Logs
This cache is only a couple of hundred meters from home and I've visited a couple of times and know what the cache looks like so I dropped by to investigate. On the way I noticed the lovely decorative wall of bamboo poles hiding the front wall of the Pasifica centres hanger, and considered the flags they put up on bamboo poles when they have events on, so it wasn't really a huge shock to find the bamboo forest decimated. It's been thinned by about 2/3rds. You used to be completely secluded for the last 100 metres or so as you approached the cache, then from the cache you couldn't even see that area. Not so any more, the trees and bushes that surrounded the approach have been thinned as well and at no point any more are you out of sight of buildings. You can even easily walk to (apart from tripping over stumps) within a metre of where the cache used to be, although not along what used to be the path.
And yes, sadly that container is all that remains of the cache.

Went looking for this one with the small geo dog ,its good for muggle spoting but the cache was not to be found ,i did find half a small systema box with black felt tip on it
found a nice art bridge to cross , enjoyed the walk and took time to watch the ducks . got a bit tangled up in the forest but didnt stay bamboozled for long . TFTC
Found it on my 2nd visit first time was way too wet, hope no one thought I was up to no good
Saw there was a bug in here who wants to climb mountains, and I'm going to a couple of mountains this weekend, so I squelched by again and collected it (together with Rosmar's card which had stuck to it - oops!).
Navigull, it's well enough hidden from muggles but even to me with only 25 finds that was like a flashing neon sign LOL

Unfortunately we too found ourselves on the wrong side of the creek so had an extra walk to get to GZ. Noticed a local with a chain saw turning the local trees into firewood . Quick find, great spot for a cache T4TC.
I took the wrong approach, got to within 20 metres but then got blocked and had a significant detour to reach GZ.
The title had me expecting a bit of difficulty in finding this cache but I spotted it almost out in the open and very close to the indicated GZ.
I covered it more completely when I replaced it.

An interesting and hidden part of the park. Chose the right place to park, and so had only a short walk to the cache. Found the entrance into the bamboo thicket, and made a fast find. Thanks for bringing us to this spot.

I took my Dad geocaching for the first time today and this was our first find. We didn't even know that this part of the reserve was there!
Cache # 20.
In - Cows, Its Bovine Mania, Tb & Geo Coin,
Out - Pink Slinky.
Had a lil trouble with the stroller BUT Miss 5 got in there & found it rather quickly!
Saw some 'ART' done by the locals on our way in & a cool Eel sculpture on the way out!
Thanks for the Cache.

This cache is only a couple of hundred metres away from my house, I can't think why it took me so long to make the 4 minute walk to find it
I knew the wet thing was there but had no idea what was behind it, that was a real surprise ! There were no clues at all that it was so close to civilisation.
Took nothing, left an autograph in the log. Nice spot, thanks

Having previously read the earlier logs, I was well aware of the potential geographical barrier - but just as I expected, we too went the wrong way first! But once we'd remedied that problem, we were able to locate the cache fairly quickly. My nephew had found some caches before (with mrs38), but today was his first trip out caching with me. TNLN & SL at 1pm. Thanks BackPAQer (G’day) & Kayche for the cache. We actually came across several strange looking flower type mushrooms(?) upon our exit from GZ (see photo). Subsequent research has revealed that they may well have been an example of the flowering fungus Aseroe Rubra. A good (and unexpected) example of a lesson in nature, all provided by geocaching! Regards, 38degsouth - Vic, Aust.
Huge park, very nice. Took us a while to find the right way in, so bamboozled for a while. Found cache quite easily once in the right place. SL TNLN TFTC
A bit of effort and again caught by the water barrier like everyone else. Great first time though, and looking forward to where the next one is ^_^.
As with others, it was getting to the bamboo that was bamboozling, not the finding of the cache. TNLNSL TFTC
Needed second access attempt (thwarted by water) but
otherwise no problem in the bamboo. TNLN, cheers.

Like everybody else, Coldstream and I were bamboozled as we were close to the cache but there was this watery barrier in the way. Found other entrance and soon had the cache. in hand.
This was our 12th and last mission (having being recalled back to barracks by our Ministers of Domestic Affairs earlier) for the day.
Cheers for the cache.

Yes, it lived up to its name when we found ourselves (Tufty and I) on the wrong side of an impassable natural barrier. A long retracing of steps later, we set out the correct way, and had the cache soon after. Cheers.
First attempt was from the wrong side of the river but came back today and found with limited frustration.
Did try this one just on dusk yesterday, and realised that even though we were within 35m of the cache, we could not reach it.
Left it, as we had to be elsewhere, and on driving away and around, discovered there was a way in.....
So before breakfast today, we were off...... Interesting feature near the path in.... could there possibly be a cache based on that, seems familiar.
Anyway, with the wrong shoes on, Butterfly slipped on the dead bamboo lying across the path. Luckily she took a trek stick with her to remain upright!!
Left Jukebox memories geocoin. Thanks for the challenge

Cache was a little damp inside, cache has been cleaned out and repacked, all should be good again.
Yep, I ended up at the wrong side first. Found it a bit further away then it (I think) should be. Placed it where (I think) it shoul be.
Picked up a nice poking stick (usefull for other caches).

#993. Straightforward find. Log book a little damp after all the rain we've had but not bad. TFTC.
On our way back from Fairy Falls, we passed this cache that was on our list for some time. Warning: The closest parking opportunity is not the best (see photo). So we had to walk for some time until we found the bridge. Some dog muggles watched us suspiciously, when we passed them and vanished into the bamboozle. We expected a tedious search (we did not have the cache description with us), but the hunt was over after 5 minutes.
On our way back, we witnessed some people in medieval costumes, sword fighting and enjoying themselves. Sadly, we were not dressed appropriately to join them

2.50pm Almost gave up thinking the floods had claimed this one, and then I spotted it, still safe and sound. Thank you David

It was a busy day today with rugby matches and a Saturday market but not a soul at GZ when we eventually found it! We took the roundabout route as we were looking for the other nearby cache too.

I love bamboo too, although wading through it isn't generally my style. Cache wasn't quite where I was expecting it. Cheers Gav [2047]
GPSr was jumping around a bit. Triangulated carefully from some better reception areas to get the right spot. Soon found the cache after that. No mossies today, or perhaps I was lucky.

Think I took the long way round to it. Found with no probs, interesting spot. Thanks for the cache!

Quick find, after being bamboozled by another nearby BackPAQer cache in Henderson Park. Much harder to find our way to GZ than to find the cache.

We parked within 100m of the cache but it took us a while to work out how to reach it! All the previous logs suddenly made sense...
No problems finding the cache once we were in the right place. Interesting spot.

Had a bit of fun getting to GZ with this one. I rode the bike down from work so ended up doing a sort of criterium looking for a way in. Nice cache though. TFTC
This park is well hidden - I did not know it was there. Love the bamboo. The mossies loved my legs so did not stay long.
F.T.F. this afternoon. Not the easiest cache in town to find.
With the the rain coming down, the bamboo and hot steamy conditions this will be the nearest you will get to being in a jungle.
Thanks for the fun.

Met another geocacher (first time we have since starting). Shook hands and introduced ourselves. Had a chat. Wet day. Out- rubber In - red frog.
17:56 Well I was hoping for FTF but alas work got in the way of my exploits. I think I was third to find in the end .
Anyway great spot despite the rain and wet bamboo, did have something planned around here as well. But you have to be quick in these parts.
Thanks guys for the cache, great to see some good ones in Henderson.
