Had the opportunity for a visit to Nelson for 2 days with Mrs Yeetrees as she was going to attend a embroidery workshop for 2 days, we decided that we would fly in late Friday night and stay the full weekend. Having booked this trip back in February we werent sure what the weather was going to be like but we decided that we would chance it. Managed to find accommodation at the Monaco Hotel & Resort as it was very central to where we wanted to be. Mrs Yeetrees decided that she would like to come caching in the end with me instead of attending the workshops as there wasnt anything to her liking.
After finding GC4KAYE - In A Tube , this was the next cache that we had on our list of caches that we wanted to find today. The walk along this walkway / cycleway was starting to get a bit more busier as there was starting to be a few walkers and cyclist making their way pass as we were between caches.
Finally nearing GZ we soon realised that this cache was a little bit off the beaten track, making our way towards GZ through the long wet grass, thank goodness that it was not raining. Finally arriving near GZ, it only took a few seconds for Mrs Yeetrees to spot the w\very clever and well hidden cache, that hint was definitely very evil.
Managed to retrieve and sign the logbook without any issues, then replaced it back as found. Thanks for placing another very well constructed cache here kiwi-nomad, really enjoyed it and gave it another favourite point, TFTC TNLNSL (12539)

Nicely done.
Left a signature token.
Picked up the two trackables - I see neither has spent much time in the North Island, I will drop them in Wellington in a few weeks.

Path empty as the sun is setting on this chilly winter afternoon. Having read the hint I was trying to spot the likely spot on approach, but walking past all hint items and still metres away from gz I had to change my thinking. Could it be? Haha yes it is! Swapped trackables. Much fun, thanks very much.
Over in Nelson visiting No. 1 daughter - and a quick walk along the path here while she is still in a Lecture back in town. The grass around here is very wet - so pleased I came prepared with spare shoes.
One of the reasons I am walking this trail was to find a big enough cache to place a couple of the TB's I brought back from Aussie.
A cool spot here - stopped and gazed at the view.

Found with capperz, richardinho.nz and jojo74, although capperz was a previous finder.
Earlier in the week capperz mentioned he was planning a trip to Nelson with richarinho.nz and joj74, and knowing I was home alone this weekend, asked if I wanted to tag along. Of course, I said yes and as gratitude for the invite, offered my wheels as transport. Everyone really knows that capperz' car is a gas guzzler and my fuel bill would probably be the same as a quarter share of his.
The plan of attack was to attend the Pirate Event in Blenheim, the head across the Hill and do a few caches around the airport before heading to the Nelson Pirate Event. Afterwards it was off to Rabbit Island to do the eastern end of that.
All up I got 30 caches today, which leaves me 15 off my 2000 milestone... woo hoo.
Depending on the space available logs were signed in full, or Cz, Rh, KM, and JJ or CRKJ. with Cz or C missing on those he had already found.
After attending BigglesNZ Pirate event at the Honest Lawyer (is that an oxymoron, a bit like Intelligence Officer in the Defence Force), we headed along this track which is a tribute to Kiwi-nomad's cache building skills. I already had a couple of these and capperz had a couple more, but richrdinho.nz and jojo74 only had one, so there was something for everyone.
It was the previous finder who pointed this imaginative hide out, although I don't think it would have taken the rest of us long to find it if he hadn't. Fortunately this was not one of the CO's trickier field puzzles, so it was not long before three new names were in the log.

Another good cache on what I will call the K-N highway, a quick find by Capperz although we were quick on his tail. TFTC K-N, FP from us.
Saturday was day one of a two day caching weekend in Nelson. Capperz has proposed the idea a few weeks back, and myself and Jojo signed in. Kiwimykl was also recruited and kindly supplied the transport, and a hit list of locations was compiled. For us it didn't really matter what we targeted as there is so much unchartered territory this side of the hill for us, but our collective aims were around the airport perimeter and the Nelson side of Rabbit Island with a few cycle-access favourite point hoovers in the middle. Just as well I had a few FPs in the bank. Before that though there was an event in Blenheim at a local cafe, then another for the same reason at the Honest Lawyer with the Nelson crew around lunch. All logs signed with variations on the theme of Jo, Ric, Km and Capperz, and thanks to all the COs, it was a great day

I was looking for a fairly quick find in between appointments today, I had worked out where this one was a couple of weeks ago when I was in the area, so I knew it would be a quick find. What I wasn't sure about was how wet the area would be today after the very wet weekend. No need to have worried as it was surprisingly dry compared with many of the grass areas I walked past on the way to GZ. Thanks for another good cache kiwi-nomad
A quick find on our way to our hosts house after spending another wonderful day with family in Nelson! Thanks
Another interesting cache while on our cache trail. This was an easy find despite clever camo. Thanks kiwi-nomad for another good cache.
Out for an early morning bike ride this morning. Stopped off to admire the view (and of course to get my daily cache). Initially in wrong place before zeroed in. Thanks for the cache.
A nice bike ride today. And a fun find at GZ. Cheers.
Exploring around Richmond, Stoke and Nelson. There are a few caches around here!!
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Another nice hide as we head along this beautiful walkway. Have driven past parallel so many times and wondered what the caches would be like. Question answered!
mrs capperz has headed across the Cook Strait to visit our North Island family and I don't have enough leave to be able to go along too, stink. So, for this 3 day long weekend it's just me and (former) nightowl19 keeping up the Marlborough end of the deal. I decided a three prong attack would be the deal for this weekend; 'Nelson' (and surrounds) on Saturday, French Pass/Bulwer on Sunday and Northbank on Monday. And so it was. I managed a respectful 31 caches on the Saturday and headed over the hill at a decent time (much to miss 15's disgust) but we had a couple of nice walks in the Nelson sunshine and found some cool caches, including a mighty 6 Multi caches.

Day # 8 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
Today's rainy tour took me from Arthurs Pass to Nelson.
The weather was more than sh...y throughout the major part of the trip ..
Rain, rain, rain [xx(] - and a road slip just 21kms out of Arthurs Pass [B)]. Road was closed for nearly an hour ...
Needless to say, that most of the treasures that were waiting along the road had to remain undiscovered due to flooding , heavy cats and dogs-rain [B)]and general 'I am not gonna leave the car now' - feeling [B)] .
But finally - approaching Nelson - the weather cleared up, got better and the sun came out. Cool!.
The day was a bit exhausting but ended up promising - rewarded with 16 finds and 'home ‘n dry' [^] !
This smart one made me laugh out loud when I finally got the hint! [^]
Hey - WestCoast and Nelson- you have awesome caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .
Cheers from Germany

After ages I get the chance to go back to New Zealand and geocaching have to be part of it. After cold wet irish weather was beautiful to have nice sunny warm day so I took a bike and went for cycling around the ocean. During the way there was a cache so I stopped and went for searching. Soon I spotted something and there it was. Thank you for the cache.

I was cycling down the great taste trail this morning to find a few geocaches & to get some fresh air. this one was pretty easy to find. a lot of trees may have been planted recently, so it isn't the only trunk that may exist! The log book is really wet so I was just able to sign it in time. Find # 159
Found this while having a caching day out. Needs new info and hints as new trees have been planted and cache was damp. #101
Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories! TFTC.
Found while on a winter holiday with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, setting our tent up at a different campsite each night. We didn't have any real plan, just went where the caches took us we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day as 3 weeks isn't really that long!
Finally made it to Sunny Nelson, definitely one of my favourite places.

Last one for the day. Time to turn back to Richmond before it got too dark. TFTC!!!
Nice easy find, while I think on it, all the log books on this walkway are full. Thanks and another fave.
A great excuse for a breather on our cycle home from Mapua to Nelson. Found out in the open and not where it was expected to be. Needs a new log.
Today is Kiwi-nomad day !
In the past we have done a few caches of Kiwi-nomad and yesterday in Blenheim we were reminded of how good his caches are. Today we aimed to pick up a few more in The Stoke area. We don't have bikes so we were on foot.
This one was a really quick find.TFTC.

Imaginative caches, cool locations, decent hints and containers, not too many muggles biking past. Have I died and gone to cacher`s heaven? TFTC
Good easy find could do with a new log and also slightly damn inside. Thank you!
Very nice hide. Beautiful clear day in Nelson and SJT_NZ and I hooked up with local Mot cacher
A few hours to spare before an afternoon return to the North Island so TregearP and I decided to hire a couple of cycles and check out some caches on the coastal cycle way.
A quick find, all in good order and TFTC.

Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
