I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement - one or more of the following applies:

- Cache Owner unable to maintain cache
- No response from the cache owner.
- No cache to find or log to sign.
- It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
- Cache has been abandoned by cache owner/cache in disrepair

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include GC number in cache name) and, assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

If there are components or remnants of the cache and you haven't already done so, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Geotrash.

Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

25-Jun-15
The owner has not log onto the website since Feb2014 or found a cache since March2012.
So I guess 'She Me & the Dog' not going to replace it.

As my log back in dec2014 and 'CaDoToHa's' log it is missing.
The ball need rolling to archive this cache

25-Jun-15
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.

I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

After a fair bit of a searching, we read some logs,
and one talked about bushes at the front of the house.

There is not bushes or any garden in the front yard any more.
The garden is in a big heap in found of the yard.

I phone a friend for help, He describe the container and location.

The house is get some upgrades and repairs.
The garden which the cache was hidden was dug up for new rain water pipes to be laid.
Also near ground zero is some builders rubbish off to one site.

The cache is gone!
The owner need to check/replace/or retire this cache.

Nice sunny day out with megs_q, sqau, and a muggle friend.
Thanks to Dave 'the muggle' for the boat and the know how to use it.

Thank you anyway She Me & the Dog

This one took a while. I tried to PAF twice with no answer and when I was ready to give up, I spotted a green tin can in the bush in front of the porch. Bingo!

No joy for us here today I'm afraid. Had a good look around but to no avail. With the powers of observation having clearly deserted us, we will have to try again next year when we embark on our annual sailing trip to the Gippy Lakes. Sad

Our first of a few finds found out and about the area today with DazRascal on a summer road (boat) trip.

With such a clear sunny morning we took advantage of the beautiful weather to pick up a few Terr 5's around Lake Victoria.
Both the GeoKids thought this caching trip was pretty special & we spent the next 3 hours cruising around in a "big boat".

We pulled up to a pristine looking jetty and made our way to GZ in the hope to spot some Kangaroos, unfortunately none spotted today.

We all had a good look around at GZ and Mrs H was less than 1m from it and still couldn't see it when Daz said "What's this" - Yep, the cache. Smile
A shame the building is getting run down.
Many thanks for bringing us to visit this beaut part of the area!
A great day out for all of us.

TNLN SL and headed off through the bush to the other cache on the island.
Cheers.

#2240

With Haveanez on a few days R&R in Lakes after Xmas.
Decided we knock off some terrain 5 caches while we're at it so we hired a boat for a few hours to do so.
Was quite surprised to find us the only ones at the jetty and in the quiet surrounds. It was so nice and peaceful, except for the very friendly flies Smile
Took a little bit of searching and reading past logs to work out where the hiding place was, and luckily the container didn't have teeth otherwise Mrs H might have been bitten severely Wink

Thanks for the cache in such peaceful surrounds.

TNLN, Cheers.

@ 11.15am Cache #847

[green] Got it![/green]

This one's been on my radar for quite some time, originally it was on my project 81 list but everytime that I was in the area, a crossing of lake Victoria by kayak just hasn't been possible due to unfavourable weather. Today how ever it was just perfect and with a couple of more caches nearby I'm glade I waited
Apon arrival at GZ the search begun and search I did with no luck. Read a few previous logs to see if there was any clues (no luck there). Was about to call it a DNF when the cache was spotted in a place I had previously searched 15min earlier Doh!
. Co-ods appeared to be out by about 9m. Opon leaving GZ I stopped to read a Parks sign on the fence "Area off limits due to the possible presence of asbestos dust Doh! Oh well good thing I found the cache before reading the sign

Thx She me & the dog I do love a water based cache

[green]Merci beaucoup

Not well hidden but a few twigs fixed that!

Lovely island, not so lovely mozzies-like everywhere in the lakes.
Came in kayaks from Trapper Pt: 5 minutes only. The mozzies there were worse.
Our 11 year old found this remarkably quickly: I was amazed, I could never have.

Pity the buildings are getting run down

My 3rd cache to arrive at with my Kayak. When I got near the shore I was greated by a fellow Kayaker who was camping on the Island. There was a small group here but only one Kayak. We each admired each others Kayak's before I headed for the cache with a small amount of interest from my fellow paddler. I found the cache with ease and headed back to the yak where we talked about Kayaks. Once we finished a good chat I headed North east in my yak while the other Kayaker headed south west with the aid of a sail. TFTC

Our third cache today and it was a good one. A very enjoyable paddle over to this spot. Shame they are letting the building become run down? Top spot for a picnic. Cache found safe and well very quickly. Depends on time of year for difficulty. TNLN Thanks for the hunt

A nice day for a trip to the Bird House. The warter was flat, an easy paddle across from paynesville. Only one boat at the jetty with a couple of muggles on board. All was quiet around GZ it took a few walks up and down to pin point the spot although the cashe was well hidden, if left in the open it would have not looked out of place.

This location is a real winner if you want a little peace. TFTC

Finally after four visits I found this one mid afternoon on 26/02/10. The cache is simply but incredibly well camouflaged and it took ages to locate it even after my GPS got me to within 0.4 metres! TNLN TFTC.

Geo dad and Geo girl out for a bit of a cruise in boat and though we would stop in and pick this one up. Must say after living here for 35 years I now relise I should have came here long ago, it is a beautiful spot. Took a little bit to find, which could have someting to do with not being able to stand still for for more than 2 seconds because of the mozzies.

Checked this one out while testing out the mates new boat.
Checked out the clues, there are lots of bushes in front of the property.
My coordinates took me right to the front door of the house.
Forgot to try the coords posted in on of the logs.
It was a lovely quiet spot for lunch etc.
Must return and try again one day.

PS; I'll be back.

We searched for this one for quite a while before going back over the logs which pointed us in the right direction. We really liked this lovely peaceful place. Our thanks go to Sally and Angus for providing the transport to get here.

Surprised to be second to find! Lovely day but fishing very poor! Forgot to take swaps but signed the log. Had to chase off a large blue-tongue lizard to access the cache though. TFTC.

[Finally, a first to find!

With the provision of a boat and skippers by She He and the Dog, we soon were at GZ and scoping around this interesting old property surrounded by chirruping birds.

Our GPS determined different coordinates, so that and a clue are provided encrypted... But don't be discouraged - It's a pretty straightforward find!]

We have updated the Terrain rating - still newbies - sorry the rating was stuffed up.

The listing does mention you need a boat to access it. The reference to jetty and lake would also suggest that is the recommended entry point.

It is only a 4km return walk from the jetty mentioned to 90 Mile Beach. But if you attempted to walk into this cache from somewhere on 90 Mile, it could be a l-o-n-g walk Smile

Despite comments to the contrary, this cache is actually a very easy find when approached by boat as intended. It's an easier find than Whale of a Time.

26-Jan-08
This was one of those FTF experiences that I would rather forget. After reading the cache page re access I saw "boat" now that would require a 5 star terrain, 4 km walk OK I could do that. As it turns out all of the access roads along here are private property and that the local land owners don't hold back on Geocachers when they find them on their land!!! If you want to walk to this one you have to start from the Surf beach and walk the 13km each way walk.

Thanks for the experience She Me & the Dog but in future I would suggest making the cache a 5 star terrain. I am assuming you placed this one by boat?
