new roundable. Progress!?
Thanks for the cache.
(editted for local no US date! grr!)

See found log.
With all the rain lately the raised and mostly sheltered position is not coping well with keeping the water out.

Wasn't going to get this one today but with all the traffic changes going on and roads that are closed off couldn't get to my initial destination so took a chance on this one. No one around just on dusk but the dog next door did bark on my first attempt so made a quick retreat until it moved and then quietly snuck back in to get the cache. It is really damp inside as is the log book but I managed to sign. Took the travel ingot as the split ring has rusted and turning everything brown that it comes in contact with. Will dry it and replace with new split ring asap and move on. Contents of cache are also damp - sorry didn't have time to dry out as on way home and traffic is heavy. Thanks for interesting location. Kiwicampnut
Cache rather wet. I poured out the water- I think container has a leak. Log book was damp - just write-able with sharpie.
I am in NZ to visit my Grandsons so this was a very appropriate cache to find and walking distance from their home! Grandads of the world unite. Left Geocoin. TFTC.
A nice little park. A little dog strated barking at me through the fence when I arrived but stopped when I found the cache. Maybe he was trying to tell me something. TNLN SL TFTC

We finally got back to find it after 3 years of driving near by and not looking . No muggles around so an easy find. TFTC
Tried to get to this 4 times - put the right co-ordinates in this time - easy find LGM
An afternoon of geocaching with Graemey (father in law from the UK) and my 6 yr old son. After leaving this one to the grandad in our group we had to call in the troups to help hunt, I actually spotted this one first - woof woof TFTC
We took a long time to find this cache as we searched the bush areas!!! but eventually found it with the help of the dog.Found by Ben,Richbritty(CHCH) and graemey from UK.TFTC.Nice Hide
Easily found. The log was damp but able to be signed. Drained some water from the cache. TFTC.
DNF - mostly because of confusing clue and muggles everywhere - next door dog wasn't helping. Will try again another day.
easy find despite the the next door neighbours dog trying his best to attract attention to us
Water gone, sand volcanoes in the park. Great to finally knock this one off as it's eluded me for so long. Like many that you revist over and over, now that I've found it, the only explanation I have for not having found it must be that I'm an idiot!
Log is wet.

I'm not sure about bringing the kids here for a while. Looked like nasty 'liquefaction' happening around the place with nasty smelling water spurting from mounds of grey silty mud. I picked my way past these and found the cache safe though. My thoughts go to all the people of Christchurch that have been affected by this most recent disaster. TFTC, Biggles.
TFTC. Quick find, surprisingly few junior muggles about the place.

Found this one without a gps.... knew i was looking in the right place thanks to the yappy dog !
Nice quick find. The whole neighbourhood must know when the cache is visited thanks to the yappy dog! ha ha
6th cache of our cyclocache tour today. A bit of hunting about to find it not helped by the neighbours yappy dog through the fence.
The cache is wet, tipped few drops of water out of it, found a but of dry log to write on.
No one in the park today.

GPS gave co-ordinates that were quite a way away from hiding spot, but nice reserve, TFTC
What a cute little park! The cache was soaked which made signing it with out ripping the book a challenge! TFTC!
The yapping dog meters on the other side of the fence saw me hurry thid one. TFTC
Easy find. The cache needs some maintence. The log and swaps are wet and the pencil needs replaceing. Thanks for the cache

Good fun. No problems and cache sooon in hand. CACHE WET, log damp and could use a new plastic bag. SL TFTC
I think a friend of mine used to live around here. I also had a quick look at the house for sale sign. Nice day to go cache hunting. Find #3. TFTC.
Our first cache as a new hunting family! Found it soon after under the bush in the small reserve
About 5th or 6th try. Still no luck. Even sat on swing, thought like a cacher, and dived in somewhere new. This was a few metres off GZ and no logs have said GZ is out so ... I dunno. Maybe it is in the grasses as indicated, but if so, too close to the house for my liking.
Relegated once more to the 'too hard' bin for me.

Dog on the other side of the fence apparently doesn't like geocachers. Nice wee park. Thanks.
#1791 Was a bit dubious about looking for this one as it was nearly in someones garden by their back door. Anyway, I did and duly logged a find. DS8300
Found it - finally! This was supposed to be an easy cache, yet today was my fifth attempt! The first few times I was hopeful, always expecting to find it. The fourth time I came in the rain, looked desperately for ten minutes, and left frustrated. Today, I decided to try being more thoughtful about the endeavour. I had always got to GZ fine, but each time I missed the cache. So, I decided to sit on the swing, look at the area, and think like someone who was hiding a cache. Just a minute or two later, I realised where it had to be. I had been fixated on the wrong place, searching over and over, expecting to find it there!
Unfortunately, there were loads of muggles along the street and in the house nextdoor, so I had to sit on the swing a little longer, raring to dive into the bushes. The moment they were all gone or not looking I went in, and found the cache immediately. The feeling of a find after four DNFs on the one cache is highly addictive - I think I'm well and truly hooked on geocaching now!
So finally, as I wrote in the log book: Veni, veni, veni, veni, veni, Vidi, Vici!

Out Geocaching with Little Horrible..A small group of small muggles were playing in the park so a bit of stealth was employed. They moved away briefly and we found it.Left a Blue Butterfly TN The little barking dog made his apperance when we were putting it back.Meanwhile the young muggles came back and told us the dogs name is Missy.TFTC.
Lots of little muggles playing here. In the bushes and everywhere. They must have come across the cache at some point.Dog (missy) didnt bark to begin with. 10th today.
