Regretfully putting this one in the Archive basket, but may rethink if conditions change.

Thanks for the reminder.
I expected the area to be backburned or at least cleared this season, due to the fuel load. Will re-check the condition of the area soon.

The source has been more runny for a few seasons now hence long grass is taking over the whole area.
Cache is disabled for some TLC and another rethink of GZ possibly.

The grass is very long on this one, walked past it 3 times untill I triped over it. The container is wet an all contants are soaked.
I thought I'd attack this one from in between some houses, but the dense bush didn't look too hopeful, so I decided to check out the track under the power lines. This proved a good idea, and I had a fairly easy walk down to GZ. Here the high grass nearly got the better of me (snakes, spiders, eeww!) but I bravely checked out a couple of spots before finally locating a very clever hide. As I bent over to pick up the container, I heard something drop but could see nothing. Signed log and replaced, then made the hard slog back up to the car.
I drove onto another nearby cache, and I as I prepared to set out, realised that my sunglasses were nowhere to be seen. Bother and drat! I think I know what dropped to the ground at GZ So back I go to the power lines and down the hill, searching all the way just in case, then back through the long grass (snakes again! spiders again! double eeeewwww!!!!) to find the sunglasses sitting on the squashed grass at GZ. So glad to find them! But, oh no, now I have to walk back up the hill a second time!
TFTC, PesceVerde. Can I have 2 smileys?!?!?!

Yeah found with Kenneth.dougall great hide, not sure about BBQ but maybe MOW would be a more fitting title
Well it turned out we took the wrong approach to this one, as it turned out there was an easier way into the cache from the one we chose.
Cache was found, though we misinterpreted the hint.
Found while out and about today caching around the north side with Kaisho53 and Gunnie69.

Arriving as close as GPS could get us (an in a appropriate jump off point) Ghostgums, Gunnie69 & I headed down the track to see what we could find....
Heading towards cache we were under the surveillance of a curious by silent canine who just seemed to be enjoying having someone around who actually spoke to him...
After a bit of a trek & scramble we approached GZ and began our search...
I chose the lucky area & soon had cache in hand..
Log was soon appended with our presence and we trekked back out...

Thanks PersceVerde for the cache

As a rare moment in sport, the SatNav took Ghostgums, Kaisho53 and I to a perfect entry spot for this one. We headed in through the houses and took to the bush in order to find a way to GZ.
We found a path that lead us so far, but had to make our way for the rest. As we approached and got within 10m, naturally we found a track that would have lead us right to it...
A small detour to the actual GZ and the container was spotted quickly by Kaisho53 and Ghostgums and I were inspecting other areas. Business done, we headed back.
This is a great area. Not only the little patch of bush but the number of Queenslanders around here that are so well presented. Amazing... [^]
Cheers PesceVerde.

Yep, there is at least one hard way in. Still looking for the so called easy way, although the last 5m wasn't too bad. Should have parked somewhere else.
You had a BBQ here? Why? How?
Nutters these cachers are. I should know.
Removed one tick, and it seems that was all I picked up on this trip - not too bad really. Thanks PesceVerde for a cool hide.

First cache find for 2012. Fairly easy find although we are not sure how the title fits this cache. Area was very quiet today. Cache dry and in good condition. TFTC.
After mountain goating along power lines success was there , not quite sure how name of cache fits anyhow thanks Pesceverde TNLN
Amelia and co. rang me and asked if I would like to go for a drive with them as they had some things to drop off on that side of town, and that we could get a couple of caches while in the area.
Due to the short noticer I only had time to download a few caches, and no time to read the description, let alone look at any maps.
When arriving at the point indicated by the GPS, I finaly read the description, and thought what the heck I am here now, and it was either this or drive around looking for the powerline ... what a mistake....
I made my way through grass taller than me. Grass that when you took a step on it you sank down to your knees, and then the grass was even taller. grass that made it that you didn't know where you were going.
I'm sure I did multiple bee dances in the high grass before deciding to head back without the prize.
I got to the short edge and the GPS said only 50mts. was I really going to let the prize go with only 50mts in my way ... well no ... so back into the long grass and lantana once again.
I finally came to the track under the powerline and searched the area of the hint. And I searche the area of the hint. And I searched the area of the hint.
Now I really was getting cheesed off (well more than cheesed off actually).
I really didn't want to go through that grass again without my prize - did I.
well after widening my search I finally found the stash, signed the log, and made that terrible treck back to the gypsy with a travel bug.
I'm really glad this one is out of the way, there is bush bashing and there is stupid grass - I'll take bush baching anyday.

I think we must have stumbled on the easy way in. The power line track crosses the road so we followed it and located cache in 5 minutes. Well hidden from muggles though. TFTC.
Took 15 minutes bush bashing to find the power line track. Then it took a further 10 minutes to locate the cache. There is lots of very long grass around so that you can’t see GZ from the track even though it is only about 4 metres from the edge.

We decided on the 'powerline walk' to attack this one, which turned out a good thing as they had just slashed the track. Once at GZ, the treasure was soon in hand where we sat on the track to peruse the contents and contemplate the trip back up that short, but steep little hill. Thanks PesceVerde
I think I should have saved this one for cooler weather! Having found a convenient entry point that required only a few metres of bushbashing, I set off optimistically to find the BBQ and have a picnic there. The optimism lasted until the second spiderweb strung smack across the clearest path, whereupon I searched for a suitable web-removal tool and started waving my way toward GZ like a madwoman. The exertion of clambering down then up the muddy hills, waving my stick, with my fear-of-spider adrenalin pumping soon had me in a very disheveled state indeed. I found the source of the creek (by standing in it), but my GPS wanted me elsewhere, so very, very gradually, dismantling webs as I went, I got closer and closer. The grass at this point was armpit-high, and when your GPS won't quite settle, armpit-high grass in a radius of 4m from your current position looks like a veritable ocean! A green, wet, spidery kind of ocean, granted, but an ocean nonetheless. The dead grass underfoot was extremely thick, and I was praying that the cache wasn't buried beneath it, but searched nonetheless. And searched. And searched. For a reputedly easy find, let me assure, when nothing is visible below your neck, the complication factor multiplies exponentially by the number of blades of grass in sight . Anyway, after a good 40 minutes of searching, I finally stumbled upon it, dislodged the ants and their eggs from the clip, and gratefully signed the logbook. Back out, dodging the webs I'd left up the first time, scrambling back up the slippery hill, admiring teh view from the top (alternatively referred to as catching my breath), and back toward civilisation, where I was accosted by a local asking curiously what I'd been doing in there? I explained I was scouting the area for my students who were doing an environmental study on Cabbage Tree Creek but had decided the area wasn't suitable for them (creative, eh?) and went on my merry way. Oh, picked up a TB that wasn't listed as being in it, too. TFTC. =^.^=
Fun thanks!! Had us stumped a bit where to park and walk from. Got there in the end!
Found this one with geojuve! Very peaceful area with no muggles around! Thanks for the cache pesceverde!

27-July-10. Checked on today and found the cache after a bit of a search. Very overgrown with grass here now. I've removed the container for now in case the area is planned as part of the current burnoffs.

Think we found the GZ but couldn't locate the cache. Will have another try on another visit.
After locating a good entrance, it was fairly easy - except for the hike. I did enjoy this one - particularly the muggleless factor. TFTC!
Palopinto returned to the GeoMobile after going in first to report cache in fine condition but find "almost ruined". She was right -- another 20m and we'd have had to swim to GZ. Fortunately we'd picked the right path in and the cache was soon in hand. Ran back out in the rain, feel like I could use a good BBQ now! TFTC!
[EDIT: We had BBQ for dinner. Yum. Thanks for the idea, PesceVerde!]

Passed by the cache recently and all seems AOK, but there has been some earth/drainage works near to GZ.
Seems to be the season for gi-normous spiders. I think they are disguised drop bears just waiting to pounce and suck the life out of you... And there just happened to be one we needed to pass under to get to the cache. Oh well, anything for a cache . Found quickly. I liked the sa/ou(r)ce! TFTC PesceVerde

328 - Found the easement and then took the Geo 4x4 mobile down and then uppppp the track which was an exciting adventure. Found the cache in good condition at 3:03pm. Couldn't turn the geomobile around, so it was up and up again to the next hill where we were rewarded with an excellent view of the northern suburbs. Thanks for bringing us here Pesce Verde, this one gave us more fun then we expected.
Now this was a bit of fun to get to. I originally parked where I eventually came out but decided on the other approach. Walking to the rear of the houses I was able to say g'day to both neighbours as I headed off across country! I can only imagine what they were thinking. As I neared GZ I found the easement! Found the cache at 0955hrs. As mentioned earlier I returned an easier way than I went in. Hindsight is a marvellous thing. Thanks for showing me that tucked away bit of bush PV.

After one false start, we soon were at GZ and had the cache in hand. In: lizard, out: Geocoin. Thanks for the Cache.
Nice place for a bit of rubber-necking at other people's houses. Found an easement and went bush from there. Easy walk to GZ and the cache was found on arrival. TN/LN/SL and returned to my van. Several people saw me walking into the bush and saw me coming out a while later. I bet (hope would be a more appropriate word ) their curiosity was aroused. TFTC.
I contemplated taking the car off road for this one but the track looked a bit green and I was on my own so I decided to walk it. I found the cache without any worries.

This was a great cache to start the day off with. Straightforward access, not too far but not too near the car, and an easy find for the geokids. They weren't overly impressed with the spiders guarding the cache though! TNLN Thanks
Found without any problems then huffed and puffed my way back up the hill. TFTC

The cache here is gone. Hopefully, geocaching.com or I will be contacted by one of the work crew or a supervisor shortly. Options are open!
Definitely needs visit by owner - there has been a work crew through cutting down vegetation and trees.
Came in along the power line track which I'm sure must be the easiest option. However no luck in finding the cache
Second last cache for the day. We had a bit of a bush bash to this cache from where the GPS indicated to park TFTC.
This was meant to be our last cache but as usual Mrs HH sneaked in a last one on the way home. Was a bit of a bush bash to get in but was quicker than the powerline option. TFTC.
It was a bit slippery on the track after the rain but I managed to find the cache eventually.

We also weren't sure that we'd taken the right track in. We tried to walk quietly up what we hoped was common land in between two houses, when a little dog started barking and gave us away. After a bit of bush bashing we found the trail and then the cache.

Australia Day is a great day to be out caching! This cache was made a tad more difficult as our GPS batteries failed about 100m from GZ. Geo junior sniffed out this cache in no time flat - who needs a GPS! TFTC

I followed the bike track all the way to the end. A bit of a dogleg back and to the south and I found a sign
A very helpful sign it was too, what with a detailed map of the area on it and all
So a bit more uphill riding on the bike and a likely trail to the cache was found
Heading downward, everdownward I arrived at GZ and soon discovered the 'source' of Cabbage Tree Creek [:o]
With the laughter slowly subsiding, I managed to fill in the log book

Found it with Geoson, took the easy way. A nice pocket of bushland! The cache was easily found and I really like the container. Geoson was disappointed that it didn't contain trains (he is only 3 and a half ). TFTC
I dont know if I choose the easiest way in. Regardless I enjoyed the walk. I 'm afraid I went in with a fixed idea as to were the cache would be located. Looked at the gps and set off in the direction of the arrow. Got to where I thought it would be and found that I had overshot the mark.
Backtracking, I found the cache without any problems. Cache is dry and in good conditon.

Found the access easily enough but got a bit excited with the terrain and went a few hundred metres past the cache. Suddenly thought that I had better have a look at the GPS and D'oh, it's behind me. Anyway it's about time I started doing something about the Christmas cake that found it's way to my hips This is a really fun walk. Thank you for the FTF prize (the guide dogs really thank you)

This isn't quite where I thought it was when I set out so as I a result I was too far down Bunya Rd before I even looked at my GPSr. Whoops. Anyway, a short u-turn later and things looked better. I hate this neighbourhood... real estate envy you know.
Streetdirectory.com.au showed there being a foot path off of the end of Woodtop Ct so I started there but I couldn't find it. My UDB didn't show this foot path but did show one off Silverwood Ct and I had better luck there and was soon on the right trail.
When I got to the GZ the sky birds had me going all over the shop and I'm afraid the clue only really made sence to me in hindsight. It began to drizzle and I was tempted to call it quits, but... there was still time on the clock, and how wet was this light rain really going to get me? (Ha!) Finally I spied what looked like where humans had been. A saucy little hide indeed. No sooner had I signed the log and got it all squared back away when the heavens opened. Argh! By the time I got back to the car I was drenched.
Time to call it a day. Hayden's Birthday Cache will have to wait.
