I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hoping to replace it or sort it at Easter when I’m down in area trout fishing
Hi TheWonderStuff
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Out and about with a few others caching today stopped here for a quick find changed log paper as log book was mush.

Searched all about but couldn't spot anything. There have been people drinking up here, so maybe its been muggled
Not even sure the heavily rotted bag IS the logbook. Anyway, I put in a waterproof replacement log. TFTC.
Had to head to Tauranga today so thought we would do a bit of Geocaching on the way home as these new ones in Te Puke had been beckoning for a while and every time we have been to Tauranga recently we have used the toll road there and back and so missed Te Puke.
After cleaning up Te Puke town we decided to head out and do this one. Not a single soul around today Mr S made the find but the log is manky mush and as our geomobile was having a service and we had a loan car we couldn't replace it because our Geocaching Tool Kit was in the real Geomobile. Needs a new log.
Thanks TheWonderStuff. We have smilie map in Te Puke again.

The exact coordinations pointing aprox. 2 meters far from the animal race, but there's nothing more than gravel. We looked left and right from the race with no success.
Found it after being at a scenic waterfall nearby during the morning. Log is very wet and doesn't smell good, as it is in a wet textile bag.
Nice area around here

A few muggles about but nobody seemed to notice me duck in and grab this one. The log book is pretty soggy. Tftc
Our first ever find! Thanks. The book is a bit wet but still can be written on.
Come up from Hawkes Bay to visit family, did a bit of caching.
On way to Mount thought I'd stop in and find this one. Took a couple of minutes to locate. Left a tinker bell I brought up from Hastings. Nice placement. Cheers.

Always wondered just where the kart track is -now i know. Thanks for bringing us here
Out with Tiga. Let her look while I was mucking round with gps then went and was lucky enough to hit the right spot and there it was.
Signed log. TNLN All in good order but pencil needs a sharpner. Tftc

All the goodies had been taken. But we put some more trinkets in there and hope others will do the same.
Yet another mission/meander/drive/caching blitz/story telling to Tauranga/Papamoa with some of the Hamilton crew. An early start was on the cards so that we could make it back in time so a couple of the members could make it back in time for the Night Glow Event held at the Waikato Uni. So at 4.30am 11hpg11, Kyb3r, iammrwalker and myself plied into HPG's new caching vechicle and headed out for the day. As usual a fantastic day out and a bonus for the day was that the weather was on our side, even though it didn't look like it. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed the logbooks with 1HIK (our caching names put together) to save some room on the logbooks.
Who would of thought that this would of been here??
We all split up and started hunting around the hint item, I picked the wrong side and as I couldn't see the others they secretly found the cache signed the log without tell me and had nearly made it back to the car before I realised what they were doing.

Hitting the trails with the 1HIK crew (11hpg11, HKCB, iammrwalker and myself) on a mission to help them clear Tauranga caches.
It took the four of us a wee while to find this one. Found all good in the end. Who'd have thought there would be a kart-track all the way out here. It was a surprise to all of us.

Another trip to Tauranga/Papamoa area with a group of Hamilton cachers. Today we planned to clean out a bit more of the area, just one more we keep saying, but new caches keep coming out all the time. Today our team consisted of HKCB, Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and myself. The logs were either signed with our names or HIK1/1HIK to save room. Today I was designated driver and that came along with a new set of challenges but we survived and didn't make too many wrong turns so all is good. A nice early start, left Hamilton at 4.30am so we could be over in time for a night cache plus plenty of other caches before a few of us had to be home for the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow event.
I was a bit worried about what we were going to find, but it all made sense when we reached GZ. Looks like a cool little spot, another one I didn't know about. Thanks for bringing us here.

I found this Geocache along with HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r, a bunch of overachieving Geocachers from Hamilton. We signed the logs 1HIK to save on log space. This was our fourth sojourn or ‘mission’ as we like to refer to these trips, to the Tauranga area and even though we had limited time due to family commitments in the evening we still managed to find more than fifty caches and be home before dinner. This was due mainly to leaving at 4:30 in the morning. Credit needs to go to HKCB who came up with the plan and 11hpg11 for driving. As always we had a great time. I discovered HKCB has a big one, that the TV show Samurai Pizza Cats was far more than just a teenage mutant ninja turtle rip off, that when it comes to night/ early morning Geocaching ‘it's all about the lumens’, that road kill can make for amusing hood ornaments, that hpg has a big hole and that clapping in a state of the USA may well be the funniest thing anyone can say at 5am. A big thanks to all the cache owners who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found today.
We came out here not to sure what to expect. The track here looks really cool and like it would be a lot of fun. I found this one pretty quickly and tried to sign it covertly without the rest of the group noticing in the hope I could re hide it and have one of the others find it and discover our moniker already on the log. Unfortunately I was spotted and the ruse was up. TFTC.

The clues really helped on this one, especially the earlier clues, got us looking for awhile with a couple of visitors tftc
Stinky bob my geo child who is part of the stinky tom gang found this one with Kmannz
This one took us a lot of searching, we resorted to checking previous logs for hints but we found it eventually! Didn't know the track was here no one around today. Tftc.
Couldn't find this one last time I tried but this time it was a quick find. Cache is in good, dry condition.
There were a couple go karts on the course in the rain while we were there.
Thanks TheWonderStuff and philip.perry

This one had us scratching our heads a bit and climbing the "hint" but we got there in the end. Be careful here if you have bare legs, got brushed by some thistles and prickly plants :p
Finally back here again after philip had placed a new cache. No quick find here. We discussed whether to quit but kept searching and found in an area we'd already covered!
Had quite a good look around then grabbed the torch still no luck, will have to come back sometime maybe with some insider knowledge lol hint hint philip
After meeting Rick-a-mortis at a recent CITO in Tauranga I quickly discussed with him the future of this cache. As a result the cache is now in place - new container, log, pencil, sharpener and some silica gel to top it of. As per my previous post this can be a crazy place, but not today - had gz to myself
This was crazy - just driving down this country road, not a soul in sight. Then all of a sudden a hundred cars are parked up, trailers everywhere and the familiar sounds of reeving go-karts fill the air. I did not know this place existed! We wandered down to the track witnessing all these kids geared up for racing, working on their karts and it was just amazing. It was all very serious and the track was amazing and this just blew my mind. I don't know the first thing about kart racing yet alone how I'd get my kids into it but it was fascinating to watch. Loved it, we just hung around watching the races - it was awesome. Once it had all wrapped up we headed back to the car to go home and I remembered there was actually a cache here somewhere.... indeed.... We searched with no luck so I started reading the pervious logs. We did find an empty bag but with nothing but water inside so we've decided to call 'maintenance' on this cache. Logs indicated this was a long time coming as the official hide looks to have been compromised up to 18 months ago. I was so excited about what we'd seen today I was ready to plant a camoed specimen jar right then and there but my wife was like "let the CO know first" and "you don't even know where the original hide was".
So now we're here - it'd be great to return this one to it's former glory. Cheers guys.

Had a good look out here. Then one of the kart track caretakers drove up. We had a chat and he said they'd recently had a large meet with a lot of people and a lot of cleaning up.
The fact that the cache is now apparently little more than a plastic bag and a specimen container means it could have been collected as litter.
CO may want to come check on this and change description that is no longer accurate.

Spent at least 20 mins here but came up empty handed. Maybe better luck next time.
Finally came back to find this (after a DNF on 16/1/14). Cache was in hand pretty quick too!! Nice evening for a drive and it was very quiet this time lol TFTC
Doing a drive over the hills from Welcome Bay to Te Puke to pick up a few cache. What a surprise to find a racing track here. Looks like we missed out seeing them practising by a few minutes, however it made it easy to find the cache.
Well there was no one here today, except for the muggles parked at GZ! Will have to try again sometime.
Rode over from Summerhill, but didn't time it well, loads of Muggles on a Sunday afternoon, so turned straight around to ride back over that big hill! I'll come back!
Yay another find for the day on our way to kiate falls.it wasnt the cache container we expected just in a plastic bag but all good.no one in sight
We got at the site at the right time before anyone arrived. The cache is only a plastic bag with the things in it no container. All dry just put them in a cleaner bag tftc
TFTC was a quick one although no longer in container described. It's in a specimen jar inside a pick n mix zip seal bag. Not much in the way of swapables. I left a 1c piece
Took the opportunity on a quite evening with no racing muggles about. Looked for ages but couldn't find it, very frustrating. The dude in the run down house bus across the paddock seemed concerned about what we were up to but a wave of the arm yelling "hello" back to him seemed to settle him down. Will go back for another try at some stage
Oh and picked up a bag of rubbish while we searched.

Very surprised, after heading into the hills on a gravel road to find this establishment here! There were muggles using the track when we got there so had to be rather stealthy in making the find. This one took a few minutes to find as it was not what i was expecting. All that is left is a specimen bottle with a log in it inside a bag. Signed log and replaced as i found it. Spent a few minutes watching the racing before moving on for a few more. TFTC!
Was a little surprised to find such a facility way out here, and luckily it was not being used today. Took a couple of passes to find this one, well hidden.

On my way to looking glass garden so this was a quick side trip. Have been out here before with the Forrest and bird society for there mystery walk - which was a great walk on someone's private land that ended up taking us through a man made tunnel full of glow worms - it's amazing the things in these hills!! Day 24 of the August challenge complete. TFTC

Found on the way back from getting all the new Pongakawa caches today, didnt even know this place was here, tftc
At last after an hour and a half we have found one. M found while I was looking on the wrong side. LOL
No box just bag and log book.
No box just bag and log book.
Found it thanks Wonderstuff. No karters here today so I was able to take my time in finding it before deciding I really had to do another cache today even tho we only have to find one a day in August for the challenge. Woops had to edit log date as the geocaching site is on American time but I found this Saturday 3 August on NZ time.
Didn't find it....couldn't get anywhere near the place today!!! Cars parked up for 3-400m away....no chance today! Will pick a quieter day next time.
The go-carts were preparing to go on the track but we didn't hang around to see them race. Might have to come back another time. Quick find for the kids who swapped one of the treasures. TFTC. #56
No karts practicing today so was very quiet for a quick find. Grandson (4CJ) sent out to search for the cache which he did by climbing along the rails. Log nice and dry. TFTC

I wanted to go and find some "treasure" today so I rang Nanna and Geega and got them to pick me and mummy up in the car. We followed my map for a long way and had to stop for lots of cows crossing the road. Geega told me to climb the rails to see if I could find the treasure. I nearly fell off and then I saw the container. There were no karts for me to see, but it looks like fun. TFTC
Quick find and off and racing for the next cache
On a mission with Novalightning today and after a quick stop on the way over we were working on clearing an area of the countryside neither of us had ever investigated much, so on the mission continues,

Needed to get away this evening, so decided to do a bit of night caching. Searched blindly for several minutes. There were so many likely hiding places. In the end, the logs were most helpful. Found it. TFTC.
Right where splattynz said. Zip lock bag with specimen bottle with yellow lid. Good one.
Found with katbowersnz. Bit of a tricky find due to the tin missing. In a snap lock bag now.
wow lived in this area a long time and never actually been down here!!
Took a little while to find! looked like it had been awhile since anyone had been looking for this, eventually found it, No longer in a black paint tin though.
thanks for bringing me here.

#473 - A bit of a search, but it was right where it was supposed to be all the time. Smaller than we thought. No pencil/pen, but in good condition. TFTC
Actually found this about a year ago and just realised we hadn't logged it. I remember found it with geodaughter and thanks for bringing us here - we have been back to see the track in use since!!
We had been here before but the national Kart Champs were on so had to abandon search. All good today though with only 1 muggle in site. After a quick search we located the cache in the likely spot. TFTC.
